Chenault Vineyards

We had our wedding at Chenault Vineyards 10 years ago when it was known as Acres of Land. This year we walked back out to our wedding spot and renewed/recited our wedding vows, just the two of us along with our daughter who took photos. We love that the vineyard is open in the evenings for guests to walk around and enjoy the trails, beautiful scenery and of course the restaurant on-site. We have the most wonderful date-night dinners, drinks and enjoy listening to music at Chenault Vineyards. This is a wonderful place to have a wedding, vow-renewal, or other party or event.

Our reception at Tate Page Reception Hall was just perfect! The grounds were the perfect background for our night and made for breathtaking pictures. The hall was stunning with all the decorations as well. My only complaint about Chenault is that they were at times difficult to communicate with and were sometimes not clear on prices and fees. But, when all was said and done, the staff worked hard to provide great catering and bar services and we had a wonderful reception there.

MJ is WONDERFUL!! If nothing else, hire him for your wedding planning. But there is nothing special about the grounds. We wanted a black tie formal wedding and they were going to put us in a tent with roll up sides ($12,000 alone). The price is crazy for what you’re getting.

I recently had my wedding here at Chenault Vineyards in May. While the grounds are beautiful and made for amazing pictures, the service is lacking. We were supplied with tables and chairs for the reception at Paige Hall. My family had to go in and sweep this building the morning of because Chenault did not do this prior to. The Point, my ceremony location, was absolutely breathtaking. However, Chenault, brought out the number of chairs we requested dumped them off in a pile and left my mother to clean the bird droppings off of all 100 chairs used. We had originally rented 150 chairs for this location, however, after rsvp's arrived we were only at 100 guests. The day of, Chenault refused to get the extra chairs out of the way. Who wants empty seats in their wedding photos? The disabled and the elderly also had to walk out to The Point due to no cars allowed out there, which we were informed of prior to booking location. However, for our special day, were promised a golf cart/ driver for that day to transport the elderly and handicap guests. The golf cart finally showed up when my wedding coordinator went and requested I (the bride) be driven. Which Chenault later informed me was out of courtesy for me (although we discussed it prior to) and that the golf cart was only for handicap and disabled. If you decorate The Point don’t expect them to bring your decorations back with their chair 150 chairs. You must walk out there and carry them back because remember no cars are allowed out there. We also had to pay for security and parking attendants which weren't there so who knows what the extra $250 went for. On top of all this a sound system had to be purchased the day of since their speakers didn’t work. This is after I texted the manager on two different occasions (she said she would find out the first time and never responded), days before the wedding asking what kind of connection the speakers had for my DJ. Worst of all due to my mother having to run around setting up chairs, cleaning bird droppings off of chairs and purchasing a sound system minutes before my wedding, my mother was unable to help get me dressed for my special day. I have literally no pictures of those special moments brides typically get with their mother while getting ready for the day. To top everything else off, when setting down for dinner, my now husband went to the bar to buy me a coke, however, the manager of Chenault, would not sell him one, stating coke was for bourbon only! Also, so called manager is not very good at responding to any emails.
