We were married at Christ Church in October of 2015 and it was an amazing, beautiful experience! Reverend Richardson, Parker, Jen and the rest of the staff at Christ Church made us feel incredibly welcome and helped us create a service that was very personal and which everyone enjoyed - many of our guests said that it was the most beautiful wedding service that they had attended. My wife and I love Christ Church and it has such a great atmosphere. We still attend services whenever we are able and can't say enough great things about the church and its congregation.

Christ Church in Philadelphia was the site of our beautiful December wedding. My husband and I were thrilled with the attention and support from the liturgical, musical, and support staff to help us plan our special day (the logistics were very well organized). Our guests were impressed by the historical significance of the Church and we felt lucky to be married in an intimate and beautiful setting. We've been blessed to find one another, and we felt that this day needed to reflect our special relationship and commitment to one another, many members of the Christ Church community stepped up to help us make our dream a reality. Reverand Susan Richardson took the time to get to know us and helped us plan our liturgy (she is great). Parker Kitterman, the awesome organist and music director worked with our very musical family to help us create a custom liturgical music celebration. Jen worked as our wedding coordinator at the Church and was professional and helped us organize the day. It's important to know that we are not congregants of Christ Church, but we were welcomed enthusiastically and made to feel part of the community. Christ Church Philadelphia is a historic wedding venue located in Philadelphia, PA. This setting offers an array of backdrops, from the stunning altar to the brick wall-bordered burial grounds, for you to host your celebration. As an active Episcopal parish, Christ Church Philadelphia welcomes visitors from all walks of life and strives to give each soon-to-be-wed a memorable wedding day. This visually stunning building dates back to 1744 and has hosted many notable attendees, from George Washington to Betsy Ross. It now serves as a memorable backdrop for couples to start their new married life. Their primary church setting and reception space can host events with up to 300 guests. After you and your entourage prepare in the in-house dressing rooms, you will make your way to the main ceremony setting. Traditional pew seating is present on both the ground floor and mezzanine floor, separated by a spacious aisle with hardwood flooring. Large, 18th-century glass windows surround the space, covering your guests in a classically elegant atmosphere and plenty of natural light. Hanging above the aisle is a vintage chandelier, once used by Ben Franklin's daughter, for an extra romantic touch. Surrounding the church are professionally designed gardens that make for a lovely setting for first looks. Christ Church Philadelphia offers food and catering services to complete your wedding experience. Various rentals and equipment are also available. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or extravagant celebration, the team will make sure you have everything you need to bring your vision to life.
