I hired Cherie to be our day of coordinator at our wedding venue in SLO. She offered great package that included monthly check ins. Note that she had never worked or seen this venue before, so I was a little hesitant, but we set up a visit before the wedding which, in my mind, was her going the extra mile. I think it helped the wedding day go even smoother. I was also a big DIY bride who liked to bounce ideas off of her and she was so helpful. She kept everything leading up to the wedding in check. For the day of, she set up the venue exactly as I envisioned. She had such a wonderful, positive attitude. We were able to enjoy our wedding day and all of our guests as Cherie took care of the behind the scene events. She kept us on our timeline and it truly was such a seamless day. She went above and beyond in so many ways and I am very thankful.

Cherie and her team are phenomenal. From Day 1 we clicked with Cherie. She is so genuinely caring and has impeccable customer service. She is always available for you, gives great advice, and has built a Rolodex of outstanding vendors, all of whom have similar personalities as hers. We hired most of her vendors and were so impressed. The day of, her team ensured our wedding was seamless. They are so professional that most of the time we did not even know they were there (the sign of a very high quality planning team). Cherie worked directly with our venue and took much of the burden off us for the planning phases and day of itinerary / run of show. Cherie is amazing! She was very helpful with the planning process from the beginning and was very detail oriented. She also had great suggestions for vendors and coordinating our wedding timeline. She was also a great person to go to for help when we were feeling overwhelmed with the planning process. On the day of, she helped coordinate all of the vendors and volunteers, and helped our day be stress free, which was a priority for us and a Godsend! My daughter knew she wanted a farm/orchard wedding & having been visiting Riley's Farm since third grade there was no other choice. Cherie Riley 100% fulfilled every dream & desired aesthetic. After the first hurricane to hit SoCal in 80+ yrs, the area the reception was to be held was ruined by mud slides; in only 3 days Cherie had another location that was perfect. What could've been a disaster was saved by Cherie & her team. Guests were totally unaware of any changes & EVERYBODY said it was the best wedding/reception they'd attended. The reception area was decorated perfectly, like a dream, and the staff were awesome. Cherie offers her own home for the bridal party to get ready at and again the vibe is country chic & relaxing. Cherie totally makes the whole wedding prep experience stress free. We can't recommend her & her team enough A+++ Her IG shows many other wedding styles she has planned across the country, Whatever your vibe, Cherie's got it covered. Rustic, beachy, modern she knows what you're looking for and delivers. As the MOB I can't thank Cherie enough for easing the stress and having a beautiful, peace about her at all times. Cherie’s professionalism with friendship, and communication was invaluable to the smooth running of the wedding. We had several informative meetings beforehand. From these we knew Cherie totally shared our vision for what we were wanting. Again, I can't praise Cherie and the entire Riley family enough, they're a God send. 10/10

Cherie is one of the most patient people we could have hired for our daughter's Quinceañera. My husband and I started planning a year before our daughter's (15th birthday). At first, I was trying to do it alone, bringing so much frustration and stress between our daughter and me. There were times I wanted to cancel the entire event. Before hiring Cherie, I constantly told my daughter, "We are behind. Please do something." "Your birthday will not happen if you don't put some effort into making it happen." When Cherie met with our daughter, they immediately connected, and our daughter was able to start getting more involved. When our daughter would not get going again, and I was once again frustrated, I would call Cherie with so much frustration. Cherie was calm, let me speak, and helped me feel reassured that everything was going to go just as we wanted. She set up more meetings with our daughter and appointments for both our daughter and me. Cherie has an amazing ability to notice details. For example, when she came with us to see the venue, she noticed that the front tables' setup would not look as good as they were. She stated that she didn't like having our daughter sit in between two tables. Instead, she advised that the venue change the table arrangements to make the tables look like one long table. This is just one of the many details she coordinated for us. Though you may not see this detail's importance, the head table would have looked bad, and our daughter would have been uncomfortable. We had such ease using the website to input guess and their address and keeping track of who was coming and who was not. We were also able to create a sitting chart. Cherie gave our daughter the deadlines she needed to be still motivated to help and give us the time we needed to connect and enjoy the process. On the day of our event, Cherie had an assistant, and I cannot state enough how Cherie's attention to detail and her choice of assistant made the evening run so smoothly. I had NOTHING to worry about, including getting the food picked up. Our daughter had chosen several different menus, though all local, still needed to be picked up and driven to the venue. From the Dominican food to pizza and arranging desserts, none of our guests had to worry about anything. Cherie also coordinated throughout the planning process with our decor coordinators; her communication with them was helpful. She also helped coordinate with our amazing photographer. A highlight for me was how I spent the day with our daughter and her court of 14 damas (our daughter's friends who were part of the ceremony) while they got dressed and enjoyed their time chatting and getting their hair and makeup done. I could spend that time with them because I knew exactly what would happen because of Cherie's organization. We had a beautiful time; everyone came together beautifully to create a priceless experience, and the day was perfect.

