Chris Kruger Wedding Photographer

Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience with CKP. We originally met with Chris over Zoom, and expressed that we were looking for a photographer that would shoot our photos "true to color" as we weren't fans of the current "light and airy" trend. He reassured us that the photos would have a classic look and wouldn't be overexposed. We really enjoyed our chat with him and felt confident he understood our vision, so we went ahead and booked him. Fast forward a year or so, and we booked our engagement shoot with them a couple months before the wedding (neither of us live in Charlotte so we couldn't do it sooner). Kerri ended up being the one to take our photos. We were sort of surprised because we had never met her before and were under the impression that Chris would be our photographer, but the session went well and our photos turned out good so we were okay with it. On the day of our wedding, Kerri was again our photographer with another assistant. Kerri was sort of withdrawn and unfriendly, but I thought maybe she was just focused or having a bad day. But unfortunately, she also didn't seem very well prepared. I would ask her where we were going to take our wedding party photos or family portraits and she didn't have a plan. Maybe I should have figured that out in advance, but I figured part of her job as photographer was to have a "vision" and find places with good lighting and background, since I didn't know how they would come out in pictures. Either way, it added stress and threw our schedule off on the day of the wedding, which was not ideal. Additionally, I didn't feel like she made an effort to ensure the photos would actually turn out GOOD. She didn't fix hair or dresses, etc. The only bridal portrait I have, my hair is in my face. And for all our family portraits, my dress is all bunched up. I know she can't fix everything, but I wish she would have paid a bit more addition to detail. Finally, the biggest issue, was when our pictures came back, they were SO over exposed. I literally cried when I opened our portfolio and couldn't bring myself to look at half of them because I was so upset. I hated to be difficult, but my friends and family encouraged me to reach out because we had specifically asked for photos that were true to color. When I met with Kerri, she was clearly annoyed and very dismissive, constantly, saying, "You're sure you want it like THIS?" It was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've ever been through. In the end, she did edit our photos and they look much better. But the whole experience really put a sour taste in my mouth. It's taken my months to be able to go through them and post some to social media. With some time, the photos are growing on me and she did a good job capturing all the elements, which is why I gave her 2 stars. But I can't say that I would use CKP again or recommend them to a friend. Looking through the comments, it seems like they work great as a pair, and I'm sure that's the case. So if you do want to use this photographer, maybe make sure that's discussed!

The BEST around! Chris and Kerri Kruger captured everything perfectly from our wedding day. From the portraits to the candid's, they all came out flawless. We were among the COVID-19 wedding postponements and in that time, Chris and Kerri moved out of the state. They worked with us when we rebooked and made the trip to the Florida Keys to make sure our day was documented. Aside from timely responsiveness and professionalism, Chris and Kerri are a pleasure to work with. From the moment we met them, we felt like we've been friends forever. They really know the wedding business, how to work with other vendors and staying on schedule. They spent time scoping out the best photo locations and took my suggestions on a few spots. Thank you both for making the trip down to the Keys. We are so happy with the photos came out! For anyone reading this review...hire them now! You won't be disappointed!

My fiance and I hired Chris for our engagement photos and we could not have been happier with the session and the results. Chris made for such a fun and comfortable engagement photo shoot. His knowledge of photography is incredible, too. I highly recommend Chris Kruger photography for your wedding photographer! You will not be disappointed. They came highly recommended by my cousin who hired them for their wedding and after about 4 years they still rave about their photos and experience with Chris and Kerri. Our experience with them started out with a facetime meeting with both Chris and Kerri, which was great because we got to know them and feel comfortable with them. Kerri did our engagement photos and she helped style and pose the photos and they came out beautiful! I think it takes a real professional to know how to set up a photo and these two certainly know how to do it. Chris did our wedding photography. He was timely, efficient, and very discrete, which is great because the last thing you want on your wedding day is to feel like you missed out on everything because you spent the entire night posing for photos. We had a Catholic church wedding and he was respectful and mindful not to be in the sight of our guests. In fact, many of our relatives said they never even saw him taking pictures! This allowed us to maintain an intimate feel at our wedding. The turn around time on the wedding photos was less than a month and they came out above our expectations! He captured every moment and they are timeless and elegant! You have a lot of options when it comes to wedding photographers, but if you hire Chris and Kerri you can feel comfortable you have true professionals.

