Chris Bowman Photography

ng not just the big moments, but all the little details and emotions that make each wedding unique. Our photos turned out better than we ever imagined. Chris and Jess somehow managed to be everywhere at once - capturing candid laughter during the ceremony, the tears of joy during our vows, and all the spontaneous moments throughout the reception that we might have otherwise missed. The quality of their work is outstanding, and you can tell they truly care about telling each couple's story through their lens. What impressed us most was how comfortable they made everyone feel. Our families and wedding party were completely at ease, which really shows in the natural, genuine expressions they captured. They worked seamlessly together as a team and were so professional throughout the entire process. These photos will be treasured memories for the rest of our lives, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. We wholeheartedly recommend Chris and Jess to anyone looking to capture their special moments - whether it's a wedding, engagement, or any other milestone worth celebrating. They don't just take photos; they create lasting memories that you'll cherish forever. Thank you, Chris and Jess, for helping us preserve the magic of our wedding day!

of humor, they made every moment so much fun. My (now) husband hates photos and even he was raving about how great it was to hang out with and get photos taken by them! We had an Indian fusion wedding with multiple events (i.e. tons of things that required photography), and both Jess and Chris were always punctual, focused, fun, and ready to help capture the best moments of our lives. 1000000000% recommend them to everyone-- I genuinely wish we knew more people in the Ohio/Columbus area solely to spread the word on how amazing they are!

ery, it was clear they were cheerleaders in our corner! One of the initial reasons my husband and I wanted to work with them was because we loved their work and the way they capture the essence of real life during the special moments on a wedding day. Their attention to detail was evident through a planning call reviewing every aspect of the timeline, generating a list of important family portraits to capture, and building in flexibility when things didn’t go as planned. They captured every important moment of our day beautifully! They made both me and my partner feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which was a huge plus since we’re not usually the most comfortable being photographed. They truly hyped us up and kept us excited throughout the entire day, making the experience so much fun. Their professionalism was outstanding- they were reliable, organized, and pure fun! If you want a dependable duo who will make your wedding day memories last forever, we highly recommend booking the Bowmans!

wedding day run as smoothly and stress free as possible. We can't recommend them enough!!

oment they arrived, they brought not just their cameras, but their incredible energy, passion, and warmth. Jess is a force of nature - in the most wonderful way. Her vibrant, theatrical personality instantly made everyone feel confident, comfortable, and seen. She knew exactly how to pose each person so naturally that even the most camera-shy among us felt like models. Her enthusiasm was infectious and made every moment feel joyful and celebratory. Chris, with his calm, methodical approach, was the perfect complement. He has an eye for detail that is unmatched—he didn’t miss a single angle, glance, or quiet moment. Where Jess drew out our brightest smiles and laughter, Chris quietly and expertly captured every behind-the-scenes spark that made the day so meaningful. Together, they are magic. They didn’t just take photos; they told our story. Looking at our gallery, we don’t just see images—we relive the emotion, the laughter, the tears, the love. Every photo is rich with life and authenticity. And perhaps most importantly, they felt like family. They celebrated with us, supported us, and made us feel completely at ease from start to finish. Their presence elevated the entire day. Several of our guests made a point to come up to us and say, “Your photographers are incredible”—and they were right. I don’t plan on having another wedding, but if I did, there would be no decision to make: it would be Chris and Jess, over and over again. We are endlessly grateful for the memories they captured and the love they poured into every single frame. If you’re lucky enough to have them available for your date, book them. You won’t just get stunning photos - you’ll get an experience you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

and even ones we didn't even think of! Our engagement shoot was excellent, too. They make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and pose, which can typically feel awkward. I chose them because their wedding package and pricing were very fair, and their pictures are great, but they really do go above and beyond. The time and creativity put into our wedding albums didn't go unnoticed. Each one was so special and unique and turned out to be great gifts for our parents. We have practically wallpapered our home with all of the pictures because there is no way to choose just a handful of favorites. They are so spectacular my sister booked them asap when she got engaged.

