picky guest who would’ve said nothing if the food wasn’t great, but went out of their way to tell me how awesome it was. The best wedding food they’ve had was actually most of their commentary. I am a super type A planner. So the other reviews that reference communication being light until a few months before are true. Candidly I did have moments where my brain needed to feel like we were planning and communicating BUT my only piece of advice is trust the process. This is a group of professionals that will not let you down on your wedding day itself. Erin and her team catered to everything we needed and it was amazing magical night for not only us but all of our guests. Special shoutout to Tyra as well! Coordinating rooms and all of her communication pre wedding was beyond appreciated and she made the travel part easy for us and our guests!

utherford was our Venue Coordinator and she was responsive, extremely helpful, and all around wonderful. The staff for the wedding day did everything seamlessly and flawlessly. The food was spectacular (we got so many rave reviews for the filet mignon, and the tater to bar was to die for!) and so many options to choose from (Samantha was also great with catering to people with food allergies and dietary restrictions). The venue location was also amazing -- watching the sunset with our friends and family was a memory that we will never forget. We would give 10/10 stars to CBBC if we could!

things to say about them.  Samantha was our day-of coordinator and she was instrumental in assuring our day was even better than we could have even imagined.  She was an absolute joy to work with.  From the time we signed our contract to reserve our wedding date, every staff member we encountered was nothing short of amazing.  Our questions were always answered in a very timely manner.  Tyra and the hotel staff checked in with us along the way to assure all members of our wedding party, parents, and ourselves had lodging secured on site.  The food was absolutely amazing (delicious crab cakes for this Maryland native).  I was a typical bride and was worried about eating too much on my wedding day, so I only ate a few bites of my dinner.  The staff packed up the rest of my meal for me to enjoy after the wedding, so I would not miss out on my own dinner!  I cannot tell you how much I appreciated the little details like this.  We stayed on site at the hotel, where we were also greeted with amazing and friendly service.  We arrived early and our room was not quite ready yet, but the staff unloaded my wedding dress and had it hanging in my suite ready for me by the time the room was available.  After we were married, we arrived at our room and there was a gorgeous bouquet and congratulatory note from all the staff at the Beach Club.  We also received a note sent to our home after our wedding, thanking us for booking with the Beach Club.  The day of my wedding, everyone kept commenting on how I was the "happiest bride" they have ever seen.  This is absolutely because of the amazing service of the Beach Club--I had no stress whatsoever because I knew the Beach Club was taking care of everything we needed and assuring the day went smoothly.  Again, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Beach Club.  I would highly recommend them for your wedding venue, and we will absolutely be returning here for our anniversaries, special dinners, and getaways in the future! We had our ceremony and reception at the Inn Ballroom (at the hotel, not the waterfront) and it was wonderful and intimate. Would recommend if you are looking to have a wedding for around 75 guests. The Beach Club also owns the Libbey's restaurant and if you book the Inn Ballroom, they will shuttle you to Libbey's waterfront so you can still get waterfront wedding photos, if you are looking for that!

g from California, I especially loved that they offered so many services on site (catering, coordinator, hair & makeup, hotel for me and my guests, etc) All of my wedding guests said my wedding was the BEST EVER and I owe sooo much of that to CBBC and the amazing staff. I was lucky enough to work with Teresa as my coordinator and she was so helpful from the very beginning. My husband and I live in Los Angeles but planning from out of town was a breeze thanks to CBBC. Teresa was so quick to answer any questions I had about the venue. My husband and I truly had so much fun at our group tasting. We felt like we really got to know the space before the big day and act like guests at our own wedding! Trying all the amazing food and drinks and meeting the staff and other couples was a blast. I love how they set up the tables with different centerpieces so I could visualize my own decor. Our actual wedding weekend ran so smoothly and I have Teresa and Marta to thank for that. These ladies worked over time to keep our guests happy, and our event on time without making anything feel too rushed. They took such great care of me, my husband, and my parents. Marta stayed with me leading up to the ceremony holding the train of my dress and even wrapped a blanket around me in between family photos because it was chilly by the water. They greeted us with champagne after our ceremony and a tray of appetizers in the bridal suite so we could catch a breath and some food before joining cocktail hour. I could not recommend CBBC for your wedding enough. This was truly the best day of my life and I will treasure the amazing photos, videos and memories forever.