Cherie did a fabulous job before, during and after our wedding coordinating every detail! I really loved how she made sure me (the mother of the bride), our family, the bride and all of the wedding party enjoyed the wedding without having to worry about the ceremony and reception. Everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding coordinator to make their day extra special.

Cherie was my husband and I's wedding coordinator for our wedding this past May. She was such a delight to work with! We especially appreciated her flexibility to answer our calls and requests for last minute meetings. Cherie and Thad were so helpful guiding our rehearsal and we're equally amazing on our wedding day. They helped us execute the most beautiful day! My husband and I got married at the Pear Grove Barn last April, and Cherie was the most helpful in figuring out how to plan our wedding! Cherie was the coordinator for my daughters wedding this last October in Palm Dessert Ca. She had a list of names for everything and everyone we needed to make this a magical day. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. So, when the bride was having a small meltdown, Cherie kept everyone calm and moving in the right direction. I, as the mother of the bride, could not have been as calm as I was if it weren’t for Cherie and her team. All of our guests said it was the best wedding they’ve been to and we couldn’t have pulled it off without her. I would recommend her to all the future brides.

Cherie was very helpful in guiding me in all of the planning for my wedding. The wedding venue required a day of coordinator but Cherie was much more than that. She was always available to talk via text and email and was quick to answer questions I had that came up along the way.

Our wedding was exactly what we wanted and more and we have Cherie to thank for that. She made the process as easy as it could be. As a bride I felt really listened to and she was really great at giving suggestions and options of the possibilities of what could be done. The day of the wedding she made the day go seamless following the timeline we had set up. From the big stuff to the minute details like having a cold towel for me because it was hot and making sure I had water and serving me(the bride) and groom dinner first before the rest of the guests. Cherie was amazing from start to finish!! If I can recommend anything as a new bride, hire a wedding planner! Cherie was professional and thorough with what needed to get done! I was suppose to get married in 2020, but as well all know that didn't happen. She reached out to all the venders and held communication in a time were I was not able to be present or want to be. I was pretty depressed after news of my wedding was postponed a whole year the week of the wedding. She would call and check in on me, as a human and just listen. She was so sweet and I honestly don't know what I would have done without her! Day of the wedding was BLISS! Again, thanks to Cherie. She handled everything! The best decision we made when we decided to get married was hiring Cherie. Saying she went above and beyond is an understatement. My wedding would not have happened during COVID, many times over had she not been so solution oriented. I am so thankful for her. She is the most patient person and was also an incredible professional. She has great advice and also has a great aesthetic. When it came to planning she knew all of the items we needed, and walked us through everything we needed. She also had a great list of preferred vendors. For those vendors we did not have, she helped us research, vet and get quotes. She easily saved me over 100 hours of work, especially considering our venue changed multiple times due to new regulations coming out every week. She helped us plan our wedding during COVID and the loss of a parent just before our wedding. She was solution oriented for making sure everyone was safe, but also made sure that our wedding went on. We left our wedding fully enjoying the entire weekend and adoring every aspect of working with Cherie.

We could not have asked for a better coordinator for our wedding. I loved working with Cherie and even want to continue a friendship with her now! She was calm, knowledgeable, helpful, attentive, - seriously EVERYTHING. Could not recommend highly enough.

Cherie was connected to us through our venue and she did a great job on providing us with ideas of what to do with the space. She was relatable and understanding during the wedding planning process. She made sure we could focus on the big items as she cared for the details and the little things you might miss when planning a wedding. Jenni was our day of coordinator and did a wonderful job making the day go smoothly. They were both kind, friendly, and professional. Please do yourself a favor and book Cherie! From the moment I contacted her she was quick to respond and took the time to listen to everything I wanted for my wedding. I looked up most of my vendors for myself since I was going to have a more non-conventional wedding, but she made sure the week of she knew everyone’s contact information and that everything was in place and helped me along the way when I got stuck. She was there for my wedding rehearsal until late even though she had a family commitment. The day of my wedding, she was organized, made sure everything was taken care of so I didn’t have to lift a finger. Our bridal party forgot our flowers when we went to take pictures much to my dismay, and she so graciously drove to our picture location and delivered all our flowers to us. My family was skeptical about hiring a wedding planner, but they completely changed their minds at the end of my wedding day and said it was single best thing I could have done for my wedding. Thank you Cherie and team for making my special day stress-free and memorable!

