Chris McGuire Photography

gh a magnificent cinematic lens. We could not have asked for anything better than what Chris delivered. We would strongly recommend his services to everyone!

perience. He was incredibly professional and prompt in answering any questions and adapting to changes in plans. He suggested that we meet with him a few months prior to the wedding to hear our thoughts and our plan for the day, he used this to craft his timeline and everything worked out perfectly. We had a chance to confirm everything with him in another meeting the week of the wedding, which was incredibly helpful and eased any anxieties we had. His knowledge of how the time of year for our wedding could impact photographs was incredible and it led to some of our favorite pictures that he captured. We cannot recommend him enough to any other couples that are looking to get married in the Central Illinois/Greater Peoria area.

was perfect form my necklace was straight and my hair not being in my face. Chris was very past at replaying with any questions me and my husband had along the way. But Chris also too. The time asking me and my husband questions about what photos were very important to us and our vision for the day. He surpassed all of that and took our visions and put his own twist on them. Whenever we show our engagement & wedding photos to friends and family we always get so many compliments! I would recommend Chris for any photoshoot. From his professional and his friendliness you won’t be disappointed!

s back fairly quickly as well. He was even great with taking pictures of our pup. Would highly recommend Chris!

nted all requests and ideas we gave him. He helped us stick to our timeline, while also capturing all the pictures we hoped for. The photos turned out so beautifully, with so many details captured perfectly. I would request Chris as a wedding photographer to anyone getting married soon!

n I saw his work I knew I found the perfect photographer for the most important day of my life. Not only is his work impeccable, but he is also very kind and accommodating. The moments leading up to me getting to my church was fueled with absolute chaos and a mini meltdown on my part and Chris’ calm and gentle energy really helped keep me grounded. Book him.

ends who had glowing reviews of his work at their own wedding. Choosing Chris was the one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He perfectly captured our special day and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. During our engagement shoot, he took the most candid and romantic photos of us, showcasing the joy and humor in our relationship. The wedding photos were everything we envisioned. Chris made sure to capture the outfits, the guests, the decor, and all the special magical moments. His photos will be a wonderful way for us to keep the memories of our day alive. We can't recommend him highly enough!

or other weird photo filters that will one day soon go out of style... his photos are timeless! The flowers were very important to me and he captured the colors of them with 100% accuracy. I also appreciated that before the wedding, he went over the timeline thoroughly and gave his expert advice on what we could/ could not accomplish in the time we had. I highly highly recommend him. Here we are 7 months later and I'm still in love with the photos! He got all the important shots and captured the event with expert precision. I would happily hire him again if I ever needed a professional photographer.

spots for pictures and made sure we got every picture we wanted. He was by far our favorite vendor we had and we couldn’t recommend him anymore. I have no doubt the pictures will be amazing!

kes. Chris understands all the important moments that you need and want captured on your wedding day, and then he goes above and beyond to make those moments art that you will treasure for the rest of time. Some of my favorite photos are ones that I had no clue he was taking (or how he took them!). He does so much more the photograph your wedding - he captures the exact feelings, moments, looks, and memories of the most special day of your life. He captures all the important people and all the big moments as they are at their very best. Getting our wedding photos back was like reliving our wedding day over and over again - and that is one of the greatest gifts. Chris is an absolute treasure and the best in his field at capturing the most beautiful moments and turning them into living memorials. I cannot say enough about what a joy he was to work with and how thrilled we are with our wedding photos!

red every little detail and it was truly like reliving our special day! All of the feelings and emotions of the day were captured perfectly. We’re not sure how we’re going to pick out which ones to put in our album and hang in our home. We definitely understand the “ninja” reference so many others have made in the reviews… there were so many pictures that made us say, “how did he get that? I don’t even remember seeing him!” We were looking for a photographer that took high quality, crystal clear, timeless photos. We got that and so much more with Chris. He was so professional, easy going, and helpful. He made sure he knew exactly what we wanted before our wedding and made sure to capture all of our requests and more. We were so thankful to have such a professional photographer capture all the memories from our special day that we will relive for years to come. We would choose Chris as our photographer again and again. Thank you, Chris!

otic tapestry of an Indian wedding was seamlessly woven into his captures, revealing ceremonies and pre-event preparations in all their splendor. Chris was a dream to collaborate with — accommodating, punctual, and highly intuitive. When I was uncertain about portrait locations, he promptly provided suggestions, guiding us towards the ideal spot. Chris's keen eye not only captures the big moments, but also the precious ones in between. We truly believe anyone would be fortunate to have him as their photographer."

ent advice, and captured amazing photos of our wedding. Seriously, I cried when I saw the photos. They are that beautiful. We were working with shifting timelines, poor weather conditions, lots of family photos we wanted, and Chris made it all go smoothly. A real professional!!

at the ceremony and reception. Chris has a unique talent in being able to capture the feeling of the moment. You really can't go wrong with Chris! He is patient with scheduling, a fast replier, quick turn around with pictures, and so SO talented.

