JL was great to work with. He worked with my playlist and made sure everyone loved the music and had a great time. He made sure my husband and I loved the song choices and took extra time talking to us throughout the night to make sure we were happy, such an all around great guy and company!

I truly cannot say enough good things about Jose!! He made sure everything was seamless throughout the entire ceremony and reception. When the timeline started to slip away due to dinner being prolonged he helped us get back on track so that photography and videography were able to get everything they needed. Our photographers and videographers complimented him and his excellent ability to manage time. He played all of the songs we wanted to hear, as well as the songs we didn’t expect but loved. So many people approached me asking me who he was and where we found him!

Jose was a great vendor to work with. He was extremely accommodating and truly prioritized making sure we had the DJ experience we wanted. His online portal was helpful for adding music requests. He was very professional throughout all our planning. During our reception, he was very open to guest requests as well. He helped our wedding be super fun and memorable. Jose was an absolute pleasure to work with. Due to Covid our wedding had been postponed 2 times and he was so kind and understanding. The day of our wedding I remember Jose giving me a big hug and asking me, "Are you finally ready to do this thing?" That meant so much to me. And that he remembered all we had been through to finally get to our wedding day. The music was amazing and the communication was on point. The ease of everything was phenomenal! Jose Luis was our DJ for the wedding and I cannot stress how amazing he was. It was important to find someone bilingual that also spoke English fluent and easy to understand for my wife's Italian family. He did everything we asked of him and was a charismatic MC. Played a great mix of Spanish, rock, hip hop, Dean Martin and really anything we asked of him. Do yourself a favor and book him for your wedding.

Jose was great to work with! He went above and beyond in helping us plan our wedding. He is very organized in assuring the night goes exactly as you would like. We had a last minute change with our ceremony guitarist. Jose saved the day without question and came earlier than planned to assure we had music. We are forever grateful for Jose and his help. We booked JL for our recent July wedding and he was beyond amazing. Before the wedding he was responsive, and clear about what we should expect with the packages he offered. He asked a question on details we hadn’t even thought of which shows he is thorough and really knows his way around weddings. My husband and I both love to dance so, having good music was super important to us for our special day. We are also an interracial couple so it was important that the DJ played a good mix of both Spanish and English music for our blended families and boy did JL not disappoint. We got so many compliments from family saying he did a fantastic job with the music he picked out. Everyone had a blast and was up dancing the whole night. Jose was fantastic to work with. He was very professional and punctual but more important he was flexible; not only with date changes (thanks covid) but also as our wedding night progressed, certain events took longer then we planned. Jose was great with addressing our schedule and making recommendations on how to get back on track. He played our recommended songs but also played he own choices based on how the crowd was feeling. We had more people dancing than I've seen at the other weddings we've attended this year. Overall we were very happy with our experience and price.

JL was a pleasure to work with and super patient considering I didn't have time to work on the playlist until last minute. His transitions were awesome and the dance floor stayed full for hours. He accommodated so many of special requests in both Spanish and Tagalog as well and both of our families were so happy. We had multiple people asking for his information because he did so well.

JL was everything you could ask for and more for a wedding DJ! He was flexible with us as our reception got pushed during COVID. JL was absolutely incredible. From the moment we booked until the end of the wedding night, he was amazing to work with! He's one of those vendors that you truly don't have to worry about anything with - you book him, fill out some important music info, and the night just goes seamlessly! There's a cool portal where you can upload requested songs, important songs (like first dance, recessional, etc.) and he takes care of the rest! We didn't have a ton of 'must play songs' but JL really felt the vibe of the wedding and played songs that had the dance floor packed all night! I've been to a few weddings that had 'so so' DJ's where they'll play a few great songs and then you have to go sit down at your seat and wait for more dance songs to come on. Not with JL! We danced all night! I also received a ton of compliments from my guests as well. One of my bridesmaids attended another wedding a week after mine and even texted me how much better my DJ was! (not to put anyone else down! Just to truly share how great JL was!!) If you're looking for an awesome, attentive DJ with the ability to read the crowd and keep your guests dancing, Look no further!

