Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry

I was so thrilled with my wedding day makeup from Chenese Bean. I found Chenese because I asked a good friend of mine who had done her wedding makeup- I had loved the look of it and knew that’s what I wanted for my wedding makeup as well. You can see from the images on her website that Chenese does high quality work, and she is often booked for photo shoots and tv makeup, so you know she’s got to be good! Chenese was great about working with me in order for me to be able to book her for wedding makeup, and she was able to come to our getting ready location to do the makeup, which was essential for our wedding day timeline. She was able to find the perfect balance of making me look gorgeous but I still looked like myself. I am so glad I chose Chenese and am so happy with the result. I knew these were pictures I would be looking at for the rest of my life, I’m so happy with how beautiful she made me feel. =)

Chenese was really great to work with for our wedding. I loved the trial and am really happy we decided to have her do makeup for the bridal party. I loved my makeup on our wedding and it was nice to not have to worry about doing it myself. She was super friendly and her work is amazing!

I had a wonderful experience with Chenese! She was quick to respond to email,text, phone calls. She did my makeup for my engagement pictures and my boudoir pictures and I have never looked/felt more beautiful! She listened to me but also got creative and everyone in my bridal party looked absolutely beautiful. She is so funny and easygoing, she could tell I was stressed out and she had all my girls circle me and she gave me a neck massage!! Talk about above and beyond?! I cannot recommended her enough and I cant wait to work with her in the future.

I did NOT have a good experience with Chenese Bean at all. Chenese was unprofessional from the beginning. I had a difficult time In attempting to contract with Chenese. She claimed that there were glitches in her website and never received any of my messages whether I sent her inquiries from her parent website or to her gmail email account. I had to have a friend directly inbox her for me. Chenese then reached out to me and I was able to proceed with booking her makeup services about 8 months before my wedding. When it was time for me to schedule my engagement photo session and makeup trail run, I had to text Chenese twice before she responded with her availability. Days before my trial run, I found out from a friend that Chenese's studio had changed locations. This was something I did not know. I called Chenese on the morning of my trial run to confirm the time and location with her. She answered the phone and said " I normally don't answer the phone for clients this early" told her "I don't know your hours and I texted you twice & there was no response. I want to be sure that I show up at the right place at the right time." She never once apologized for not telling me about the location change or for her attitude. 5 weeks before my wedding I reached out to her via email twice to confirm some critical details. She never responded.19 days before my wedding I called her. She told me that in fact she did receive my emails but she got them late due to "glitches" in her website.......again. She then told me that she was no longer able to work my wedding!!! The most frustrating aspect of this entire situation is the fact that she canceled her contracted job with me yet she continued to work other jobs. I was informed that she even provided makeup services to someone else on my wedding day that I originally contracted for. Tacky. Rude. Unreliable. Unprofessional.

Very hard to get a hold of prior to event. Needs an assistant for weddings. Did not feel like a priority. However makeup was beautiful even though she did not use airbrush like I wanted in the original package.

While I will start with the positive, on our wedding day, she made everyone look amazing. Not over the top and over done, every single girl, including myself, looked natural and gorgeous!! She even came to the church before the ceremony for last minute touch ups and a quick lip gloss! However, the process wasn't as easy as I'd wished. From the very first contact on trying to get a hold of her wasn't easy. I had to try a few times before, and she sent me an email with information to fill out (I just said we were considering using her). Once I sent that in, I was sent back a contract and a bill for a deposit. I went ahead and booked with her. On my trial run, I went ahead and paid the rest of what was due, so I didn't have to worry about anything. About a month and a half before the wedding, I received an email stating I still owed money, it looked like a generic template that was sent out to everyone, so I assumed it was an accident. So right away, I emailed her just to make sure we had settled up. I sent 4 emails, left voice-mails, and sent numerous text messages from that day to a MONTH after, and heard nothing. As you get about a month out from your wedding, you're stressed and not hearing from a vendor isn't exactly calming. I finally sent one last message simply stating, if you aren't coming please let me know. Immediately she called me back, confused and stating her email doesn't work. All worked out, but it was unnecessary stress that was needed. But, other than not being able to ever get in contact, her services were great otherwise. We all felt and looked fantastic!!!

