hmond, VA…and to be honest, I can’t 100% recall what brought us to Chelsea’s website (it was, you know, in early 2019 before the pandemic postponed everything), but I am so happy we stumbled across it. Her bright, warm, fun, and never too posed style was exactly what we were looking for, and as soon as we had our intro phone call, Mark could see in my eyes that we had found the perfect photographer. She made us feel completely at ease & we just had a great time chatting. I have only been with Chelsea in person twice, but truly consider her a friend and knew immediately that would be the case. She is the kindest, most personable, and dedicated wedding vendor (honestly, just person). Circling back to fall 2019, Chelsea traveled up to NYC for our engagement shoot. Immediately, she was able to get two awkward people to feel comfortable and captured the most amazing photos I still to this day cherish. I mean, just LOOK at this gorgeous photo of us on the east river getting splashed – could anything be better?! When 2020 hit and we decided that we were going to need to postpone our wedding, Chelsea was the first person I reached out to for availability in 2021, she was so kind and understanding throughout the whole postponement process. She was extremely flexible & reassured us that she would remain committed to helping the event, whenever it may be, go on without a hitch. 2021 had to be difficult, with so many postponed weddings on top of those originally planned for that year, but she didn’t let any of that impact her attitude, dedication to our wedding, or quality of work. When our wedding day finally came in October 2021, it was a weird day – we technically got married on our original 2020 date and the vibe was all sorts of confusing. We forgot some of the little things (like, Mark’s wedding band was on his finger at the hotel instead of in my box of items for details photos) and there was a pending storm that was trying to ruin my dream outdoor ceremony. But Chelsea was the absolute best hype girl and didn’t let any of that keep me down. Oh, and Joshua? Absolutely amazing hype man and second shooter. Think about it – when you’re booking a photographer, it’s not just someone in the background who gets photos…it’s someone you’re spending 8+ hours with all day on the most important day of your life, and she was such a great addition to our crew. I hope that captured how amazing working with Chelsea is, but the photos really top it all off. First of all, our “sneak peek” consisted of ~300 photos beautifully edited and sent literally FOUR days after our event. And let me reiterate – Chelsea was double booked all of 2021, I don’t know how this was possible. Our full gallery then came way faster than expected (just 9 days later) and included ~4,000 photos all beautifully edited. It’s like she knew I was depressed about coming home from Hawaii and needed the most amazing pick-me-up. We will be looking at these photos for the rest of our lives, and couldn’t have imagined them coming out any better. Bottom line, Chelsea is AMAZING. You should book her…now.

the perfect balance of price, location, personality, and then the gods themselves reveal Chelsea like a giant ray of SUNSHINE! COLORS! Personality! Omg every single person she shoots in her portfolio looks like an absolute 10 the way she captures their beauty and light. We had sifted through too many other great quality photographers that charge way more, so we were hoping she wasn’t too good to be true since photography is a massive decision and in our opinion one of the most important you can make about your wedding day. We did both wedding and engagement shoot with her (ask about a military discount if you are in the service). Had a blast with her at the engagement shoot and it was great not only getting to know her during that time and feel comfortable, but also to have these gorgeous photos for our save the dates. Leading up to our wedding this was one area I had NO worries about what so ever. She will answer any questions any time and make you feel super prepared and covered! Her warm caring personality and extremely comforting hype-woman status made us feel like super models. We kept saying, “I know you probably say this stuff to everyone, but you are making us feel REALLY special!” lol It is evident before during and after that Chelsea REALLY genuinely cares about her couples. N LOVE. I knew she was the right person to capture the special moments of our day and she did not disappoint. From the moment we met her and Joshua at our engagement shoot we felt like we had just made two new best friends. After our proposal, I wanted to take engagement pictures right away because I wanted to use the pictures as our engagement announcement photos but due to scheduling conflicts (on my end), we weren’t able to complete our engagement session until a later date but I didn’t worry because Chelsea came to the rescue! We searched high and low, must’ve inquired with about 20-30 photographers (that either responded with one sentence or just a price sheet) and FINALLY found Chelsea in 2018 for our 2019 wedding- she had just found her way to North Carolina and we were referred to her. Fast forward to now and she has gone above and beyond for us... and we haven’t even been able to have our wedding yet! From questions and recommendations to being there for us as a friend, she has done anything and everything possible to make this experience easier during an incredibly difficult time. Our current wedding is now rescheduled to 2021 and she is one of the ONLY vendors that has given us ZERO problems and ZERO attitude... when she very well could’ve been frustrated that we’ve had to reschedule on her three (3!) times now (one for a hurricane, two for COVID) in the two years we’ve known her. I was sick of waiting for my wedding to happen to express how much I love Chelsea— not because of her rad photography skills (which, duh, have you LOOKED at her portfolio?) but because she’s an incredible human who is making a really difficult time for us a little bit easier. I cannot wait to meet her and finally get the pictures that I know are going to be brilliant.

