Christie Becker was the best decision we made for our ceremony and cocktail hour. She is not only extremely talented but also mobile so if you have her for a couple hours, she can move with your event timeline. You are allowed to personally customize your playlist, if you have a song that you really enjoy or find important, she will figure out a way to incorporate it! We got so many compliments having Christie at our event, she just really added a beautiful ambiance to the venue. I 100% recommend her for your wedding day!

Christie was so great to work with! She arranged our eclectic and silly song choices beautifully and it was so much fun to hear them played so well on the violin. We had an elopement ceremony in Mt. Rainier park and it was chaotic getting everyone to the same place on time, but Christie was there at the correct location and on time. If you're in search of a talented, professional violinist, I can assure you that your expectations with be exceeded working with Christie. I cannot recommend her enough. Christie played at our wedding and was amazing to work with. From the beginning, she was professional, prompt, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping us shape the vibe we wanted. She went above and beyond -- even coordinating her attire to match our wedding theme which made our photos look that much more cohesive and intentional. On the music, Christie has a massive repertoire of 1K+ songs spanning many genres from R&B, hip-hop, pop, soul, movie/television soundtracks, and much more. She played with warmth, precision, and emotion, creating a soundtrack that made the day feel magical. She had our guests nodding along in admiration during our ceremony and cocktail hour. She also played for our first dance, giving us a great rendition of Stuck with U by Ariana Grande that we choreographed our dance to. She nailed Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar for our recessional -- which we loved. Yes, a classical violin rendition of Kendrick, and it hit hard. It was unexpected, edgy, and somehow still elegant—exactly the energy we wanted walking back down the aisle.

I can't recommend Christie enough - you don't know it yet, but this violinist is exactly who you need for your wedding! We booked her for our entire night, from before our ceremony to our last dance, and Christie brought so much life to our wedding - her renditions of all our favorite songs were the perfect soundtrack to our wedding day! All our guests loved listening to her, and she got our very shy crowd dancing in no time! Her range of styles, from classical music to swoony jazz standards to poppy covers of the latest songs brought us so much joy! She was amazing to work with - super accommodating to our music preferences, with lots of ideas when we weren't sure what to do - such a warm, friendly person to be around! Day-of, she handled setup and tear down with ease and was such a calming presence throughout the day! Also!! She played with ODEZSA. HOW COOL OF A FLEX IS THAT.

Are you a millennial who loves Twilight, Harry Potter, Disney, and show theme songs-then this is your go to girl! When planning our wedding, we knew we wanted a sort of Bridgerton-feel by having live music for the ceremony. I’ve known for years that I wanted to walk down the aisle to the same song Bella did in Breaking Dawn and could not find a violinist who knew the song or would learn it without a steep charge. Luckily, my now wife found Christie through her Instagram. After initially meeting on zoom, we were thrilled to know she not only knew my processional song but had a huge repertoire of modern and classic songs-she understood our eclectic vision. Within minutes of our meeting, she already planned out a set list, timeline, and was willing to go over any changes or update us on new songs she added to her repertoire. Not only is she a gifted performer and has this wide range of pieces, she also is incredibly kind. We received an email each month with a song sample and countdown leading up to our wedding day. One of our favorite things to look forward to as we approached the big day (: She truly cares about making your vision come through in her performance and song choices and every conversation and plan made prior to the big day. Such a fun, whimsical, and wonderful experience to have had her for our wedding. Highly recommend!

Christie did a wonderful job managing all of the music and audio for our wedding. First of all, we loved her violin playing. Having that special touch of live music really helped several moments stand out. Secondly, Christie set up and moved audio equipment around the entire day to enable me, our officiants and family members to speak on microphones to our guests. Finally, Christie worked closely with us to develop a music playlist for all parts of the day, but especially for the dancing portion of the reception. Christie Becker Violin was the perfect find at the Wedding Expo in Seattle. Christie and her talent were exactly what my daughter and finance were looking for at their wedding. Plus, she came all the way to the Allision Inn and Spa in Newberg Oregon!! Christie made this day so very special for the bride and groom and for all the guests. Christie played the violin for the ceremony and the electric violin during the cocktail hour. We especially loved it when Christie led wedding party and guests from the ceremony garden to the cocktail hour along a meandering path, so much fun!! Christie was a dream to work with. She made our day so magical by playing my special request Kishi-Bashi cover version of the Talking Heads "This Must Be The Place" for the processional. Her music during the prelude really set the tone and I've gotten tons of compliments from guests. Her suggestions and ordering of the songs was as artful as her playing, and she really knows how to help create a vision/mood. She also has exceptional communication skills, which made my day so much easier.

