Working with Christina at our wedding was such an easy, enjoyable experience! She really got to know both of us and capture our true personalities on film. Her ability to make me feel completely comfortable in front of a camera could possibly be classified as somewhat of a miracle. The film photos from our engagement session and wedding are breathtaking! Our friends and family adored her at the wedding and have been praising the photos we have shared with them! We could not have asked for a better experience or a better person to capture our special occasions. My husband and I already look forward to the day when Christina will photograph us as a family of three.

My wife and I chose Christina because the samples we saw of her work were beautiful, but the result was even better than we could have expected. Her use of film is not at all a gimmick, but a genuine artistic choice that results in incredible shots. Colors pop, and the images look luxurious. Christina's eye for capturing moments is impeccable. Reviewing the photos, there were stunningly romantic pictures that we never could have posed for. My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Christina Zen Studios! I had seen Christina and Carroll's work from a friend's wedding a few years back and at that point we weren't even engaged yet but I definitely knew who we were hiring as our photographer! My husband and I wanted a lot of candid photos that really captured the day, instead of a ton of staged, unnatural poses, and Carroll nailed it! Since my husband and I live in Florida we conversed with Carroll via email and phone leading up to the big day. Christina Zen Photography was amazing and a decision we were confident in from day one. She has a great personality and is skilled beyond measure. Christina and Carroll were present at our wedding and made us feel very relaxed despite rain and a whole slew of children in the wedding party! I don't even know where to begin! Both Carroll and Christina were a joy to work with, from beginning to end. I loved having them as part of our wedding day and the pictures came out beautifully. I am so glad we hired them and can't recommend them enough!

We could not be more thrilled with our wedding photos or with our experience of working with Christina and her team. She is incredibly professional, talented and a pleasure to work with. We used her for our beach boardwalk wedding in New Jersey and absolutely loved how she managed to capture the overall essence and feeling of the day while also getting some really amazing detail shots. She will also go to the ends of the earth to get the photos that you want. We wanted pictures walking down the boardwalk and not only did she herd traffic out of the way and throw herself in the line of fire so that we could get pictures walking twelve man/woman deep across the Ocean City boardwalk, but she also sent her assistant to get the most awesome props (funnel cakes, butterfly fries, cotton candy and lemonade to set the scene). Not to mention when she climbed into a ferris wheel car with us to take shots there at the end of the night, despite a fear of heights! In addition to getting the shots we wanted, she has a great eye for detail and picked some fantastic locations for our family and bridal party shots. Her work with the candid shots was truly impressive and we really treasure some of the moments she captured of of our guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour (it was especially shocking because she somehow totally blended into the background and I didn’t even realize she was snapping away). You will not go wrong if you pick Christina and her team and you will have artwork from your wedding day that you can treasure for years to come! The only problem with working with Christina is the struggle to decide which of the beautiful photos you want to hang on your walls once you see the final product!

