The cake was beautiful. We met once and the vision we had was met perfectly. The cake itself was delicious.

The cake was exactly what we asked for and discussed with the consultants. The flavor was divine and we got so many compliments on the two different flavors we choose! We can't wait for our anniversary cake in a year!

I am saddened to write this review. My experience with this vendor started out well and they came highly recommended. However, the finished product was not what I ordered and tasted horrible. There are two things most people remember from a wedding, one of those being the cake. The cake we received the day of my wedding looked nothing like the picture given to them. The cake tasted like it was made a month too soon and they put it in the freezer. I thought it looked like a cake made for a birthday party, not a wedding. It is embarrassing when you cut the cake and have so much left over with guests telling you it tasted old.

Chocolate Maven was so helpful in making our friend's lingerie shower unforgettable. We were from out of town and had to do a lot or emailing and phone calling. They are very accommodating and were able to do everything we asked. We definitely recommend them for events!

My cake was one of my favorite parts of my entire wedding! Rachel at Chocolate Maven did a fantastic job making sure it was exactly what I envisioned (in the midst of her baby being due the same weekend as my wedding nonetheless)! We chose a honey vanilla cake with cream cheese filling and almond buttercream icing. Hands down, it was the most unique and best tasting wedding cake I have EVER had! The only (slight) disappointment we had was that our crushed blackberry filling we ordered on the side was not delivered. However, we really didn't need it- the cake was amazing on its own! Not only was it yummy, it was beautiful as well. They piped the top and sides of my cake to match the lace on my dress- gorgeous! Would, without any reservation, absolutely recommend Chocolate Maven! (They also have delicious brunch!!)

We ended up ordering a small ceremonial cake for cutting and then ordering a large sheet cake for serving (we saved a ton of money doing it this way). The staff at Chocolate Maven really helped up though the process. Even though out actual wedding cake was tiny they didn't treat us as any less of a priority. the cake tasting was fun and delicious and when we went to pick up the cakes they were ready right on time. Our tiny ceremonial cake looked beautiful amongst the cookies and chocolates of our dessert table.

We used Chocolate Maven and ordered 5 different smaller cakes. I couldn't decide on one flavor, they were all too good. I can't wait to go back!

Chocolate Maven was fantastic! The cake was amazingly delicious, delicate, and light. The staff was ultra friendly and helpful through the entire process, from the cake tasting to the delivery. Chocolate Maven is a wonderful place, they gave us everything we asked for and more. Working with them was excellent.

My now husband and I have known about Chocolate Maven for a while now, and always knew we wanted our wedding cake from there. We met with the wedding cake specialist in early 2012 and learned that they had recently had a change to a new specialist, Cherron. Coming from Ohio, we knew we wanted to play up our buckeye heritage with a chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. Cherron was more than accommodating, and in fact, said the previous baker had a severe peanut allergy, so we were very lucky that we got married when we did! The icing that Cherron created especially for us tasted amazing- not too sweet, more peanut than peanut buttery- and was perfect with the chocolate cake. She was able to make the design that we wanted for the main cake with ease. It was beautiful and fit perfectly at our wedding with our colors and theme. We, along with our guests and taste buds, really liked the end product. Cherron was also very quick to reply to emails and phone calls when I had questions and changes. We ordered a fancy wedding cake with two tiers- 8” and 6”- along with a 1/4 sheet cake. You can get a general idea of cake prices from their website, all though the wedding cakes are 3 tier and the prices quoted are 2 tier, so you have to multiply by 1.5. Also to note, we had our own cake stand- but one is available to rent from CM, and there are both pick-up and delivery options for the actual cake(s).

We ordered a small specialty cake for our wedding cake from the Chocolate Maven. It tasted excellent, looked great as well, and was priced well. There were only some minor issues with initially ordering the cake, I think the person that answered the phone was confused and possibly new. Also, I was told my cake would be ready at 10 a.m. for pick up and received a phone call a little before 11 clarifying the order because they weren't sure on a few details. The cake was ready prior to the wedding, so it was not a big deal, but possibly something to keep in mind with using the vendor.

We had Chocolate Maven provide cupcakes and a small cutting cake for our wedding in Santa Fe. You could not ask for better. We got a variety of cupcakes, and my favorites were dark Belgian chocolate ganache on french vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream on french vanilla cake. I have never had such moist cupcakes! The leftover cupcakes were still moist several days later as my husband and I took them on our honeymoon. Amber at Chocolate Maven is also an amazing decorator. While I went fairly simple on the frosting decorations (although I know their bakery does fancy stuff too), the overall effect was beautiful. I highly recommend Chocolate Maven if you want wedding cake/cupcakes that TASTE amazing, as well as look beautiful.
