Chris was INCREDIBLE!! My husband is NOT the picture taking type, but Chris and his team made everyone so comfortable, we have the BEST shots from our special night! He was so creative and worked with our family so well. Never intrusive, but there to capture every moment. I would recommend Chris a thousand times over!! Seriously. Our photos were in People Magazine and we got SO MANY compliments… he’s 12/10!

Chris was the first vendor I ever followed on social media after my engagement. I immediately knew that I wanted to use him for my wedding. With all the stressors of planning a wedding, I was never once stressed about the photography because I had so much confidence in his work. When the wedding day came, I found out that I was more than correct! He was so cool, calming, and confident on the day of. Our guests asked about him because they wanted to follow him and be friends with him lol. Our family members commented on how great he was. He was a hit all around. Once we started seeing his preview shots we immediately knew our decision was the right one. Looking at our full album makes me so incredibly happy. When planning our wedding, choosing the right photographer was one of the most important decisions for us and I can't tell you how happy we are that we chose Chris! He has the most incredible energy that is professional, yet so much fun, and puts everyone at ease from the second you meet him. After working with him for 5 minutes, my husband and I both felt like he had been a friends for years! From our initial phone conversation all the way to the last minute of our wedding night, it was so apparent how much Chris genuinely cared about capturing all the important moments of our wedding weekend. Chris arrived to our location in Vail, CO days early to scout all the best locations for a variety of photos and he did not disappoint-- They are nothing short of breathtaking and we are completely obsessed with every single shot! When the weather wasn't cooperating, he was completely flexible with schedule changes and went above and beyond to ensure I got the outdoor, mountain photos I so desperately wanted. He was able to capture all of the emotions of the weekend with beautiful candids but also orchestrate editorial-like photos without making us feel posed or corny in any way. He was so positive, organized, fast, and fun, and as a result, he was able to bring out the best sides of us, our families, and our wedding parties. And to top it all off, we received an incredible preview gallery (with hundreds of photos!) just two days after our wedding and the full gallery in record time. If you have the opportunity to work with Chris, RUN don't walk to hire him, you won't regret it!

I'm not a person who writes reviews on a regular basis, but our daughter's wedding was so special that I just had to let everyone searching for a wedding photographer know how AMAZING Chris is. I wish I could post everyone of the pictures he took, but there isn't enough space for that! Chris is truly an artistic genius. He captured each and every moment with creativity and perfection. Chris made everyone feel at ease especially my daughter and son-in-law. He was great with our 2 1/2 year old grandson and was able to capture the most amazing pictures of him that I will always cherish. He was so professional, yet playful in a way that made everyone feel comfortable and have fun. Everyone always dreads doing the family pics after the ceremony because they don't want to miss the party. Chris was so organized, he photographed both family in a timely manner so that the bride and groom could enjoy the last portion of the cocktail party. The twilight pictures were just over the top! We couldn't believe how fast we got the previews and the entire gallery. I can't recommend Chris enough. You won't regret your decision. He was worth every penny and more!

We couldn't have asked for a better photographer...PERIOD. Although this review is long overdue since my wife and I were married in January of 2020, I wanted to write it when I could focus because it deserves my full attention. PRE-WEDDING From the beginning, he was very attentive, asked a lot of good questions, and I could tell he really wanted to know what our vision was for our photos and who we wanted extra shots of such as parents and best friends. Also, I could tell he reinvested his money in his business because of his quality website and client portal. It was easy to navigate, and tracked every conversation we had for transparency and no misunderstandings. "Sometimes the little things make the biggest differences." WEDDING DAY We were nervous because we didn't have time to do any practice shots with Chris (which was highly recommended from friends) such as take our engagement photos, so our wedding day was the first time we ever met him in person but he just jumped right as though we had been friends forever and worked his magic. Not sure if he remembers, but when I first arrived at the venue and met Chris in person for the first time, the wind was blowing extremely hard and I was freaking out because of the weather in Lahaina that afternoon. I asked him, "Are we gonna be ok?" Without hesitation he said "it's gonna be fine and you will have a beautiful wedding." Throughout the wedding, he showed excellent leadership skills by helping us stay organized, timely, calm, and focused on taking things in so we could cherish the moments but also allowing us time to mingle with our guests. It almost felt like Chris could have also been our wedding coordinator since he was so competent. Everyone just loved Chris because of his fun and vibrant personality. CONCLUSION Chris delivered our photos faster than anticipated and I kid you not, we just loved every single shot; therefore, it's so hard to make our wedding album because we want ALL the photos in there. Overall, his personality won us over, his talent made our wedding day fun, memorable, and timeless. Chris exceeded our expectations in every way and I would recommend him and his amazing team, a thousand times over. He's not just a world class photographer, but honored to call him our new friend.