ad a blast! Their creativity and passion shine through in every shot, making our special day look even more magical than we remembered. They were punctual, professional, and an absolute joy to be around – it felt like we had friends capturing our day. We truly got way more than what we paid for. They were there every step of the way, from morning mimosas while getting ready to the late-night dance floor. Their attention to detail with our timeline was impeccable, ensuring everything stayed on track and communication between the bridal suite and groomsmen was seamless. One of the highlights was our first touch, which they pulled off flawlessly. It was seriously one of the best moments of our day, thanks to their expert guidance. We cannot recommend them enough! If you're looking for a photographer who is talented, fun, and genuinely cares about making your day perfect, look no further. Thank you for making our wedding unforgettable!

id a perfect job capturing everything around our special day! Chris always finds the coolest shots and Jess will always come fix your hair if it gets out of place so you never have to worry! From start to finish, you feel taken care of. They are easy to talk to and they are so much fun! They are incredibly helpful leading up to the wedding too. They were always so quick to respond, they answered any questions we had and helped us create a timeline. They made us feel comfortable on our wedding day and are so good at getting fantastic pictures of all the big stuff and sneakily catching the special little moments too. Chris and Jess are truly amazing photographers!

aceTimed with them, things clicked instantly. My husband and I knew right away that we wanted to work with them. They were supportive and knew just how to capture what makes us US. It was so easy to be comfortable with them. Honestly, I need Jess in my life on a daily basis as my hype girl! She and Chris work so well and so naturally together. He finds the shots, and she knows just how to position everyone to make them happen. They are the complete package. They take beautiful photos, they’re incredibly organized, they’re completely dependable and reliable and trustworthy, they are easygoing and FUN to be around, and they capture genuine moments and emotions. They go above and beyond to help you in whatever way they can. Early on in our wedding planning process, I remember having a moment of panic about which ceremony space to use at our venue. Jess called me and talked me through the details of each space. She spent over an hour on the phone with me, answering all of my questions and reassuring me that no matter the space we picked, it would be beautiful and they would capture every moment. Leading up to the wedding, I kept telling my family and wedding party how much I loved our photographers and how amazing they were. I think everyone was getting a little sick of hearing me talk about them until they met Chris and Jess, and then they totally understood!! We found the Bowmans on a list of recommended vendors from our venue, and I feel so fortunate that they were available on our wedding date. They are EXCEPTIONAL at what they do and I want to have another wedding just to have the chance to work with them again! I cannot recommend them enough!!

and helped us navigate bumps in the road with other vendors. The wedding day timeline they made for us was the most beautiful document I have ever seen. On the wedding day, they will manage your people with ease and make it so much fun. Our wedding party and families were obsessed with both of them. Both my husband and I were very nervous day of wedding - Chris and Jess both were so kind and funny and really helped ground both of us for the day. We would have another wedding just to spend another 15 hour day with them. And lastly, the photos are ABOVE AND BEYOND fantastic. They capture the day and the details and emotions and beauty and scenery and we got every single photo we asked for (and more). CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY ENOUGH!!!!

r photos has made the same comment - "they captured the joy of the day". They were so fun to work with, energetic, professional, and thoughtful. Highly recommend!! Loved the candids!

l engagement photos and helped us become comfortable in front of the camera, helped us through the planning process by creating a detailed photo timeline, and took the most amazing wedding photos we could have dreamed of!! Chris and Jess were a huge part in making our wedding day go so smoothly! We are so happy they were apart of our special day and captured the memories we will cherish forever! We also got so many compliments from our wedding party on how kind and accommodating they were. 110% recommend them!!

professional. They're also very kind, understanding humans - They bring a level of calm to what can be an otherwise overwhelming planning experience. My husband and I have always been blown away by their work and we'll cherish our engagement and wedding photos. We cannot recommend them enough!

s in the shadows and whites, beautiful depth of field work, artistic eye. I hired them originally because I love the way the captured the guests and they knocked it out of the park for us too! It was an added bonus to have an engagement session included; which allowed us to all get to know each other and get comfortable. It was fun to see them again at our wedding! Can't recommend these two enough :)

our photographers felt more like having close friends with us throughout the day as they are so incredibly personable and friendly. They 100% made our vision for our big day come to life all while keeping us on schedule and also delivering the most beautiful photos. They're truly so talented and just all around incredible people.

