The staff and food were amazing. They made sure everything went smoothly once the staff arrived and took care of all the guests. They provided gluten and lactose free options and k...
ept all areas of the venue clean. My one critique was that the staff did not know who the bride or groom were prior to the ceremony and so there was some confusion relating to set up and food allergies.
Our coordinator Paula, however, was perfect! She was always on top of everything, never missed a beat, and kept us informed the entire night. We could not have had a successful wedding without her. She was our rock the whole night! I would rate her a 5 out of 5.
Nora and Kelly from Chez Alice were amazing. From day one they were so flexible and responsive. On the day of our wedding the team and food were fabulous. I couldn't be happier wit...
h how everything turned out. I would definitely use Chez Alice for future events.

ree. Amanda....is just superb! She was easy to communicate with and made herself available at al times from the beginning. Amanda's attention to detail and seeing my vision and making it a reality was truly key to the most perfect day!
Loved working with them and Amanda was beyond great!! I can't thank them enough for all the work they put it in. Everyone raved about the food, service, and how well organized eve...
rything went and I have to thank Amanda and Chez Alice! And the cake...fenomenal!!! Beautifully made and delicious!! Thanks again guys!!!
I would give them 1/2 a star if I could. I got married 9/30/17 at Strawberry Hill & used CACC because they are the dedicated county vendor. Almost from onset, we had major issues (...
many of the same posted in previous review by Carol C; we also had Amanda as our coordinator). Communication was slow at best, sometimes WEEKS to get turnaround.
The first food quote they sent was more than 2x the budget we gave them, & the second was a $3000 hot dogs and hamburgers BBQ menu. For our wedding. I found it totally insulting.
They call themselves "full service" but they are NOT event planners. We literally planned every single aspect of our wedding ourselves. We had to go over everything with a magnifying glass to make sure it was right. We had to ask for a food tasting after we picked a menu. We had to ask for a copy of our contract multiple times (finally got it 2.5 weeks before the event). We were down to the wire with a weather plan (forecasted rain and lower temps over a week out and their response was the weather looked fine and it would be ok "as is" - we ended up renting tent sides - thank goodness!!).
They gave us misinformation multiple times: telling us kegs were prohibited, and later telling us they are not "preferred." Told us outdoor heaters were costly and required permits, then later said they were not allowed at all. When asked about donating leftovers, they brushed off the idea, then told me we wouldn't have many, and then informed me that CACC uses client event food to feed their staff, then backtracked and said they'd pack it up for us to take.
The onsite bridal suite was filthy when I arrived to start hair and makeup - dead bugs, trash, an old wine glass full of maggots. No toilet paper or soap in the bathroom. They didn't even bother to do a once-over.
They were unprepared for our event, which was 65 people. Tablecloths arrived stained and wrinkled and they put them out like that; no tie downs for an outdoor event, so my mom had to make some so our stuff didn't blow away. They were understaffed; we brought all our own deco in and were assured it would get put out; it didn't. Again, my mom and cousin did all of the work.
They didn't set any food aside for us, so we barely ate. Some of our "hot" food was lukewarm. Timing was terrible, and multiple times, trays were empty when I tried to get food. They underestimated dessert numbers, and didn't announce dessert, so we didn't get any - at all.
We provided our own beer, wine, and signature cocktail. The cocktail was batched ahead of time and a recipe provided, so the bartender only needed to pour the batch mix and top with wine. He messed it up, and the drink was gross, until my cousin (who created the drink) corrected him multiple times.
I could go on, but you get the picture. The stress level of working with them was incredible; we spent HOURS each week trying to plan and fix their mistakes. The time investment was insane. We have already discouraged several people from using them; if you do, proceed with caution. Follow Carol's advice and get yourself a real wedding planner so they can stay on top of CACC and make sure everything is smooth sailing.
I see that in Kelly's (the owner) response below, she has decided to accuse us of lying, which is not the case. We are not lashing out, but rather trying to ensure others don't have the same experience. We also lodged a formal complaint with the county. The Knot does not allow reviewers to upload pictures, FYI.
During our initial meeting and tasting, we were very impressed with Kelly, the owner of the business. Then, Kelly passed us along to Amanda, our day planner/coordinator. My husband...
and I were perplexed by her behavior and finally realized that she was just very disorganized and incompetent, so we had to check and double-check everything she did ourselves. For example, 2 weeks after discussing it, Amanda forwarded us the alcohol quote. It was for nothing but wine, beer, and Moscow mules. We were so surprised, since we only mentioned Moscow mules in passing, in relation to whether we should rent copper mugs (which she knew that we decided not to...). Then, 2 months after picking out our rentals, our initial rental quote finally came in. Unfortunately, after finalizing our guest count and rental items, we had to send the quote back to her FIVE times because she got something wrong on it every time. We read through the quote line by line each time because we had lost all trust in her. By doing so, we brought the rental quote from $4000 to $3000. My husband sent a detailed excel spreadsheet of exactly who was sitting at which table with a tally of the various entrees at each table. Somehow, Amanda still messed up the counts, and he had to email her the corrections.
