As a former journalist, who has worked with a lot of photojournalists, I am a discriminating customer. I didn’t want cheesy wedding photos, I wanted elegant and artistic photos. Chris delivered 110 percent. In addition, Chris was very relaxed and organized during what was a high pressure scenario. Chris is great with figuring out the best lighting and making sure you don’t make any funny faces and that your hair and what you are wearing is not awkward. These are really important details when you are shooting photos you plan on keeping for a long time! Chris also did our Holiday card for 2019 and it’s great that we now have a relationship with him to capture all the special moments in our lives. If you have the opportunity to hire Chris and a Jasmine, I suggest you run to do it. You will be so happy to know and work with such amazing and professional photographers.

ning, at our first meeting, Christopher came prepared and blew my fiance and I away. In a city where there are so many options (of which, I researched many!), Christopher was a no brainer for us. How many wedding photographers do you know that also have photographed two presidents? Picking Chris was the best and easiest wedding decision we both made. Come the day of the wedding, Chris showed up early and excited. He had scouted out the locations and new exactly where to get the best shots. He listened and captured our style in the photographs. He was also invisible, which is the sign of a great photographer! After seeing our photos, I could not believe how he got some of the most amazing shots I have seen without me even seeing he was there! I am more than 200% pleased with the quality of the photos, the ease of the process, Christopher's service, and the cost of the photos. I would highly recommend Chris.

He took photos of us prior to the event which we were able to use to create personalized wedding invites, keep sakes for the wedding guests and family photos for our new home. He took before wedding pictures of us to capture us getting ready for the wedding and he took great pictures of us after the wedding capturing the backdrop of NYC. He was readily available, worked great with our kids and really helped to capture the moment the way we imagined it. What I appreciated most was that I never felt his presence during the wedding/reception. If you are looking for something different and want something customized to your personalities, I would highly recommend Chris for your event.

We had been to I think three other weddings that they photographed, and I loved the way that they were able to capture the different spirit of each couple getting married. I appreciated that they were willing to be as involved or as laid back as we wanted them to be. I planned our wedding while I was finishing a graduate program and had very little time to focus on it, and Christopher was very responsive and reliable. I think he would have answered a million emails or phone calls, but he was also happy to not hear from me for three months, which was relaxing. We had a big wedding in a relatively small space, and when I got the photos back I was so impressed with the shots of people dancing and talking in groups, I feel like those are hard to do well. They took so many photos! We had a good mix of the traditional posed shots and more documentary style photos. It was important to us to get the posed photos done quickly so we could be part of the party, and they organized everybody and got beautiful photos surprisingly quickly. They were great with parents and guests... lovely people to have at your wedding. I would highly recommend them.

The photojournal style was exactly what I was looking for and in his portfolios, Chris just makes his brides look stunning while maintaining the natural happiness of the day (without the cheesy aspect) Chris and Jasmine put everyone at ease and do beautiful work. We did an engagement shoot with them and it was FUN (weird- I never thought my husband would leave saying photographs for an hour was enjoyable). They put everypne at ease and their love of what they do is apparent in their shots. On the day of the wedding, Chris and Jasmine were on time, unobtrusive and I believe they got some amazing shots. (I cant wait to see!!!!) They also stayed later than expected and were in the thick of the dancing action. We purchased the package that includes the physical proofs which also makes me happy. With the digital world, I am excited to have physical products!

He was as averse to the typical wedding poses and factory formula as we were and when we told him about our vision and plans for our wedding, he was so excited we knew he was the right photographer for us. On our special day, he and his wife Jasmine were supremely professional and collaborative. Even during the “mandatory” series of family shots, they were efficient while keeping the energy fresh. They didn’t miss a beat even though there were many surprises we forgot to inform them about (such as the bride and groom making a dramatic entrance into the reception with a “Fred and Ginger” style song and dance number!) We also really appreciated his use of film as well as digital, and the option for old-fashioned 4 by 6 prints included in the package. Christopher also worked with us to create a custom photo-booth for our reception, which was a much better deal than the other photo-booth companies we considered. We are thrilled with the photos and grateful for the experience of working with Christopher as not just a photographer for hire, but a co-creator of visual storytelling.

At the wedding, Chris and his wife were very nice and patient, they knew what they were doing and they were always there when moments should be captured. We recently got our photos back and we cannot stop looking at them, they captured some really fantastic moments that we will remember for years to come. We did all of our family and wedding party photos before the ceremony, so afterwards it was just partypartyparty... Chris and Jaz blended in with our guests and got some really amazing candid shots which is exactly what we were hoping for. Choosing a photographer can be a little nerve-wracking because... if you really want to get bridezilla-y about it... you only have one chance to get great photos of this day. AND you have to entrust a complete stranger to do it! I am so glad that we chose Chris... I really couldn't be any happier with the quality and amount of fantastic shots that they nailed so we can remember such an amazing day.