I highly recommend the tater tot bar and crab cake station for cocktail hour! The entire planning process went very smoothly thanks to our coordinator, Samantha. She was always quick to respond to my emails with random questions and menu changes in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding. She was also super helpful on the day of, even packing up our decor items at the end of the night! It was so convenient staying at The Inn, and I used their salon/spa for hair and make-up for myself, the moms, and bridesmaids. They came to our suite in the barn and they did an amazing job! Just a fair warning that you will EASILY surpass the food & beverage minimum if you want multiple options at cocktail hour, desserts, late night snacks, etc. But it's totally worth it.

f last winter to the night the celebrations ended everything was first class. The grounds where ceremony takes place is magical, the layout of the ballroom was perfect, the food is outstanding and the staff was very courteous and helpful. Very highly rated!

dinator Erin Janes was wonderful (don’t understand the review written about her above ) but they are wrong.She was excellent, extremely attentive to every detail and all of us as well. If I had another daughter I would do it all over again I would with her in charge. The food was to die for and the venue absolutely beautiful! So many compliments but most of all my daughter had the wedding of her dreams! Kudos to all at CBBC!

staff are top notch. Teresa was with us from the start in the process as our personal wedding coordinator. She made all of our dreams come true. First off the venue itself is worth it, because it’s GORGEOUS. We knew we didn’t need many decorations because it speaks for itself in beauty. Once you secure your date, you will be scheduled for a group tasting with 100-200 people. We went In January and it was basically like attending a pre-wedding. They had open bar, happy hour, sit down dinner. Showing all the different options you can have for your wedding. We had the absolute BEST time. The food was AMAZING. We walked out of there so so excited to do it all over again but with our friends and family. The filet minion and crab cake was SOO good! We honestly were not positive how they could have medium rare steaks and crab cakes that taste good for all these people. The day of our wedding the food was even better!!! Many people came up to us saying that the cocktail hour food was amazing, they were so full that they weren’t sure how to eat dinner! Then after dinner we had a ton of guest tell us that they have been to 40+ weddings and ours had the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Around 8:15pm we were able to have sunset photos!! The venue knows how amazing the sunset is, so they paused our dinner so everyone could go out and take a bunch of photos. It was a huge highlight. They have a large strip of sand and beach so the photos come out sooo stunning. Once I came up from the beach photos, Teresa comes over with a towel to wipe my feet off. WHO does that?? CBBC If you are reading this, please give her a raise lol. During the ceremony, you can also hear the waves crashing on the shore. Absolutely peaceful and made it even more special. My husband and I walked away just in absolute awe. There was nothing I would have changed about the day. It was perfect. The venue has everything down to a science and really make you feel like a celebrity for a day. I have so much respect and happiness for this venue. Please don’t hesitate to book this venue. Also please don’t hesitate to invite me to your wedding, because I would Love to go back!!! 😃😃

notch. All of our pre wedding questions were answered quickly. Guests commented that it was the best wedding food that they had ever experienced. Nothing during the wedding ceremony and reception fell through the cracks. Servers, bartenders, parking staff were all attentive and did a great job. Erin and Marte, our coordinators, did an outstanding job running the show in the background. On the negative side, 6 months before the wedding, we were informed of a price hike for the food. I was taken back since we obviously had a contract. In a very small phrase, it did mention that they could hike the prices, but I still felt that they should not have changed all of the previously booked contracts going forward. Also, in order to offer 2 menu choices, you to add an extra $5 per meal. That adds up considering the prices are already very high. On the flip side, the food was outstanding. Also, if you choose a champagne toast, they add $7 per person, minors or not, even though you already have an unlimited bar. Lastly, like many other venues, they add an automatic 21% gratuity/service charge to the bill. Since we also received a tipping guide, which included the option of tipping CBBC personnel, I was a bit taken back considering the amount of the gratuity/service charge that we had just paid. Together with the Inn, CBBC did an outstanding job with the coordination and execution of the wedding. It was a marvelous day and we would highly recommend them.

The entire team was extremely attentive, helpful, and flexible on all our questions and customizations, and made the day completely stress-free and perfect!

nearby was very convenient, but there wasn't enough room for all the guests. The spa at the inn did all our hair and makeup which looked fantastic. The beach club has weddings down to a science. Our day of coordinator, Jessica, was fantastic! When you go out on the beach to take sunset pictures and someone wipes the sand off your feet you know they are well equipped for weddings. We also didn't need a separate baker for our cake because the CBBC had smith island cake and an assortment of desserts. To top off the night the staff stood at the exit to help make sure guests got their party favors as they departed. Having an all-inclusive venue was key to our successful wedding since at the time we didn't live in Maryland. The CBBC is a well-oiled machine with weddings and if you have your wedding here you'll be in great hands.

