Christine and her team are beyond amazing!! I could not imagine my wedding without them. I used her team for day of coordination and it felt like soo much more than that. They really went over and above. They are so sweet and so organized. They are so helpful and I'm beyond grateful to them!!!!
The Christine Wheat Events Team was so incredible to work with while planning our wedding! We hired them for Day of Coordination services and they went above and beyond to make our wedding the most perfect day ever! They created a minute by minute schedule for the day that helped make everything go so smoothly and so stress free! I cannot say enough good things about Laura & Lindsey who helped set up our decor, coordinate all of our different vendors, and make sure my husband and I had the best day ever. If you’re on the fence about hiring a day of coordinator, it is so worth it and the Christine Wheat Event Team goes above and beyond!!
I was concerned that a stranger planning my daughter's wedding would make it less personal and "less special". I never should have hesitated.
We are so thankful that we hired Christine Wheat.
We worked with Christine and her team for fifteen months during the planning process. This did not take away the planning fun as I had feared. On the contrary, Christine trimmed down the "shopping around tasks" for the bride and groom and presented them with a few of the best choices ( vendors, menus, etc.) for them to decide for themselves. She did a wonderful job keeping the necessary timeline. She knew exactly WHAT needed to be booked WHEN. Time after time we saw evidence from outside sources that if we had not secured certain components when Christine advised, we would have been disappointed and not able to get our first choice.
Jordan Kratz was our Lead Planner and the wedding turned out flawless. I will always refer to her and Laura as the "Dynamic Duo".
I am grateful for their attention to detail as well as their "calming" presence. This M.O.B. (also known as "control freak") couldn't help turning to Jordan on a few occasions during the day asking a last minute question or relaying a last minute idea - only to be told (VERY GENTLY and PATIENTLY) that it was already done or already in process.
At the end of this perfect day Jordan and Laura somehow carefully packed up EVERYTHING from the reception and returned it to our hotel so that the Bride's family would be able to attend and enjoy the after party.
I am SO GRATEFUL that this team created and then orchestrated such a beautiful and memorable wedding weekend for our daughter and son-in-law!
Christine & team are absolutely incredible. The moment we met Christine, we could tell that she immediately understood the vision we had for our wedding and that she would get the job done.
Her expertise and personal connections made the planning process so smooth. If you’re planning to work with vendors in the Saratoga/Albany/Lake George area like we did, you’ll often find yourself talking to people who cannot stop singing Christine’s praises. In fact, one of our vendors said to us “You’d be surprised how many bad wedding planners there are out there. Christine is the best. She’s the Lebron James of wedding planners.” This turned out to be 100% true.
Christine was on top of it every step of the way. Throughout the planning process, she was great at advising where to start, timelines to follow, and what to expect. She is extremely detail oriented. She creates a minute-to-minute schedule for the wedding day which made us feel confident that everything would run smoothly. She’s extremely responsive with any questions we had and because of her experience working with local vendors, she had no problem reaching out on our behalf when we weren’t getting quick responses from them.
On our wedding day, Christine came through for us completely. There was not a single detail that fell through the cracks. When a small problem came up, she took care of it right away and didn’t give us a second to worry about it. At the end of the night, when she was about to leave she reluctantly informed us that she had a bad cold and was feeling pretty terrible but she didn’t want to leave us hanging or have us worry about it so she didn’t mention it earlier. We were completely stunned because she was running around all day, taking care of absolutely everything. Her professionalism and dedication to her clients are truly unmatched.
Christine & team go above and beyond and you will not question for a second whether or not it’s worth hiring them. They are truly the best.
Hiring Jordan and the team was arguably the best investment we made in putting together our wedding. They put together an ultra-detailed rundown of the days events and made sure everyone was in the right place at the right time without interrupting the flow. They eliminated all the stress for my husband and I so we could just enjoy it. I will always recommend Jordan and team to all who get married! Cannot go wrong.
We hired CWEvents for day of coordination at our two daughters' weddings and could not have more thrilled. After the first wedding, there was no doubt that Jordan would be with us again for #2. She may have been our first call as soon as the date was set. Most recently this past new year's eve, Jordan guided us through our amazing wedding @ the Adelphi Hotel in Saratoga Springs. Several months leading up to the event, she was readily available for just about anything. Her calm, yet take charge, demeanor was a blessing during a very hectic weekend. Her attention to detail and always pleasant attitude put everyone at ease and set everything in place to happen exactly as we envisioned. Thank you Christine, Jordan and team - there is no doubt that your presence and expertise elevated both our experience and that of our guests.
