From the very beginning, Julie was incredibly organized, responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. She patiently answered every question, helped us work through countless details, coordinated with our vendors, and made sure our timeline came together perfectly. She also understood how important our Chinese tea ceremony was to our families and helped incorporate it seamlessly into the wedding day.
In the days leading up to the wedding, we were especially nervous about the weather and whether our ceremony could be held outdoors. Julie stayed calm, kept a close eye on everything, communicated with the venue, and helped us make the right decision. On the wedding day, she handled every detail behind the scenes so Carter and I could be fully present and enjoy ourselves. Everything flowed beautifully, and whenever we needed something, Julie was already there taking care of it.
What made Julie so special was not only how professional and capable she was, but also how warm and reassuring she made us feel. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but she made the entire process feel so much easier. Our wedding day was even more beautiful and meaningful than we imagined, and we truly could not have done it without her.

The Tea Ceremony was a beautiful part of their day that highlighted their relationship with their parents. Iris completed FOUR gown changes during their Wedding day! Julie also scheduled monthly calls leading up to the wedding, which honestly made her feel more like a full wedding planner than just a day-of coordinator. Those check-ins gave me so much peace of mind and kept everything organized.

Chicago Weddings and Events was recommended to me by word of mouth and I’m so glad I went with them. I hired them for day of coordination services for my October 14 wedding.

is a great communicator, precise and you can tell she was passionate and loves what she does. Throughout the planning process early on, she made sure to keep in touch with me and schedule periodic calls. As the wedding drew closer, I know she was always two steps ahead of me and planned accordingly with other vendors.
On the day of, Julie and her business partner Lisa went above and beyond for me and I am forever grateful for that. For example, I gave Julie the vendor tip envelopes at the rehearsal dinner and realized I forgot to set aside the hair and make up to give the morning of. Julie was already aware of this and already went ahead and Venmo’d hair and make up on my behalf! Just a small example of organized she is.
I would recommended Chicago Weddings and Events LLC for your big day, I am forever grateful to them!

is so warm and joyful which kept everyone at ease and in a celebratory mood. More importantly she a kick-butt professional. She remained cool, calm, and collected during those wedding emergencies. While the rest of us planning spiraled, Julie remained our rock.
Our planning process had a handful of sticky moments with some vendors, and a few pretty rough moments. Julie gladly took them on head first. She spearheaded and maintained communication with the vendor. She always advocated for us and our wishes first and never shied away from tense conversations. She always proposed productive solutions to any problem, and eventually ended up managing the vendor's team providing them with consistant to-do lists to keep them focused.
Bonus is she always has the bride's best interest at heart and I felt I could go to her with any concerns no matter how small. She always put me at ease and worked so patiently with my mom to make sure she was satisfied as well!
The added value of having Julie on your planning team is her unfalterring support, warmth, and love for this job. It was a gift to have her next to me all day! I truly couldn't have done this without Julie's help and support. We love you Julie!

o I had every confidence in hiring her!
We met for a lengthy time to discuss all details, and she kept on top of those details throughout the planning, which included organizing our Covid protocols, since we asked everyone to submit proof of vax and booster shots, as well as testing day of the wedding.
The wedding went off without one hitch. In this particular case, Julie was actually ill day of the wedding, so she sent her very professional assistant Melissa. Melissa had been very well informed, knew all of the things that needed to take place and even photographed many of the details in decor and in different parts of the event. Everything was done smoothly, so that we all felt very relaxed and enjoyed our time at the wedding without having to worry about any details, as they were being handled. The venue where we were at, which was Salvage One (an outstanding venue) required that anything perishable be packed up before we left and taken. Other things could be stored there. Melissa had packed up everything by the time the wedding ended and took care of every little detail with grace and professionalism. But, I have to admit, we missed Julie, because we enjoyed knowing her so much! She is great!

lly he actual wedding, Julie and Lisa were there every step of the way. They worked with us for 2 years and 8 months!
Our guests commented frequently on how beautiful everything was and how smoothly the day went. This would not have been possible without Julie and Lisa. Their attention to detail is amazing. To ensure the day stayed on time, they provided a detailed timeline to us and all of our other vendors. Julie coordinated with the florist, our music vendor, the cake artist, the venue and the photographer to ensure all questions were answered. The responsiveness to emails, texts and phone calls is unparalleled.
Julie and Lisa facilitated the ceremony rehearsal and provided extra support during the rehearsal dinner when the venue let us down with significant staffing problems. They stepped in and served water, cleared plates and kept the guests engaged; I can’t imagine what the dinner would have been like without them!
I cannot say enough great things about their support! They are both awesome ladies and I would work with them again when daughter #2 gets married!

From there they were involved in so many steps and details along the way that made the whole wedding planning process much smoother! They were prompt with answering every question I had.
When it came to my wedding day, there is only one word that comes to mind, perfect. All because of Julie and Lisa. They considered every detail! They asked for one of the waitresses with appetizers to come outside while we were taking photos during cocktail hour so no one would miss out. They were with me the entire day to make sure things stayed on scheduled and that I had everything I needed to make sure I enjoyed my day!

ulie and Lisa took care of everything! Made sure everything ran smoothly and the way we had envisioned it to be. It rained on the day of our (outdoor) wedding, and we had to move our entire ceremony inside the tent. Julie and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure all our guests, decorations, and vendors got inside. I can't recommend them enough! My other vendors even kept complimenting how amazing they were!!