Cherie was amazing! My venue required a day of coordinator, and at the time my husband and I were kind of upset we had to pay for yet another vendor. But, after meeting with Cherie, I knew she was likely the best investment we'd made. We chose Cherie's 'day of coordinating package', and she immediately set up a time to meet with me (months before the wedding). She drove all the way down to San Diego to meet me for coffee and discuss the wedding. I had NO idea what I was doing, and Cherie helped me organize my thoughts and asked me about so many things I hadn't even considered. She was there for me a number of times throughout the wedding planning process, and was certainly a calming presence through my panic moments. (eek!) She took the stress out of my hands and helped navigate some difficult logistics between our venue and other vendors. On the day of, Cherie and her assistant set up all our decorations, helped everything move smoothly along and helped my vision come to life. I'm sure many things did not go as planned, but my husband and I will never know because Cherie worked tirelessly behind the scenes to be sure everything was perfect!

Cherie not only showed interest in our wedding vision but in our personal lives as well. She is one of the most personable individuals I have ever encountered. I am not the most decisive individual and when I gave her the smallest bit of information of what I thought I wanted, she was able to present ideas I never would have thought of. We cannot express adequately the gratitude we have for Cherie Riley Weddings. From the first phone call, I knew this was the wedding planner for us. While all of our family and friends were well intended in saying they would handle everything, what we wanted most was the people we loved be able to be "just" guests at our wedding and present in our special day rather than focused on which vendor was doing or delivering what. We had a very complex wedding holding three separate events, one in Europe, one in Chicago and one in California. Each with a different theme. Cherie and team made our event in California a wonderful grand finale as everything was exactly as we would have hoped, a day filled with the people we love, present with us and everyone in the wedding party enjoying the moment. She focused on all of the details, managed the vendors effortlessly and if there was any stress, we didn't know it, because she handled everything with grace. My husband commented after the ceremony how wonderful everything went and I attribute this to Cherie and also the vendors she recommended and works with. I thought her approach to getting to know us as a couple was truly lovely and I enjoyed all of our time together. While hiring a wedding planner might seem like a luxury, this is a once in a lifetime day-it goes by so quickly-you owe it to yourself for the months and perhaps even years to plan this day. Enjoy it to the fullest! We are so thankful to have worked with Cherie and would recommend her to anyone even considering a wedding planner!

My wife and I had a completely unique wedding that I have not seen be done before. Without the knowledge Cherie has and her willingness to take on something different we would have been completely lost. Especially because it was the both of our first weddings, and there are soooo many details you don't know about by just attending weddings. She helped with planning out the wedding dress alterer, itinerary, seating, food, dj, setup, tear down, and most importantly, the worry free, stress free, and flawless day of. I would never have done it any different and would recommend her to anybody I know who is getting married.

When I met with Cherie I was unprepared for my wedding. Cherie met with me and listened to all of my ideas for what I wanted my wedding to be. I felt like I was in good hands and everything was take care of. She was always easy to get ahold of and answered any questions I had. Cherie did an AMAZING job with our wedding. We were so blessed to have her! She did an amazing job of putting all of my ideas and dreams together before hand in meetings. She handled and dealt with any gaps that I had with vendors, and communicated often with me to check in with how details were coming along, and how I was doing in the days leading up. The day of went as smoothly as it possibly could've. Everything was handled professionally, and if there was any hiccups, I had no clue about them. I couldn't have had a more relaxed and perfect day. Cherie was amazing and we highly recommend her services and opinion. My mother was dying of stage four cancer and was put on hospice. We had planned our wedding for July 2017, but had to have it moved up to May 2017, to make sure my mom could see us get married. Cherie helped contact vendors about the change of date and get their availability. She helped with decorations and arrangements for family. She made sure a staff member was always available to my mom so she didn’t to have to walk anywhere. She pulled everything together perfectly, and we are so thankful for her. I’m so honored my mom was able to make it till my wedding and I am so thankful Cherie helped make that happen.