My husband and I feel like we had the best wedding ever and that would not have happened if it weren’t for Christine and her team. Christine listens to who you are and doesn’t push you towards anything that doesn’t feel right to you. She has great relationships with the best vendors and I felt totally supported throughout the planning process and wedding weekend. Christine even saved the day when my bustle wasn’t working and she pinned up the entire back of my dress with safety pins and you would never know!
Hiring Christine A. Wheat Special Events Firm was the best decision that we made. Jordan and Christine were absolutely amazing! Jordan was our lead and was extremely organized, answered all of our questions and coordinated all of the vendors. Jordan was an amazing wedding planner and deeply loves what she does. She created our minute to minute timeline, made sure everything ran smoothly / on time the day of the wedding and fixed anything that went wrong behind the scenes so that we wouldn't be stressed out and could just enjoy our day. She also took behind the scene photos the day of the wedding so that we would have some the next day while we waited for the edited versions and was by my side for whatever I needed. Thanks to CWEvents firm our wedding day was perfect and I am forever grateful. We couldn't have asked for a better day of coordinator!
Christine and were team were amazing. They were responsive, organized, had such a positive attitude, and of course, coordinated an incredible wedding weekend. Hiring CWEvents was the best decision we made! We choose the Day-of Coordination package and we were blown away by the service we received starting months before the wedding and all the way through our big day. We dealt with Jordan leading up to our wedding day and she is absolutely phenomenal. She is extremely organized, detail oriented, and responsive. She put our minds at ease the first day we spoke to her. Her minute to minute timeline, which also included our list of vendors and items we needed for the day of, was a life saver! She was only a phone call or text away whenever I had a question or needed advice or feedback. She is the best of the best when it comes to coordination and planning!
On the day of our wedding Laura was with me every second of the day, starting early in the morning while I was getting ready, to the very last minute of our wedding when I got on the bus back to the hotel. She exceeded all of my expectations and went above and beyond to make sure the day was flawless. She was always one step ahead and was right by my side making sure I had what I needed. I didn’t realize how much I needed her until that day and I truly don’t know what I would have done without her. Every single person in our wedding party commented on how amazing she was.
You would be doing yourself a disservice by not hiring CWEvents. It doesn’t matter what capacity you hire them for, they will exceed every expectation you ever had and think of things you didn’t even know you needed to think about. They made our wedding day extra special and we are so grateful for everything they did!
Christine and her team are the absolute best. I hired Christine for consultations and day of event coordination and her expertise guided me so well through out the wedding planning process. She is honest, practical, and as I started to hit up against my budget she had plenty of DIY recommendations to help me still execute my vision without breaking the bank. When it came to day of execution I felt very confident having Christine and Jordan by my side. They were truly my biggest advocate the day of the wedding. When mishaps occurred with a vendor Christine and her team were on it - troubleshooting and resolving things immediately. It was such a relief to be able to just relax and enjoy my day. Our guests consistently tell us how much our wedding flowed perfectly and every detail seemed carefully thought through. I cannot recommend them enough!
There aren't enough words to describe how amazing Christine and her team are. I can’t underscore how she is worth every single penny.
I got engaged November 2019. In December 2019 we interviewed two wedding planning services, both from referrals from other brides in the area. Our main concern for my fiancée and I was we lived in Washington, DC but wanted to get married in upstate New York. One interview wanted to talk about frivolous things, such as we liked about each other (we were getting married we didn’t really think this was useful for wedding) not Christine, she wanted to hear our vision, what our goals were, and what both my fiancé and I wanted. We initially hired Christine to help us look for a venue, we flew up MLK weekend and went and looked at 3 venues with her and Jordan. They walked us through every aspect, and our vision. At the third venue Christine sat in a freezing farmhouse and guided us to our venue selection. Let me be clear, she did not pressure us in any capacity to the most expensive venue, she wanted us comfortable, happy. She was respectful of my mother’s disability, and my father’s multiple repetitive questions. That day we chose our venue, and we chose our full-time wedding planner.