Let me first state that Chenese is an artist! I am not a makeup guru by any means, but she helped make me look amazing! You can tell that she is very passionate about her work and takes pride in what she does. The closer the time came for me to walk down the aisle, I turned into more of a diva! 😜Chenese remained calm and catered to any changes I wanted right away. She was very flexible and although, I ran off schedule she stayed to help make my day beautiful. That isn't something that you see too often. If you want to look flawless on your big day, Chenese Bean is the only name that you need to know!!!

I was going to use Chenese because she was one of the only people I could find in Cincinnati that made Brides look glamorous plus she had a coupon on her website that you and one of your bridesmaids could use. I reached out to her via her website and it took her a week or so to get back with me. I even called and left her a couple of messages. Still no response. I finally did reach her and she said that her computer was down and wasn't sending out her emails (yeah right, my husband is an IT person)So when I asked her about my date she said what she always does, "I'm with a bride right now can I call you back?" and she never does. She acted like I was inconvenincing her by asking her to do my makeup. I continued to email and text message her for a little over 2 months trying to get a straight answer as to whether she was available for my date. Finally I found someone else who ended up being FANTASTIC at Eye do make up and hair. She finally text me back and told me she was going to send me the information I needed if I was still interested. I never responded. My bridesmaid emailed Chenese to make an appointment for us to get our makeup done for the rehearsal dinner since we had the coupon. After a week passed and she still never got a response back she finally called Chenese. She told my BM she was available that day and the times she had available, my bm also told her that we were going to use her for the wedding but never got a response when Chenese said my name looked familiar. When my BM called Chenese back to tell her what time we wanted to come in (not to my suprise) Chenese had already supposedly booked a wedding because she hadn't heard back from my BM, despite the fact she had her contact info. So now we have these gift certicates and can't use them! DO NOT BUY her GIFT CERTICATES unless you plan on eating the $35 you spent!

I can't express how happy I was with Chenese’s work on my wedding day! I am in awe of her talent. Not only did she make this nervous bride feel confident and even princess-like throughout my entire wedding day, but my pictures are amazing! I am glowing in each and every photograph. The make-up lasted the entire day - through the ceremony, pictures, and even to the end of the reception. I can honestly say that she exceeded my expectations by far! If you’re looking for a way to take your bridal look to the next level, you should definitely look into Chenese Bean!

Chenese was great. She traveled from my hotel to my wedding venue and completed all our makeup. She is truly a sweet heart. Some of my bridesmaids thought everyone should have received airbrush but only got tradional makeup. I loved my wedding look.

Chenese was very professional and made me and my bridesmaids look absolutely gorgeous on the big day!! Some of my bridesmaids do not wear makeup and they were pleasantly surprised at how good Chenese made them look. I would definitely recommend her for all your makeup needs!!

Chenese did a flawless job on everyone's makeup. I've never felt so beautiful and everyone commented on how beautiful I looked. Plus she was just a joy to work with and she is competitively priced.

Chenese is truly the perfect combination of class, professionalism, and personality. Not only is she incredibly talented but she has a way of making you feel comfortable almost like you have known here for years. She is very responsive to email, phone, text ect. I never had to wait to hear back from her. She did my makeup for both my engagement pictures and my wedding and I have never felt more beautiful in my life than I did on these two days. Chenese takes her time to make sure your makeup is perfect and that it lasts...believe me it shows! My makeup still looked great the morning after my wedding! If you are lucky enough to book her for your event you should know that you will receive nothing less than the best!!!

Chenese is an angel, sent from heaven! She made my wedding so wonderful! Not only is she an artist, she is a true friend! How else can you describe a woman who is talented with makeup, who made me look like me, but BETTER!! She is Flexible, patient, professional, and kind!! She not only did my makeup, but when a disaster occured with the zipper on my dress, she stayed until it was fixed! When I finally got in the dress, she jumped up and down with me like it was her wedding!! She stayed with me @the venue, for a final touch up and pep talk! She truly made a difference in my day....

Chenese is the best make up artist ever! She is professional and reasonable with pricing, which is just a plus. In addition, her work is flawless and beautiful. I recieved so many compliments on my make up, as well as my bridesmaids and mother. She has an amazing personality as well, which just makes the experience even better. THANK YOU CHENESE!!!!!!!!!!