We were motivated to find an exceptional artist to photograph our intimate Central Park wedding and Christina came very highly recommended by one of her peers. We seriously could not be happier with our decision to work with her as our wedding photographer! She did a spectacular job capturing so many momentous and loving moments and was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. It’s impossible to emphasize how important it is that you click with your photographer- and we knew right away that Christina was going to be a perfect match. She’s laid back yet highly professional, she’s insanely talented, and it’s so incredibly clear that she absolutely loves what she does. It’s amazing what she could do with the two of us who previously thought we only took awkward pictures! Christina and her crew are so easy to get along with. Her pictures are definitely the best wedding pictures I have seen. I cannot say enough amazing things about Christina. She was the first vendor I booked (I even tried to book her before we decided on the venue, ha) because I was so impressed by her work and style. I knew right away when we met in person for our engagement session that we had made the right decision. She is laid back, fun, and sweet. Zen photography was so great to work with! Christina was amazing. She arrived to our day with a greeted us with a big smile! I felt like I knew her she made us feel so comfortable and at ease. My husband hates getting his picture taken but Christina and her team made taking our photos fun and stress free. We spoke with her beforehand and everything we wanted she made sure we got! Even night shots which were one of my special requests!!!! My husband and I both have large families that are hard to handle and Christina was a pro!! Her team made sure that family pictures were quick and painless (which I'm sure both families appreciated). Anytime I asked for photos of something she was more than happy to make it happen and had a smile on her face the whole time. We had a very busy day with two ceremonies, two changes and lots other things going on in between and she made sure her team got photos of everything. Zen photography was Amazing ! After we made this our choice was when all the fun started. Christina first sent us a very nice care package in order to help us get to know her a little better which included tons of great information such as how she works, what a wedding day with her is like, and all the other services she has to offer. She also sent us a copy of her favorite romance movie and a bag of popcorn which I thought was just one of her many unique ideas to help you feel comfortable and confident that you made the right choice in your wedding photographer. We choose the package that included engagement photos. Just another reason why we loved Christina she helped us pick a place for the photos which was absolutely breath taking and also worked her schedule around us which was super helpful considering that we got rained out twice. This never stopped Christina from making our engagement photo session anything less then perfect. My husband and I ADORE Christina and ZEN Photography! We decided to have an intimate ceremony about five hours from home at the Stone Church at Cragsmoor. After my share of homework and tons of research, I approached Christina with fingers (and toes!) crossed. We were so happy that she agreed to capture our wedding being as how it was not a typical, all day wedding. She customized a package just for us. Our communication with Christina was done through email since we are out of town, and she was quick to respond the entire time. In the months leading up to our wedding, we even received a Christmas package and a postcard from her trip to Paris! Since we were pinched for time, we met at the church prior to the ceremony for pictures and she brought along her fantastic assistant, Carol. Carol not only helped her out, but she helped US out by entertaining our children so we could sneak off for some bride and groom pictures. Christina greeted us with open arms (literally!) and made us feel like we had known her for years. I cannot say this enough. Her. Work. Is. Fantastic. Her perspective is creative and unique. She captured everything I had hoped for and more. She is energetic and fiery and was such a pleasure to work with!. ...she is that good. Yes there are cheaper photographers out there but for me and my husband, who has a degree in Photography and is used to being behind the camera not in front of it, there was no comparison to Christina and her team! From the start, she was wonderful and put us at ease. She did digital and film at our wedding and it's worth every penny you spend. Her photos come out amazing and she works very quickly to get you a teaser even before you leave for your honeymoon! Having never been to our venue before, she quickly got acclaimated and found our onsite contact to figure out where she could and couldn't go for photos so we could concentrate on getting ready. We ran into time issues because someone forgot their shoes at home (completely NOT her fault at all) and still she managed to help us trouble shoot the issue and readjust her time line to make sure we got every photo we wanted to capture our day! We did a first look and although her and her staff were there it was still our private moment as they snapped photos of me and hubby being ourselves (crying, hot messes)! They made it very private and it was a great chance for me and my husband to say hello and get some of our nerves to settle down a bit prior to walking down the aisle. I can honestly say I am so glad we went with Christina from Zen to tell the story of our wedding day and I cannot wait to work with her soon for our maternity photos! She has become a part of our family! Do not hestiate to book her; she is worth it and books up fast! And spring for film if you can because there is a visible difference between digital and film!

..just kidding. Well, at least about the getting married again part. Christina from Zen Photography is the nicest, most accommodating, talented, and professional photographer. period. She squeezed us into her already jam-packed schedule for 2013, and bent over backwards to accommodate our crazy schedules and express timeline. We're not exactly into cutesy, posed pictures, but she made us feel 100% comfortable around her, and captured both of our personalities into our beautiful photos! She snuck into our alma mater's library for our incredibly unique engagement shoot. At the wedding she managed our giant Italian families, kept us on schedule, and even helped sew up my bustle when it ripped! We were even thrilled to get a sneak preview of our pictures after the wedding! We couldn't have asked for a better photographer to capture our special day!