While a full-time wedding planner is an investment, I look back on our wedding 3 months later and can tell you that without her we would not have had our dream wedding. Let me be clear also, if you budget only accommodates a part time planner, chose her and her team the cost is worth the value . She will go to bat for you with every vendor, and the venue. We had to add a tent to our venue to accommodate due to covid. She advocated to the OWNER of the resort on our behalf and secured the last tent in the Northeast for our wedding day, as everyone realized they could have the capacity they wanted for their wedding during June of 2021. She attended our tasting, toured rehearsal dinner venues with my in-laws, answered all of my families questions time and time. She went and looked at our band (silver arrow) while we couldn’t and chose the most amazing singers for us who had the dance floor rocking all night.
Jordan her assistant is also an amazing planner in her own right. Our invitations were somehow sent to a 40th birthday in Montana. Jordan and Christine got on the phone with printer, found another printer, and quickly fixed the problem. If I was on my own, I would be out so much money and would have added so much more stress planning my own wedding. They consistently updated us on every problem and the solution. There isn’t a better duo in the area.
Then 3 weeks before our wedding, I broke my ankle. She was the first call in the ER, not my parents but to Christine, she immediately worked with the venue on logistics to ensure our wedding day was as perfect as it could be. Golf carts to move me around, moving the wedding location so I could walk (hobble) down the aisle, an extra chair under the tale to put my foot up to rest. Every step of the way I felt heard, appreciated, and respected. She was always there answering questions even at 11pm (Don't be me).
Beyond that, I can attest that Christine is one of those few people that has best qualities and character. She is kind, generous, funny, protective, loving, and will give you the honest answer. She will be our planner for every major event in our lives moving forward. Hire her, hire Jordan, full time, part time, day of. She. Is. The. Best.
We hired Jordan for day of coordination and it was SO WORTH IT!! She began working with us about 3 months in advance as we began working out the day of timeline and final details. She is really an expert and was so helpful with our hundreds of questions and made herself so accessible. There were so many things we just didn't think of or didn't know how to handle that she guided us through. She attended our rehearsal and we became even more thrilled with our decision. Day of she was by our side from the start and her team helped with all of the last minute details - assembling menus, placing signage, seating charts, etc. Anything we needed she was there for and willing and able to help. The first thing we told my parents the next morning was that it was the best money we could have included in our budget. We already can't wait to work with Jordan and Christine again for my sister's wedding. If you work with them your life will be easier!
Dishonest. Doesn’t abide by own contract. Avoid working with CW Events, LLC
I will start by saying this is difficult and unprecedented times for both parties due to COVID. For all small businesses and couples, like myself, who had to unexpectedly cancel their weddings. There is no ideal outcome for either party. However when cancellation is necessary, both parties have to rely on the agreed upon terms of the contract in order to determine what is fair. Unfortunately, Christine Wheat Events LLC doesn’t honor the terms in their own contract. Thus, taking deposits that’s not rightfully theirs.
I hired CW Events in February for ‘day of’ wedding coordination for a summer wedding. We made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding for several reasons surrounding COVID. Our venue was in agreement of our cancellation and as a result, gave us a full refund of our deposits.
The CW Events contract states “Cancellation Policy: if an event is cancelled prior to the date, any determination of the allocation time of the money to the services must be paid out at cancellation” We had zero contact with CW Events at this time and provided no information about our wedding plans given the service was several months away, The contract terms are clear, no work had been conducted on our wedding and therefore, no money is due or shall be kept. To be clear, there was no additional language in the contract regarding deposits being non refundable.
Christine acted completely unethically and tried to pressure and manipulate us in a direction that didn’t make sense for our families. She tried to introduce in contract terms via email (which is obviously not valid). For several weeks, she went completely dark on communication as we tried to enforce the terms of her own cancellation policy.
My advice is there are tons of awesome vendors/people in the wedding industry that want to do right by their clients even during times of uncertainty. CW Events is not one. Please don’t work with any vendors that can’t abide by terms of their contracts. In my opinion, this behavior is no different than stealing.
