We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue than the Chequessett Club. The setting overlooking Wellfleet Harbor was absolutely beautiful and made the perfect backdrop for our day. Our guests are still talking about the view and how special the atmosphere felt. We looked at several other venues while planning our wedding, but we ultimately couldn’t deny the convenience and ease that came with everything Chequessett Club provided. Having the tent, tables, chairs, and so many other amenities included made the entire planning process so much less stressful and allowed us to truly enjoy the experience instead of worrying about logistics. The tent was perfect for our buffet sit-down dinner and created such a warm, elegant atmosphere for everyone to gather together. The venue itself offered so many great spaces throughout the night. The boathouse was the perfect place to dance the night away, and the fire pits gave guests a cozy spot to relax, catch their breath, and enjoy the beautiful harbor views between dances. A huge thank you to Tracy, the event director, who truly went above and beyond every step of the way. Since we didn’t have a wedding planner (not to recommend this!), Tracy became our go-to person for absolutely everything and handled it all with kindness, professionalism, and incredible attention to detail. She made us feel supported from start to finish and helped make our wedding day seamless and unforgettable. In addition to Tracy, all of the bartenders, golf cart drivers, set up and break down crews were absolutely spectacular. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure our guests had an amazing experience. Their energy and professionalism added so much to the day and did not go unnoticed. We highly recommend the Chequessett Club to anyone looking for a stunning Cape Cod wedding venue with an amazing team behind it!

This venue was absolutely stunning! We had the best day of our lives here. The venue is unique in terms of the set up and not for your super formal traditional atmosphere. It was the most perfect place for our celebration together. I loved how casual yet special it felt going from the beach to the deck, the tent for dinner, and then back to the boathouse for dancing. The venue has great options for all guests. You can dance the night away on the dance floor in the boat house, play cornhole by the firepit, or chat on the deck all night. My bridesmaids, family, and myself used the getting ready room over looking the water. We got to see the firsts guests come in, and the food from the restaurant was perfect for getting ready. My only complaint is that I wish the night was longer! ;)

Tracy has 3 years’ experience at Chequessett Club, both with Membership incentives and sales, and Event sales. Prior to Chequessett, Tracy has been a custom interior designer for the last 2 decades, during which she owned her own design firm for 8 years. She served for 3 years as a board member of the Maritime Condominium Association and a volunteer at the Maritime Aquarium in CT. She has a great appreciation for art and architecture and an unconditional love for her family and friends

Chequessett Club can truly be defined as the wedding venue gem of the Cape. Tucked away, laid back, gorgeous views, and not nearly as over-priced as some of the other Cape options....

Our guests have complimented the venue over and over. Tracy and her staff were amazing to work with. They truly are wedding pros and somehow ran the behind the scenes so smoothly that if anything did go wrong we would've had no idea. Tracy was a pleasure to work with and gave us excellent recommendations for vendors. She also seemed genuinely excited for us and our big day, which made it all the more special. We are so glad that we stumbled upon Chequessett and would highly recommend to any couple looking for that Cape Cod wedding experience without the hefty price tag.

to find a location that wasn’t crazy expensive. Chequessett made having our dream wedding AFFORDABLE. The campus is absolutely picturesque; to the fairy lights and lanterns in the boathouse, to the airy tent for dinner, the location is unmatched. They use the space on the beach so well, giving every section of your big day a moment to shine. Your guests will enjoy gorgeous views of the ocean during dinner and get to watch the moon rise over the bay during dancing. Our guests were stunned by how beautiful it all was and couldn’t believe this place existed all this time! We had the Cape wedding of our dreams because of Chequessett and we can't recommend it enough!

family, and being able to get married overlooking the bay, have dinner in a beautiful tent on the sand and then move to the boat house for dancing provided the perfect setup to celebrate. We loved moving through various spaces to create a different vibe for each part of the night. Reven and the whole team at Chequessett were so accommodating and great to work with. While the bathrooms are up a slight hill (be mindful for older guests) they ran golf carts all night to bring people up the hill, which made this a complete non-issue. We can't wait to stop by Chequessett when we're back on the Cape to say hi!