better from there. PRICE: Chris was able to be flexible and cater the package to fit our budget. For us, the prints weren't so important, so we eliminated that from the package and got to the right price. Also, their arrival time slid up about 30 minutes a few days before the wedding, but we were not charged extra. It never felt like a business exchange; it felt more like a friend was shooting our wedding, but this friend happens to be a REALLY good photographer. PRESENCE: Chris and Jasmine have a great intuition when it comes to taking charge vs. hanging back and taking candid shots. It was a perfect balance of them knowing what was best for us, but also allowing us to just enjoy our day. Their attitude was fun and calming, which was exactly what we needed on our big day. We already have bridesmaids and friends who are getting married asking is for Chris's contact info! SKILL: One of the things that attracted us to Chris before we even reached out was that he is a creative, professional photographer. Spend a little bit of time on his website and you'll soon understand the man has some impressive accolades. While we of course wanted (and received) some of the standard wedding poses, we also wanted photos that look like they came from the pages of New York Magazine; and that's exactly what we got! We were so excited when we received our High Res photos only a couple weeks after the wedding. Chris and Jasmine. We met Chris and Jasamine back in the fall and upon a first meeting you never know what to expect. We both reviewed their work online and anyone who knows their work can asure you that it speaks for itself. It is absolutely top notch. After meeting Chris and Jasmine we both left our meeting knowing that there was no other option to be considered. Hands down we wanted Chris and Jasmine to help share our wedding experience with us. They are two of the most friendly and kind people you will ever meet. We walked out feeling like we had been friends for years but even at that they always kept a high level of professionalism. We knew going into our wedding day that we had the right people to help bring our day to life. Working with Chris and Jasmine on our wedding day was fantastic. They are fun, very easy to work with and know how to keep you at ease. They both came into the day very prepared, they had a good sense of what they wanted to capture and it felt very much tailored to our personalities. We recently received our pictures and we really couldn't be happier or have asked for more. The pictures are amazing!! My interactions with Chris during the planning process were very low-key, and I always got a quick response to my e-mails. He and Jasmine are very easy-going and charmed my entire family, and that sense of relaxation makes for great pictures. Our photos are absolutely stunning, from the formal portraits to the dynamic candid shots during the reception. We were married at an outdoor venue with many beautiful spots for photos, and Chris’s excitement to explore them all was contagious. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

My husband works in film and I did a bit of photography on the side for a period of my life, so images are very very important to us... and after all, the photos are all you have left after the happiest day of your life flies by. So, we searched and searched and no one seemed to catch our eye... and finally we came across Chris and Jasmine. We met with Chris in his and his wife's very trendy office. After a bit of talking with him, we realized he couldn't have been a better match for our personalities. He was calm, laid back, and very open to us, while still being very professional- and his images spoke for themselves. He has quite a portfolio, with captivating portraits of presidents and celebs... we were impressed. So, after some talking he seemed to get our whole vibe for our wedding... and seemed to have an understanding in us that truly transcended into our wedding photos. So, we knew we chose the right photographer from that moment on. A few weeks before the wedding, Chris had me send him pics of the vital people in the wedding, the parents, brothers and sisters, etc, so he and Jasmine could get to know these faces with names so they could received special attention during the wedding... We loved this... the fact that they took the time out to research our family so they were included in our pics meant to much to us. We really had complete trust in them... and thats a huge deal when you are stressing over everything else before the big day. So to say the least, we were so excited to have him and his wife as team photographers at our wedding. On the day of the wedding, they were so professional... sometimes you didn't even know they were there- or sometimes they were there alleviating stressful situations by making us laugh... they were really a perfect balance. After we saw all of our photos, we were in awe of the job they did... They captured moments of my husband looking at me walking down the isle that made me melt... portraits of our flower girls that could be in a magazine... (should be ;) ) Pictures of me dancing with my father and mother, and my husband dancing with his mother that were so touching... and of course the nutty side of our wedding... when a friend stole the mic and did a terrible rendition of Bad Moon Rising! They got it all! They took some film shots too, that was something that not many photographers do... and we loved those too! They managed to inconspicuously put themselves in places where they captured the best shots- They were the magician photographers! We can't say enough about them... we will recommend them until we turn blue because now our wedding day will forever be remembered through their amazing pictures! Thank you Chris and Jasmine again... and to all those brides and/or grooms out there who haven't found the right photographer yet... stop here... these two are the ones to choose.

Something really important to think about when hiring your wedding photogs if whether or not these are people you will feel comfortable spending your ENTIRE wedding day with start to finish. You want someone that makes you feel comfortable and inspires fun in your wedding party...Chris is THE guy for this!!!! My entire wedding party loved them. It felt like working with old friends with lots of laughs and easygoing attitudes. The photos came out great and their albums are a great value AND allow you to choose unique parent albums which is HUGE! Can't say enough good things here!

And by the time we got back from our honeymoon, he had the pictures ready to review. I really can't say enough good things about him, he was great! Christopher managed to corrall my 9 bridesmaids while Jasmine photographed me getting dressed. Their easygoing, rock-star personalities allowed them to fit right in with the bridal party & our wedding guests. My husband & I had a blast with them... and we adore our wedding pictures! Our wedding was in the winter, a few days after several snowstorms, and photographing an amped-up bride & groom in the snow wasn't easy! Christopher has a great eye & we couldn't be more pleased with our pics. :) I highly recommend Christopher Lane, especially for those couples who want artistic, fun wedding pictures. He provides you with high-quality prints of all your pictures, and the digital ones on CD + film negatives. The cost I provided includes photography + albums.

We don't live in NJ, but Chris made it easy to consult with us online and over the phone, and was always easy to get in touch with. He captured so many moments, yet we barely knew they were there during the ceremony and reception. Chris was professional, really fun to work with, and captured beautiful moments from our wedding. They are both very easy going and friendly, but don't be fooled - when it comes to taking photos Chris is completely in his element and in the zone. He is an amazing photographer. He will do whatever he needs to do - including standing in the middle of ongoing traffic - to get the perfect shot. Each one of his photos tell a mini-story, so that when you look at all of them as a whole, they form a much larger story of your wedding day. It was exactly what we were looking for - documentary style candid photographs (and not something over the top and cheesy). His photos are not random action shots of nothing like some other so-called wedding "photojournalists" but, candid shots that are well framed and thought out. He is very talented and it was a lot of fun having him and Jasmine photograph our wedding.
