Christie did a wonderful job managing all of the music and audio for our wedding. First of all, we loved her violin playing. Having that special touch of live music really helped several moments stand out. Secondly, Christie set up and moved audio equipment around the entire day to enable me, our officiants and family members to speak on microphones to our guests. Finally, Christie worked closely with us to develop a music playlist for all parts of the day, but especially for the dancing portion of the reception. Our guests loved the music and had a a very fun time together at night. It was amazing that Christie was able to provide all of these services within one very reasonably priced package. Christie Becker Violin was the perfect find at the Wedding Expo in Seattle. Christie and her talent were exactly what my daughter and finance were looking for at their wedding. Plus, she came all the way to the Allision Inn and Spa in Newberg Oregon!! Christie made this day so very special for the bride and groom and for all the guests. Christie played the violin for the ceremony and the electric violin during the cocktail hour. We especially loved it when Christie led wedding party and guests from the ceremony garden to the cocktail hour along a meandering path, so much fun!! Christie was so responsive to all of our requests, had a wonderful selection of music, and was so attentive to every detail, a true professional.

Christie was a dream to work with. She made our day so magical by playing my special request Kishi-Bashi cover version of the Talking Heads "This Must Be The Place" for the processional. Her music during the prelude really set the tone and I've gotten tons of compliments from guests. Her suggestions and ordering of the songs was as artful as her playing, and she really knows how to help create a vision/mood. She also has exceptional communication skills, which made my day so much easier.

Christie was absolutely amazing! In the months following our booking, she consistently checked in with me and provided samples of every song that I requested played at the wedding, along with a delightful message and encouraging words that made me feel so at ease! On the day of the wedding she arrived early, and even though our wedding was held at our ranch in a very remote location in Nevada, she found her way there and set up before the ceremony with no issues at all. During the ceremony she played beautifully and it was exactly the experience I’ve dreamt about since I was young! Could not recommend Christie enough, thank you so much!

Christie goes above and beyond. She not only provided a great performance for my guests but also I feel like I can call her a friend. Over the past 6 months of wedding planning, she sent me sneak peaks monthly, and she really got to know me and my partner and focused on what musical experience we wanted and were asking for. Christie added such a special touch to our wedding day! She was also so organized and easy to work with leading up to the wedding. She sent multiple short clips with previews of the songs we had selected prior to our wedding day to ensure we had the perfect list of songs. Would highly recommend her for any event!

Christie was an awesome last-minute addition to our June 2024 wedding. She is such an accomplished violinist and we were so impressed at the extra value-added experience of having her play during our wedding ceremony. She customized a really amazing playlist with our input and was totally self-sufficient with setup and teardown on the day of the wedding. Book her!!!! When we first contemplated on hiring a violinist, I did not expect Christie to answer my call on the very first try. From the very beginning of simply inquiring and playing with the idea, I felt understood. She grasped our personalities and also the vibe we were going for. Her proposal was so articulate and beautiful, we needed to make it official asap! It brought all the feels for us both. We had a lot of people in our procession and that included a variety of songs. She did a wonderful job transitioning between them all and did so with so much grace. Our wedding was pretty big so her playing songs that we picked out specifically together created an intimate moment between my husband and I. Christie was very patient, she communicated through email and by phone, when requested. She is very detailed, down to her own attire. I must admit that even with a day of coordinator there were things not communicated and I appreciated her diligence through it all. She is a very organized and punctual individual who takes pride in what she does. She is simply amazing!!!! We have so many lauditory words for Christie, and yet none of them seem adequate to describe her and our wonderful experience working with her for our wedding in August 2023. We asked Christie to play at our church ceremony and also at our reception for a knot tying ceremony. She not only was very familiar with Catholic wedding ceremonies, but also developed a perfect list of songs to play. She even contacted the priest to get it all approved. For the knot tying, she also developed a great play list with our input, and accommodated our last minute changes. She was able to create the perfect mood for both aspects of our wedding day, and they were quite different, showing her flexibility and creativity. When I saw her in person for the first time on our wedding day, she looked stunning and had a different outfit to match the tone of our ceremony and reception. I literally did not have to do anything. Christie had it all together before we even had to think about it. Not only is she a talented musician, but also a very professional business woman who provided us with a comprehensive, but simple contract. All our payments were super easy and done on-line. She checked in with us every couple of months and sent little clips of songs she would be playing. This built the momentum and excitement. Finally, Christie is simply a delightful person to work with. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a classy, beautiful ambiance at their special event. Christie is a phenomenally talented violinist! She made our first dance dreams come true and we received many compliments from guests thay they enjoyed hearing her play all their favorite songs during cocktail hour! Best decision we made , she was so great in communication during the planning process and I highly recommend !!

If you are looking for a violinist for your wedding or any event really you need not look any further! Christie was everything we were looking for and more. She was lovely to work with and was very professional and organized. We hired her to play our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. From the start she was so easy to work with and was super responsive. Once we hired her, she created a planning page for us and helped us develop the playlist she would play for each. The thing I loved the most about working with her is each month, on the 7th of the month (we got married 10/7/23), she would send me a countdown email with a clip of something she would be playing at our wedding. I looked forward to her emails and loved this special touch that she didn't have to do! Once the wedding was getting close she started to work with our coordinator and I didn't have to worry about anything. She really elevated our wedding and it was perfection. Our guest kept raving about her too. I would definitely hire Christie again, she is a gem and so very talented!