We were so thrilled to find Chris Kruger Photography! We had Kerri for both our engagement photos and wedding and were thrilled to work with her! She is professional and so good at what she does! She paid close attention to detail, which we greatly appreciated! The turn around for our images was so quick too for peak season. We were so happy with how all of our photos turned out. We would highly recommend them and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Let me start off by saying I spent a long time researching wedding photographers in our area. The market is profusely over saturated, with trends of either heavily artificially bright photos to dark moody photos. I was overwhelmed until I came across CKP. His photos are the perfect blend.... timeless and elegant, and I was thrilled he was available for our date! From the first conversation, I knew he was our guy... but even Chris told me I should talk to different photogs (he isn't a pushy overseller). I actually did talk to other photogs, but I still told him immediately after our call we were booking him.. and we did LOL! Not one conversation came even close to the one we had with Chris. Even though we haven't shot our wedding yet, we just had our engagement session done. Let me tell you, working with Chris has been a dream already! My fiance and I aren't extremely creative, but it really didn't matter AT ALL! We happily gave Chris complete creative direction and he blew it out of the water. The engagement photos crushed our expectations, which were set very high after seeing the awesome work in their portfolio. Beyond that, Chris was SO EASY to work with from the very start. He is, friendly, helpful, professional, punctual, and funny. For 2 people who have never had professional photos taken, I was worried it would feel awkward and artificial and that any discomfort we might feel would translate into photos. NOPE! I was even more worried when the morning of our outdoor engagement shoot, it was down pouring, and, once it finally cleared up and it was time for photos.... 10-15mph wind gusts! Well... Chris didn't miss a beat. He didn't get flustered despite the elements and the pictures are phenomenal! We also had our engagement session done smack dab in the middle of wedding season, and the turn around time to get our pictures back .. unheard of. So fast. I will gladly update you all on the wedding photos but I had to share this experience thus far.

Chris was absolutely incredible. From the moment he arrived he had a plan and worked promptly to stay on schedule and get everything done on time. He made everyone feel comfortable and has a natural talent for what he does. My entire family and wedding party continues to talk about how amazing he was!!! We LOVED having Chris and Kerri photograph our wedding! We can't sing their praises enough! The photographer was one thing I knew I wanted to spend money on, but I also had a budget to stick to. You don't have to blow your budget to get a phenomenal photographer - insert Chris and Kerri - seriously book them now! Chris did our engagement session and let us include our pup which I'm so grateful for! He was able to get my now husband to relax and just be himself (jokes and all!) which ended up making for a fun and hilarious engagement session. I'm obsessed with our engagement photos and can't wait to get our wedding photos! Having them do our engagement photos helped for our wedding day because the relationship was already there and Chris knew exactly how to get us to laugh and again, just be ourselves. He also took the photos we loved from our engagement photos to know what we were looking for in our wedding photos. They are so natural and candid. Kerri and Chris work so well together knowing which shots to get and just feed off each other. They both just jump in and help where it's needed (holding your bouquet, fixing the broken boutonnieres, making sure the groomsmen were all doing the same pose, etc.). I loved that they were detail oriented because those little things matter to me so much! We ended up bringing my dog again to our first look photos and while I was getting ready which again I'm so grateful they were willing to take photos with us and my dog. Chris and Kerri would even jump in and take group photos of our friends, got on the dance floor and felt more like welcomed guests than a vendor. They even worked well with our videographer. Some other things I was looking for as a bride when I was looking for a photographer that Chris and Kerri offer: engagement session was included with our wedding package, we have full rights to all of our photos, all of our photos come in color and black and white, they provide you with an online gallery that's easy to share with friends and family, natural light photos, not all posed, and probably a super minor thing but something I loved - they don't have a watermark/logo on their photos.

