Cheryl Hamilton Porter Floriculturist was recommended to me by my good friends and owners of the Forest House Lodge and I am so glad that I took their recommendation. I didn't give Cheryl very specific instructions because she totally understood my vision and what I was going for. It is so refreshing in this industry when you connect with a vendor who totally "gets you," and can make your vision a reality. I didn't want roses, I didn't want all my centerpieces and bouquets to be the same, I didn't want symmetry and I didn't want cookie cutter designs that you've seen 50 times at other weddings. I showed Cheryl several ideas, provided her my color palette and described the vibe I was going for in general with our wedding and she took it from there! What she came up with was stunning. Succulents, cabbage roses, hydrangeas, peonies and a lot of fun greenery mixed in to add texture and vibrancy! Cheryl's arrangements were stunning. She used different heights and sizes of vases for each arrangement throughout the room and the different arrangements added interest yet everything coordinated uniquely and perfectly. I didn't know where to look first! I was so thrilled and excited! Her arrangements were beyond gorgeous and I couldn't wait to share with my guests! I did very little decor other than my flowers and I am so glad I trusted my instincts on this and let Cheryl take the reigns because my flowers perfectly accentuated the venue without overwhelming its already breathtaking views. Cherly also potted 140 mini succulents into mini pots for my wedding favors; a task for which I will forever be indebted to her for! Cheryl purchases her flowers fresh for each wedding from the SF flower markets and they easily withstood the heat and humidity of the day and lasted for 8-10 days following our wedding! I highly recommend Cheryl if you are looking for a unique and personalized look for your wedding flowers from an experienced and detailed florist.

My wedding flowers could not have been more perfect. I gave Cheryl simply and idea of what I was looking for and what she came up with was magical. She was able to work within my budget, and the product was flawless. I would highly recommend her if needing flowers for any event.

I contacted Cheryl at the recommendation of my wedding venue. She met me at the venue so that I didn't have to come for a separate meeting. I showed her pictures of what I liked, gave her my target (relatively unrealistic) budget and to my amazement, she made it work (within a few hundred $). Also, because she works with the venue all the time, she made use of their existing decor items so I wasn't charged for the shepard's hooks, mason jars or wood centerpieces that made the day. She even set up the escort cards (which tell people what table to sit at) in a handsome presentation that complemented my rustic theme. I would definitely recommend Cheryl, esp. if you happen to be getting married at Forest House Lodge.