Working with Christie was a 10/10 experience all around. I found her when I was at a point of wedding planning that had become stressful and it was so wonderful to find someone who made the process of having live music at your event SO easy. She knew immediately the vibe that I wanted for my ceremony and cocktail hour and executed it perfectly. Christie is an amazing musician. She is talented, professional, and caring. On top of her excellent performance, she is a great communicator. It was through her gentle guidance that Stepanie and Alex were able to have their visions for a perfect wedding come true musically. She presented a flawless performance on the wedding day that started with all the guests singing along with her wedding piece. This was followed by providing a delightful, heavenly ambience during the cocktails from the edge of the forest. Christie is absolutely amazing! We cannot say enough good things about her! Christie was our violinist for our wedding and she helped make our special day special. My husband and I are both musicians who met playing in a band so it was important to us that we found a musician we enjoyed and respected. And oh my goodness did Christie Becker deliver! If you want a beautifully talented musician and an absolutely lovely human to work with for your special day, Christie Becker is IT! Christie was an absolute gem! During the planning process, she was immensely helpful in guiding us on what each section of the ceremony meant, provided example song lists for each, and was flexible when I changed my mind a few times! Plus at the 6 month mark, she would send monthly updates with clips of the music we chose and it would be a great way to get even more excited about our wedding. We got married in a cute chapel - after the ceremony we went upstairs to ring the bell and we got to hang out next to her for a bit while we took some pictures. Christie was absolutely wonderful to work with for our Indian wedding reception. She was timely in her responses, respectful, professional, flexible, and kind, and she worked well with our other vendors (sound/light, planners) to ensure that things would go smoothly day of. She worked with us in advance to plan the songs she would play and allowed us to choose multiple Bollywood songs, some of which were from a list she provided of songs she had played before and others which were not. On the day of, she gave a stunning performance that left our guests in awe. She played a beautiful medley of the songs we had discussed, and it was definitely one of the best highlights of the evening. Christie performed at our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, throughout our dinner and our reception at Tsillan Cellars in Chelan, Washington. It’s an understatement to say that she is amazing! I found her by accident here on The Knot after having no luck with DJs, bands, or string quartets. I contacted Christie and we had a video chat within a day. We customized my entire list from ceremony to reception. She sent us sample clips each month up until the week before our wedding! This was a destination wedding for us, so we never met Christie or saw her play in person but trust me, you don’t need to because what you see and hear online from her is fantastic and what you see and hear in person is phenomenal! She is so talented, sweet, and easy to work with; she made last minute adjustments when the venue changed a few things from us and even took requests from our guests! I didn’t know what a Mixed Media Violinist does until I saw Christie’s work on her website. If you are worried it won’t sound right, or won’t be enough or it won’t be fun, I’m telling you to stop those thoughts! It was the best choice I could have made! Christie Becker is phenomenal! She played for two hours at our wedding (ceremony and cocktail hour), and I can honestly say that booking her was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process. She's organized, communicative, so kind and friendly, and best of all, is an incredible violinist. We had some random song requests that we were hoping she could play, and she was a resounding yes for every single one - even if she had never heard them before! Christie is amazing!!

I had the honor of having Christie play at my intimate wedding this past weekend! It was absolutely beautiful and just how I imagined. I was going for a romantic garden theme and having the live violinist really added the perfect touch. Working with Christie was one of the most low maintenance parts of wedding planning and I was incredibly grateful for that! After our initial call, she sent me her song lists and some suggestions, and I sent her back the songs I wanted - so simple. She also arranged a song for us not on her song list that I requested! On the day of the wedding Christie arrived on time and set up her equipment all by herself and didn’t need any more directions - a true professional! She has lovely back tracks that enhance the sound of the violin, without taking away the live music feel. I thought having a solo violinist was perfect and would absolutely recommend Christie Becker to anyone for live music (for any event!) Having someone to gauge pace and fade out the music easily was such a smart decision that I would suggest! Christie herself is also very friendly and I saw her talking to many guests after the ceremony who were complimenting her music. Her services are so affordable too and you will not be disappointed in the quality! (And I can say that growing up as a band/choir music kid!)

Christie was amazing from DAY 1! She responded quickly to my emails. She reached out to the lead musician at our church and got to work on the music right away. I never had to stress about Christie. She took time to make sure my vision came true. I wanted to make everyone cry with a romantic ceremony. She definitely made it happen! The week of the wedding I asked her to come early and play for our in church first look. Not only did she agree to arrive early, she made it a memorable private moment for myself and my husband. I HIGHLY recommend Christie! For the shy/phone anxiety planners...Christie communicated with me solely by email which took a lot of anxiety out of trying to get the energy to make yet another vendor call. A small thing but it meant a whole lot to me!