We hired Chris for my daughter's wedding the end of July, 2020. This was the third wedding planned and we were exhausted with all the changes because of this crazy time. Chris was recommended to us and after my daughter and I reviewed his exceptional work...we knew he would be perfect! We met Chris on the wedding day and immediately felt comfortable and in good hands. He was so personable, professional and so nice. Chris helped make the wedding day perfect. But the real proof has been in the preview pictures we received recently and the amazing video. We were blown away how he captured the essence of our small, intimate wedding on the beach in Santa Barbara. Chris' work is not typical...he is a true artist through his shots of the couple and family....candid shots of sheer happiness and the beauty of Santa Barbara beach. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone who would like a true artist capturing their wedding!

The video Chris created was truly magical. It captured the feeling and emotion... I don't know how you can but he did! He was SO great the day of the wedding. Made everyone feel so comfortable and made it fun! I am SO impressed with Chris and would recommend him 1,000,000 times over! Made the perfect day more perfect!

We’ve had such an amazing experience with Chris! The moment we met him, we knew he was going to exceed our expectations. We just recently shot our engagement session with him, and let me just say- it was the most fun and adventurous time we’ve had in a long time. We had our destination wedding just a week ago on Maui, we were a bit nervous prior to it because everything was planned remotely, but it turned out beyond perfect. Thanks to Chris, who is extremely professional and his entire crew were super friendly to work with and chill with all the guests. Chris reached out before our trip to chat about the vibe we were looking for. On the day of, Chris and his team arrived punctually, started shooting the dresses, rings and the venue while we were getting ready, then the whole day went very organized just as we’ve discussed before and efficient; there’s nothing more important than that, because we did have a tight timeline and we wished to capture the most of our big day. We wanted someone with experience photographing at our venue Haiku mill and Chris is exactly who we looked for. He is very talented with unique ideas of where to take shots and in combination of lighting at different times of the day, we got many shots that are both sweet and elegant which fits the venue very well. His night shots are also magnificant, I wish we could have more night portraits. My husband and I are not the most photogenic couple, but Chris made us comfortable in front of the camera and guided us with poses that were simple for us yet with great angles, we got some very stylish and fashioned shots like cover photos. The preview of pictures were ready before the end of our trip so we could share with our family and friends immediatly after the wedding. We were lucky to have Chris to be our memory keeper, the day was productive with photography and filming, not one minute wasted. I would recommend him to anyone who looks for creativity, artistic style and a special experience. We can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures and video.

Chris exceeded all our expectations. After carefully reviewing several possibilities we chose Chris to shoot both photography and video for our wedding at Haiku Mill. We were not disappointed. Our initial decision was based on his previous work, he seemed creative and interesting, more than just capturing the same old the pictures we are all accustomed to. We are not the most photogenic and thought we might require his direction, I’m honestly never again going to look as good as I do in one of Chris’ pictures. And while he certainly fulfilled all expectations and criteria for which we had selected him, my recommendation for Chris goes beyond this. Your wedding is a special day and photography/videography should be chosen with that in mind, it is one of the most important decisions you will make for your wedding. Chris really insisted to meet us before the actual day, he wanted to get a chance to know us. He is really a people person, and while professionally he is amazing, what really sets him apart is his ability to blend into your day, to connect with bride, groom, wedding party, all guests and to really make your day special. I just don’t think you are going to get that type of feeling with all photographers, it’s not just business with Chris, he wants to make sure it’s one of the most memorable days of your life and you can tell he feels personally responsible in that. He won’t let you down. He showed up early, brought an outstanding crew, shot longer than he was supposed to, had a detailed plan and timeline of pictures we could take and delivered more preview pics in a faster time frame than he promised. Thank you very much Chris for helping make Sep 18th such a special day for us, memories to last a lifetime. Can’t wait to get the videos and full gallery.

