Christel Stuart - Wedding Officiant

Christel did a wonderful job! She sent us her sample ceremony's I took them and edited them and added some stuff of my own before sending it back. She took my sentiments and made sure they sounded more like her voice so it all flowed seamlessly. The selling point for us was that she has experience doing handfasting which was very important to me. While the day was windy once she got our cord untangled the tying happened smoothly which is what I wanted. Everyone told us how good the ceremony was and many even said they felt it reinvigorated their marriage. We were so honored that thanks to Christel the ceremony wasn't just meaningful for us but for everyone in attendance. Everyone said they cried at some point because it was so beautiful it was nice to know I wasn't the only one brought to tears by the ceremony.

Christel is the best!! If you're looking for someone to officiate look no further. We cannot recommend Christel enough. She truly puts so much care and effort into each of her couples, making sure she knows them and exactly what they want for their day. After getting to know her and seeing her the day of it felt as though it was a friend officiating our wedding ceremony. Plus the energy she brings on the day of will make any nerves you may have disappear!

Christel is an absolute GEM! We spoke with a number of officiants and decided on Christel because of her fun, personable nature as well as the variety of customizable ceremonies she offered. We had to change our plans a number of times due to the pandemic and Christel always went with the flow -- we ended up having a minimony on our original date in June 2020 with immediate family present, and we were able to do that because Christel was down to still marry us despite everything going on in the world. We are forever grateful for that. She then went the extra mile and showed up for us by also leading a vow renewal a little over a year later for our originally-planned wedding celebration that we finally got to have with the rest of our family and friends. Both ceremonies were a beautiful balance of fun, serious, authentic and unique -- even drew some laughs and cheers from attendees during them! When you work with Christel, you feel like you’re hanging out with an old friend. We are thankful for her time and talents in making both of these days so special for us!

Wow! I could not have asked for a better ceremony and we owe that to Christel. Christel is the perfect mix of funny, heartfelt, and personal. She made us both feel so at ease and comfortable standing up in front of all our friends and families. After the ceremony we had many guests ask where we found her because she was AWESOME! She is so kind and accommodating. You will not regret booking her as your wedding officiant!

Christel was exactly the person and energy we needed for our wedding day. She brought such a personal and comedic touch to our wedding that brought so much joy to our ceremony. She was full of joy and laughter during our rehearsal which broke so much tension. And during our ceremony she surprised us with excerpts from letters we wrote her about our relationship. Her sermon was so heartfelt and definitely appreciated. I definitely recommend.

Christel was amazing! She helped get everything organized for the ceremony and was fun and relaxed the whole time. Our wedding ceremony was perfect thanks to her help! We would recommend her to anyone getting married in the area!

There is no question on who to use for an officiant here in Austin and the surrounding area. I work in the wedding industry and see a lot of officiants, and when I got engaged, I didn’t contact anyone except her. Her personality is magnetic and you feel so comfortable around her instantly. I knew I would be nervous in those moments and her up there with me would make the world of difference. After booking, she sends you about 9 different vow options to choose from and you can customize and pick parts from different ones. It helped me as I had no clue what I wanted her to say. I customized some parts and asked her if she could include my fiance’s son in some of it, saying we are becoming a family, not just husband and wife. On the day of the wedding, we both said “I do” and then she asked his son if he would take me as his bonus mom and he said “I do.” That was not planned out and melted my heart and I couldn’t stop smiling! She is so flexible and accommodating as well. I asked her if Mark could announce us for the first time as husband and wife. She was so good with him and he felt confident coming up there and speaking from the stage where she was at. And this is silly but super important, when she is saying you can kiss the bride, she moves out of the way so she is not in all of your photos! Bonus information on her company- her husband has a photography business and they do specialize in elopement style weddings as well so it is great if you want to get a photographer and officiant in one stop!

We found Christel on the knot, I felt lost and really wasn’t sure who we should go with. I’m so happy we found her! She helped make our ceremony beyond perfect, everything about her was truly amazing. Her vibe, humor, the reading she gave, everything just turned out beautifully. Out of all the wedding vendors to find, I think picking the right wedding officiant is the hardest. You want someone who listens, who ‘gets’ you and your partner, and who you feel you can trust with your most intimate feelings. Christel was all of those things to us, and we knew quite immediately she would be an excellent fit! Christel is the perfect blend of professional and humorous. In our meetings, and even at our rehearsal, she brought a genuine lightheartedness to the room that made everyone feel comfortable. She was always prompt in answering our emails and flexible in creating a custom ceremony that would best represent us as a couple. Our ceremony was intimate and memorable. I will always be thankful for this one small thing she said at the beginning of our ceremony- “Let’s all take a deep breath”. Oh man, if we ever needed to take a deep breath it was that moment in time! Because of this small pause I remember my ceremony quite vividly, as it gave my heart and mind an instant to catch up with such an important moment. While the rest of that day was a blur, my wedding ceremony was not. So, thank you Christel for your creativity, your humor, your deep breath advising, and your awesome abilities at capturing a crowd! We couldn’t have picked a better person to officiate our ceremony and felt that you represented our love exquisitely. Book her, Book her, Book her! You will be so thankful you did!