These sessions made our big day run all that smoother. One of our fondest memories was actually the menu tasting event! Guests from our wedding, to this day, still make note of how tremendous our ceremony and reception were. Delicious food/cocktails + breathtaking views + dedicated staff equates to the best wedding venue out there! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. I know we'll be back to visit soon!

phere. We only had about 6 months to re-plan everything, and it was the most seamless 6 months we could have asked for. Our planner was Samantha and she was incredible! From my endless questions to a quicker timeline, she handled everything with grace, flexibility and professionalism. She felt like a friend more than a vendor. All of my guests commented on how much they loved staying at the Barn at the Inn and how beautiful everything was, and the guests who didn't stay were bummed they didn't. The food was fantastic as well. Unfortunately we didn't get to experience everything the venue has to offer due to wedding chaos, but our guests enjoyed Knoxie's grill and the dipping pools and bikes for rent. The actual wedding day was seamless thanks to Samantha and team. The timeline felt natural and there really were no hiccups. My husband and I were catered to and our guests were extremely happy. We got married at the Inn and although the Beach Club is more popular due to being by the water, I would have to say that being steps away from our room was so worth it as well as having our own tented, cozy dance floor outside of the reception space. We got our hair and makeup done from the Spa onsite and they were incredible as well - we even got to get ready in our rooms! The fireplaces outside were a good hang out spot for us for the night before as well. I could go on and on about the venue and its staff - thank you again to Samantha and the whole team at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club for making our day perfect. We will definitely be back for an anniversary!

, my day of coordorinator, Samantha was wonderful. She was friendly, positive, and responsive. It was clear to my husband and I that CBBC has everything well organized and planned. Unfortunately our ceremony ended up postponed due to Covid restrictions, and over that time Samantha was out on leave. Although it was a time of great uncertainty for all, CBBC lacked communication and demanded we reduce our guest count to meet State restrictions and have the wedding on 8.29 or pay $$$ to postpone. Considering our wedding was nearly paid at that point, this decision made by CBBC broke our hearts and spirits. In the end, after much heartache and debate, we decided to postpone. We finally had our ceremony on 9.10.21. As promised, on 9.10 everything went perfectly. The venue was gorgeous, the day of staff went above and beyond, and we could not have been happier with that day. The Inn on site was also wonderful. The staff really went out of their way to make sure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Overall I would recommend this venue for the beautiful space and wonderful day of staff.

tifully laid back, airy boathouse tavern where our guests were able to snuggle up in booths around a timeless oak bar as the bay breeze came in from the wide-open windows. We also felt that the simple elegance of the ballroom with its few dark wooden rafters, the grand fireplace were going to create this warm romantic glowing ambiance that was going to perfectly fit the vibe for our early spring wedding. The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club made some impressive changes to their facilities to make them COVID safe and just better in general. They modernized their air systems to include an air purifier that pulls fresh air from the outside instead of recycling it. They also use a food and beverage safe sanitizer to sanitize every space throughout the different spaces of the event as they were not being used. These among other protocols helped to ease many of our worries leading up to the wedding as we all waited and hoped for the opportunity to be vaccinated. After a tour with my parents in March to show them these new protocols we met Samantha and we were blown away by her attention to detail so when we were able to have Samantha as our Wedding Coordinator all my wedding anxieties were instantly eased. I knew I could trust Samantha to handle the tiny details on the day of the wedding without needing me to tell her what to do. Samantha was always on the ball and knew all the intricacies of our details without hesitation. She made the rehearsal and wedding day a flawless experience even when everyone arrived way ahead of schedule (the one Saturday that there wasn’t bay bridge traffic). I never had to worry about a single thing all day and the whole CBBC team helped to make this day utterly magical. The food at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club was without a doubt the best wedding/catering food I have ever had and all of our guests agreed. I appreciated that they make as many dishes as they can gluten-free which is often a stressful part of menu planning when you have people with various allergies. Every passing appetizer during the cocktail hour was better than the next and I loved how each appetizer was on its own plate. It made for cleaner eating for all guests. The other crowd favorite was the tater tot bar with the Maryland crab dip which people are still gushing over. For dinner, we gave guests the filet mignon and crab cake with the potato gratin cupcake and fresh spring vegetables. It was utterly delicious and was the perfect Maryland surf and turf combo. We didn’t have the ability to ask guest preferences (fish, chicken, beef, etc) so this was our easiest option for last-minute flexibility for different dietary needs. For dessert, we brought in our own cupcakes but added chocolate-covered strawberries, cannolis, and gelato to create a mini dessert buffet which was a great hit and helped people to enjoy the party and dancing more than being stuck at a table for dessert. The bartenders were fantastic with a steady pour, great cocktails, and a fantastic selection. From start to finish the service and staff at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club were kind, helpful and so professional to all our guests. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding even as a COVID bride.