Chenese was absolutely wonderful to work with. She is so talented at creating any "look" you're going for with beautiful artistry! I loved my bridal look and she really listened to what I was going for. Chenese also did makeup for my 58 year old mother, who looked stunning. My mom was so happy with her makeup and got a TON of compliments from our family. Chenese was very professional and pleasant to be with as we were getting ready in the morning. Highly recommended!

I first heard about Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry from my wedding planner. I immediately booked her when I saw all of the awesome reviews she had gotten plus all of the gorgeous brides in her photos. I had a large wedding party and Chenese was willing to take on all 10 of us. My preview of my wedding day makeup was beautiful. She understood exactly waht I was going for and even my mom was impressed. On the day of the wedding I made sure to pass along one tid bit of information that my "soon to be husband" asked me to tell her... Not to put 'too' much makeup because he wanted me to still look like me! :) Chese did a phenomenal job on all of the girls including my mom :) One of my bridesmaids loved her so much she booked her that very next week for her July 2011 wedding. I even booked her as a surprise for my Maid of Honor at her wedding this past October. And her prices are definitley reasonable! I would highly highly recommend Chenese to anyone who had an upcoming event or wedding. I will probably use her again for anniversary photos next year. If I could I'd have her as a live in makeup artist. :) she is truly talented and has a wonderful personality to match. :)

Absolutely LOVE Chenese! She provided the makeup services for my Matron of Honor and bridesmaids and for my wedding. My makeup for when I was a bridesmaid and for my wedding was absolutely flawless and even with my sensitive skin, I was fine. She was so great to work with and all of my bridesmaids were so happy with their makeup. Thank you so much Chenese for everything over these past few years of being in a wedding and planning my own :-)

Chenese was fantastic! She was on time for every appointment, and did and any little 'extra' I needed (airbrushed my chest b/c I get red when I'm nervous :/ ) She did makeup for all of my bridesmaids, both mom's, and the flowergirl... and everyone looked incredible all night! <3 airbrushing!

Let me first tell you that I don't let anyone else EVER do my makeup. I love to do my own, and I do a great job. Therefore, I'm extremely picky when it comes to how I want it done. I didn't want to worry about doing my own makeup for my wedding, and more importantly I wanted it to last. Chenese was referred to me by a local bridal salon, and I'm so happy I found her. She was wonderful to work with from the very beginning. She was professional, helpful, fair, and was great with her follow-up. Wedding planning gets crazy, but this part of the planning was a piece of cake. Wedding day came along, and Chenese was prompt to appear, thorough in her timeline (she did makeup for 9 people in my wedding with plenty of time to spare), and we were all gorgeous! My eyes were amazing, and I never received so many compliments on them before. My bridal party was also estatic with their results. 12 hours later, I still looked amazing. Her technique gives you a bullet proof face! No kidding!! All in all, I couldn't be happier that Chenese was my makeup stylist. The whole experience was truly effortless, and I enjoyed her company during my very special day. Thank you Chenese for your amazing work. What was important to me for my look was for it to have a glamourous old Hollywood feel. A lot of brides want a more natural look which is easier to accomplish. A makeup artist that can put on bold makeup and not look overdone is extremely tricky in my few makeup experiences. Chenese did that PERFECTLY and is a master at making you look like a model out of a magazine. The makeup looks perfect in to pictures and that is so important! All of my bridesmaids were absolutely stunning. We all has the same feel with a color pallet that matched each girls tone perfectly!! We walked around like glamour queens that night. It was wonderful and Chenese was with us all day working to make it perfect. She is a joy to be around and easy to communicate with as you plan your bridal look. Don't settle for okay makeup on your wedding day... get exactly what you want and look like a model with Chenese Bean!!!

It's nice to feel like one of Chenese's celebrity clients without the movie star price....Each time I come back in Cincy from NY, I treat myself to Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry!

Chenese was fantastic! I had two trials with her and she was so patient and gracious. The day of the wedding, she was punctual and courteous and just a pleasure to have around. All of the bridesmaids looked wonderful and were pleasantly surprised by their finished looks. I would recommend Chenese 100%.
