Chris was great! We LOVE our pictures and can’t seem to figure out which ones to print, they’re all so good! Not only are we happy with the pictures but Chris was so easy to work with. We changed our date a few days before the wedding (hurricane on the beach, not ideal) and he was very accommodating! Thank you so much for being great at what you do and flexibility as we made last minute changes!

I am SO sorry it has taken us a year to write this review! Chris did an absolutely magnificent job capturing our wedding at Willowbend in May 2019. Chris is a pleasure to be around, professional, and we are thrilled with the quality of the photos we received. He captured our day perfectly. We HIGHLY recommend!

My husband and I hired Chris as our photographer for our wedding this past October at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel and we are so happy that we did! Chris was one of the first vendors we booked. His experience as a wedding photographer at many of Cape Cod's best venues was apparent within minutes of first speaking. His professionalism and easy-going personality put both my husband and I immediately at ease. The day of our wedding I felt comfortable around Chris from the moment that he walked into my bridal suite. It felt natural as he worked around my bridesmaids and I as we got ready together, and it shows in his photos. One of my favorite things about his wedding collections is that he captures emotion so candidly and perfectly. Our wedding photos were everything I could have asked for and more. As I stated above, Chris's ability to capture the emotional roller coaster that I and all my loved ones felt throughout the day is overall my absolute favorite part about them.. but the lighting in our photos is a close second. Chris's skills shine as he managed to capture my husband and I in the most romantic and angelic soft lighting after our ceremony- perfect for the emotions we were feeling after taking our vows- and then just minutes later he was able to capture us in a perfect silhouette against the final moments of a sunset on the ocean's horizon. I could go on and on.. To top it all off, if the weather cooperates Chris is very open to and excited to utilize his astronomical photography skills to capture the "perfect" wedding photo. He captured a breathtaking and truly surreal photo of my husband and I on the beach under the night sky of our wedding night- a moment we will always remember (you can even see a shooting start in the background!). I would recommend Chris a thousand times over to any New England bride. He's a very easy decision among the many that a bride has to make, and exceptionally delivers in all things a bride would want in a wedding photographer.

Chris was one of the recommended photographers from my venue, The Dennis Inn. I looked at his photos on instagram and his website and fell in love with the astrophotography. My husband and I booked a meeting with Chris and he was great- showed us examples of his work, went over package details and was just a genuiniely nice person. We decided to go with him right away. We later on decided to add on an engagement session, which was a great way for us to work with Chris before the wedding. Our photos came out great! We were excited to work with him again for our wedding on December 22, 2018, and we were not disappointed. Our photos came back even quicker than I expected, and they were beautiful and really captured the day. Best of all, we got a photo with the stars! My husband and I got married in Chatham this past September and we could not be happier with our photos! Chris listens to what you want from a photographer and delivers. Chris clearly knows the cape very well and offered unique and creative photo ideas that we will cherish forever. Your wedding is only one day, your photos are forever. Chris came recommended by my venue and he was my brother's photographer at his wedding too. He did not disappoint! Chris was very professional and great to work with! We had phone calls and emails to plan everything out and he was very approachable. On the day of, he came early and he and his assistant were very detail oriented and got all of the family shots that we asked for. He was flexible and let us customize our package, which was great. We got great pre-wedding, during wedding and post-wedding family shots and sunset shots after our big day. When the photos came back to us, I couldn't have been any happier! They are absolutely stunning! I absolutely recommend him.

Chris was absolutely amazing and so easy to work with! He took our engagement shots in early fall 2017, and recommended the most gorgeous beach for the shoot at sunset- jetty, sand dunes, beautiful shoreline! We were SO excited to have Chris shoot our August 2018 Chatham wedding after seeing all the GORGEOUS proofs from the e-shoot. His attention to detail and ability to really show our personalities in the photographs is such a key reason why we chose Chris. We also absolutely fell in love with his night shots too- he was able to steal us away from our wedding reception for a few moments to take a stunning night shot on the beach. He also brought a wonderful second shooter who was incredibly talented as well- she was even nice enough to get us a glass of water when we were shooting portraits! Chris did an absolutely fantastic job with our wedding photos. His assistants were great too and he worked very well with our videographer. He had some very creative shots which turned out to be truly one of a kind. I'm so happy we chose Chris - definitely one of the better decisions of the weekend!