We did our casual ceremony on the beach with cocktails, cocktail hour in the boathouse and out on the sand, dinner under the sailcloth tent, and dancing in the boathouse. Chequesset Club was the perfect setting for our daughter’s Cape Cod beach wedding in June 2022 with 150 guests. The ceremony was held on the beach at low tide with gorgeous views...

including sail boats in the distance. Cocktails before dinner and dancing after dinner (with a great band) were held in the Club’s classic boat house complete with its marine blue sliding barn doors opening up to a porch the length of the boathouse overlooking the bay. The reception was under a large open-sided tent also on the beach with a full moon view that night. Chequesset’s wedding coordinator, Reven, is terrific and worked together seamlessly with our wedding planner, Allison, from Elegant Engagements. We chose Casual Gourmet as our caterer. The Club did a great job with the bar and had a full array of wine and liquor selections and mastered our unique signature cocktails. The Snowy Owl coffee cart was also a big hit during the dancing (including for espresso martinis). We wanted an elegant yet simple venue and chose Chequesset over other venues because we wanted a more natural less manicured drop-dead gorgeous setting. Chequesset delivered 100%. We didn’t use the clubhouse at all (except for its restrooms and rooms for the bridal party to get ready).

had to do it over I would choose this venue again BUT it was difficult working with the staff at Chequessett. The price to book at Chequesett vs some of the bigger well known venues on the Cape is a better deal but when they say they are not full service, they mean it. So that was on the one draw back. When considering the price and making your decision to book I would factor in the cost for a wedding planner on top of the cost offered. We had a planner and it still wasn't without hiccups - mostly due to a lack of communication and limited hours of the CYCC staff on site to respond to any of our questions.

p us navigate our ever-changing plans. She was such a comfort throughout the planning process. After a seamless (though sad) postponement, we got to finally have our perfect day. Anyone who plans a wedding knows things go awry. That said, we didn’t have to worry day of. Tia worked with our wedding coordinator and we got to just relax and enjoy from the ceremony on the beach, through a charming cocktail hour and dinner, right through dancing. We also have to add that Chequessett was pet friendly! We got to have our ring-bearer dog with us the whole time! Pretty much anything we thought of to make our wedding special was met by enthusiasm and from Tia and her team. Chequessett made our dream day a reality and we’ll remember it forever! They calmed my nerves and assured us that no matter what, the wedding would be beautiful. Like magic, the storm cleared out to beautiful blue sunny skies 30 minutes before the ceremony started. We got to have our ceremony on the beach, dinner on the clubhouse deck, and dancing and dessert in the boathouse just as we had planned! We used Van Rensselaer’s as our caterer and that was the best choice we could’ve made! Diane was AMAZING. So organized, so helpful, and did an awesome job transforming the tables into exactly what we wanted. I can’t say enough good things about Diane!

The location is also beautiful, we are still getting compliments from friends and family about how wonderful the venue was. If I had to do our wedding all over again I would always pick CYCC.

s a dream wedding for us. The folks at the venue were wonderful, Tia, Erika, Barb, Chris, (and the golf cart shuttle-r, I forgot her name - she was great getting our guests to the restrooms). Our guests were just wowed by the view and the venue. All of our vendors to us and our guests, worked basically seamlessly together at the venue. We had the best celebration ever. We were looking for something special and unique and beautiful and it was absolutely perfect - the flow of the ceremony and reception with the Boathouse right there was amazing. We know we are so very lucky we got to have our wedding there, our families and friends had the best time and we're still receiving compliments on it - the relaxation, beauty, location, etc. Thank you for everything Chequessett! We had a wonderful wedding at CYCC this July: we chose to have our entire event in the boathouse with the ceremony on the beach and it was absolutely beautiful and perfect for the ...

relaxed, rustic but elegant atmosphere we were going for. Tia, the event manager, is very kind and helpful and on the day of the wedding everything went very smoothly. Bear in mind that the venue is kind of a DIY job: you decorate the venue yourself, and Tia doesn't act as a planner or day-of coordinator beyond managing CYCC staff so if that's something you want you will need to plan for that additionally. This is reflected in the price which is lower than for other similar venues who would offer those extra services and I think the extra difficulties associated with taking on these aspects is outweighed by the freedom you get: many other "package" type venues have 2 or even 3 weddings per day and it's very much a conveyor belt and impersonal. At CYCC I felt we had the time, space and attention that we needed to make it a really, really special day. I would highly recommend them!

our wedding to make sure everything went smooth! We were able to have our small ceremony on the private beach and then our reception in the clubhouse dining room overlooking the Wellfleet harbor. Just a beautiful venue with a lot of charm, warm welcoming staff and amazing memories.

among the most beautiful in the world), but they provided a wonderful venue and backdrop for our celebration and they managed every last detail to deliver an exceptional, quintessentially classic Cape Cod experience. We had cocktails and dancing in the boathouse - which were both magical - and dinner up in the Club house, which afforded very comfortable seating and gorgeous views in every direction. Gina and Barbara are consummate professionals and, with their team, worked really hard to make the event surpass our every expectation. We loved working with them and our guests loved the setting. It was a story book experience and we cannot recommend CYCC and the team there highly enough.

didn't show up! She also didn't show up to the rehearsal and the actual night of the wedding she was no where to be found half the night and while she was suppose to be "coordinating" she was delegating the tasks to the GROOM and the GROOMSMEN! Such a disappointment! In light of her shortcomings the OTHER staff at Chequessett is absolutely wonderful, helpful, and delightful.