We had a small wedding, but I knew from the beginning we would need a day of coordinator so myself, my husband, and our parents could actually enjoy the day instead of having to act as point people. I originally spoke with Christine on the phone, who assured me that her organizatoin would be able to provide all of the day of services we would need. Once we booked, Christine let me know that we would be working with Jordan, who was abolutely amazing! I'm not sure how we would have gotten through the day without her. I had several planning sessions with her and each time we spoke, she was professional and knowledgable. She always responded quickly to my quetsions and made me feel like I could depend on her. On the day of the event, she came with Tatianna, who was incredibly professional as well. They handled all of the small problems that arose as if it was nothing. Jordan thought of so many small things I never would have considered (such as putting a small pack of tissues on our table for when our family members gave their speeches) that made the day run much more smoothly.
Christine was indispensable to our wedding. From insider tips about our venue (The Sagamore) to crucial advice and information about all of our vendors to coordinating and dealing with day-of logistics, I cannot say enough about how much Christine and her team's contributions made our wedding more perfect than we could have hoped for. We had a number of long phone calls where she listened to our preferences and price points and provided recommendations on vendors - each one of which turned out to be amazing. For us, who lived a few hours away from The Sagamore and were totally unfamiliar with the vendors in the area, Christine's experience, expertise and guidance proved especially important. She also gave helpful recommendations based on our preferences on where we could cut back and where we should be putting our money. She and her team made sure that everything ran smoothly and any last minute hiccups were taken care of so that my now husband and I along with our bridal party could relax (as much as that's possible) and enjoy the day (which was possible!). Our bridal party actually and our parents commented on how in control and on top of things Christine and her team were. Just one example of how Christine was on top of things that never would have crossed my mind - when we were cutting our cake the handle of the knife we were using snapped off and Christine somehow managed to hand us another knife to cut the cake within seconds. I have no idea how she got a backup knife so quickly, but she did and the video is fantastic. We had an absolutely amazing wedding day and I attribute much of that to Christine and her team.
Before you even read this review you should call and book Christine and her team, it will be the best decision you make. We had the pleasure of working with Christine for about 18 months on various details such as hotels, transportation, flowers, day of stationary, welcome bags and day of coordination. I will repeat myself when I say it was the best decision we ever made. Christine took away so much stress, she thought of things we never dreamed of. She took our vision and helped bring it to life. For the week leading up to the wedding and the entire wedding weekend, Christine and her team were invaluable. All the little hiccups that came up (trust me something always does) we hadn’t the slightest clue they even happened. She was always available to us and checked in constantly making sure everything was all set. The little added touches that were unexpected left lasting impressions on our heart (rose petals in the bedroom, extra cider donuts at the end of the night - thanks Ali). I could really go on and on about them – outstanding, efficient and exceeded all expectations.
Thank you, Christine and team, for everything you have done. My assistants on the wedding day were incredible and I could not thank them enough!!! The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I found myself having to hound via email to get updates on hotel blocks, day of schedules, and making call bookings. It made the process a little stressful but overall once you get the details hammered out having everything done for you is a great feeling!
I met with Christine early in the wedding planning process for a couple consultations to go over the wedding basics and make sure I was on the right track. She was extremely helpful and answered all my questions but more importantly gave me the confidence that I was making the right decisions. A week before my wedding the catering manager/planner at our venue changed and I was worried that the day wouldn't go smoothly. I heard from another vendor that Christine was still available and called to book her right away for day of coordination. She was prompt in helping me create a schedule for the wedding day and even came to the rehearsal. The morning /early afternoon of our wedding day it poured and Christine made sure to keep me calm and helped me stay dry for pictures. Once the rain cleared up she worked with the venue very hard to make sure the ceremony was set up outside where we wanted and not in the alternate rain location. Christine and her team made sure the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were set up perfectly, organized a boat to meet us for pictures, helped me bustle my dress and change my hair, and made sure the fireworks show happened before the next storm came through. I can't thank Christine, Jess and Ali enough for making our wedding day so perfect and stress free!
We had the most beautiful and well coordinated wedding, thanks to Ali and her team's planning expertise. We engaged CW Planning to provide day of coordination. Our venue was a private club and we had all of our guests staying on campus so there were plenty of logistical items to consider. Ali made it seem easy though, and I did not have one thing to worry about on the day of the wedding. Everything was executed just as I dreamed it would be and we had so much fun. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing us with such a lovely day!
I don't even know where to begin with how awful my experience was...