nt with me when it came to my big day decisions. Chris was always there for me with any questions I had since this was my first wedding I had many and he was always there to answer them for me. He was also very understanding to any changes so made before and during my wedding. He was the only photographer I had with over a few hundred guests and he was capturing every moment I hoped! I highly recommend Chris for any photo sessions he’s very nice and professional.

for your wedding photographer!

e our day himself so we let him do his thing! Leading up to the wedding, Chris was always willing to answer any of my questions and even help with the timeline. The day of the wedding, Chris arrived on time, calm and collected, and even got started early! He knew some really great spots to go around our venue to take bridal party portraits. Being in front of his camera felt extremely natural. Chris knew that the reception was an important part for him to capture. We ran into a snag with food plates so our reception got started a little later than expected. Chris offered to stay an extra hour so we took him up on it. After the wedding, we received our album in about 2-3 weeks with 1,400 photos. The photos are simply breathtaking. He captured every emotion, all the perfect moments, all the little details, and everything in between. Choosing Chris to take your wedding portraits will be one of the best decisions you make for one of the most important days of your life!

ts that have photos of their families from our wedding that they have put on canvases in their homes. His attention to detail is outstanding.

s communicated well with us throughout the entire process. We emailed often. He was always quick to respond to any of our questions. He conferenced with us on the phone ahead of our wedding. Chris was very organized, which made our wedding day run smoothly. We received our images very quickly!! (Our wedding was in early July, and we had our images by the end of July) It was evident that Chris was very knowledgeable about his profession. He handled our engagement session and wedding day carefully. He captured meaningful moments using excellent exposure/lighting. He is definitely an artist. The images he captured were unique, in the moment, individualized, and highlighted us as a couple. Overall, Chris was great to work with! I would HIGHLY recommend Chris McGuire to anyone looking for a photographer. While working with my husband and I, Chris conducted himself in a professional manner. He without a doubt exceeded all of our expectations. I couldn’t be more pleased with our pictures! I will cherish these pictures for a lifetime!

tures are beautiful, very clear, and the lighting was spot on! I was very impressed with Chris and I would recommend him to anyone!

the end of the night. We gave Chris a large order to fill and he over delivered. We actually landed back from our honeymoon when we got the email our pictures were ready (very fast turn around time), we spent the long layover smiling, laughing and crying all over again…which is exactly what we were hoping for. We cannot speak enough of his thoughtfulness, patience, and even-keel approach which made us feel so at ease and helped us to stay present in the moment.

o plan the locations, timing, and sequence of photos for our engagement shoot. We did our engagement photos in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations and Chris executed incredibly well given the huge variety of lighting conditions. Moreover, he exhibited great creativity in the way he improvised several shots in an art museum, which produced some of our favorite photos. On our wedding day itself he was able to photograph all of the standard wedding images while also managing to discretely capture many unique moments. He was able to pose different groups for photos efficiently and yet naturally. Chris was professional, courteous, flexible, and kept an upbeat and positive sense of humor for the entirety of both sessions. We would absolutely choose to work with him again for another wedding or other professional photography needs.

he "once in a lifetime" pictures and is always on task. Chris provided an excellent experience for everyone involved.

Highly recommend him!

ur wedding day. Chris’s use of the light and the surroundings makes a breathtaking result. You can tell from his work that he’s been doing wedding photography for a long time. Getting a photographer with a ton of experience really pays off in the quality of the photos you get. And for that, you couldn’t pick anyone better than Chris! He took into account all our requests, ran around with us to different locations on our wedding day, and got every single shot we asked for. We can’t recommend him enough :) Thank you Chris!

ing sessions! We needed a strong photographer to get us through this very important event and he was there every step of the way! The best part was that he gives access to all photos taken and they were AMAZING!

cing available were diverse and very accommodating. I was looking for a photographer whose style was timeless. Definitely hit the nail on the head with Chris. We had an August wedding in 2021. Outdoor ceremony in a wooded area. Chris did a fantastic job with lighting which I know had to be difficult. Reception photos indoors were equally as beautiful. He also did our engagement photos, even with our kids and dogs in tow. (Thank you for your patience and willingness!) Poses suggested were creative without being forced and some perfectly classic. I ordered a wedding photo book through Chris as well. Attention to detail was amazing and I can’t wait to have this memory so well crafted. Again, I couldn’t imagine having anyone else capture our day!

ruly the best option for wedding photos!

t advice, and was honest if a certain location was not pragmatic or if the lighting would not be ideal. He was flexible with us as well when we had to reschedule (twice) due to the pandemic. More importantly, the pictures were breathtaking. All of my friends and family were impressed. One of my bridesmaids stated that he caught the personality of everyone very well. I cannot recommend Chris enough!

t boy was I wrong! Chris was able to make it look like we were in a forest even though we were in a small grove of trees on our front lawn and our pictures were amazing! He was able to capture small details that I had forgotten about and it was great being able to reminisce on our wedding day. He was able to not only capture great pictures of us, but also great pictures of our ceremony and reception venues. He was incredibly professional, showed up early, and let us call or email him anytime with any questions we had. We are so excited to start the process of picking out our pictures for our album with him - it will just be so hard to narrow the pictures down!

