Working with Christy & James was one of the best decisions of our wedding - words cannot describe our incredible experience! Our wedding & engagement photos were a DREAM! They captured so many special moments, and everything turned out beautifully! My husband typically hates taking photos but Christy & James put him at ease and he actually enjoyed it. They are so sweet and fun to work with! They truly love what they do. They were very flexible with dates, schedules, outfit changes, and were super responsive. They were also very thorough in ensuring they were exceeding our expectations and capturing the types of photos we wanted (including champagne toasts, confetti tosses & glitter bombs). Christy also sent super detailed schedules and helped guide our day of schedule along with our coordinator and DJ. They were also very timely on both occasions, including our destination wedding in Michigan. We received our photos very quickly after each event, including sneak peeks right away and the full album in record time compared to our many friends and family members who got married around us. We received over 1000 beautiful wedding photos that were organized for easy posting & sharing. Christy also writes the cutest blog posts for each occasion that you can share. They sent us special surprises throughout the two years we worked together, which was so sweet! Especially how they delivered our photos in the end! We cannot wait to work with them again for every future occasion! We couldn’t be happier!

It’s hard to put how incredible it has been to work with Christy into words! We postponed our wedding due to COVID, and in the nearly two years of communication with Christy she was always quick to respond, communicated clearly, and provided excellent tips/recommendations. We had to postpone our engagement photos THREE times due to weather, and she made that frustrating task such a breeze. Both Christy and James were both so friendly and warm, and made us both as well as our bridal party feel comfortable in front of the camera, all while giving coherent directions to a group of 17 in busy Chicago settings, which totally deserves applause!! For individual & couples portraits, Christy gave us tons of clear direction. It is pretty intimidating getting in front of a camera for the first time, but she gave us super clear cues on hand placement, etc. to make it so easy and natural!! FINALLY - she put her years of wedding experience to use by helping us map out our day-of timeline, down to the minute, which I (and our venue) am so grateful for!! She basically doubled as a wedding planner at times :) If you book with Christy & James, you can expect excellent communication, experienced recommendations and advice, and incredible photography to commemorate your most special life moments. Plus, she is AWESOME on social media and I love seeing her stories, posts, etc. each day of different shoots as well as their precious family :) If we had to do it all over we would book with Christy + James in a heartbeat!!! Christy and James did an absolutely phenomenal job photographing our wedding on 6/26/21. They made both myself and my husband feel super comfortable, rolled with the punches when it came to weather (tornadoes and torrential downpours, lol!) and most importantly, took the most wonderful pictures of our special day for us to remember forever. My husband and I can rave about Christy and James all day! We always said, an amazing photographer, is essential to document every moment of this day that goes by so fast, and Christy and her husband did absolutely just that!! They not only captured all the big moments but all the small ones that truly made this day so special. Thanks to them we have beautiful memories and photos to reminisce on and to relive.

Christy and James photographed our wedding in October 2020 and I have literally hundreds of reasons to hire Christy and James IMMEDIATELY - each reason lives in our online photo gallery! We cherish every single photo they captured of our special day. Every time I log onto our wedding gallery I discover a new favorite photo, even 4 months later. They are professionals from start to finish. Christy is easy to communicate with and gets back to you thoroughly and quickly. They brought equipment for every lighting scenario and just really floored us with their professionalism the day of, let alone the gorgeous photographs they captured. The quality of each photo is unreal. I received our photo gallery super fast, which could be because of the timing of the pandemic regarding weddings/gatherings but I was very surprised how fast we received everything. Christy did our engagement photo session as well, which I really recommend because it's a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera. Christy is so professional and knows exactly how to direct you into poses that look natural and result in an entire gallery of photos that are each unique and perfectly framed. I don't know how she does it! She truly has a gift and you can tell how much she enjoys her job. Her personality is perfect for the job - I immediately feel at ease with her. Both Christy and James photographed our wedding and they worked so hard the entire day; I felt very confident knowing they were capturing candid moments as well as the list of photos I requested. I have no idea when they took breaks because they were shooting all day and night! The photography was the most important decision for us, since we had a small wedding due to the pandemic we needed to be confident that we would have amazing photos to share with our friends and family who wouldn't be there. They delivered on every single item. It was also important to us that our vendors take COVID-19 precautions very seriously and we felt very comfortable with them. From our initial email exchanges and phone calls, to the warmest texts, to unexpected gifts and bonus wedding prints and ongoing communication even months later, these guys are the real deal. They go above and beyond and truly I would base my wedding date around their availability. We are lifelong customers!