s that last a lifetime. Chris and Jess did that and so much more. We knew we were in the best of hands from the beginning, which started with a 45 minute introduction call before we had even signed a contract. Their thoughtfulness, attention to detail, pure kindness and level of expertise continued throughout our entire process. If we had a question about our timeline or anything related to our day, Jess and Chris were always there to guide us. They truly treated us like friends v. clients, and as if our wedding was a special day of their own. Both our engagement and wedding photos are priceless and we will forever be grateful to have found Jess and Chris. We can confidently say our wedding would have not been the same without them, and for that we cannot recommend Chris Bowman Photography enough. We know and look forward to using them again to capture other future milestones.

y were so on top of things, so enthusiastic, and so supportive of us. The engagement photo session was so fun and really solidified how lucky we were to have them as our photographers! We feel so lucky to have their photos as forever memories of our wedding. Their editing style is bright and beautiful, and we really feel they captured our wedding day perfectly. Not only did Chris and Jess do a wonderful job photographing us as the couple, they also did so well with coordinating family photos and taking candid pictures of our loved ones throughout the day. When we got our wedding photos back, we literally marked 350 of them as “favorites” and even that was us trying to be conservative in picking out the best ones. The coffee table album is gorgeous, tells the story of the wedding perfectly, and Chris & Jess truly picked the most beautiful pictures to include. To all engaged couples, please work with Chris & Jess for your wedding!! They will bring so much joy and talent and fun to your wedding day, and give you beautiful memories to cherish for years to come!

couple. From making sure my hair isn’t in my face to taking two set of detail shots because I didn’t know what earrings I was going to wear, they are so detail oriented. Planning meetings were fun and informative, they were so helpful in putting together our timeline based on their experience. They captured the best candid moments and the posed photos were also very natural. They made family photos a breeze and I didn’t have to worry about them at all in making sure that they knew exactly what I wanted. The photos are gorgeous and I can’t wait to print them!

o make suggestions to make the day go smooth and more efficient. They also worked well with our DJ to keep the agenda rolling through the night. You get two photographers with them which works out well, and their photo packages are priced well. No hesitation in recommending Chris and Jess to photograph your wedding!

our wedding day. They were very organized and professional and made the day go so smoothly. Our photos turned out beautifully!

rge ceremony and reception photos! They were super easy to work with when our plans changed and we enjoyed having two people to get different points of view and split up while we got ready. My husband and I don't love being photographed and they made us feel comfortable and the final results were better than we could imagine. Thank you Chris and Jess!!

warm, and make you feel at ease throughout the entire process. They were so incredibly generous and supportive throughout all of the twists and turns that come with planning a wedding, especially one thrown the nasty COVID curveball. They graciously shot both our casual original wedding day and our postponed big celebration, with so many laughs a long the way. Our wedding party and families also gushed over how wonderful they both were. Their photography captures all of the emotions of those big moments, they make you feel so confident, and they are pros at catching all of the candid goodness that occurs. We are so thankful to have these lovely humans in our lives and their beautiful artwork to remember these moments by.

anding and patient at every turn. So many of our guests commented about how organized, present and kind they were throughout the whole night. They did a great job managing our families and our friends and ensuring we got every photo we needed. They came to Cleveland and did so much leg work finding cool places to shoot with very little information from us. Jess even stood with me and calmed me before our first look. Their work is flawless and I would recommend them to everyone. Booking them is one of the best decisions you will make on your wedding day.

is and Jess was the best decision we have ever made. I called them to tell them about the change, worried it wouldn’t work. Their only response was “we’ll be there”. And they were— they were there for us from the day we emailed to get a quote, to cancelling, to postponing, to changing the whole thing. Not only are they incredible people, but their work is absolutely breathtaking. Our friends and family were floored (and those getting engaged soon couldn’t ask for contact info fast enough). They truly made our wedding what it was. I want to be best friends with them in real life. They are so sweet, genuine, professional, and on TOP OF THAT are truly talented photographers! Their organization made the day run flawlessly and their location scouting for different shots was out of this world. I can’t sing their praises enough. Hire them. They are the best there is.

