It is conveniently situated near Wilmington and Mount Snow, VT. Every detail of this mansion, barn, and property has been carefully thought out to provide guests with a welcoming retreat. Elegant and refined while still being cozy, the venue offers an ideal backdrop for “I dos.” Chez Nous was renovated by couple John and Cheryl Mincarelli, who lovingly transformed it into its current state. After meeting online, they became friends and took on the restoration project, which also encouraged their love for one another. Originally, it was the home of Mary and Celia Heather, known as the Heather sisters. The sisters purchased the property, which was a dairy farm, in the 1890s, constructing their cottage refuge, known as Chez Nous, on the site. John and Cheryl, after much research, had every detail of the mansion attended to, while building a new 3000 square ft. glam barn, creating a splendid setting for weddings and events. Nuptial celebrations can begin in the mansion, which features 20 rooms. Among these are six very spacious and beautifully decorated, bedrooms and five full bathrooms and can accommodate up to 12 overnight guests. On the main floor, there is a grand kitchen and dining room, as well as plenty of space to socialize with loved ones. The mansion has a covered, wrap-around porch that can seat up to 40 people and is well suited for rehearsal dinners. Outside, couples can choose from multiple spots to exchange their vows, with enough room for tents in case of inclement weather. Between the Heather Brook meandering through the property and the idyllic Vermont landscape, the photo opportunities are plentiful. Receptions may then take place in the four-season barn, which is able to accommodate 150-180 people. With beautiful chandeliers and lighting the barn is spacious and bright and has an additional comfy bonus room upstairs with TV, Foosball table and leather furniture. We allow you to choose your own vendors. We know every couple has their own preference for their food choices and we have compiled a list of caterers for you and we do allow food trucks as well. When you book Chez Nous it will be yours, exclusively. A private 21 acre estate for you, your family and friends to relax and unwind.