Chris just did the photos for our 9/17/17 wedding and was unbelievable. We had found him on Facebook a few years back and were blown away by his night work so knew we wanted him for our wedding. Sadly it was cloudy on our wedding day so no night shot BUT the rest of the photos are amazing. He has a fun personality but is professional at the same time! Chris is amazing. Not only does he take great photos of people, he's also an astronomy photographer. That means he can take fantastic pictures of people against the sunset or a starry sky and not miss any details of either. My husband and I shared our photo of us standing against the star-filled sky, and it knocked our family and friends' socks off. We highly recommend him!

It was our pleasure to have Chris and his assistant photographing our wedding! Also, we had our engagement session with him too. That’s not all, he photographed a morning of golf on our wedding day as well. All of this left us with a story book of our amazing experience. Chris worked hard for us yet, made it seem effortless. Neither my husband or I are comfortable in front of the camera however, Chris put us at ease immediately. He guided us from beginning to end. Whether it was adjusting facial expressions or asking for a bigger smile or using a more creative pose. One thing that stood out was Chris's process. He took the time to get all of the wedding details down in advance which, took a lot of stress off of me. He was on time and on point and kept us on track too. No detail was overlooked. Chris always kept in touch before and after the wedding. Moreover, our photos are beyond beautiful. We have fun candid shots and gorgeous details shots as well. It's also important to know that he worked well with all of our other vendors (especially our videographer). Chris is a true professional and we couldn't imagine the day without him. You will be one lucky bride if you get him for your wedding too. I think it would be fun to have a photo session on our first anniversary with our dogs too!

Chris Cook and his assistant made taking wedding pictures so easy and relaxed! After seeing his awesome nighttime pictures and meeting him in person, we were very confident in choosing him! He gave us free range, but also got some really great "in the moment" shots. He is a real artist the way he uses light and the natural surroundings. We can't wait to go back to the Cape in a few years and have him take a nighttime pic of us!

Chris Cook did an incredible job of capturing our special day in a series of photographs! All the advice I received ahead of the wedding was true-the day goes by in a blink and you have limited time to spend with all your guests. Chris Cook provided a valuable solution to this unsolvable problem: a comprehensive story line of pictures that retold the main events as well as the many special candid moments that we-as the bride and groom-weren’t always present to witness. Chris’ chill personality kept things relaxed and comfortable and his experience and talent kept him on task. He worked like a stealth, positioning himself in the right spot at all the right moments, without making things feel staged or uncomfortable. Chris was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I got married just over 2 weeks ago and already have our pictures! They came out stunning and we are SO happy with them. We began with an engagement session last fall, and from the beginning Chris made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. On our wedding day, I barely even noticed he was there unless we were taking portraits. He captured every detail without us skipping a beat, and was just a pleasure in general to work with. Chris is great! He truly captured our whole wedding from start to finish. The photos came out amazing and looking at them all lets us relive the day over and over. My husband and I loved working with Chris!! He was super friendly, fun and very responsive! Our first experience with him was during our E-session with our crazy dog Rebel. It was freezing cold and snowing and Rebel was being less than cooperative but Chris still managed to have a smile on his face and capture amazing shots! On our wedding day, Chris was relaxed (which made me feel relaxed) and made everyone laugh. We had so much fun and our pictures came out absolutely beautiful. Would recommend Chris to anyone!

I do not live on the cape, so the days we spent selecting vendors were extremely long. Chris was the last appointment of one of the long days. I was tired and over wedding planning. Chris made the appointment so easy. He didn’t give a long speech trying to sell himself. He asked about the wedding and we discussed what we wanted from a photographer. We looked at photos he had taken from other weddings. He made the wedding planning process easy. He came for the cocktail hour of our rehearsal dinner. I am so happy to have so many great photos from the rehearsal dinner. The sunset was perfect. He took great pictures of the wedding party and family members, as well as, many candid shots. On the wedding day, Chris and his assistant arrived early and ready to work. He photographed the wedding party getting ready. He was not in the way at all, but still got great shots. The pictures from the wedding ceremony are amazing. After the wedding, he took great photos of the wedding party and family. At the reception Chris asked us if we could go outside after dinner for a quick photo. We coordinated with the venue to have a golf cart ready to bring us to the beach. He had us walk out on the jetty. It was pretty dark out. His assistant stood behind us with a flash. I had no clue what the photos would actually look like, when we were done he showed us the photos on his camera. I have never seen a more beautiful photo! It was the best picture I have ever seen. Just take a look at his website, the photos say it all!

