everyone starts out by doing engagement photos with Chelsea. It allows you to work together before the wedding day and you will feel so much more comfortable in front of the camera thanks to it. We were nervous at first, but within minutes Chelsea made us feel at home and as if we’d been friends with her for years. She was the best hype person! She did an excellent job of making us feel confident while in front of the camera and bringing out those genuine smiles. Plus you get incredible photos to use for all of your wedding planning! Chelsea works so hard to edit photos in a timely manner and we were so impressed with her turn around time of getting us sneak peaks and our full gallery.
Chelsea pays careful attention to ensure that all of the big and little details of your wedding day get captured. The day of our wedding had a lot of rain and Chelsea arrived at our hotel early to ensure she didn’t get stuck in traffic due to the weather. Our wedding planner was so impressed with Chelsea getting right to work on detail shots and made the comment to me that typically photographers do not spend that much time on detail pictures- and we are so grateful she did as they are some of our favorite photos!
Chelsea has a second shooter who helps on the day of the wedding. For our wedding day it was Maria, who was also incredible to work with. I feel very fortunate that Chelsea has such incredible connections with local photographers who can assist her in order to ensure all of the special moments from the day are able to be captured. During the wedding we had multiple people come up to us and say, “Your photographer is awesome!”. We had the utmost confidence that Chelsea would capture every single moment of our special day. From getting ready, to first look, to family portraits, to the ceremony, first dances, and reception, Chelsea was there capturing it all. We were blown away when we got the photos back, and we still look through them periodically and smile at how fantastic they turned out.
We will never be able to thank Chelsea enough for capturing the most beautiful and timeless photos of our wedding. These photos are something we will cherish forever and we are so grateful they are of such great quality. THANK YOU Chelsea from the bottom of our hearts!

At the wedding, she was careful to photograph everything we asked for, and many other moments we didn't even know we wanted until we saw them. neither is my husband, but somehow she managed to put us at ease and captured some great candid shots. She braved the 40 degree weather by the lake, two rowdy pups, and two shy people for our engagement shots and did it all with a smile.
And she was indispensable at our wedding. I was thrilled at what she captured! Chelsea is the master at discreetly capturing those magical, hidden moments during weddings that are reminders of how special and important that day is. She worked magically behind the scenes, though I somehow managed to get her on the dance floor at the end of the night! I'm so grateful to have her talent and work around my home now.

Before I got married, I was told to focus on two things while planning and not stress about the rest- the photographer and the honeymoon. The honeymoon, because that is a gift to yourself, and the photographer because after the last petal is thrown and the cake is eaten, your photographic memories are all you have left. Hiring Chelsea Sliwa Photography for our engagements and wedding was without a doubt the best and easiest decision we made during the wedding process. Now that I’ve gone through the process with her, I’m confident to say I made the right choice and I would choose her again and again. As soon as she took on our wedding, she was by my side with advice, tips, encouragement and laughter right up until the last guest left. Chelsea's talent and work speak for themselves, but just as valuable is her work ethic, her professionalism, and her genuine kindness. I'm excited to work with her again in the future!