JL was an amazing addition to our wedding day. He fulfilled our every request and jumped in to help when there was a mix up with a surprise video for the groom. WOW! My guests cant stop talking about how amazing our DJ was! I have never seen a dance floor so packed in my life. Jose was able to get every single one of my guests dancing all night. Our grand entrance was AWESOME and the lighting was so great. He made the whole night run so unbelievably smoothly and was so easy and fun to work with. He made our wedding the best night ever!!!!

José did THE MOST AMAZING job DJing our wedding. We had the best time, and people were dancing all night! Everything ran so incredibly smoothly too. I really loved working with him. The client portal made planning the event really easy, and José did a great job staying in contact and making sure he understood what we wanted for our wedding day. I was pleasantly surprised that he either already had or was able to get any song we wanted for entrances or dances. We had a couple crazy requests that were inside jokes with our friends, and José made it happen. We also rented a photo booth through Chicago Weddings & Events, and it was a huge hit! I’ve always wanted to have a photo booth at my wedding, so this was a dream come true. I honestly cannot recommend José and Chicago Weddings & Events enough. They will take care of you and do everything they can to make your event amazing. With how crazy the wedding industry is, they’re also very reasonably priced and worth every cent!

I was so happy with the amazing job that Chicago Weddings and Events did for my wedding! Our DJ was so easy to work with and communicate with! He was so helpful, flexible, fun, personable, and professional. I had so many people come up to me during and after my wedding asking who my DJ was, because they were all so impressed with him. Our dance floor was full the whole night, and it so much fun for everyone of every age group! Our dj and mc, JL was amazing! He played the songs we requested and stayed away from the songs we didn't want. He also made our venue absolutely beautiful with our custom lights. JL had ourselves and our 200+ guest dancing up all night. Two and a half years later, we are still getting compliments from our guest on how great our wedding was and I think a big part of that was due to JL, who made our reception very lively! JL was extremely involved and passionate about making our wedding day special to the best of his ability! He is very experienced and you can tell he enjoys what he does. For the price we paid he went above and beyond for us, completely exceeding our expectations. JL was very available to contact via phone and text message whenever we had questions or concerns. Very timely responses to text messages which was extremely comforting. As a bride, having that availablity from him relieved a lot of stress. He helped us tremendously in planning our time-table for the wedding from start to finish, which is something most DJs don't do from my understanding. He played most, if not all, of our songs that we requested and kept the entire night running smoothly and on time. Additionally, he read the crowd and played a lot of popular songs that everyone enjoyed dancing to that we wouldn't have even thought about. He provided all of his own equipment and made sure that the final details were ironed out ahead of the big day so that while we were at our wedding we could enjoy ourselves completely with minimal hiccups and interruptions. Overall, JL is completely deserving of 5/5 stars in terms of quality of his work as well as the pricing for his services. I would completely recommend him for any wedding, or event! Jose was awesome, we got the chance to email, talk, and video chat with him before the wedding and addressed all concerns. We even went over the playlist and he offered suggestions. We were running late from the ceremony, but Jose was able to adjust without any issue . He made sure everything was going smoothly and got people dancing !! Music and service was fantastic, 5 star DJ , and has just about anything you request !!!

Jose was great to work with. He was able to play both Latin music (salsa, bachata, etc.) as well as popular mainstream music, throwbacks, etc. which kept our dance floor going all night. He played a great mix of calm music during dinner and created a perfectly shortened version of our first dance song. I think the best summation of his work came when we entered the venue during cocktail hour and a friend commented, unprompted, that “the DJ is awesome!” Unexpected surprise: He DJ'd an event for us 10 years prior which was amazing! We recommend him to all of our friends.

I recently got married in downtown Chicago in September of 2018 and Jose was our wedding DJ/MC. He was absolutely incredible and professional. My husband and I did not have an extensive amount of contact with Jose prior to the wedding, but he just seemed to know exactly what we wanted. He played every song on our list and added some additional songs that his intuition just told him we would like and WE DID! I would highly recommend Chicago Weddings and Events to any other people out there getting married. Prices are reasonable and the quality is impeccable. I can't say even good things about Jose and his team, but if you are looking for a DJ/MC to really get your party started, stay on time with your timeline and someone who is reliable and thoughtful of his client's needs, Jose is your guy!