itudes of the staff were unacceptable, especially considering the sum of money I paid to use this venue. My wedding has a great number of details — and we were very specific with directions. We had a candy bar and popcorn bar ... both of which , I called in advance to request permission to have. My mother delivered all jars, all candy, individually wrapped and separated into large plastic bags, with labels, so all that would need to be done was dump candy into the jars & place on the table. When my mother went by to check on things, all the popcorn jars had been filled with candy ... and all the candy had been mixed together... it’s looked horrible & was not the directions they were given My mother mentioned this to Samantha & that this needed to be fixed. Her response was “You have a lot of stuff. You are lucky you are even having your reception here.” EXCUSE ME? 1) every item we brought had been cleared with Samantha prior to arrival. She should not have been surprised. If it was “too much” she should not have agreed to each request. 2) Unless the government of Maryland shut down the venue (which at that point, had not occurred), if they canceled my event, they would have been in violation of my contract. It’s not “lucky” they held my wedding — it was what was required per a legally binding contract. They weren’t doing me a favor. I paid them thousands and thousands of dollars for good and services. They simply executed a contract. My aunts fixed all the errors the beach club staff made (including sorting all the candy they had mixed together) ... they did a good portion of the decorating bc it was clear the beach club couldn’t be trusted. My reception was beautiful, despite the venue staff, not because of them. While the venue is pretty, I’d take my money elsewhere, If I had to do it again. Lack of communication during the entire planning process, rude staff & bad food is the price you pay for a beautiful view. Probably not worth it.

It wasn’t until my mother reached out to them multiple times that we received any answers to our questions despite the fact that they required a 60% deposit if we want to keep our date. At one point they told us we were 100% able to move forward with our wedding but 5 days later and 2 months before our wedding they cancelled on us only, one of the three weddings scheduled for our date. They sold us on something they knew could not make work in attempts to force us to reschedule or postpone. We felt manipulated by them and had they only been transparent with what was going on I would not have posted this review.

last minute, so beware! Second, it was like pulling teeth to get answers for simple questions throughout the wedding planning process. I would send emails with a list of questions, maybe 2 of 5 would get answered and of those 2 answers, it would be the most vague answer. We booked the tavern and we were basically sworn that the 3 weddings never cross each other. I had random guests from other weddings, walking through our venue, waiting right next to me when I was about to walk down the aisle, walking through our ceremony area when we were taking pictures. When it came to do our first look, our coordinator was no where to be found and showed up late once found. Seating arrangements were a complete mess and all of our items we brought in ahead of time were thrown in boxes and passed off to our guests to take home at the end of the night. Not to mention they threw out/lost precious personal items as well. Lastly, didn't know this till it happened to us, but they threatened us if we didn't overnight the last check that they couldn't ensure that we would have the best day. To say the lease, the coordinators and staff made the planning process not enjoyable at all. I used to be an events coordinator and never would I treat our customers they way that they treated me.

We got married the weekend Hurricane Dorian hit the eastern shore and I was more than a stressed-out Bride who planned to get married outside. Fast forward and the wind and rain didn't allow us to use The Tavern lawn but the CBBC team didn't miss a beat. We were graciously allowed to use the Sunset Ballroom Rooftop Deck and I almost started crying seeing how pretty the space was and knowing that they were going out of their way on our day to still make everything amazing despite the weather. Our guests wouldn't stop complimenting the food and the wide variety of drinks along with the level of service. I feel like we paid a reasonable price and got an exceptional outcome. CBBC is worth every penny knowing that this team executes and provides a dream wedding day.

She was always available to speak and helped us organize our vision into the perfect wedding day. We had a large wedding, and she had plenty ideas on how to best organize the flow and our vendors. The food was delicious. Our guests can’t stop talking about it! Stop thinking about it and book CBBC for your wedding, you won’t regret it!