Chris and Kerri are the perfect wedding photographers. In addition to the pictures coming out AMAZING, they made our wedding day stress free. They do all of the little things to make your big day run smoothly. Chris even tied my bow tie for me. Do yourself a favor and hire Chris Kruger Photography, you won’t be disappointed.

Chris and Kerri are absolutely amazing at what they do! They make an incredible husband and wife team. I LOVE CHRIS KRUGER PHOTOGRAPHY!!!!! Chris and his wife Kerri are absolutely incredible. They have such an eye for amazing photos and they are such a pleasure to work with. From my engagement photos to the day of photos they are incredible. I have not received my wedding day of photos yet but judging form their work from my engagement photos I know they captured amazing pictures. We had such a fun time with them getting ready and taking photos all over PGA National. I would recommend them to everyone a million times over again!

We had a very small courthouse wedding. We knew right away that pictures were very important to us and wanted to pick the right photographer for the job. Since it was so small, we only needed one photographer and I have to say Kerri did an incredible job! She was very patient and very helpful. Every single person that has seen the pictures has told us how amazing they are and I have to agree! I will cherish these photos for the rest of my life and could not thank Kerri enough for coming out and taking them for us! I cannot say enough nice and positive things about Chris & Kerri. They did the photography for our New Years Eve wedding and were amazing (we cannot wait to get the pictures). My wife and I were very worried about staying on time for all the pre-wedding photos but Chris+Kerri were amazing. Not only did they keep us on time, but they worked in enough time where we could relax for a little while (which was needed). Chris was also amazing in helping make sure my bow-tie looked perfect! Just seeing how the two of them worked, and how they had the vision and knowledge of where to take and how to have you pose was amazing. They also did a great job in communicating it! Kerri was our photographer for our small Ft. Myers/Naples wedding, and she was just awesome! She took care of things outstandingly, and she made it easy and fun to pose, when we had to. We received our photos at the promised time and my husband and I cannot thank the Krugers enough for making the whole process so smooth and well planned (from the booking to the online gallery), and for the mind-blowing job done on the photos!! The value for Chris' work is beyond what one can imagine. My husband found CKP online and fell in love with his work. When I looked Chris up on TheKnot and Wedding Wire, he had only good reviews, so we hired him. Chris was AMAZING to work with. He has great ideas, and was also open to recreating some silly pictures I found on Pinterest. He was also fun to be around. You may not realize it now, but this REALLY matters. You will be spending a lot of time with your wedding photographer, so you better like him/her. We loved Chris. He was so funny, he will crawl around in crazy positions to get the best shot, and the pictures are amazing. If you are someone who likes super-edited photos, Chris is not for you. But if you want photos that reflect your day as it actually looked and felt, Chris is your man.

My Miami destination wedding was on 03/21/15 at the zoological park Jungle Island and I can not say enough good things about Chris and Kerri! As part of our package we received a complimentary engagement shoot that I originally intended to skip. My partner Matt and I aren't fans of having our photos taken but with some encouragement from others we decided to take up a short shoot with Chris while we were in town in October 2014. Chris was funny, personable and really set us both at ease. His directions on placement and positioning were fantastic. Matt and I both walked away from the shoot feeling good about it and having had a great deal of fun. The photos we promptly received a few days later were stunning. My favorite of the bunch being a candid one Chris snuck in while we were goofing around. In the days leading up to the wedding Chris and Kerri kept in communication and even provided us with a form to make sure all our photo wants in the way of formal family portraits were logged ahead of time. On the day of they arrived precisely on time and Chris even helped tie up my corset back and made a beautiful bow for my sash when my bridesmaids couldn't. My ceremony shots came out beautifully and so many small moments were captured in exquisite detail. Chris and Kerri were both delightful and we all had a great deal of fun wandering around the park taking photos. The photos arrived a few weeks later by mail in a USB stick wood engraved with their company name in a small velvet stack. Everything was phenomenal quality. TL:DR; In short, for the affordability of their packages, the great personalities and their dedication to their clients Chris+Kerri are for sure the photographers I will be recommending to anyone I knew getting married in South Florida.

