I'm Chelsea, the face and the camera behind Chelsea Rousey Photography. I am madly in love with this job, and to photograph your wedding is truly an honor. I always come away from a wedding on a cloud. I come away feeling like I’ve just experienced something beautiful and one of a kind and momentous.
For me, a wedding has always been a grand beginning. Rather than “the best day of your lives” I want to help commemorate the “first day of the rest of your lives”. Making the brave decision to turn two separate storylines into one rich and lifelong narrative is about much more than just one day. Your wedding is about celebrating the people who helped you along the way, the perfect moments of new love as well as the lessons in the imperfect times when things don’t go according to plan. It’s about celebrating the love that you have for each other that’s brought you to where you are today.
I blend fine art and documentary photography to tell your story with bright, timeless, emotive imagery. My Wedding Collections are designed to ensure that your story is told exactly how you want it to be. I celebrate all genuine expressions of love.

took our engagement photos downtown New Orleans and they are everything and more. She was able to totally capture the lightheartedness of me and my then fiance. ON our wedding day she was very professional and got everything done in our allotted time. She stayed organized by sending us a schedule a few weeks before. We have not gotten our full album back yet ( because the wedding only happened a week ago), but the teaser photos are so gorgeous so I know the rest of the pictures will be too. She is a great communicator and is totally on top of her work and preparation for what needs to be done. She made us feel so incredibly at ease during our engagement shoot and the photos turned out absolutely beautiful. Chelsea is also just a lovely and kind person to be around. Our only disappointment after the engagement shoot was that we won’t get to see Chelsea again until the wedding! Book her—you won’t regret it!

It didn't felt like we were posing, she engaged with us and even got my husband to look natural in pictures lol (he always looks super awkward.
