My daughter and her fiance decided to speed up their wedding day due to illness. Christine was extremely accommodating and helpful during this difficult, but joyous, time. She was very professional and took the most amazing pictures with unique poses. We received the pictures in a extremely timely manner. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

We had an absolute blast working with Christine and her second throughout our day. She took plenty of time in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding to get to know us, our personalities and backgrounds, and patiently look through pages of my Pinterest inspirations for certain shots, just to make sure she could cater everything to our vision and use her talents to go above and beyond our expectations. Our other vendors could seamlessly work around her as she hit every desired moment that we asked for and be completely open to spontaneous inspiration. She was also completely professional, flexible and sensitive to certain familial complexities that I'd made her aware of beforehand. Christine photographed our daughter's wedding this past May and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was prompt, generous with her time and talent - full of great ideas and a genuinely nice person. We are in love with the photographs and my daughter and son- in -law were ecstatic when they saw them. I was concerned about our Chapel photos as the place is very dark inside and flash photography was not allowed - Christine did a beautiful job and I am thrilled with all the shots she was able to capture inside. She had great advice on how to "wrangle" large family groups in a timely manner and we got some lovely extended family pictures. Having Christine photograph our wedding was fantastic. My husband and I had an intimate ceremony in our home with our closest friends and family. The best part, our friends thought they were coming to a holiday party, surprise! Christine captured the evening perfectly. We asked that guest be photographed candidly and show everyone just having a great time. The photos that Christine took of my husband and I were so cool. We were surprised with the first snow of the season on our wedding evening and it made for some get shots. We decided to do a small elopement out in Wawayanda State Park next to this beautiful lake and for only having 5 guests, Christine did an amazing job capturing the beauty of the area we were in as well as our special moment. She knew the park very well and assisted our officiant to get to the location when he was lost! While our time waiting, she was efficient with the time and took individual photos of myself and my, now, husband to make use of the time we had with her!! She was considerate and with great knowledge of the photographs and the kind of photos that should be taken. I will find it very hard to sum up all of the wonderful things about Christine Merson Photography. From the start of my wedding planning , she was always there for me answering any questions I had , I texted her, she texted me right back, she made me feel so comfortable so I did not have to worry about a thing. Exceptional would be the word that I would use to describe Christine Merson and the level of professionalism, and sincerity that she brings to her work. When my now husband, then fiancé and I, were trying to decide between photographers for our engagement pictures and wedding pictures we ultimately decided to go with Christine because she has a true sense of space and an unique attention to detail. She was able to create beautiful angles and capture our honest feelings during our engagement photography session and during our wedding. Christine was amazing on our wedding day. Our photos are incredible, a mix of poses and candid shots that truly capture our wedding day. Our daughter was 18 months old at the time of our wedding and Christine took wonderful shots of her before the ceremony with each of us and afterwards as a family. We will treasure these always. My parents and I hired Christine to do an engagement photo shoot for my sister and her fiancé as an engagement gift. Right from the start, Christine was patient, flexible, responsive, and helpful. My sister didn’t know where she wanted to take the pictures so Christine suggested several beautiful locations and the results were amazing! Christine was also flexible when the groom got sick and they had to unfortunately change the date of the shoot. At the actual photo shoot, my sister told me that Christine was wonderful to work with. She was timely, professional, and she made my sister and her fiancé feel at ease from beginning to end. She was very down to earth and funny and just overall pleasant to work with. After the photo shoot, they were so excited to see the results, so Christine worked hard over the next few days to get them their pictures and they were ecstatic! They loved every single one of them. When a person has a passion and love for what they do, whether it be a chef, master carpenter or craftsman it becomes apparent in the finished product. This is rings true for Christine as well..although we have only seen the photos she took, they came out amazing..we know the finished product is going to be amazing as well based on the proofs...(do they still call digital pics proofs?)..Christine is a friendly, caring and talented photographer who will make your event personal to her..highly recommend you consider Christine for your next event.