Words cannot express how appreciative and thankful we are to have had Chris photograph our wedding in Maui. His portfolio, filled with high-fashion, dramatic shots, caught our eye from the beginning. Chris is incredibly original in his style. He is engaging and professional, making for a very easy-going and fun experience. We are not the most comfortable couple in front of a camera, but Chris was able to create an environment where we were both relaxed. His work speaks for itself – the effects he achieves with strategic positioning and lighting are breathtaking, and look effortless. You can tell how experienced Chris is by how well he can blend right into the event. When we were finished taking sunset shots, we hardly notice he was still there, getting great material well through the night. Besides how easy Chris made the actual wedding day for us, we greatly appreciated that in less than a week he had an entire preview package with a ton of shots for us to see and share with our friends and family. Since our wedding was far from home, all of our friends and family who were unable to make it have been able to feel as though they were there through Chris’s photographs. All of his work has brought so much love and happiness back home. We honestly can say there were no drawbacks in working with Chris and would recommend him to anyone seeking a very professional and uniquely creative photographer for any event.

Chris photographed our wedding in Maui in September 2018. Chris is best in the industry and surely the best in Maui! My wife wanted specific style of photography and I wanted another style and Chris was able to deliver to both of our tastes and styles. I really enjoy Chris' editorial shots and we got some amazing dramatic shots while my wife liked the simple and elegant shots that Chris delivered. Chris was AWESOME and AMAZING! He's the ultimate professional. Truthfully, at first we were worried because Chris' price is top tier, but we got better photos than we can ever have dreamed of. My fiance and I had a destination engagement shoot with Chris while we were vacationing in Maui. From the very beginning, Chris was really easy to work with. He arranged a brief phone call before our trip to make sure everyone was on the same page about our expectations and what we were looking for. Chris definitely has a creative edge. We were so impressed that we decided to hire him for our wedding in California. Chris was kind enough to waive the travel fee for us, which again says so much about his professionalism and passion for his work. Chris is marvelous to work with. You can tell that his skills and process are flawless, and he quickly gets the shots you need to commemorate your moments forever. Just as important is the fact that he and his team actually earnestly really enjoy working with happy couples at weddings - it's not just another job for them! They care, and they know how much we care, and that makes an enormous difference when something so important is being preserved. He's also really good at getting the folks to smile, to organize for shots, and to get where they need to be for the light. Finally, he was wonderful in getting a wedding video re-cut same day for my mother in law, and sent a print to her family outside of his scope of costs. I can't recommend him highly enough!

I found Chris almost instantly on social media and knew he was what I wanted. I believe he doesn’t compare to anyone else on the island when it comes to beach photography. From the moment I first reached out, he was extremely accommodating and helpful, not only with what he includes in his packages, but even when it came to ideas of locations and other vendors. We arrived to the location (a little late- whoops) and he and his assistant started right away. Chris caught me before walking down to explain what he wanted to capture in the first look and made sure my hubby was in place and positioned around the corner of the beach. He shot through our vow exchange and then made sure we got right to it before the sun went down. THIS GUY KNOWS WHAT HE’S DOING! I’m not the easiest to photograph in my opinion, but he made us feel so comfortable. He knew the beach very well and captured angles I would have never thought of. He is very professional but also kept us laughing and engaged with the party the whole time. When it comes to a photographer during our elopement, my husband was hesitant and didn’t really understand the need or my want. In the middle of our session, he looked at me and goes, “I’m so glad we did this and I’m so glad we went with him!” Chris has the 5 star rating for a reason! He is everything you could ever imagine a good photographer could be!

Planning a wedding from afar is always a challenge and anxious experience but when you work with the perfect vendors it becomes a dream. I'm originally from Oahu, Hawaii but now living in Los Angeles, California. The decision to get married back in the islands was an easy one for us. We picked all of our vendors without meeting them in person and after doing our research we truly fell in love with Chris's artistic style. The fact that he was so comfortable to work with was just the icing on the cake. My now Husband and I are not used to being photographed and probably extremely awkward in front of the camera but Chris truly made it fun an easy for us. Chris was absolutely fantastic! Both my husband (also Chris) and I had so much fun working with him! A direct quote from my husband “if he’s not a five star, than I don’t know what is.” Chris had amazing suggestions for us throughout the day including a stop on the way from the Haiku Mill back to the reception at our hotel to capture some breathtaking pictures on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Both my husband Chris and I feel thoroughly enjoyed working with Chris and his team. Everything that I’ve seen so far has been nothing short of fantastic! We’ve had multiple people comment that they need to be on the cover of a magazine. Chris is the real deal, we really could not have hoped for anything better as such a special day was captured for us!

