The Lofton's have been a part of the wedding industry since 1939, specializing in alterations and custom made pieces for the entire wedding party. Lofton. Mr. J.C. Lofton was the first African American to have a tailoring school in conjunction with a thriving business in downtown Washington DC. His reputation endures as the standard by which Cheryl A. Lofton & Associates service their clients to this day: Quality, Integerity, and Community. Services Offered We offer full-service tailoring as well as customization, repairs, and even custom suiting. Our specialists have decades of experience with both traditional gowns, couture pieces, suiting, bridemaids dresses, vintage pieces, and custom designs. We have hundreds of fabrics to choose from for custom suiting and shirting as well. There is little that we cannot do.