One of the most outrageous things that kept happening was that we gave Chez Alice our credit card number for the initial deposit. Amanda, of course, reassured us that she would send us an invoice before she charged us for the remaining balance. Then, one busy day at work, I got a call from my credit card company that someone was attempting to charge thousands of dollars on my card. Turns out, it was Chez Alice. Never was an invoice sent to us. My husband called Kelly to tell her this was an unacceptable practice. She apologized and said it would not happen again. Unfortunately, this exact thing happened with the rental company that Amanda was supposed to be coordinating. We noticed that the last revised invoice from the rental company had a "paid" stamp on it, backdated 2 days from the day we received in.
On the day of our wedding, it rained, but we had a tent. I wanted the backdrop of the ceremony to be the beautiful lake in the back. However, Amanda lined up the groomsmen so that the backdrop of the ceremony was a wall. The bridesmaid that I sent to coordinate the ceremony with Amanda was so perplexed that this happened because she had a face-to-face conversation with Amanda clearly tell her what I wanted. Even after this conversation, Amanda demanded that my husband come out of his prep room to discuss the setup again, holding up the ceremony since all the guests wanted to say hi to him. Then, at the end of the night while we were cleaning up, we were given half of the bottom tier of cake on a cake board to take home. They apparently had no cake box (I wonder how they transported the cake to the venue?). Rather than throw the whole thing away, my mom held it on her lap on the way back to the hotel.
The list goes on and on. If we had trusted Amanda, we would have ended up wasting thousands of dollars on a wedding that only served Moscow mules. Unfortunately, this meant that we spent hours and hours planning our wedding, when neither my husband nor I had the time for.
Bottom Line: Choose Chez Alice for the good food at a reasonable price. Then, coordinate your wedding yourself and bring your own Tupperware for the cake.
I loved using Chez Alice as my wedding catering. They helped make our wedding (and welcome party catering) so perfect! They paid special attention to me and the groom, and my mom ...
was a little sick and they even made her hot tea throughout the day! Great communication throughout the planning process, very accommodating and helpful, and delicious food. I was actually very nervous on our wedding day because the coordinator we had been working with had to miss our event unexpectedly and we had someone else fill in for her, and everything still went great! I would highly recommend Chez Alice to any bride or anyone needing catering service.
We are so thrilled that we decided to go with Chez Alice for our engagement party this September. The food was delicious & everyone was so helpful! Amanda went above and beyond to ...
make sure that everything was perfect leading up to our day and she made sure that our vision was brought to life. She didn't try to up-sell us on anything (unlike other catering companies I had spoken to) and had some great ideas on how to cut costs to stay within a reasonable budget. The onsite staff still had smiles on their faces even though it was unbearably hot outside and one of them cut their finger! We are looking forward to using them again for our wedding! Thanks again Chez Alice team!

ce. We got to taste an incredible assortment of flavors and Chez Alice does such a phenomenal job at creating any cake you can imagine.
Highly recommended for any event.
Chez Alice did a really nice job catering our wedding, The set-up was 3 different stations; because of the venue, it ended up looking like a buffet, but I hope the guests understo...
od. Virtually every single person raved about how good the food was. Since I am part of an older generation, people are more picky about their food. Thus, you know the food was REALLY GOOD!! We had salmon with haricots verts and risotto, vegetarian puttanesca of some sort, and flank steak with caesar salad and roasted c-bliss potatoes. You have to remember to purchase the bread and butter separately, but it is worth it because they give you 4 kinds and it's really great. Their wedding cake is really good and you don't have to spend an extra penny to get a fancier one!!
Picking a caterer was no small decision for us. First, we were planning everything from across the country, and would only be able to meet in-person once before the date, and secon...
d, my husband is severely gluten intolerant, so we needed to be sure he would get through the big day without worrying about the food. After reading reviews, we contacted Chez Alice, and were extremely pleased to find we could create a menu from scratch, and note the need for gluten free options for the two of us, all while keeping a budget in mind.
Jean helped us through the entire process, from picking out rentals to figuring out the final floorplan, and even contacted our other venders (cupcake baker, DJ, etc) to make sure they did not have any questions or specific needs. And when the day finally came, we were blown away with the exceptional waitstaff, and how attentive they were to the needs of all the guests. Particularly for the two of us- bringing hors d'oeurve, drinks, and food to the table, which was the only reason we had time to eat!