nce and I spoke to Chelsea in 2019 when we were first planning our April 2020 wedding and knew pretty immediately that A. here was a girl who KNEW how to take some INCREDIBLE photos with some talent and kickass gear, and B. this woman would also be the perfect fit for our personalities (my hubs is a photography dabbler extrovert and I am an introvert who needed MUCH coaching and laughter along the way). Even when we reached March 2020 and realized we would need to postpone our date, Chelsea was one of the first vendors we made sure we would be able to shift to our new date - which turned out to be September 2020. She was so flexible ahead of time, working with us to create a *second* questionnaire and day-of timeline for our new date, and on the day of. My husband and I loved the moments we got to spend with Chelsea and Josh, and we will forever treasure the photos they captured for us. Also, Chelsea got ALL of our engagement photos to us within a few days of the session, last December (they were all so romantic, and Chels and Josh traipsed all over Charlotte with us), and its only been a week since our date and she already got us about 300 GORGEOUS photos as our 'sneak peak'. So yes, 10 million stars for Chelsea. Pick her, she will not disappoint you.

Chelsea was always quick to communicate back and forth and one of the easiest people to work with! The moment she arrived to take photos on my wedding day she was a calming force. She made me feel so relaxed and I felt like I could breathe a little easier with her presence. I truly preferred having her by my side the whole day even when there were no photos to take! Her boyfriend Joshua stayed with my husband throughout the day and took some incredible photos as well - but was also just a fun and calming force for him as well. Now almost a year out from my wedding I am going through photos from the day and my gratefulness for Chelsea has only grown. ttle did I know that I would end up planning my wedding in the middle of a pandemic, and Chelsea would be one of the only stable things in my planning process. In addition to the 1,000+ stunning and perfectly us photos we got THREE days after our wedding (I have friends who had to wait months), Chelsea's constant and infectious happiness, support, and presence on our wedding day made her the best photographer I could've asked for. There was very little that went "right" in terms of my wedding, but looking at our photos, I'm filled with joy and happiness at every memory they give us. A photographer doesn't just need to take wedding pictures. They need to be someone who you know has your back and is going to be a part of one of the most important days of your life. Chelsea is all of that and more and I couldn't recommend her enough.

