I am dog obsessed, fun(ny?), wedding day hype girl/photog - and I may be a little biased, but I have the best job ever. I get to document the most incredible love-filled days of people’s lives. When it comes to photography and life, my philosophy is simple — come as you are and prioritize the connections you have with people you love most. That is what I love to photograph and I am damn good at it ;)
I LIVE for the energy of wedding days and I shine in organized chaos. I believe as your photographer that you should expect beautiful images of every part of your wedding day. With me you should also expect that I add to the experience of your wonderful day. When you’re in front of my lens, I will make the whole experience feel like a really fun date with a third wheel cheering you on + making you look your best. My husband and I are pretty awkward in front of a camera and she knows exactly how to work with you to help make you feel more comfortable for those “candid” shots and she will direct you for posed shots. For each session, we got our edited photos back before her estimated date which was always exciting!
Engagement session: This came with our wedding package and was a great way for us to get to know Chelsea before the wedding day. We met at a local restaurant beforehand for a drink while we chatted then went out to take the pictures. I highly recommend doing an engagement shoot with your wedding photographer!! We felt more comfortable for the wedding day AND got some amazing pictures.
Wedding: Chelsea will work with you to pick out a package that meets all your needs. We sat down and personalized one that worked perfectly. When it comes to your wedding, Chelsea really does it all! She was not just a photographer on our wedding day. She helped me with my veil, bustle, hair touch ups, getting dressed, putting together and following a timeline, and directing family members as needed. She did all this while still getting so many great shots. I was beyond impressed. Her and Ben did wonderfully capturing our wedding and I am still in awe of our pictures 2.5 years later.
Family/newborn session: Chelsea came out to us for a family photo session as we had a 2 month old at the time. We wanted to capture our baby while he was still young and to get some family pictures at the same time. We got lots of amazing pictures of our boy and of us. Chelsea made it a point to get some intimate shots (after checking with what we wanted and were comfortable with), like some of me breastfeeding my son. The pictures from this session will hold such a special place in my heart for the rest of my life, I truly couldn’t have asked for anything more.

eople and hate being the center of attention, but Chelsea was wonderful at directing us and making us feel comfortable. Our friends and family raved about how fun and talented she and her husband are. On the day of the wedding, Chelsea did a great job directing everyone to ensure we got all the pictures we'd told her we wanted. Despite challenging weather conditions, she worked with us to make sure we had a great variety of photos using many different backdrops. She also saved the day by having Tide sticks available and sat on the floor cleaning the hem of my dress before the ceremony. lans due to COVID-19. We decided on a small, intimate, backyard wedding with immediate family and a few close friends. Chelsea was gifted to us – and a gift she truly was. Looking back, I cannot imagine not having those photographs of our ceremony with family and friends. Being a rather thrown together event, her captured moments really exemplify how special the day still was. She has a natural eye and great, natural style to her pictures. Chelsea was extremely friendly and lovely to work with. She helped us feel comfortable and get some beautiful pictures in a short time frame. She was very responsive following the wedding and we were able to receive the pictures quickly! At first glance I was amazed at how many moments she was able to capture and from all different angles, having been such a “short and sweet” ceremony. We had originally hired Chelsea in late December 2019 and initially she was so great at responding to our emails and being able to make time for us and meet with us to make sure we...
were a good fit. After we decided to hire here we agreed to take engagement photos in the fall, and Chelsea wanted us to touch base as the season approached closer. As fall was approaching we reached out to try and schedule and Chelsea informed us she was pregnant and would be taking some time off. No problem! We totally understood but we would have greatly appreciated to know this sooner so we could have planned accordingly. Chelsea said in writing, that we could still schedule our engagement photos in November to still capture a Fall feel but then when it came to schedule she said she was not taking appointments until December. At this point our wedding was in January of 2021 ( so the following month) so it was almost pointless to get engagement photos and we were crushed. Also at this point MN had changed so many mandates about wedding and eventually cancelling all weddings in MN completely. We had to cancel our wedding which was completely out of our control and when we informed Chelsea of this she did not even want to give us any of our deposit back. Eventually we received half of our deposit back, but she would still not even take our engagement photos when she kept $375 from us. But on her website she charges $350 for engagement photos. We understand everyone is struggling during these times, but we were extremely disappointed!!! We also understand many things were out of Chelsea’s hands but we feel she did hardly anything to make things better in the slightest. Regardless I would not recommend due to extreme lack of communication and scheduling after falsely presenting herself as readily available for her couples.

Looking back on our wedding photos, I can’t think of a single thing that we didn’t get photos of that I wanted. She was obviously very in tune with what we wanted! She was also very discrete while taking these photos. I can’t think of a time where I felt like there was a camera in my face during the night. I felt like my husband and I could hang back and really enjoy ourselves at the wedding without having to constantly feel the need to be posed.
The only argument I had with anyone over the wedding planning process was with my mom over whether to book a photographer for the wedding. (I know this sounds crazy now, but I don’t think it was as big a thing back then as it is now) When she saw the first engagement photos, she immediately began praising Chelsea’s work and saying how it was such a good idea to book her. I’ve gotten so many complements from everyone on the photos. Booking Chelsea to do our photos was easily some of the best money spent for our wedding. We were truly impressed with her professionalism and talent.

ing process, she went above and beyond the call of duty. As a bride, it can be difficult to mesh practicality with the dreamed-of vision of floating blissfully through the day. Chelsea's experience in the industry made it so easy to create a plan that fit our vision but also allowed us to fit in the necessities (e.g., travel time between church and venue). On our wedding day, Chelsea did an excellent job shepparding our bridal party of 14 (plus ushers, families, ring bearer + flower girl, etc) and helped us keep to our stated schedule, while also being entirely flexible to our in-the-moment needs. She was also incredibly professional; we were particularly impressed with her ability to capture photos from all angles during our ceremony without anyone even noticing that she was there! In terms of the actual pictures – I could gush forever!! Chelsea has a knack for capturing couples as they truly are - I never felt like she was simply running through a "required pictures list" she let us be ourselves and captured our unique love story as it unfolded. She also managed to capture every hoped-for picture and has an incredible eye for details and moments that I will forever cherish being able to look back on.