Christina was an absolute joy to work with and by far my favorite vendor for all of my wedding services. She was professional, responsive and incredibly flexible. My husband is in the military and she was phenomenal with our constantly changing schedule. Christina shot our engagement session, a boudoir session for me and our wedding. Christina selected the perfect location for our engagement session and was spot on with our themes of classy and rustic. The photos were incredible and we received numerous compliments. During my boudoir session she made me feel completely comfortable and the pictures were incredible (she does a phenomenal job of accentuating your positive attributes and minimizing others). For our wedding, Christina took care of everything and alleviated a lot of the organizational stress. Christina did an incredible job of organizing our rambunctious wedding party and not to mention took incredible photos, capturing all of the important and meaningful details of our special day. During our reception the photobooth was a huge hit and the slideshow preview was the icing on the cake. We recently received the film prints from the day and were speechless! After seeing Christina's work from an old classmate's Facebook, I knew I had to have her capture our special day!! Please book this photographer ASAP. She is amazing and you will not be disappointed. My husband and I decided to go with Christina as our photographer because she has an amazing unique talent. We didn't want our photos to have a prom stiff look and from her photos on her website and what she showed us we did not get the sense that was her style. We also like the artistic look from her photos and we felt she was a perfect fit for our style and vision for the photos. She also felt very comfortable with her from the first meeting. We decided to do an engagement session with her after booking her for the wedding. I would highly recommend doing this regardless of who you pick. It gives you a chance to get to know your photographer and vice versa. We were very pleased with the session and knew we made the right choice. Our engagement photos were beautiful and we got many compliments. During the session Christina made us feel very comfortable which is not an easy task since we are both on the shy side and do not like getting our photos taken. Christina is hands down the most passionately talented lady I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Her engagement session is a MUST! She sees great shots in the most unlikely of places, which was fantastic. Who knew my ring could look so nice in a patch of moss? Christina did. Who stopped traffic so we could sit in the middle of the road for a great shot? Christina did. Christina and co went to great lengths not only to make our photographs look great, but to make them unique to us. On our wedding day Christina and co were totally non-intrusive, but didn’t miss a single shot. She knew what I wanted and I am really thankful she made my photo wishes come true. I cannot even begin to type all of the compliments we have heard from our guests about not only our amazing photographs, but awesome our photographer was. Christina was absolutely wonderful! If you are looking for quality, service and value you have it right there. She isnt just your "wedding photographer" she becomes your friend. Someone you can rely and count on. She was my favorite vendor to work with and definitely the most important! She contently was offering a hand in anything we needed help with and always wants to be there for us. Not once, did I get "stressed out" or "worried" she wasnt going to follow through. We had proofs up AT OUR WEDDING... Yes, at our wedding... she made a little slideshow for us and everyone to see, it was amazing!! Everyone at my wedding said how great she was- she was everywhere.... got everything I could have imagined and more. At one point my grandpa was dancing with my cousin and I absolutely wanted that picture... I went over to her and said "Hey, can you go get that shot"... her response "I already got it". How easy was that!! She was so fun and loving to work with, she is very down to earth and not once did I ever feel uncomfortable with her. She has such creative talent that you should truly not miss! Did I mention she was crawling on the floor to get that "perfect" shot?!? How awesome! It rained on our wedding day but you wouldn't have thought that by looking at the pictures. She had an idea for everything! Christina brought an awesome co-photographer with her that day, I trusted her to only bring the best and she sure did. We used Christina and her staff for our labor day weekend wedding at the Stroudsmoor in PA. We lived far from christina and the venue, so we chose her based on her online portfolio alone and never really had a meeting. We booked her with high hopes that she would deliver a photojournalistic approach and create beautiful art that we could treasure forever. When we met for the first time ( our engagement session) and saw the results we were so excited and knew we had booked someone with lots of talent and spunk. Christina also went above and beyond by switching around our engagement session on a frantic panic call for snow and with us living so far away, she quickly rearranged and made it work for us. We were not dissapointed at all with our wedding day photos and coulnt be more pleased! Book with her if you can and you will be thrilled!

We used Zen (Christina) for our wedding on 9-15-12 at Mountain View Manor in Glen Spey NY, and I can honestly say she was the perfect photographer. My husband and I saw her pics online and wanted to know more, hers were the only pictures that gave me a "WOW" reaction, and as soon as we met her we both knew she was perfect. She set us at ease and made us both feel more comfortable, during the engagement session she was willing to hike with us through an abandoned town beach/park and onto a rocky outcropping over the lake for the best pictures ever. Our wedding pictures are out of this world, she really captures the moment in a way I didn't think was possible. She captured the emotion we were feeling and did it in a beautiful way. During the reception I didn't even realize her and her assistant were there! Looking at the pictures now I wonder "How did she get that??!". She was able to photograph every important, fun, emotional, and beautiful detail without being intrusive. If you want amazing magazine quality shots with just the right amount of art to them, go with Zen.

