Christopher Perkins, the artist behind Christopher J Creative, discovered his love for photography in high school. Honing his craft through college, he began to offer his skills to couples looking to preserve their wedding day with a skillful, creative approach. Now, with a wide range of weddings under his belt, Chris offers a versatile, adaptable service to every client.
Chris loves to meet clients before their special day in order to learn more about their plans for their celebration. Along with documenting your wedding, he can also host an engagement session for you and your soulmate. Chris loves to travel and is always open to destination weddings when he is available.

Finding a photographer was probably the hardest part of planning our wedding. We searched, and searched, and I happened across Chris. Everyone else was either way too expensive, ...
didn't offer enough time/packages, or we just weren't satisfied with their portfolio. Chris. Did. NOT. Let. Us. Down!!! He is amazing, not only as a photographer, but as a human being. I knew right away when he responded to my initial message that he was the right guy for us. He ended up doing a family shoot for us before we had our engagement photos done. We were so excited with how our family shoot turned out, we couldn't wait to see what else he could do! He was willing to travel almost two hours to our engagement session (he will go farther!). He made it so easy and captured the "real" couple... Not just the ones posing for pictures. Then our wedding day.... He nailed it. He knew our vision and what was important to us because he stayed in contact and got to know us. He captured our wedding that really told the story of our day. We loved the candid shots! His editing work is phenomenal. Seriously could go on about how incredible Chris is! We hope in the future he would be willing to do more family shots or photography for us, because I wouldn't want to find anyone else!

Then, the whirlwind that's COVID-19 hit, and we had to make pretty major changes to our wedding plan. Knowing how everyone was struggling due to the pandemic, I was nervous about having to broach the subject of cancellation/change but the first thing Chris expressed was how sorry he was, and not to worry if we had to cancel with him. I was blown away by his integrity and we managed to still work with Chris with our change in plans!
Wedding photos: WOW. Just wow! Our ceremony was a short one but he got these great shots that made us emotional and made us laugh, and brought all the memories of that day back. Not to mention his quick turnaround time; you can trust Chris to produce great work and stay communicative.
His passion for the job shines through, which is what makes him a great photographer/artist that will continue to grow. I highly recommend working with Chris and look forward to seeing where his career leads him!

m with a few possible wedding dates. When we locked in our date, we met (on FaceTime, actually. He's quite flexible when it comes to meeting with clients) and discussed everything the day would entail. From the wedding day itinerary, to each bridesmaid and groomsman, to all family drama (who to photograph together and who to photograph separately) and by the end of our first meeting I felt very confident.
Fast forward to the wedding day itself, Chris and his lovely fiance, (now WIFE) showed up as the bridesmaids were getting ready and helped everything get into place. Abbey was so helpful when it came to helping the bridesmaids, my mother, and myself. (Where it may have been more appropriate for a woman to help out) She asked us questions about how I met and knew each of my girls and reminisced on why they were so special to me. (Trust me, brides, you want Abbey there) Chris worked flawlessly with the wedding venue coordinator, caterer, and florists to create a seamless transition of the day's events.
Now on to the photography itself - the ceremony was outside, (104 degrees in July) whereas the reception was indoors. Chris flawlessly executed both, and never once gave me any indication that we may have a problem with anything. His creative direction was well received by all of the wedding party and all of the extended family. (I have very sensitive-to-light eyes and each of the pictures he took, I am not squinting, he must have a very good camera that has a hell of a shutter) He captured the true happiness of the wedding day and nailed exactly what we were looking for in a wedding album. I cannot say enough good things. Pictures were returned when we agreed they would be, (even when he himself got married TWO WEEKS after I did) he still cranked out beautiful photographs that we will cherish forever.
