Chris and Jess were such an amazing team!! They really caught all these amazing tiny moments in our day and captured the usual wedding stuff of course. Technically skilled - details in the shadows and whites, beautiful depth of field work, artistic eye. I hired them originally because I love the way the captured the guests and they knocked it out of the park for us too! It was an added bonus to have an engagement session included; which allowed us to all get to know each other and get comfortable. It was fun to see them again at our wedding! I can’t put into words how amazing and talented Chris & Jess are, and how fortunate we feel to have found them for our wedding. Starting with our first communication with them, they were so on top of things, so enthusiastic, and so supportive of us. Where do I even begin with expressing my love for Chris and Jess?! The photographers are the people that I (the bride) spent most of my day with and they are just the most splendid couple. From making sure my hair isn’t in my face to taking two set of detail shots because I didn’t know what earrings I was going to wear, they are so detail oriented. Planning meetings were fun and informative, they were so helpful in putting together our timeline based on their experience. They captured the best candid moments and the posed photos were also very natural. They made family photos a breeze and I didn’t have to worry about them at all in making sure that they knew exactly what I wanted. The photos are gorgeous and I can’t wait to print them!

The Bowman’s were so much fun to work with and we LOVE our photos! Our bridal party also loved them! They took our engagement pictures, small intimate ceremony pictures, and our large ceremony and reception photos! They were super easy to work with when our plans changed and we enjoyed having two people to get different points of view and split up while we got ready. Chris and Jess were recommended to us by a friend after their wonderful experience with them and we are so glad we chose them to go on this adventure with us. They are both so fun, warm, and make you feel at ease throughout the entire process. They were so incredibly generous and supportive throughout all of the twists and turns that come with planning a wedding, especially one thrown the nasty COVID curveball. I cannot say enough about Chris and Jess. They were amazing throughout our entire wedding process. Due to covid wedding planning was more stressful that usual and they were understanding and patient at every turn. So many of our guests commented about how organized, present and kind they were throughout the whole night. They did a great job managing our families and our friends and ensuring we got every photo we needed. They came to Cleveland and did so much leg work finding cool places to shoot with very little information from us. Jess even stood with me and calmed me before our first look. Their work is flawless and I would recommend them to everyone. Booking them is one of the best decisions you will make on your wedding day.

Chris and Jess were our wedding photographers for our May 30th wedding in Cleveland which, due to COVID-19, became a September 12th wedding at Nemacolin in Pennsylvania. Hiring Chris and Jess was the best decision we have ever made. I called them to tell them about the change, worried it wouldn’t work. Their only response was “we’ll be there”. And they were— they were there for us from the day we emailed to get a quote, to cancelling, to postponing, to changing the whole thing. Not only are they incredible people, but their work is absolutely breathtaking. Our friends and family were floored (and those getting engaged soon couldn’t ask for contact info fast enough). They truly made our wedding what it was. I want to be best friends with them in real life. They are so sweet, genuine, professional, and on TOP OF THAT are truly talented photographers! Their organization made the day run flawlessly and their location scouting for different shots was out of this world. I can’t sing their praises enough. Hire them. They are the best there is.

Chris and Jess are literally heroes. (And I was picky about photographers!) Their work completely won me over, and their personalities and care told me I wanted them in my corner. I’m so glad we picked them! We had to postpone our large wedding due to Covid-19, and they were so supportive, helpful and willing to shoot both an intimate ceremony in June and a big celebration in August. IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO TRUST COMPLETELY, PICK CHRIS AND JESS. I forgot a nice hanger for my dress pictures – bam. Jess had one. They were checking off lists and calling people by name for our huge family photos – impressive and winsome to everyone there. When we realized we were missing the “glowy sunset light” but didn’t want to leave our guests, Chris and Jess scoped out a cool bridge with string lights for some incredibly unique black and white shots after dark -- then hung back and told us to enjoy our little walk back. It was one of my favorite moments from the night, and it happened because they were intentional. If you’re looking for a photographer, they’re the real deal. They feel like your friends, but deliver incredibly professional and thoughtful work. Super responsive to texts and emails. Hilarious and easy to talk to. Relaxed, but completely on top of things. Organized but really flexible with whatever the day throws at you. And they captured so many moments that made me tear up looking through our gallery – you can trust them to catch the things you didn’t get to see in the whirlwind of your day. Our wedding(s) wouldn’t have been what they are without Chris and Jess, and I’m beyond grateful. The best decision my husband and I could have made!