I’m so glad we picked them! We had to postpone our large wedding due to Covid-19, and they were so supportive, helpful and willing to shoot both an intimate ceremony in June and a big celebration in August. IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO TRUST COMPLETELY, PICK CHRIS AND JESS. I forgot a nice hanger for my dress pictures – bam. Jess had one. They were checking off lists and calling people by name for our huge family photos – impressive and winsome to everyone there. When we realized we were missing the “glowy sunset light” but didn’t want to leave our guests, Chris and Jess scoped out a cool bridge with string lights for some incredibly unique black and white shots after dark -- then hung back and told us to enjoy our little walk back. It was one of my favorite moments from the night, and it happened because they were intentional. If you’re looking for a photographer, they’re the real deal. They feel like your friends, but deliver incredibly professional and thoughtful work. Super responsive to texts and emails. Hilarious and easy to talk to. Relaxed, but completely on top of things. Organized but really flexible with whatever the day throws at you. And they captured so many moments that made me tear up looking through our gallery – you can trust them to catch the things you didn’t get to see in the whirlwind of your day. Our wedding(s) wouldn’t have been what they are without Chris and Jess, and I’m beyond grateful. The best decision my husband and I could have made!

is & Jess work as a great team and we had a wonderful experience with them. Starting way back when, to our engagement photos, my husband and I are a little camera shy and Chris & Jess made us feel so comfortable which in return set the stage for a fun/easy wedding day! A part from Chris & Jess just being all around great people, the pictures they took capture so much emotion, love, joy, authenticity, and so on. Amazing photos, amazing people.

ad no doubt in our mind that we found our wedding photographers. You just need to have 5 mins with C+J to get a feel for who there are: the sweetest couple on the planet, so caring, genuine, calming, and hilarious. Chris + Jess make you feel like you’ve known them for years / make you feel completely comfortable. C+J took our engagement photos. My husband & I are the farthest things from models – but C+J made us feel like we were. They make you feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident. I am not sure how they are so good at this, but is what you need in a photographer – it makes your pics look real, authentic, & capture your true self. Instead of looking like our pics were staged – they got to capture our personalities, our love, & who we are. We had so much fun & wish we could spend more time with them. They are outgoing, make you laugh, are so bubbly. Truly one of a kind. I could go on & on about how much I love their personalities. They are the type of people you want in your life. They set up a call to discuss your big day. They listened, asked us questions about how we envision our special day & what we expected. they took time to create a photo timeline. It was the best – I completely trusted them – they are so experienced. There was no doubt that our entire day was going to be captured so that we could have these memories. C+J came from out of town, woke up at the crack of dawn, stayed the entire night, & captured every second of our wedding day. Do you know how long of a day that is?! How did we get so lucky? They truly have to love what they do to spend their entire day taking photos. Not only are they amazing, hardworking people. They are beyond talented. The photos they take are incredible. One of the things that stood out to me – was their eye for beautiful photo scenes. I see wedding photos all the time – most photographers go to the same areas & take pics with these elaborate backgrounds. C+J came the day before our wedding & searched out spots to take our photos – can you say dedicated? But the best thing, was getting to see the spots that they picked. They take the coolest, yet simplest backgrounds & make them incredible. Most people would’ve walked right past these locations – but these spots caught their eyes. They were the ones that created the cool shots, not the backgrounds. They made the focus on the bride, the groom, the bridal party, etc. To me, that is what you call experienced & talented photographers. C+J capture YOU. They capture YOUR personality & form the photos around YOU. I can not stress this enough. I am so thankful for them.We are literally able to relive our entire wedding day. This is such an important, once in lifetime day & are lucky enough to have these photos to look back on. Memories forever of our love, family, & big day. Chris Bowman Photography surpassed our expectations of wedding photographers. If you are considering a wedding photographer, look no further, because C+J are the absolute best. They go above & beyond. You can truly tell that they love capturing this important day for couples. I will be recommending Chris Bowman Photography to all! I am so sad that my time spent with C+J has come to an end – I want more of them in my life! Chris Bowman Photography is a wedding vendor you WANT to work with! 😊

inning, they took the time to understand us and what we wanted on our wedding day. They listened to our "musts" and "would-be-nices" and did everything they could to make it all happen! They were a perfect addition to our wedding and captured gorgeous moments all dang day! On top of being professional, organized, and efficient, they are just great people to be around and SO FUN!