I do not think there are enough words to describe how incredible Chris and his team were for our elopement wedding. It was just my husband, my son, and myself on this beautiful getaway. Chris did such an amazing job and made us feel so comfortable from the moment we finally met face to face. He not only communicated wonderfully with me via email and phone calls, he also helped us determine the best package for our big day (went from a 90 person wedding ceremony to an elopement). He was super flexible with us changing our wedding date from September to April as well. My husband and I were nervous about the pictures. How do we pose? Chris gave us all the direction we needed and made the entire experience so fun. We have a mixture of candids and posed portraits. Incredible pictures of my son. He even snuck in a few maternity shots for me, as we are expecting, and they turned out so beautiful. We recommend him to our friends and family and will hopefully be able to persuade him to come to WA for our real maternity photos! When our wedding planner sent us some photographers that they recommend due to quality and experiences they and couples have had with them, I was immediately drawn to Chris and had no hesitations that he was our guy. And we were not disappointed! We loved working with Chris and his team. They went above and beyond to make the most magical photographs that we've ever seen. As a groom I was not involved in the early stages of planning. My now wife however assured me of how great Chris was to work with. After meeting Chris and the crew on our wedding day I saw why. I am in the hospitality industry and will tell you that not only were we treated like friends and with respect, but given a top notch product and experience. I have never looked at better photos!

I was married in Maui in January and Chris is hands down the BEST photographer I have ever seen. His vision and the pictures he captures is truly remarkable. I personally hate getting my picture taken but Chris and his team actually made it FUN and you sort of forgot you were even taking pictures. The pictures themselves were like nothing I've ever seen before, all of them are my favorites and get SO many compliments from family/friends that see them. i will be back in Maui in the future and will most definitely use Chris J. Evans Photography for any future photography needs! If you want someone to perfectly capture your big day, he's your guy!

We are glad we had the opportunity to work with Chris Evans and his wonderful team. Our first photographer was unable to do our wedding and Chris not only became our new photographer on a short notice but accommodated/honored the quote we were originally going to pay for the 1st photographer. Initially, our schedules almost didn't work out but Chris was so accommodating and we are exuberant to have him as our engagement and wedding photographer! His artistic style took my breath away, I knew immediately he would be the photographer for us. Look through his sunset/night photos and you will see how he is just a master of light, his works speaks like a Rembrandt painting. However, the breadth of his skill goes above and beyond these magical night photos. My fiance and I thought it would be fun to do something different than a beach shoot for our engagement and Chris suggested an "enchanted forest" in the beautiful Makawao Upcountry. Chris and his assistant Nick made us feel comfortable and the shoot was loads of fun. Even my fiance who was usually camera shy had a great time (Chris initially said he'd be feeling like James Bond in no time and he did! :) A few days after the shoot Chris sent out the first round of photos. They were beautiful and magical! They're not over stylized and they're a great mix of whimsical and romantic without being over the top. Could easily have been in any top fashion magazine shoot but it still captured the essence of us. Chris Evans is unparalleled in his artistry, skill, creativity, professionalism as a wedding photographer. The best thing is his humility and overall fun and awesome personality. My girlfriend and I recently modeled with Chris for a styled shoot at a Maui hotel. He was as professional as one could be, full of energy, and he made it fun! The shoot was painless and we didn't want it to end. Chris made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera, and we will definitely be hiring him in the future for our wedding. Our photos were delivered way sooner than expected, and they were STUNNING. We never knew we could look that good. Chris and his assistant Nick made our engagement shoot session experience magical! When I was given a list of photographers, Chris was my #1 choice no doubt, but I was nervous because seeing his pictures I was thinking how would he make us look that good? And wow did he go beyond my expectations. Chris has such great energy, passion, and professionalism. Our experience with Chris Evans was nothing short of magical! I had some ideas going into it and he was able to react and make it happen in the mist of chaos and two hurricanes!!!