photographer, if they would understand us, or capture the right moments while making us feel comfortable. With that being said Chris was AMAZING to work with from the start. He was able to work with our budget and walked us through his customizable packages to ensure we got everything we were looking for. We chatted for over an hour going over details and just getting to know each other and by the end of the call, we knew we wanted to book Chris for our wedding. He was always there to answer questions and helped us build out our wedding day timeline which was great! He even was able to accommodate our last minute request to add a second photographer (who by the way was also amazing!). Now to the actual wedding day....Chris couldn't have been a better sport. Our wedding ended up being 105 degrees and our ceremony was outside. We had a bridal room to get ready in but there was no air conditioning (which threw a wrench into the getting ready photos I had planned)! Everyone should have been miserable but the laughter didn't stop and Chris helped everyone feel comfortable and managed to find multiple locations around our venue to get the most beautiful shaded photos. We have no idea how we are going to pick our favorites because Chris delivered SO MANY amazing photos, both in the moment and the typical posed photos. During the ceremony and the reception, Chris and the second photographer were like ninjas. They got some really cool angles and when sharing the pics with family and friends, no one could figure out how they managed to get some of these pictures without being seen! We had more than 5 people approach us at our reception just to compliment us on our photographers, saying they were just the best to work with, they blended into the crowd and made everything feel so natural. We could not recommend Chris enough! We are over the moon happy with our photos and our overall experience with Chris from the time of booking all the way through to the picture delivery. Again, could not recommend Chris enough! Book him for any and all of your special events, you will not be disappointed!

ween us, life is hectic!). Chris was extremely easy to work with and super responsive. He made sure to capture all of the special moments. His editing was REMARKABLE. I can't get over how beautiful our wedding photos turned out. I absolutely love them. I'm not sure how I will ever decide which prints to get enlarged and hang in our home because their are so many amazing photos to choose from. His photographer was so fantastic, our wedding venue chose one of the pictures of us to be as their main photo on their website. Best photographer around!

r photos and have gotten tons of compliments! Chris was even willing to work with us to create the right package that we needed.

d to be everywhere at once, managing to get pictures that I didn’t even know were happening! Our wedding party portraits turned out phenomenal. Chris did a great job of coordinating everyone for posed shots while also taking transition photos that truly showed everyone’s personalities and emotions. He was also able to capture our ceremony from all angles. We got plenty of pictures of our vows and ring exchanges while also getting photos of our guests’ reactions. With both the groom and I having large families in attendance, family portraits required lots of organization. Chris made sure to include all of the shots that we wanted, doing so in a timely manner to make sure that we were able to spend as much time as possible with our guests. Given the unusual circumstances of 2020, many of our wedding plans were constantly being evaluated with the changing pandemic guidelines. Chris did an excellent job of communicating with us regularly to ensure that we had everything we needed to make our wedding as normal as possible. Additionally, our wedding day ended up being extremely hot and humid. Chris did a great job of working with everyone to keep the outdoor shots as quick as possible to get everyone back inside. Furthermore, Chris did a great job of changing plans even last minute. We had planned on sunset photos followed by a sparkler exit. However, it became cloudy and started thundering just before sunset. Chris was able to incorporate the stormy background, giving us absolutely stunning shots with the lightning strikes behind us! We were able to finish the shots just before it began pouring down rain. Chris was also able to capture the energy of our guests during our reception, giving us photos of cherished moments to forever look back on. Overall, Chris exceeded all of my expectations. Even months later, I am still blown away by how amazing our photos are. Chris played an integral role in making our wedding day memorable, and I would highly recommend his photography services.

ot my wedding and I have only seen the sneak peek and I can't even put into words how beautiful they looked. I would highly recommend him for any of your events. He is your guy! You won't regret choosing him! Thank you again Chris McGuire Photography. You are fantastic!

h the punches and helped us have a truly amazing day! I still can't figure out how he was able to be in so many places at once to get all the pictures he got!

ard in over 90 degree heat and humidity and had a smile on his face the entire time. I would highly recommend him for your photography needs!

sion and wedding day. Would high recommend Chris!

r wedding and got married on a cloudy day and the pictures turned out fantastic! He takes what may seem like an ordinary background and makes it something amazing, words from my husband exactly. He even captured priceless moments during the reception and you can just feel the energy that was in the room that night by looking at his pictures. He’s such a calm and flexible man who can ease the nerves of any bride. Do yourself a huge favor and choose him as your photographer!

and our wedding pictures. He has a great eye for detail, lighting, and what the best places in the area are for pictures! We had so much fun working with him and would highly recommend him to anyone!

l. It was clear to me that he came prepared and focused. Chris helped me tweak our itinerary which I appreciated. He also helped to keep things moving along smoothly during the day, especially during the family and bridal party photos. He was very assertive when leading our group. He really respected our vision and seemed to grasp what we wanted out of our wedding photography. I was super excited to receive sneak peeks a few days after our wedding and the full collection in less than 3 weeks! I highly recommend Chris! Wonderful job!