them, we liked them. They are kind, warm, cute, fun, reliable, supportive, and excellent at their craft. Jess is incredibly organized and that was THE most helpful thing for us on the wedding day. We met with them twice before the wedding and they heard all of our requests and went above and beyond. They made the whole process smooth from start to finish. They are quick to respond to all emails. They were the people we wanted with us on our wedding day. They are incredible photographers. Chris has such a talent behind the camera. Their photos speak for themselves. We were looking for a more photo journalistic style which they are excellent at. We got to see over 100 photos after 2-3 days which was so exciting. They work so well as a team. Our families and wedding party were basically obsessed with them, and they are still talking about how great these two are. The photos are so so valuable to us and they captured the day perfectly. We could not be happier! Thanks Chris and Jess!!

with a knack and artistry for photography! Upon our initial meeting with the two, we instantly knew it was going to be an amazing fit - it felt like catching up with old friends. From our engagement shoot to our actual wedding day, Chris and Jess made us feel so special and cared for. We always felt at ease around them and the results - incredible! Our photos turned out absolutely beautiful and our day was captured exactly the way we wanted it to be. If you are looking for excellent communication, amazing photo aesthetic, astounding service, and really, just cool, down to earth people - look no further. Chris and Jess were truly the best wedding decision we made.

bination of kind, funny, artistic, and all around fantastic. You can’t find a couple who works better together than these 2 in Ohio, maybe anywhere. They don’t take themselves too seriously and that makes what can be a stressful atmosphere, very calm and relaxed, more like hanging out with friends! All of that is not even including their work! It is both technically accurate and in very good style and taste. Their work isn’t only in one “style” but it reflects each couple and their day wonderfully. If you find yourself in the position to book Chris and Jess for your wedding, do yourself a favor and don’t pass up the opportunity! If you do there’s a good chance someone else will grab them before you come back! 5 stars all the way around!!

allowing us to get great pictures while still enjoying our wedding. Their photo quality is top notch as well. Highly recommend!

day. They were quick to reply to emails and listened to all of my concerns/bridezilla worries! Our engagement session was absolutely perfect. Chris and Jess helped us build a timeline for our wedding day. It was so great to have a guide to keep us on track. To say they are professionals is an understatement. They learned all of our immediate family members names (including our 11 nieces and nephews) to make sure we got all the photos we wanted! They went along with every wild idea we had and made them look amazing. We literally begged them to stay at the reception because we enjoyed being around them! We can’t recommend Chris and Jess enough!

and they were able to capture every detail, expression and emotion from our big day. We could not thank them enough for the amazing job they did for both our engagement and wedding photos!

re-taking time feeling at ease and comfortable while enjoying the company of two awesome people? If you answered no to any of the above, you're lying. Your photographer search has come to an end - these are the photographers you're looking for. From the very beginning, Chris and Jess were amazing to work with. We first met them in a coffee shop and immediately felt like we were there meeting friends. Both of them are so warm and friendly that I can't imagine not getting along with them. They complement each other perfectly, and are 100% dedicated to both their craft and capturing all the magic of your wedding day. When we first started working with them, they travelled 2 hours to meet us for our engagement photos. We initially thought we didn't want an engagement shoot, but Chris and Jess argued strongly in favor of doing it and we can't thank them enough for saving us from making a big mistake. The pictures they got of us were beautiful and worked perfectly as decorations in the wedding itself. Not only that, but it was a great warmup for pictures on the day-of. Before our wedding, they helped us figure out our schedule and had really thoughtful advice on topics photographic and otherwise. On the big day, Chris and Jess showed up right on time and immediately got to work. They caught every last image we wanted - detail shots, the architecture, scenery, and decorations, pictures of us getting ready, posed shots before and after the ceremony, candids during the ceremony and reception - everything. They helped coordinate getting us everywhere we needed to be when we needed to be there, and had already scouted several different locations near our venue to use as backdrops. They were somehow everywhere, all the time, without once being obtrusive or noticeable. When they delivered our pictures, we were absolutely blown away. In a custom-made wooden box they sent us a flash drive with hundreds of edited photographs, both high-res and optimized for online sharing. They also printed out dozens of their favorites, so right away we had beautiful prints to look through and remember our day. We've gone through the hundreds of pictures twice now and every single one of them is a winner. When we look at them we instantly feel transported back to our wedding. If you've read this far, you've already hesitated too long. Talk to Chris and Jess and book them if at all possible. You will not regret this decision for a second.

