Chic Event Rentals is a professional wedding rental company based in Monterey, CA. Specializing in high-quality event elements in a range of styles, the team proudly enhances the aesthetics of each client's milestone occasions.
The business was founded by seasoned event professional Anthony Karabetyan in 2009. What started in a 3,000 square foot warehouse managed by one person grew quickly into one of the premier event rental companies in Monterey and Santa Cruz County. Today, Chic Event Rentals continues to provide unique, customizable decor that is guaranteed to make your special day one of a kind.
From elegant marquees, romantic arches, and gorgeous backdrops to tables, chairs, catering essentials, and everything in between, you and your beloved are invited to choose from a wide selection of items. We went back and forth on many items as I was trying to find the right collaboration of color scheme and accents and Chic was on top of it at every turn. They were so patient and understanding. I was obsessed with how everything turned out and so happy with it!

er rental companies in the area, so I was willing to make that concession. Their items were definitely high quality and did not have chips in the plates, scratches in the wood, wobbly chairs, etc. so I was very happy with that! They were however difficult to work with leading up to the event. I was passed around to several different sales people before I could even get someone on the phone. Then, I made several changes leading up to the event, which is normal (I work in the industry), and the representative I worked with wasn't super responsive and often made note of just how many changes I had made. It felt like every little thing I asked of them was a huge favor and not just their job... they weren't willing to help make my experience easy and seamless. All in all, I was happy with the quality of products, but not thrilled with their customer service.

Marianne was extremely responsive throughout the whole process, quick to make any changes to our order and extremely easy for our planner to work with in coordinating the drop off and pick up process at the venue. Everything was in great condition and really gave our wedding an extra special touch without us needing to do much at all!

As we were delayed due to the Paradise Fire smoke, pick-up could have been nightmare but the warehouse was easy to find, helpful in loading our car, and accommodating for our late pick-up. When we arrived at Chic for our pick up, I was impressed by the large inventory they maintain on-site.

ipment and set up/take down ourselves. Otherwise we would have paid over $1000 in delivery fees - more than the cost of the rental equipment itself!
The chairs, tables, and linens were all great and as expected. I was a little disappointed in the flimsiness of the arch for the beach, I expected it to be a little bit more sturdy. It made it hard to get it straight in the sand since it was so flimsy.
Next time I would shop around more ahead of time to try and find a better "bang for my buck" but I would not be opposed to using Chic again if that was my only option.