Christina and her assistant did our photography for our wedding this past June and they were professional, stylish, creative and made us feel very comfortable. Christina is amazing! She did our engagement pictures, wedding pictures, and a boudoir session. Christina has a great artistic eye and really knows how to capture amazing photos. She's a ton of fun to work with, made me comfortable during the bouroir session, and made us both comfortable during our engagement session. During the wedding she captured some amazing shots and she wasn't up in everyone's face. One of my bridesmaids said she was like a ninja because it's like she wasn't even there yet she took a bunch of amazing pictures. I've gotten several compliments on how good the pictures came out. Christina is simply amazing! I absolutely love working with her. She produces very high quality work and you can tell she really enjoys what she does. She also did our guest book, which was absolutely beautiful! Christina did our Christmas card last year and will be doing them again this year. She customizes everything to our liking and the quality is far superior than anywhere else. Don't look any further for a photographer - Christina is your lady! She will not disappoint! She continually amazes me with everything she produces, i.e. our wedding album draft is amazing! She clearly knows what she's doing and she does it very well. People don't lie when they say your wedding day will be over in a blink of an eye... as a recent bride I can definitely attest to that. That's why photography is such an important investment in your wedding budget. I used Zen Photography for my wedding this summer and could not be happier with the outcomes. Christina ia absolutely amazing! She is fun and creative and put some order into family photos when I thought I was going to turn into bridezilla! Did I mention her photos are fantastic!! And mid-way through my reception she already had a slideshow up for everyone to see??!! As well as cute little cards with our website on them, as well as some pics from our engagement shoot. We highly recommend Christina and Zen Photography to capture the moments of your special day! Christina has a great personality. She is funny, genuine, and warm which made us feel so relaxed in front of the camera. We experienced a variety of weather on our wedding day, but Christina never skipped a beat and adapted to what was going on at that moment. Christina and her crew are skilled, dedicated, and personable photographers who produce wonderful results and are a pleasure with whom to work. My advice to any bride-to-be would be to first add Zen Photography to your list of wedding vendors, then, during your engagement session and wedding day, say “yes” to every idea that Christina has for shots and backdrops. You may hesitate at first to hop in the car and be whisked away for a few minutes, move furniture around, or walk through some rough terrain, but you will be rewarded with beautiful, unique photos that you will surely adore and treasure. Don’t worry- she won’t let anything happen to your dress, shoes, hair, or makeup in the process! Even though Christina and co. will make certain to document your entire wedding day, do not expect to feel as though you missed your wedding because you were being photographed or to remember your wedding day as one long photo shoot. There will be times when you do not even notice their unobtrusive presence, but don’t be surprised when you have 600 beautiful pictures of your wedding and guests reporting that they saw the photographer “doing splits” and (other impressive moves!) to get the perfect shot. With Christina’s ideal combination of a polite, down-to-earth, and friendly demeanor and professional, creative eye, you can feel comfortable requesting any shots or style from her, telling her what you like and don’t like, what shots you need and don’t need, etc., and count on her to produce an album you absolutely love but didn’t necessarily expect.

I had the very best experience with Zen Photography. Christina is the most amazing photographer and the funnest person to work with!! Christina took our engagement photos, a boudoir photo shoot, our wedding, and I had the privilege of helping out on her first styled photo shoot, so I have worked with her in quite a few different scenerios. I can not recommend Zen Photography enough!! Our wedding day was a blast, she captured the most beautiful moments! (Our first look photos: I cried like a baby and she still managed to make me look good!) My guests still can't stop talking about the fun they had with the photobooth-and I just received all the pictures from it in a beautiful album! Priceless!! She is 100% professional, you will never see her, she will never take you away from enjoying your party but yet the pictures are like she was next to you all night! I can't say enough good things about Christina and Zen Photography. She helped me out every step of the way from engagement photos all the way up to the wedding day. She was so easy to work with and patient with me and my bridal stress, I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Christina is so incredible I can't recommend her enough! She is sweet, goofy and has such a sensitive eye for capturing the genuine moments from your wedding that make your own. She had given birth a mere 5 weeks before our ceremony and because of this brought on another photographer (Fran Ze, an artist in her own right) to help out free of charge so nothing would be missed. Both ladies rolled on the ground (literally) to get us the best shots. Their coverage ranged from artistic to traditional, from photojournalistic to posed, but even the posed shots never looked stiff or stuffy.