Christy and James are incredible! Not only are their photos incredible, but they are an absolute delight to work with. We are not known as very photogenic people and were really nervous about all the attention on us, but Christy and James immediately put us at ease. Christy was great at giving us direction (like what to do with our hands) without it ever feeling intrusive. Our photos were available quickly and there were so many amazing ones, we can't stop looking at them. They perfectly captured our true personalities and relationship. Christy was so prepared and gave us a detailed timeline to make sure we got all of the groupings and types of photos we wanted. They perfectly captured the whole day, including so many details I barely saw the day of. They also captured our relationships with our friends and family so well that I know we'll all be treasuring these photos for decades. Christy was also great helping us plan for engagement pictures, including suggesting locations since we live out of state and being flexible when COVID forced us to change our travel plans. I cannot recommend Christy and James highly enough!

Christy and James are absolutely amazing. They were wonderful to work with from start to finish. Not only are our pictures stunning, but they made the entire photo process so easy and comfortable on the day. They asked for a list for family photos in advance (so smart) which made the group photos go really smoothly. Booking Christy and James was one of the easiest and best decisions we made for our wedding, and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!

This review is long overdue but honestly, the more time that's passed since our wedding, the more I appreciate the work Christy and James did for us. I find myself scrolling through our beautiful, timeless photos all the time and smiling to myself reliving all the various moments of our wedding day. We have had countless people tell us how stunning our photos are and as a result, have asked us if we'd recommend working with Christy and James for their own weddings, to which our answer is always "YES, don't even look at anyone else and book them now while you can!!" They are extremely professional and on top of things while also making you feel at ease and in the moment; I knew from my first conversation with Christy that she was going to take care of us and did she ever. My husband looked at me while we were taking family photos and said "Christy is a BOSS!" - he is correct. She helped us make sure we captured all the photos we wanted while also having plenty of time to just be present with our guests and each other. Christy was also extremely responsive throughout the process, helping me choose wedding photo locations and providing a timeline of our photography package down to 5-15 minute increments (SO helpful - I built the rest of my day of timeline off hers!). We simply cannot recommend Christy and James enough - you will love them as much as we do!!!

Omg I can go on and on about Christy and James. They shot our engagement and wedding photos, they also did two of my cousins weddings... so they’re kind of part of our family now :)!! They are just absolutely amazing. Not only as photographers but as people too! Their work is just breathtaking. What I love about them is their work isn’t edited to the point where you can tell like some photographers .. your photos will be so natural. They also capture all the little and most memorable moments throughout your wedding day. Some of the photos they captured just showed mine and my husbands love so well. Once you meet them you will immediately click with them... I truly felt like I’ve known them my whole life and that’s what you want when someone is capturing one of the most amazing days of your life. They have so much passion for their job and they only want the best for you and know exactly what to capture so you have the best memories possible.. they just get it... !!! I have nothing but the best things to say about them. We just love them!

AMAZING! Christy and her husband James were one of my wedding vendors I did not have to think twice about. She was so easy to work with and would respond to any of my questions and concerns right away. Since I did not have a wedding planner she helped me out with a day of timeline and explained how things normally worked. When it came to be wedding time they showed up early and ready to go! I cant say enough about how helpful Christy and James were and how they kept us on track/calmed my nerves. She even directed the bus driver when he missed the entrance for our photos! They were so kind and bent over backwards for us. I would point anyone who is planning a wedding Christy and James way. THEY WERE PERFECT.

My family and I are so happy with the photos Christy and James took at my wedding. Leading up to the wedding we had many changes - it started as an elopement but slowly blossomed into a full blown wedding - but the Tylers were flexible and easygoing. Christy was very attentive via email and extremely organized. The photos that they captured on my wedding day were absolutely stunning. I am so very happy with their work and grateful James and Christy agreed to take us on as clients. I would recommend them a million times over!

Wow! I could not have asked for a better photographer for my wedding! Christy and James were absolutely perfect. She made me feel so comfortable and stress-free. Christy and her husband are the best! Christy is the sweetest and has a great eye and high level of professionalism. She was so clear in her directions, and I showed in the pictures. Each one was so lovely and more special than the last. We loved getting to know her in our engagement shoot, and getting comfortable in front of the camera. Her blog posts made it super easy to share the photos with our loved ones, both near and far, and it made us feel special as a client. Actually each note, each gift made us feel special as a client, her kind words meant a lot to me during all the other stressful moments of planning a wedding. Christy and her husband James are exactly the type of photographers you want at your wedding! They are super personable and extremely talented. Christy was amazing leading up to the wedding day and she is extremely responsive via email. Engagement shoot is included in the package which is also pretty great!! She also posts some sneak peeks on Facebook and will do a blog post for both your engagement and wedding photos, as well as provide an entire online library (for both) and flash drive (for the wedding only). The day of the wedding they were the calming presence that we needed, and during the reception they completely blended in with our guests. Overall would highly recommend!