All within a couple of weeks, my husband and I had to postpone our wedding celebration, switch our vendors to a new date, let our guests know about our plans, and make arrangements to still go ahead and get married in a small family ceremony on our original date. We can’t understate this: Chelsea was with us every single step of the way. Weddings during normal times can be pretty stressful, and *extremely* stressful during a global pandemic. But Chelsea had our backs the entire time as we rearranged everything, planned an entirely new (and much smaller) event, and got married. On the day of our small ceremony, rainy weather meant we had to pivot and change plans yet again, but she let us know right away that she was along for the ride no matter what. When it started sprinkling on us at our first look—when we moved our ceremony indoors due to rain—when we threw together an AWESOME “grand exit” at the last second, right when the clouds parted—she was by our side, keeping us excited and on schedule the entire time. She was SUCH a fun and joyful presence on our wedding day, and our families loved her. Personality awesomeness aside, Chelsea’s work is just incredible. As a (very) amateur photographer myself, my family joked when my husband and I first got engaged that I was probably going to be pretty picky about choosing a wedding photographer. But as soon as I came across Chelsea’s work, I knew she was the one for us! Her photos are on another level: absolutely beautiful quality, full of joy, and so so colorful. The album from our small wedding day ended up being ALL of that and more: every single photo is vibrant, full of life, and captures just how special that moment was. An elderly relative who wasn’t able to be at our ceremony remarked about our photos: “They make me feel like I was there.” That is truly such a gift—both in normal times, and especially in today’s age, when we have to be apart from the family and friends we love most. Chelsea was wonderful—and continues to be so wonderful!—at all stages of this crazy ride. We were in very capable hands leading up to the wedding, on the day of our small ceremony, and after. And now, we feel so lucky to call her a friend. Not only did she make the long journey to photograph our wedding, but everyone that came in contact with her loved her! The wedding was outside and it was HOT, but you wouldn't be able to tell that from the pictures. They came out even more beautiful than I imagined. Wedding planning can be stressful and we had a million questions, but she always got back to us quickly and helped everything go smoothly. Our wedding day went smoothly and on schedule since Chelsea was flexible, efficient, and stayed on top of everything so we could enjoy our day! We have all the breathtaking photos to prove it! I am definitely hiring her again for future photo sessions! On a personal level, Chelsea is just a really wonderful human being. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and is incredibly thoughtful, kind, and easy to talk to. I think very few vendors can maintain the kind of relationship Chelsea creates with the people who work with her. It truly is a gift, and so is she. Summary: Top notch photographer, A+++ human. o have earth toned photos, which are absolutely beautiful. But they aren't real life. When I look back on our photos, I want to be able to envision what it truly looked like in that moment-- the life, love, and excitement all around. Chelsea's photos were FULL of color and energy. I knew we had to have her as our photographer. From the start, Chelsea was always quick and easy to communicate with, full of enthusiasm, so kind, and very funny. Soon after, we scheduled our engagement photos with her and were set to go! The day came for engagement photos and it was raining! I reached out early in the day to see what her thoughts were. She suggested we wait until later in the day to make a decision. This made me feel so at ease. She wasn't quick to cancel; she truly waited with me until the last final moment to make a decision-- to ensure we had the best photos possible. This is just who Chelsea is-- she pours her heart and her soul into what she does. She is in it with you. She wants the absolute best for you and your photos. We ended up rescheduling due to the rain, and Chelsea was able to quickly help us pick another evening for our engagement session. I'm so glad we did, because it was PERFECT. My now-husband was NOT looking forward to these photos. He tried to get out of it so many times. But I held strong and he ended up having a blast! Afterward, all he could do was rave about how funny Chelsea was, how at ease she made us both feel, and how we should go on a double date with her and Josh, because he just had that much fun! I'm still swooning over our engagement photos over a year later! Chelsea stayed in contact during the year, checking in and answering questions as I had them pop into my head. She sent us a wedding worksheet, to ensure she had ALL the information. She then sent me a day-of photography timeline. Wedding day came and Chelsea and Josh arrived! They immediately got to work! They hit all the items on my wedding worksheet (all the things I wanted to ensure we got photos of). They worked quickly, and stuck to their timeline, to ensure no photo was left out! Chelsea and Josh split up to get photos of the guys and the girls separately. They knocked everything off my photo wish list, and did it perfectly! Chelsea was very upfront ahead of time, that by having a wedding in January and not doing a first look, that this would mean having only minutes after the ceremony to get outside for some pictures with good lighting! They both helped keep us on track after the ceremony to get all our pictures completed on time. During the reception, Chelsea and Josh were the perfect hype men. They helped keep the party going, and photographed everything along the way! It truly felt like having two of your best friends dancing with you and just photographing the entire night! After the wedding, the groomsmen raved about how awesome Josh was to work with, and my bridesmaids, mother, and MIL all adored Chelsea! We got our sneak peek back SO quickly, and our wedding album followed not long after! Everyone (especially my husband and I) are completely OBSESSED with our photos. Chelsea and Josh did were outstanding! She is a perfectionist. She wants your day to be PERFECT. She wants your photos to be PERFECT. And it's fair to say she succeeds.

d after looking at a few of her galleries - I WAS SOLD! Chelsea is very detailed in her work and makes sure she doesn’t miss a single shot. Her bf Joshua came along as a second shooter and my husband and his groomsmen loved him! Chelsea and Joshua make sure to work quickly and efficiently all while still making sure you’re having a blast! Also, we had our ENTIRE gallery in just 4 days after our wedding!! You just can’t beat that. If you are trying to decide whether or not to book, JUST DO IT! You will not regret it! BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER EVER!

want to look through your images over and over and over again reliving every moment in vibrant color and detail! (Trust me I’ve looked through every wedding picture at least 100 times.) She can capture angles and lighting that you didn’t know were possible! Okay so her work is absolute perfect but beyond that she’s an AMAZING human!! She won’t make you feel like you’re aggravating her when you ask for 200 different combinations of family photos, she will however make you laugh and feel confident in your own skin! Let’s face it, most of us feel awkward when in front of a camera but Chels takes the awkward out of it, she ensures you’re posed and ready to go! I loved every second of having her as part of our big day!! I would love to see her again and grab a beer because not only is she insanely talented but she’s insanely cool. Seriously, make the invest and hire this girl, you won’t regret it.

She is SO organized, extremely professional, yet makes you feel like her best friend. She showed up an HOUR early before her scheduled time on the day of our wedding. She scoped out the venue and even started taking detailed shots of the venue and my bridal accessories before she was even supposed to be there. She made myself, my husband and every single person at our wedding feel like a rock star. She has a way of motivating people that truly brings out the best and makes for great pictures.