Cherie was a great asset in planning my wedding last November. She is warm, professional, and creative. During the planning process, I never felt pressured or overwhelmed while talking with her. She was very flexible and worked with me to create a custom-plan that included all the details I wanted and needed for my big day and offered extremely fair prices. She also offered lots of helpful resources and ideas, including checklists and vendor and décor recommendations. When my timelines came to a crunch in the last week and I was worried that I’d be without flowers, she pulled through with a team to make beautiful flower arrangements for the bridal party and myself. Her team also did a wonderful job setting up our decorations for our ceremony and reception, everything looked LOVELY! During our reception, Cherie did a great job in making sure my husband and I were fed, wined, and comfortable (so important after a long day of getting ready and excited nerves!), that our vendors were paid, and our guests were happy. It was very cold, so when our coffee cups ran out, Cherie’s team made a run to get more before anyone could notice. At the end of the day, Cherie and her team also helped us tear down everything, making for a stress-free evening. My husband and I are so grateful we made the decision to work with her. Cherie is the best wedding planer out there. She answered all my questions right away, and knew the right things to say. She was with me for over a year, and I had no complaints. She answered all my emails, txt, and calls right away. She is also very well priced, for so much work that she puts in her clients. Oh and her smile is just everything :-) She knows a lot of vendors, and that is extremly helpfull. The day of the wedding nothing went wrong thanks to her. She had a timeline and everything organized. I highly recommend her, she is deff a must have in your team!

There isn’t enough kind words to say about Cherie! Soon after Andrew and got engaged i was ignorant to the amount of planning that goes into a wedding. She made sure i had everything! From my timeline to the amount of ice that was needed for 200 guest (more than you would think!). She kept everyone on track and diffused any issues we had without stressing us out. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Everyone falls in love with her! Without her help I’m sure i would have been a nervous wreck

Cherie was an excellent asset to my wedding planning! I put her under tight deadlines with less than 4 months to plan an elaborate wedding at my parents ranch and it came out beautiful! If something went wrong that day I did not hear about it or it didn't happen. Cherie is so sweet, and put up with my bridezilla attitude. Everything ran smoothly and came together exactly how I wanted it. Cherie helped my parents to make sure all the contracts and details were good to go, even after my parents switched things multiple times. She even had the perfect horse and carriage for me to make my grand debut at the ceremony! I couldn't have asked for more.

Cherie was the absolute best coordinator for our wedding! We got Married on May 14th, on Mother's Day, in the Mountains and it was freezing cold. Cherie took the time to get to know me and my husband and made sure that every single detail was right on our wedding day. She literally had everything covered. She kept all of our vendors in check, reviewed our Vendor contracts to make sure that we dod not miss any important details and so much more. We had several meetings with her before our wedding and she was always happy to meet us, and even traveled over an hour just for a meeting! Cherie was so sweet and personable and you can tell that she loves what she does. On the day of our wedding I had a few people that I had asked to come and help set up the decorations for our wedding, and with some miscommunication, no one showed up. Cherie and her assistant literally did everything! It was the perfect wedding day, and we couldn't have done it without Cherie. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!

And I was right! I can’t thank Cherie enough for making our day so stressed free and absolutely our best day ever!

I found Cherie here on The Knot and was drawn to her because of how warm, and family focused she sounded through her website! I loved that she planned her own daughter’s wedding among many others. Cherie was very sweet to set up a phone call to get to know me and we talked for over an hour where I asked her A TON of questions! Being a bride that didn’t know exactly what I wanted from the start, Cherie provided me a lot of guidance from the start (like I said, even just in our consultation phone call!). I ended up hiring Cherie as my day of planner right after that! I had a couple more phone calls with her that spanned over the 8 months leading up to my wedding. She was detail oriented, encouraging and helped with making sure I completed everything off my checklist. My bridesmaids and I made almost 100% of the decor (including the florals, ceremony arch, wall decor, dessert table, welcome table, escort cards and table, sweetheart table and table centerpieces) and Cherie and her assistant set up all of our decor the day of the wedding. They had about 4 hours and did NOT stop working - my family was so impressed and could tell that they had transformed the venue into what my vision was! What I loved is that I simply shared with Cherie the general idea of what I wanted everything to look like, and she blew me away with how she brought her own expertise and design skills into making everything look amazing! I also loved that Cherie did wonderful things like pray for us before our rehearsal, was very sweet to my anxious parents, worked with all of our vendors seamlessly and made it a really special day for us!