The best decision made regarding our wedding, besides of course, who I was marrying, was hands down our wedding photographers. Within the first 5 mins of meeting Chris + Jess, we had no doubt in our mind that we found our wedding photographers. You just need to have 5 mins with C+J to get a feel for who there are: the sweetest couple on the planet, so caring, genuine, calming, and hilarious. Chris + Jess make you feel like you’ve known them for years / make you feel completely comfortable. C+J took our engagement photos. My husband & I are the farthest things from models – but C+J made us feel like we were. They make you feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident. I am not sure how they are so good at this, but is what you need in a photographer – it makes your pics look real, authentic, & capture your true self. Instead of looking like our pics were staged – they got to capture our personalities, our love, & who we are. We had so much fun & wish we could spend more time with them. They are outgoing, make you laugh, are so bubbly. Truly one of a kind. I could go on & on about how much I love their personalities. They are the type of people you want in your life. They set up a call to discuss your big day. They listened, asked us questions about how we envision our special day & what we expected. they took time to create a photo timeline. It was the best – I completely trusted them – they are so experienced. There was no doubt that our entire day was going to be captured so that we could have these memories. C+J came from out of town, woke up at the crack of dawn, stayed the entire night, & captured every second of our wedding day. Do you know how long of a day that is?! How did we get so lucky? They truly have to love what they do to spend their entire day taking photos. Not only are they amazing, hardworking people. They are beyond talented. The photos they take are incredible. One of the things that stood out to me – was their eye for beautiful photo scenes. I see wedding photos all the time – most photographers go to the same areas & take pics with these elaborate backgrounds. C+J came the day before our wedding & searched out spots to take our photos – can you say dedicated? But the best thing, was getting to see the spots that they picked. They take the coolest, yet simplest backgrounds & make them incredible. Most people would’ve walked right past these locations – but these spots caught their eyes. They were the ones that created the cool shots, not the backgrounds. They made the focus on the bride, the groom, the bridal party, etc. To me, that is what you call experienced & talented photographers. C+J capture YOU. They capture YOUR personality & form the photos around YOU. I can not stress this enough. I am so thankful for them.We are literally able to relive our entire wedding day. We knew we wanted our pictures to be amazing and placed all of our trust in Chris and Jess - we could not possibly be happier with our experience and the results! I had the genuine pleasure of working with Chris and Jess recently. As a wedding vendor myself, I was so surprised at how easy to get along with they were. They are a wonderful combination of kind, funny, artistic, and all around fantastic. You can’t find a couple who works better together than these 2 in Ohio, maybe anywhere. It is hard to put into words how amazing Chris and Jess were during our wedding process. From the moment we met them, we knew they were the ones we wanted to photograph our special day. They were quick to reply to emails and listened to all of my concerns/bridezilla worries! Our engagement session was absolutely perfect. Chris and Jess helped us build a timeline for our wedding day. It was so great to have a guide to keep us on track. To say they are professionals is an understatement. They learned all of our immediate family members names (including our 11 nieces and nephews) to make sure we got all the photos we wanted! They went along with every wild idea we had and made them look amazing. We literally begged them to stay at the reception because we enjoyed being around them! Your photographer search has come to an end - these are the photographers you're looking for. From the very beginning, Chris and Jess were amazing to work with. We first met them in a coffee shop and immediately felt like we were there meeting friends. Both of them are so warm and friendly that I can't imagine not getting along with them. They complement each other perfectly, and are 100% dedicated to both their craft and capturing all the magic of your wedding day. When we first started working with them, they travelled 2 hours to meet us for our engagement photos. We initially thought we didn't want an engagement shoot, but Chris and Jess argued strongly in favor of doing it and we can't thank them enough for saving us from making a big mistake. The pictures they got of us were beautiful and worked perfectly as decorations in the wedding itself. Not only that, but it was a great warmup for pictures on the day-of. Before our wedding, they helped us figure out our schedule and had really thoughtful advice on topics photographic and otherwise. On the big day, Chris and Jess showed up right on time and immediately got to work. They caught every last image we wanted - detail shots, the architecture, scenery, and decorations, pictures of us getting ready, posed shots before and after the ceremony, candids during the ceremony and reception - everything. They helped coordinate getting us everywhere we needed to be when we needed to be there, and had already scouted several different locations near our venue to use as backdrops. They were somehow everywhere, all the time, without once being obtrusive or noticeable. When they delivered our pictures, we were absolutely blown away. In a custom-made wooden box they sent us a flash drive with hundreds of edited photographs, both high-res and optimized for online sharing. They also printed out dozens of their favorites, so right away we had beautiful prints to look through and remember our day. We've gone through the hundreds of pictures twice now and every single one of them is a winner. When we look at them we instantly feel transported back to our wedding. If you've read this far, you've already hesitated too long. Talk to Chris and Jess and book them if at all possible. You will not regret this decision for a second.

