Cherrywood String Ensembles is the perfect match for your wedding day celebration, adding a touch of beauty and elegance to your special day. We offer a variety of instrumental ensembles and carry a large repertoire for your selection. We offer string quartets, string trios, string duets, string solos with Brass Ensembles, Woodwind Ensembles, and Piano, Organ, Voice, Guitar, Harp solos and percussion. Our repertoire contains over 1500 selections, including classical, broadway, pop, jazz, movie, rock, and more. If there is a selection we currently do not have, we will find it and arrange it for you. We have an arranger on staff. Our musicians are the top musicians in central and southeastern PA, performing with local symphonies and holding degrees from prestigious music schools. We also offer electric instruments and amplification. We have performed at over 1000 events to great success from Musikfest in Bethlehem to weddings to corporate events. As an annual weddingwire and Knot winner, we provide fantastic quality service prior to and during the event. A 2003 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Mishler graduated with highest honors and a B.S. in Music Education and a Cello Performance certificate, while studying with Kim Cook. Mr. Mishler holds a M.M. degree from Northwestern University, where he studied with Paula Kosower, James Kjelland, Robert Hasty, Victor Yampolsky, and Jon Pegis, with an emphasis in Cello Performance and String Pedagogy. Mr. Mishler has also studied with reknown cellist Yumi Kendall, of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

From the very beginning, communication was clear and immediate. That is a good sign! The night before the wedding, my daughter (the Bride) ended up in the ER from 3AM - 6AM. She and her fiancé had a "the show must go on" determination and spirit...but her physical problems caused us to be an hour behind schedule. The String Quartet played extra time, were as kind and understanding as could be, and were simply amazing. My sixteen year old son kept saying how incredible they were. I really can't thank them enough for their professionalism, patience, and their quality. Their price was significantly more reasonable than other Quartets but their expertise was off the charts. Cherrywood provided beautiful music with a string quartet during our ceremony and cocktail hour. My main regret is that due to pictures and bustling my dress, I missed so much of cocktail hour and their performance! We made the last 10 minutes of cocktail hour, and I had my new husband grab us some hors d'oeuvres and we parked ourselves by the musicians to hear the rest of their set. They were incredible, and we have gotten countless compliments about them!

Very disappointed in the level of customer service and communication leading up to the day. Communication was terrible. We tried to schedule an on-site meeting so that they could see the venue and know where they would be sitting, etc. They could not attend and they did zero research to understand the venue ahead of time. I tried to schedule a phone call a few weeks before our wedding day to go over details and get clarification on finalizing music. Although we scheduled the call, Brian did not answer and did not call me back. I had to email my questions, which received a quick response and not a ton of clarity. Additionally, you should provide your own shade. $1200 for a quartet, you should either print the music out or provide a covering for your iPads, that should not be my responsibility if you are accepting outdoor weddings. Finally, the one thing I emphasized (and Brian confirmed that he understood) was that the song that I walked down the aisle to was not to start until I was visibly standing at the end of the aisle with my Dad. By the time I got to the end of the aisle, the intro to the song was over and they were already well into it. Overall, not pleased with the level of service we received vs. the money that we paid.

I mentioned to you, unfortunately we were not able to attend the vendor meeting as we had another job at the time of the meeting. We did respond to answer all of your questions following the meeting. We would have been happy to further discuss if you had additional questions. Regarding the shade, as the contract states, due to the value of the instruments and the ipads not overheating, we do ask to be in the shade, which is standard for all performing ensembles with string instruments. Regarding the timing with you getting out of the horse drawn carriage, we felt we provided the timing you requested.

My now husband and I found Brian (owner) and his Cherrywood team for our October 2022 wedding on theknot app. The entire process with Brian was smooth and easy. I never got to meet with Brian and in fact only talked to him once on the phone. I researched on the site a good bit, which was wonderful to navigate. I knew mostly what I wanted. The contract and terms/ deposits were spelled out clearly. The trio showed up on our wedding day just as planned, professionally dressed and sounded amazing. My only regret is not tracking down who might have caught the performance on video. I would highly recommend Brian and the other artists. They helped make my day more beautiful and peaceful.