In the months following our booking, she consistently checked in with me and provided samples of every song that I requested played at the wedding, along with a delightful message and encouraging words that made me feel so at ease! On the day of the wedding she arrived early, and even though our wedding was held at our ranch in a very remote location in Nevada, she found her way there and set up before the ceremony with no issues at all. Book her!!!! When we first contemplated on hiring a violinist, I did not expect Christie to answer my call on the very first try. From the very beginning of simply inquiring and playing with the idea, I felt understood. She grasped our personalities and also the vibe we were going for. Her proposal was so articulate and beautiful, we needed to make it official asap! It brought all the feels for us both. We had a lot of people in our procession and that included a variety of songs. We have so many lauditory words for Christie, and yet none of them seem adequate to describe her and our wonderful experience working with her for our wedding in August 2023. We asked Christie to play at our church ceremony and also at our reception for a knot tying ceremony. She not only was very familiar with Catholic wedding ceremonies, but also developed a perfect list of songs to play. She even contacted the priest to get it all approved. For the knot tying, she also developed a great play list with our input, and accommodated our last minute changes. She was able to create the perfect mood for both aspects of our wedding day, and they were quite different, showing her flexibility and creativity. When I saw her in person for the first time on our wedding day, she looked stunning and had a different outfit to match the tone of our ceremony and reception. I literally did not have to do anything. Christie had it all together before we even had to think about it. Not only is she a talented musician, but also a very professional business woman who provided us with a comprehensive, but simple contract. All our payments were super easy and done on-line. She checked in with us every couple of months and sent little clips of songs she would be playing. This built the momentum and excitement. Finally, Christie is simply a delightful person to work with. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a classy, beautiful ambiance at their special event. Christie is a phenomenally talented violinist! If you are looking for a violinist for your wedding or any event really you need not look any further! Christie was everything we were looking for and more. She was lovely to work with and was very professional and organized. We hired her to play our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. From the start she was so easy to work with and was super responsive. Once we hired her, she created a planning page for us and helped us develop the playlist she would play for each. The thing I loved the most about working with her is each month, on the 7th of the month (we got married 10/7/23), she would send me a countdown email with a clip of something she would be playing at our wedding. I looked forward to her emails and loved this special touch that she didn't have to do! Once the wedding was getting close she started to work with our coordinator and I didn't have to worry about anything. She really elevated our wedding and it was perfection. Our guest kept raving about her too. I would definitely hire Christie again, she is a gem and so very talented!

It was through her gentle guidance that Stepanie and Alex were able to have their visions for a perfect wedding come true musically. She presented a flawless performance on the wedding day that started with all the guests singing along with her wedding piece. This was followed by providing a delightful, heavenly ambience during the cocktails from the edge of the forest. Christie was an absolute gem! During the planning process, she was immensely helpful in guiding us on what each section of the ceremony meant, provided example song lists for each, and was flexible when I changed my mind a few times! Plus at the 6 month mark, she would send monthly updates with clips of the music we chose and it would be a great way to get even more excited about our wedding. We got married in a cute chapel - after the ceremony we went upstairs to ring the bell and we got to hang out next to her for a bit while we took some pictures. Christie was absolutely wonderful to work with for our Indian wedding reception. She was timely in her responses, respectful, professional, flexible, and kind, and she worked well with our other vendors (sound/light, planners) to ensure that things would go smoothly day of. She worked with us in advance to plan the songs she would play and allowed us to choose multiple Bollywood songs, some of which were from a list she provided of songs she had played before and others which were not. On the day of, she gave a stunning performance that left our guests in awe. Christie performed at our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, throughout our dinner and our reception at Tsillan Cellars in Chelan, Washington. It’s an understatement to say that she is amazing! I found her by accident here on The Knot after having no luck with DJs, bands, or string quartets. I contacted Christie and we had a video chat within a day. We customized my entire list from ceremony to reception. She sent us sample clips each month up until the week before our wedding! This was a destination wedding for us, so we never met Christie or saw her play in person but trust me, you don’t need to because what you see and hear online from her is fantastic and what you see and hear in person is phenomenal! She is so talented, sweet, and easy to work with; she made last minute adjustments when the venue changed a few things from us and even took requests from our guests! I didn’t know what a Mixed Media Violinist does until I saw Christie’s work on her website. If you are worried it won’t sound right, or won’t be enough or it won’t be fun, I’m telling you to stop those thoughts! It was the best choice I could have made! Christie Becker is phenomenal! She played for two hours at our wedding (ceremony and cocktail hour), and I can honestly say that booking her was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process.
