a ring for a stone I purchased that year. I have been strongly committed to sustainable, small businesses for my jewelry and clothing, and Christy fits the bill. What I love about Christy's ethos is that she tends to ask about your story: where did you get this stone, who were you with, what does this mean to you? It's interesting to start with your narrative, but I think her ultimate goal is to provide beautiful jewelry but one that reflects the person wearing it.
Fast forward a few years. My partner and I had a commitment ceremony and knew we were going to have rings for each other. Christy was the obvious choice. I was a little more directed than our first conversation (meaning I came to her with sketches and a plan), but she was incredibly mindful about certain things such as my petite hands and my lifestyle. We never wanted to rush Christy, but I believe deep down in my heart she pushed things up to make sure we had our rings on our special day.
I cannot recommend Christy enough. She has a beautiful hand, eye, and heart, which are all important when making your visions become a reality (or piece of jewelry to be worn).

As for the ring itself, it is unique, beautiful, and amazing quality. It made it even more meaningful to get our ring from a local independent artist who values sustainability.

Her craftsmanship is unparalleled in my opinion. Her suggestions for how one of her specifically designed rings will look on ones finger goes a long way. I definitely got the feeling she just wasn't trying to sell you the most expensive piece, but what you will like and what works for each individual.

ng a ring. I was not interested in recent masculine ring trends, exotic metals, etc. and I also shy away from traditional sales experiences and retailers.
I reached out to Christy because I was really impressed by her catalog and ethics and the entire experience was fantastic. She was very generous with her time, answering every question I could think of over a combination of Zoom and email. Her workflow for remote collaboration during COVID-19 was excellent and she took special care to ensure my ring would not get lost in the mail.
Overall I could not have asked for a better experience.

Naturally, we also had her create my wife's wedding band (a ring perfectly-contoured around the rose-cut stone with 5 smaller stones), and my own white gold wedding band... I wish I could post a photo in this review, because we are so thrilled with these rings. They're simply gorgeous.
But Christy went a step beyond that, because after some time, I decided I needed my band sized-down, and she was more gracious than I expected—after sending it back to me, it still didn't feel right (perhaps the fault of the inconsistent sizing rings from a different jewelry store, but also my own naivete) and she was very understanding, so she then mailed me her own sizing rings and performed a second resizing for no additional cost. Wow.
So if you love Christy's style as much as we do, you have no reason to keep shopping. Her work is amazing and she'll make sure you are happy!

Over the course of designing the ring, she kept me updated every step along the way, and went out of her way to source the most suitable stone, offering various options and painstakingly explain the various trade offs.