Let me first start by saying my family has worked with Christine in the past for 3 other weddings. The first 2 were good & the last one she had worked on last October was awful. My cousin had worked with Christine planning details of her wedding. The week of the wedding, Christine informed my cousin that she would not be their on the day of but would send her assistants instead. Her assistants did not provide the same level of Christine and seemed overwhelmed & lost the majority of the day. The bride even wrote Christine and email sharing her dissatisfaction & Christine never bothered to respond.
Last October after my fiance had proposed, I still felt a sort of loyalty to Christine (even after the lousy job she had done for my cousin), as she had done my sisters wedding a few years back as well and thought the awful service for my cousin was a one time fluke. So I reached out to Christine & booked her as my first vendor right away & even made sure she outlined that she would be present on my wedding day on the contract.
I should have went with my gut and NEVER given her a second chance.
She sent me a 10 page planning packet which took me weeks to complete. Once I finished, I reached out to Christine to schedule our first meeting and that's when all hell broke loose. She waited a week to respond and informed me that she was canceling our contract 5 MONTHS BEFORE MY WEDDING because her cousin got knocked up & chose to get married on that same day. What professional do you know in the weddings or events industry that cancels contracts nonchalantly with 5 months until a clients wedding just because something came up?!
At this point I'm panicked & fuming that this women I had entrusted with the biggest day of my life & that I had paid $1,350 is canceling my contract just because something came up.
I asked her to find a replacement comparable to her service & prices for me. She put me in touch with another company whose prices were over double hers and offered half of the staff. Needless to say, I scrambled for weeks on my own to find a replacement but am much happier with the new company I hired.
She pretty much mailed me back my money, cancelled my contract, & left me for dead.
So future brides, watch out for Christine A. Wheat! She is not a reliable vendor to book for your wedding and she does not honor the commitments she makes. She won't even try to rectify a bad situation. Her level of service has vastly deteriorated and I'm sure you can find other vendors that would do a much better job for you. I've never met a more unprofessional woman in my life and my family will never use her services again!
I seriously can not put into words how amazing Christine and her team are. They are on top of literally every single detail and details that you would never even think of. Christine and team are some of the nicest people you will meet who have an amazing ability to think on their feet and come up with instant solutions to even the biggest issues that arise on wedding day. I would have gladly paid double or triple her fees as the service was impeccable. I will most definitely be hiring her again and recommend her to any bride!
Christine Wheat was by far the most important vendor that we used. I was a little skeptical about spending more money than we need to, but we just had our wedding this past weekend, and I can definitely say that there is no way that we could have enjoyed ourselves last weekend as much as we did without her. This is a once in a lifetime event, and with all of the other decisions that have to be made, it was nice to have her take some of that off of our plate!
She put together a very detailed schedule and communicated to all of our wedding vendors so that everyone was on the same page. The day of the wedding, she was making sure that everyone was in place and that we had everything that we needed which made us both feel like we could let go of the logistics and just concentrate on ourselves and our guests, which looking back was really priceless for us!
I am really grateful for her work, and for her helping me and my wife be able to really enjoy our time. She is the best at what she does and I was really impressed!
Extremely Disorganized...and a lot of mistakes with no communication...not worth the money.
Christine and Jillian were a tremendous help during my wedding process. I only needed day of coordination, but they were involved through out the process. It was great to have someone reliable there. They handled everything the day of for us. There was nothing that we had to worry about. They were worth every penny! We were glad that we had them! The only problem was that being an anxious bride, my emails may not have been responded to as quickly as I would have wanted. But, they did do a wonderful job and made sure that everything my fiance and I wanted was taken care of. They kept us at ease the entire day and ensured that all problems were handled.
When I met Christine, I liked her immediately. From her letter-pressed business cards to the coordinated paperclip, I knew she was going to be my wedding planner. Within half an hour of getting home from that first meeting, I emailed her and said that I couldn't imagine having anyone else plan our wedding.
I was a pretty picky bride from the moment I got engaged (the type that cared more about the flower arrangements and the invitations and calligraphy more than the dress), and she was wonderful to work with. With my many meetings, emails, and texts, Christine was able to capture my day and I was in awe when I saw how my dream played out.
My husband and I have gotten so many compliments on our wedding, that it was the best they had ever been to. It never would have been such a beautiful day without Christine and her team.
I highly recommend having a wedding planner. On that day, with things going so fast, it makes SUCH a difference to know that everything is taken care of, and that there is a team there to help with whatever is needed.