Chris and Jessica are the cutest photography couple ever! We had a huge rehearsal dinner with lots of camera friendly families the night before, so we thought having another day full of professional pictures would be very draining. But Chris and Jess made taking photographs less like a chore and more like hanging out with fun, artsy friends who were obsessed with taking pictures of us! The last thing we wanted is to be drained at our reception because we were taking photos all day. They're such a good team together. Chris is very logical and can spot a beautiful shot from a mile away. It was easy for us to trust his judgement after seeing our engagement photos . Jess is the most bubbly and personable person on the planet and made us feel like we were best friends right away. We were completely comfortable being ourselves right away which made our photos look so much more natural. We could tell they genuinely enjoyed scoping out spots and taking pictures of us around the city. After seeing their synergy at such a competitive price, I would question the effectiveness of photography studios or photographers who do weddings solo.

Chris and Jess did our engagement and wedding photos and were just wonderful. They were engaging, personable, and very eager to make our photography experiences the best possible. Jess helped my husband and I get over the awkwardness of posing for pictures, while Chris took some of our best shots. Afterward, my husband and I joked that Chris was even more eager to get good pictures than we were; he came to get us for a photo on the balcony at sunset. I was enjoying my drink and not too concerned about pictures, but Chris insisted, and when they posted that sunset photo of me laughing up at Mark on the balcony, my heart just melted. We loved working with Chris and Jess and loved the photos we got back for both the engagement and the wedding! Chris and Jess are so professional, fun, and easy to work with. I loved that they captured so many great candid shots along with the group shots of the bridal party, family, etc. The pictures were everything we wanted... and they were everything we wanted in photographers. Chris & Jess are ROCKSTARS! I cannot give higher praise for the amount of money spent vs. the end result. They are so skilled and dedicated in capturing amazing photos. They were at such a perfect price to fit into our budget. They're flexible and put their couples first in the way they approach photography. The photos were gorgeous, natural looking (without any weird filters), and timeless; there was a simplicity about them that is captivating and the quality is impeccable. By the time the wedding rolled around, after we had our engagement session, we were totally comfortable with the cameras flashing. Chris and his wife, Jess, make an amazing photography team! They were extremely attentive to what we wanted and went unnoticed for the majority of the night. We could not have asked for a better pair and are excited to see the finished photos :-)

Chris and Jess did a fantastic job of making us feel comfortable in front of the lens during both of our engagement shoots and on our big day. They were extremely accommodating and put everyone at ease during the high stress that is the Big Day. They were even willing to bring their very expensive equipment onto the ice to take our engagement shots at the OSU ice rink, which several other photographers were uncomfortable with. On top of all of that, they are extremely affordable (costing MUCH less than what many other photographers do for two shooters). I can’t recommend them enough!