We really loved working with Chris from the first phone call. What else can you ask for right? I stressed about balancing "great photos" with a "great price" and Chris was really that perfect answer. We met him in person at our e-shoot and he immediately felt like someone we knew - he put us both at ease and made the day fun! He has a great eye and we immediately trusted him. Throughout planning he was helpful and kept us on track without adding stress to the process. Day of he showed up and couldn't have been more perfect! Again he just felt like one of our friends - hanging out, joking with the bridesmaids, and accommodating any requests that my mom threw at him. He was there for all the important moments but didn't insert himself into the day or any of our special times. We happily ran out the golf course with him for another great shot here and there when he felt the lighting was right or a great idea came to him. Absolutely professional, remarkably kind and friendly, and able to capture every moment without being a "presence" everywhere. Chris captured my Dad's first sight of me in my wedding dress beautifully (I didn't even know he was there). He has a talent for photographing people at the perfect moment. We had a beautiful beach ceremony and a really fun reception (including lawn games), Chris took it all in and captured our fun, the details we put in to the wedding, and our smiles and reactions. My husband and I are very relaxed people and didn't give him specific queues after the ceremony, so I was excited to see the photos of our family and friends enjoying the wedding. His talent and experience shows in his photos. In particular, I will always cherish the photo of my Dad hugging me after seeing me in my mom's old wedding gown for the first time and my husband & I walking down the aisle as newly weds. Chris was the best choice for my husband and I. He is super low-key and go with the flow. Chris was so fun to work with and I loved watching him laugh and smile at his own photo ops that he was creating. You could see and feel the passion that he has for his work. I felt like I had known Chris for years and that he was a friend just snapping photos. We have only see a few of our photos and I am already so happy and so is my husband. Chris was amazing! He had such a relaxed and fun personality that made it so easy and enjoyable to work with him! He was super professional and provided really helpful feedback throughout the wedding. I could tell from the moment we met him that we wanted him to be our photographer!!! This is all before we even saw our pictures! They were amazing - not too formal or posed (as we had requested) but told a beautiful and playful story. He definitely had an amazing was of capturing the nuances of the day - the giggles, the nervousness, the excitement, the fun, etc. The problem we're facing is which ones to frame without covering every inch of our apt walls with our wedding pictures! Chris was amazing! I can not recommend him enough!! He worked with us to find a package in our budget and really went above and beyond. We got married at the Cape, but planned the wedding from VA- he was very flexible and accommodating. He met us in Boston since I was dying to surprise my now husband with some pictures at fenway since he loves the sox, and the pictures came out so cool, I've had strangers comment on how awesome they are... For the wedding, Chris showed up early, somehow managed to get the zillion pictures I had asked for (he even had the picture ideas I had emailed him, that day to make sure we got the pictures perfect), and didn't pull me away from friends to get pictures. The pictures came out great!! They were fun and natural! What made him stand out the most though, was that a friend decided to give us an extra hour of photography as our wedding present since we had not originally planned to have pics after cake cutting (very cool present if you're looking for ideas btw), she asked him and without hesitation he stayed an extra hour!!! Super flexible, I'd give him 6 stars I could!!

Christ is a true artist, with a great eye for the perfect shot! On our wedding day it rained throughout the morning, and through our ceremony but finally broke right before we left the church! He got the fun shots with the umbrellas, and the gorgeous ones of my husband and I in front of a spectacular sunset. His true understanding of lighting and angles led to our receiving hundreds of prints that we love, and at least 30 that we can't leave out of our 'favorite' group! He is professional, relaxed, and easy-going... a pleasure to work with, particularly if you're a busy/stressed bride taking the lead in planning your wedding! We also enjoyed having an engagement photo shoot with him prior to our big day, and loved using the shots for our Save-the-Date magnets! Highly recommend!!!!

Chris and his assistant, Charlie, were both fantastic. They got so many great shots of us and the best part was that we didn't even realize they were taking them! Even our guests mentioned they didn't notice the photographers - which is great b/c there is nothing worse than an intrusive photographer, especially during a ceremony. We got our photos back so quickly and have so many great shots. We feel they really captured our day. They showed up on time and were familiar with our venue which helped a lot! They knew exactly where to go for the best shots. I would recommend Chris Cook photography for any wedding!

Choosing Chris was probably one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We were looking for someone that was professional but fun and creative and we found Chris! Chris was very easy going and super relaxed on our wedding day. He was super creative and made sure to capture some of the best moments of our wedding day. I absolutely love how myself as well as our guests don't really remember seeing him around or "in the way" but yet he still made sure to capture the best moments of that day! His prices are also very doable and honestly, you get what you pay and it is worth every single dollar. Not only did he take amazing pictures that day, but he also took one of the most gorgeous pictures of my husband and I on the beach with a sky full of stars and Vineyard Sound in the background! It's just breathtaking. He, as well as his sweet assistant definitely go out of their way to make memories for you and all your loved ones and guests!