If you want to get incredible photos from a down to earth professional photographer then definitely go with Chris Kruger! His sense of humor and easy to work with attitude makes him a definite choice. From the moment we booked until our wedding day, Chris was always willing to answer our questions. Chris found an out of the box location for our engagement pictures and they turned out amazing. On the day of our wedding, Chris and his assistant Colin took incredible pictures and helped tame overwhelming family. We can't say enough about the quality of our pictures. They are breathtaking pictures and really capture the essence of the day!

Chris and his assistant shot my wedding in Stuart, FL in July 2014. My husband is active duty military so we didn't have a set date for the wedding until about a week prior. Chris was awesome about staying in contact with me from the moment I booked with him until my wedding day. My photos were everything I could have asked for and more. I didn't have to worry about anything!! I've not only recommended him to my family and friends, but even guests at my wedding have contacted me about recommending him to their friends and family!

Chris did our engagement shoot and our wedding on Valentines Day. There is no one else we think that could have captured our wedding like his company did. We are very thankful to have had them! I won’t get too crazy on this review, but… if Chris available to shoot your wedding, book him now (I’m serious- stop what you’re doing- call him- and make sure he photographs your wedding)! He is a very personable guy who really takes on the couple and their personality. I adore my engagement and wedding photos and am so happy that I hired Chris to capture such an amazing time in my life. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't bother with speaking to any other photographer.

Looking for the best photographer in south Florida is tough. There are so many out there that it is hard to choose. Once I stumbled upon Chris's portfolio I knew he had to photograph our wedding. His work is so clean and something I knew I would cherish for life. From day one my personality with Chris clicked. He is so professional but also knows how to have a good time. That was well needed from the stress of the wedding. We made a great choice in choosing Chris Kruger Photography. My experience with Chris Kruger Photography was nothing less than amazing. I have always dreamed of a session on the beach, and Chris gave us more than we could ask for. Due to the strong ocean breeze my hair was a mess. I was so worried about how I looked in the images, but was in complete awe of Chris's work. Chris was very easy to work with from day one. When we first met with him face to face to discuss our wedding day, we were not exactly sure what we wanted, but Chris worked with us to make sure that we had everything covered and also recommended several wedding ideas and concepts to us that made our wedding day even more spectacular than we could have imagined. Not only did Chris allow us to have our engagement shoot at two different locations, it was raining on our wedding day and we could not take pictures outside, so instead of us losing out on all of those pictures, Chris took additional time out of his life to give us an extra day to get dressed back up and take additional pictures. My husband and I absolutely love Chris! He is so outgoing and real with us! We have had the honor to get to know him in a more personal matter since the time we started working with him. He said he was available whenever, so we literally met up with him about an hour later. He was very professional and was able to work with us on a package deal. After working with him and his assistant on our engagement shoot, we knew we had made a good choice on hiring someone who would be able to capture our wedding perfectly. Being a photographer and trying to pick a photographer for your own wedding is not easy, but Chris has all the talent and professionalism that I was looking for. We've only done our engagement pictures as our wedding is still weeks away but I'm confident that our wedding pictures wil be just as beautiful as our engagement pictures. As a photographer I would like to give a piece of advice for those looking for someone to take their pictures on their special day: don't choose based on trends. Not saying all photogs who use trendy filters and effects are bad photographers because some are great but a lot of the times when the photographer has to use all those things it means that they didn't do a good job getting the photo right in the first place. You want your photos to be memorable because the photographer was able to capture the essence of you and your partner not because it has a cool yellow hue or extreme vignetting. Every photo from Chris is simple, classic and tasteful. And not only is his work great but he's great to work with as he had no issue waiting for my fiance and I when we were running late and still had all the energy and friendliness to make us feel comfortable. You can't go wrong with Chris.