I cannot express how lucky I feel to have had Chris do our engagement and wedding pictures. I have never looked more beautiful than I do in the pictures he took for us. Our one requirement was that he take more candid pictures than the posed. But let me just say, all of the pictures he took were incredible. I was nervous about how the pictures would turn out; so much so that I texted him as we were on the plane for our honeymoon! He told me not to worry, that he got a lot of great pics. Boy, did he ever! In all of our meetings with Chris and Jess, they made us feel comfortable and important. Chris' calm demeanor with Jess' infectious positivity are a great combination. They work together to get the best pictures. Chris brings an air of creativity, and Jess brings the romance. You cannot go wrong with these two. They genuinely want to get great pics and make you happy. Prices are very reasonable; the memories I get to look at every day are worth much more than we could ever pay them. Again, I feel so lucky to have found them. I would book them now, look no further!

My wife and I used Chris Bowman Photography for both our engagement photos as well as the wedding ceremony and reception. I cannot stress how pleased we both were with everything. I would highly recommend Chris Bowman Photography for your special photo shoot! Wedding planning is stressful enough - and we were fortunate to pick vendors that didn't add to the stress, but rather helped to eliminate it whenever possible. Our engagement pictures were a bit more challenging than we had planned. My wife and I had already decided where we wanted our outdoor engagement pics taken - and that we wanted them in the fall to get leaves on the trees, etc. My wife and I both work full time and had side jobs on the weekends - so our options were limited from the start. We had a couple of days that we had set aside - but they wound up being cancelled because of rain (no fault of Chris, of course). As our window of opportunity began to narrow, we began to worry that we would not get the pics we wanted because of the good ol Ohio weather. Imagine our surprise when Chris & Jess offered to work on the morning of Thanksgiving - and we still got to enjoy dinner with our family afterwords! I've never been a subject in a photo shoot (other than the old school yearbook pics) - but Chris & Jess made us feel very comfortable. The poses were quite natural - and the results were truly amazing. When it came time for the wedding, the one thing that i don't remember is Chris being in the way, being a nuisance or asking anyone to re-do anything. My wife and I attended a wedding a month or two after our own and the photographer seemed to be more noticeable than the bride - not cool. The shots that Chris got were breathtaking. Yes, it was our special day, but our reaction was reinforced by friends and family saying the same thing when we shared our photos. Most notably in the pre-ceremony and the in-ceremony shots, it almost seemed like Chris was cloned. How did he get all those? One other thing - 45 minutes before the ceremony, we had to do a last minute change and move the wedding from outdoor to indoor. Chris didn't miss a beat. Chris & Jess not only produce a great product - but they clearly enjoy what they are doing. It shows throughout the day as they go about their work. As newlyweds themselves, they remember what it is like to be on "our side" of the lens, and they do a great job at making everyone feel comfortable. They made my husband and me feel like the most beautiful bride and handsome groom. Nothing was staged or set up. Chris used the natural light and the setting we were in, for the photos. Making his and Jess's work authentic and unique to us. From morning to evening, they snapped the intriqicies of our wedding day, not missing details such as the rain falling off of the tent, a little boy in the pews, the series of pictures showing my reaction when I messed up my vows, and the prayer my husband and I shared together after the wedding. We look back on their pictures and cherish every one as our wedding day seems like a blur but with the pictures we are reminded of all the love from that day. We were so pleased with the finished work. My husband and I cannot thank them enough for all the love, hard work, and joy they brought to our special day. We were so blessed to work with them.