Dear Prospective Couples, This summer I had the opportunity to hire Christine Merson for my wedding. Besides the decision to marry my husband, she was the best decision of the day. If you have the opportunity to hire this talented professional I would recommend it. You will not be disappointed. Christine planned out the timeline for the entire event with me a week before the big day. Christine is a wonderful listener and was able to provide insightful suggestions to make sure the day was a stress-free as possible. Because of her years of experience, her advice really changed the course of the event in positive ways. Moments before the outdoor ceremony, the skies opened up and there was a downpour. The venue switched the ceremony to inside. Christine and her second photographer adapted to the situation as if that was the way the ceremony was originally planned. My dad was recovering from major surgery the day of the wedding. My father-in-law and godmother were also recovering from medical issues. Four days before the wedding, my husband came down with a nasty virus. Christine and her employee were able to capture everyone with a smile and with their best foot forward. Christine captured so many special and intimate moments of my wedding day without being intrusive. I will cherish each documented memory for years to come. Christine literally made my wedding a day I will never forget. My husband and I were working with a very limited budget and considered not even having a photographer but some friends were kind enough to connect us with Christine and thank god they did. We were planning on crowd sourcing our friends photos afterwards and as much as we cherish all of our friend's photos, they don't hold a candle to Christine's work. Christine took the most spectacular photos of our favorite day ever. The entire day felt magical and Christine was really able to capture that for us. From the get go she was incredibly easy to work with, responding promptly to my numerous emails and questions: I didn't want any staged photos and she gently encouraged me to have family portraits and wedding party photos done - which I now of course love, I was unsure about when to have the photos taken, the list of question goes on and she helped with all of them. She helped go over the shot list before the wedding and was very supportive towards my vision while also using her expertise to guide me in the right direction. When she arrived she immediately put me at ease, she needed hardly anytime at all for set-up and jumped right in to what was definitely the most chaotic part of the wedding (the getting ready). I felt like I would feel very awkward posing for photos and she took all of our group shots and portraits so quickly they were totally painless I hardly knew they were happening! Plus they came out so beautifully I really don't know how she did it so quickly! Honestly I really could keep gushing forever, the photos are so perfect. Christine shot both my wedding and engagement photos, and I’ve received hundreds of compliments on both. In fact, our engagement photos were featured in The Knot New York Print edition. Christine masterfully captured me twirling around my husband under the Williamsburg bridge from across the street, as a man rode by in a bicycle. She has a strong instinct for what poses and angles look best for staged photos, but also has a great ability to capture candid moments and turn them in to lifelong memories. On the day of my wedding, Christine was a welcome calming presence in addition to a very effective executor. She knew the shots I wanted and orchestrated them perfectly without interrupting any of the festivities. When helping you select the photos you like out of the thousands taken, Christine has a keen ability to curate the best images. I worked with Christine for a few services and I am always thrilled with the outcome. Aside from the wedding day, she did an engagement shoot, which we then used for save the date cards and for a guest book. She designed and printed both, and they came out beautifully. I got so many compliments! She of course was our photographer the day of the wedding, and along with her assistant Brian we had so much fun even on a long, hot summer day. We got all the pictures we wanted and then some, and I'm still obsessed with looking through them six months later. The photo styles range from traditional to more photojournalistic, so I felt like I had a wide variety of looks represented. She was helpful throughout the whole process of wedding planning and worked so well with everyone (a picky groom, divorced parents, grandparents, etc). Not a moment was missed! If you're like myself and don't like having your photo taken, Christine makes you feel right at ease, and anything to put me at ease on my wedding day is welcomed. My wife and I weren't great as posing ourselves and Christine and her crew were great at giving direction to make us look comfortable and natural. The pictures turned out amazing and I couldn't have asked for better photos. Christine got all the shots we wanted and then some that we never would've thought to capture...and most of the time we barely even knew that she was there. We wanted our photos for thank you cards and Christine was great at getting us our photos in time and she always responded to our emails and calls almost immediately. We're expecting a baby in several months and we've already contacted Christine to do photograph our baby!

My husband and I joke around that we have a house priest and a house photographer, our go-tos who will be there for our family for as long as they're around. We first worked with Christine Merson on our engagement photos when she was just starting out and were so impressed with the finished product. Not only did we feel incredibly comfortable working with her and taking direction from her, but her style of photography was exactly what we were looking for and the turn around time on the photos was incredible. Christine did a beautiful job on our wedding. It was a challenge for me to make decisions about photography because neither my husband nor I like to have our picture taken. However, when we spoke to Christine and looked at her work, we knew we were a match. Christine's forthrightness allowed us to really trust her. Christine suggested that we do an engagement session to increase our comfort in front of the camera, and it really worked. By the day of our wedding, we were very comfortable with Christine and our picture taking style. Plus, we got some great shots to use at the shower and the wedding itself. We also appreciated how easily Christine and her assistant blended into the event. They were everywhere, but never intrusive.