ng photography the best it could be. They were always professional, reliable, and extremely patient with answering all of our questions; however, they were also kind, warm, engaging, and so much fun! Working with Chris and Jess was like spending time with old friends! While shooting our engagement pictures, Jess helped us get over the awkwardness of posing for pictures, while Chris took some of our best shots. They were such troopers on our wedding day, which was close to 90 degrees outdoors. Our photos are stunning and even though it has been months since our wedding, my husband and I still cannot choose a favorite! Thank you again for capturing our wedding, our family, our friends, and ultimately our love in a way that is so true to who we are!

ll of professional pictures would be very draining. But Chris and Jess made taking photographs less like a chore and more like hanging out with fun, artsy friends who were obsessed with taking pictures of us! The last thing we wanted is to be drained at our reception because we were taking photos all day. They're such a good team together. Chris is very logical and can spot a beautiful shot from a mile away. It was easy for us to trust his judgement after seeing our engagement photos . Jess is the most bubbly and personable person on the planet and made us feel like we were best friends right away. We were completely comfortable being ourselves right away which made our photos look so much more natural. We could tell they genuinely enjoyed scoping out spots and taking pictures of us around the city. After seeing their synergy at such a competitive price, I would question the effectiveness of photography studios or photographers who do weddings solo.

Jess helped my husband and I get over the awkwardness of posing for pictures, while Chris took some of our best shots. They were such troopers on our wedding day, which was close to 90 degrees outdoors. Afterward, my husband and I joked that Chris was even more eager to get good pictures than we were; he came to get us for a photo on the balcony at sunset. I was enjoying my drink and not too concerned about pictures, but Chris insisted, and when they posted that sunset photo of me laughing up at Mark on the balcony, my heart just melted. Thank you for treating my wedding photos as you would your own!

wedding. They make the best team and clearly love what they do! I can't wait to see how our photos turn out, but I'm confident they'll be awesome!

ngagement and the wedding! Chris and Jess are so professional, fun, and easy to work with. I loved that they captured so many great candid shots along with the group shots of the bridal party, family, etc. The pictures were everything we wanted... and they were everything we wanted in photographers. They are seriously great people... my husband and I want to be friends with them in real life! :)

uch a joy to be around, but they are also as professional as it gets. The photographs they took completely capture the love Jonathon and I have for each other. I love the authentic style they bring to every single picture they take. We cannot wait to work with Chris and Jess for our wedding day! Highly recommend this talented duo.

t such a perfect price to fit into our budget. They're flexible and put their couples first in the way they approach photography. They want to authentically capture the personality of their brides/grooms and don't make you feel awkward. I waited a little while to receive the photos back but when I did I was in awe. The photos were gorgeous, natural looking (without any weird filters), and timeless; there was a simplicity about them that is captivating and the quality is impeccable. By the time the wedding rolled around, after we had our engagement session, we were totally comfortable with the cameras flashing. They made it easy to go about our special day in a natural way without paying too much attention to the spotlight being on us. Cannot thank you enough Chris & Jess! Thank you for your amazing work and time. :)

d for a better pair and are excited to see the finished photos :-)

d put everyone at ease during the high stress that is the Big Day. They were even willing to bring their very expensive equipment onto the ice to take our engagement shots at the OSU ice rink, which several other photographers were uncomfortable with. On top of all of that, they are extremely affordable (costing MUCH less than what many other photographers do for two shooters). I can’t recommend them enough!

requirement was that he take more candid pictures than the posed. But let me just say, all of the pictures he took were incredible. I was nervous about how the pictures would turn out; so much so that I texted him as we were on the plane for our honeymoon! He told me not to worry, that he got a lot of great pics. Boy, did he ever! In all of our meetings with Chris and Jess, they made us feel comfortable and important. Chris' calm demeanor with Jess' infectious positivity are a great combination. They work together to get the best pictures. Chris brings an air of creativity, and Jess brings the romance. You cannot go wrong with these two. They genuinely want to get great pics and make you happy. Prices are very reasonable; the memories I get to look at every day are worth much more than we could ever pay them. Again, I feel so lucky to have found them. I would book them now, look no further!