I would have loved to give them a higher rating but I had more cons than pros: Cons: 1. Our wedding was at the Farm at Eagles Ridge and they played from above the stairs and the ceremony took place near the pond. You could barely hear them. 2. The speaker system that Brian provided for the officiant did not work so no one heard our ceremony unless they were sitting in the front two rows. We even had our ceremony for zoom and no one heard it. It was just disappointing. 3. We had to pause to wait for the quartet when the ceremony was over to walk down the aisle. It felt like an eternity just standing waiting and our guest just staring. I think they could have better transition. Pros: When the wedding was over and we were up the stairs for a brief period, they sounded really good.

In 2019, we booked Cherrywood for our May 2020 wedding. We were one of the COVID couples and when we went to postpone to the following May, Brian was so wonderful to work with and accommodating. They were luckily still available on our rescheduled date and were so flexible and affordable. I grew up in a very musical family. My father is a professional symphony conductor, my brother is a professional percussionist, and I grew up studying classical piano, so quality musicians were extremely important to me for the ceremony. Brian and his team were absolutely amazing. I was truly in awe listening to them during our wedding ceremony and I cannot wait to see the video, hear the music again and relive the moment. Brian and the rest of the Cherrywood string ensemble did an absolutely FANTASTIC job at our wedding. We hired them as a string quartet to play at our wedding ceremony at a church in downtown York, PA. It still brings me to tears to think about how beautiful it was, having them playing really made it what I dreamed it would be. Brian made the stressful wedding planning process pretty painless as well. It was easy to communicate all of the details, including the songs that I wanted them to play and when. Brian took all of that information and made everything happen without additional followups or things needed from me. They made it extremely seamless, all I had to do on my wedding day was show up and listen to them play. They worked really well with the church music director as well. Between the two of them we had string music or organ music playing throughout the ceremony, it was beautiful. If you're looking for musicians with a lot of experience and a wide range of music selections for your big day, I would highly recommend Cherrywood String Ensembles. They killed it.

Shout out to Brian and Cherrywood String Quartet for the excellent job they did playing at our daughter’s September wedding. They played for the wedding ceremony as well as the cocktail hour. They have a wide variety of music to choose from. Along with the traditional wedding ceremony music, at the cocktail hour they also played Beatles music and the Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen...that really impressed the crowd. I found Brian very easy to work with. He responded to emails and phone calls quickly. The price quoted for the service we had was reasonable. Thank you for everything.

Cherrywood String Ensembles performed at my ceremony and cocktail reception 2 weeks ago and did a phenomenal job (guests were raving about their music). I highly recommend them - Brian was very responsive and helpful in the months leading up to my wedding. They have an large music selection to choose from - the classics, pop (Ed Sheeran, John Legend, etc.), and religious music. I am so incredibly happy at their awesome performance at my wedding!!

LOOK NO FURTHER! CHERRYWOOD STRINGS IS THE BEST CHOICE FOR YOUR STRING EVENT! Brian at Cherrywood Strings was an absolute pleasure to work with. He always was prompt in returning my calls and I could tell he cared about my business and my event. I was unsure how strings would sound at my wedding as I have never hired a strings trio/quartet before. Brian was extremely confident and assured me not to worry because this is what he does and they will adjust the songs to my timing of my Long wedding walk through our field and throughout our ceremony. EVERYONE at our event complimented how wonderful the strings sounded and I agreed. I am not a big fan of classical music so I chose all pop songs and the guests really enjoyed the music choice for our outside late spring wedding. I HIGHLY reccommend Cherrywood strings and their price point was affordable. I would not hesitate to call Brian again for another event for myself. Thank you Cherrywood Strings!