We had Jose as our DJ for our wedding and I can honestly say it was the best night ever! I was worried because I could not find a bilingual DJ for a long time but I’m so glad I came across his information! Working with him from the beginning was very easy, reassuring and took a lot of stress off our shoulders because he was very detailed and helpful. We received multiple phone calls prior to the wedding to discuss everything. The day of the wedding he was on time and everything was ready once we go to the reception, we didn’t have to worry about anything. He also incorporated our custom wedding song for a specific dance we had, and we had different songs for each couple in the bridal party (not easy) but everything was perfect! Our families love to dance and everyone was on the dance floor pretty much the entire night, we even extended 1 hour because everyone kept dancing and we didn’t want the party to stop! Peter Merkle, our DJ and most helpful reception advisor, was not only a spectacular DJ at the reception but an indispensable resource in planning the reception. He walked us through everything from the timeline to the floor plan of the reception. During the reception, Peter kept the dance floor full with both songs we had chosen and songs that kept the party going! In addition to the DJ services, we also used the photo booth which was a huge hit with guests young and old. It even came with props! Chicago Wedding DJs was incredibly helpful, professional, fun and patient from start to finish. If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding, you can't go wrong with Peter!

Our event was on 10/8/16 at the Embassy Suites in Rosemont. Jose spoke with me prior to contract. He wanted to ensure that he could offer what we were looking for in a DJ. Jose proved to be so much more than just entertainment. He had our guests laughing and smiling all night. His attention to detail was impressive. Jose met with us twice to discuss our music interests and preferred rotations. He then set up a playlist for us to add and edit. Before the event, he created an agenda to ensure that every desire would be met. On the day of, he arrived early to set up lights, projector, speakers, and equipment. Our guests were impressed by the set up. He matched the lighting to our selected colors. The dance floor was full all night long. Our guests didn't make requests because he played all genres. From freestyle to hip hop to a variety of Spanish, English, and by special request from us - Kpop. He made the night perfect. I would highly recommend his service to family and friends.

Not only is it a difficult event to plan, but add the out of town component to it and it can be very stressful. Chicago Weddings and Events was absolutely wonderful! Jose's professionalism, knowledge of the music industry, and prompt service made working with Jose stress-free. Jose initiated an in person meeting after speaking to him on the telephone so that he could better understand our needs. Jose created a shared google document so we could add songs that we wanted played throughout the night.He checked out the venue prior to event so that he could make recommendations as to where the speakers, DJ booth and lighting should be placed for optimal sound and lighting. He came early on the day of the event to set up and test the sound. He did a great job analyzing the crowd to ensure he played the right songs to keep the dance floor packed the entire night. We requested ethnic (bhangra) music to be played at our event and he did a great job with the smooth transitions of these songs during his sets. We received a lot of compliments on the lighting which added a fun club vibe to the party. We really enjoyed working with Jose and will definitely be hiring him again for future events. In fact 2 of our guests inquired about his services that night and have used him for their event which was equally fun & successful. Thank you for making the night an unforgettable one!

DJ Fuego was amazing!!!! We had the time of our lives on our wedding! Everyone was dancing and celebrating! we had a very nice mix of latin songs and pop songs. Jose was very good at feeling the vibe of the room and he was able to build the energy and have everyone moving on the dance floor. Jose was also very helpful and attentive when it came to coordinating all aspects of the wedding logistics. He met with our wedding coordinator, pastor, videographer, photographer, and other vendors to help coordinate everything. He also took the time to get to know us before the wedding, so he was able to know our music taste, and what we were looking for. The sound was very good, the lights were very good, all the equipment was professional grade quality. If we had to do it all over again we would absolutely have DJ Fuego back!!! Planning a wedding is no easy task, and can be a huge undertaking for just one person. In the Summer of 2004, last minute changes forced me to look for an alternate source of entertainment. Luckily for us, Jose Luis was there when we needed him. Sharing a mutual acquaintance helped, thats for sure but his professionalism thru the whole event was AMAZING. It was a one stop shop for us. He was able to coordinate the various forms of entertainment to fit our schedule and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. As if that wasn't enough his "MC" skills are what we remember the most. Sure he worked with us to customize the music for the event but it wasn't until the day of the event that we saw his OUTSTANDING MASTER OF CEREMONIES Talent. Anyone can play music, add lights and so on but it takes a special person to engage the crowd and keep the dance floor moving. We're going on 13 years of matrimony and I think we made the best decision to book him for our event since many people still talk about that day. Thanks for everything!