When facing all the costs associated with our wedding, we were going to sacrifice photography to make ends meet. It seemed photographers were either REALLY good and REALLY expensive, or completely average and still expensive. At the last minute, a friend told us of Chris Kruger Photography and showed us their work. We loved it, but instantly said we couldn't afford someone this good, let alone someone that had won all those awards from various wedding sites but she insisted we had to try. So we did. We called them and expected the typical snotty wedding photographer response that they simply could NOT do our wedding for less than a small fortune (which we did not have). Instead, we found excited, talented, and friendly photographers that met with us, discussed our budget and what we could afford, and found a way to fit into it. We were thrilled! Despite our late booking, CK Photography fit us in for an engagement session as well. Since we had already booked them for the wedding, we crossed our fingers and hoped for great photos. We had a blast doing the session, and what we received wildly exceeded our expectations. They were fantastic. Not only that, but the turn around time on them was amazing, including the CD we received in the mail less than a week later. On the day of the wedding, we ran into Ruben at the resort early that morning. He had driven down EXTRA early to ensure that he didn't hit any traffic and wouldn't be late for our day. He put together a schedule for us which helped me line up the relatives and then began capturing all the details of our big day. He was relaxed, polite, friendly, but completely out of the way. He captured moments without distracting us or turning the attention to himself. He worked tirelessly (even starting early!) to tell the story of our day and I could not have been happier with our choice. I came to rely on him through the day more than our wedding coordinator. In less than a month, they had edited our photographs, posted them on their blog for sharing, and sent us CD's of the images in time to order Christmas presents for our family. Not only were they efficient, the photos are absolutely gorgeous. This was the easiest and most valued part of our day. Looking back at initially considering skipping this piece due to the expense to hire a photographer that could truly capture the day, I am extremely grateful to the friend that recommended Chris Kruger Photography and to Ruben, for capturing our day in a completely stress-free way. I highly recommend them and will continue to hire them in the future as well. Thank you!

Chris did both my engagement and wedding photos. Unsure about what exactly to do when getting photos taken, Chris made my fiancé and I feel at ease and we had a really great time during the engagement session. On the wedding day, we had a blast. We had some great locations picked out to take photos between the ceremony and reception and Chris and his assistant were a blast to work with while still maintaining professionalism. I was so happy with how our engagement photos turned out and I cannot wait to see the wedding ones! I would HIGHLY recommend Chris!

Chris Kruger and his partner Ruben Vazquez were unbelievable before, during, and after my wedding! The complete coverage package was worth every penny! They were creative and attentive throughout the entire event. I loved having them as my photographers! My guests thought they were fantastic as well. They are the complete photography package!

When my now husband and I booked with Chris Kruger Photography we had no idea that we would be using him for all our future photoshoots. He was just starting out but the quality of his work looked as if he had 50 years experience! His turn around time is so quick. I had a hard copy of all my images within 1 week and my wedding album within about 3-4 weeks. He's quick to returning calls, emails, texts ect. Chris is an exceptional photographer! He thinks outside the box in taking pictures. He really captures the moments. He has a fun personality yet is very professional. His assistant is awesome too and they make a duo team. My husband and I love our wedding pictures! I highly recommend him.

After interveiwing different photographers Chris was the only one who offered us an outstanding package that fit our budget. His professionalism and creativity was unbelievable! Since we did not have a videographer Chris captured all of our important moments and then some!! His attentiveness to our needs throughout the whole day brought a wonderful sense of comfort that showed throughout all of the images. His ability to capture moments while they are happening was outstanding. The delivery time for our photos and albums was superb, I have a co worker who was married the weekend prior to my wedding and while she is still waiting for her albums I have everything that Chris discussed with us. If your looking for a reliable trustworthy photography who isn't going to provide you with low quality images then Chris is definitely the guy you want!!! I know from my personal experience I will always be using him for all of my photo needs.

We read many reviews and they all sounded nice. However, after speaking with Chris, my fiancé at the time and I decided to go with him. He was so responsive, professional, and easy to work with. He always responded to every email, question, request, or phone call. He was even early to the 2 events we scheduled him for. Lastly, and most importantly, the pictures of our wedding and dinner celebration were amazing!!!! We consider ourselves very lucky to have found Chris and give him the highest of recommendations.
