Christy did my wedding hair and makeup, as well as my maid of honor, mom, mother in law, and my brother's girlfriend! She was so timely, professional, and made the morning so stress free and enjoyable! She really created a fun and relaxing environment! Everyone loved their hair and make up! I cannot recommend Christy enough, she has a true gift for bringing out the natural beauty in everyone! Christy did my HMU for my wedding and she was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! I was lucky enough to meet Christy as a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding, and I loved my makeup so much that I jumped at the chance to book Christy for my own wedding. I knew she could do the job once I took a look at her portfolio and how diverse her clientele was! I was initially not going to hire HMU for my wedding, but I felt that I could trust her. She’s able to create any hair look or makeup and will be honest about what may fit your facial features best. She is reliable and is open to feedback. She also did my bridesmaids’ hair and makeup and we were on time even though she did not bring an assistant. They were also very happy with their makeup/hair! The hair and makeup for all of us lasted the entire wedding seriously… Personality wise: very chill, confident, and easygoing. I think she would make a great fit for anyone.

I had the honor of having Christy Yoo do my bridal makeup, and the hair and make up for my Nieces of Honor for my wedding at the Disneyland Resort. Christy came highly recommended by my planner; Dee Lee. Christy was exceptional from the consult to the makeup trial to the wedding day. She was punctual, communicative, and she listened to me. Her makeup was FLAWLESS! I am quite oily and her magic mixture withstood the ultimate test. I usually blot with oil sheets many times a day, but I did not need to with Christy's miracle sealant. (I was married in 85 degree heat in Anaheim.) I appreciated how she listened to me and took my opinion into consideration. Together, we came up with the perfect wedding look. For my make up, I give her 10 stars. Why the 4 stars? Because my niece (with the really long hair) showed her a picture of a high volume blow out look but ended up only getting the ends curled. She didn't share this with me until the day after that It wasn't what she wanted but my niece didn't want to bother her to fix it because she was working on her sister next and then me. Final Thoughts... I totally plan on getting my make up done by Christy for my portrait session next year and I would still 100% recommend her for future brides!

Where do I even begin?!? I'll try to keep it short & sweet...which is almost impossible. When I first got in touch with Christy (October 2023) for her hair & makeup services, a few things I noticed about her was her bubbly spirit, nurturing & reassuring character, accessibility, and flexibility. As someone who is VERY indecisive, rarely wears makeup (outside of the occasional lipstick and mascara), gets overwhelmed by the amount of styles to choose from, AND lives in the east coast, Christy had her work cut out for her, but she never wavered!! From the get-go, Christy reassured me when I felt like I was already late to booking a vendor for my wedding (March 2024). She didn't focus on that aspect, but instead focused on moving forward with a game plan to get us on track. She had me send her a picture of my hair (to gauge color and length), dress, and hair & makeup styles I had saved that I was interested in. From the picture of my hair and dress alone, she sent over some ideas that she thought would suit me well and then guided me to what length and color of hair extensions to purchase (if I wanted to use them). Next came booking a bridal trial. Due to living out of state and personal circumstances surrounding work, I wasn't sure exactly what my schedule looked like and that's where Christy's accessibility & flexibility really shined. We were in constant open communication about our schedules in order to fit my needs, which I greatly appreciated! On top of that, my sister who has very sensitive skin was visiting from out-of-state and because she was planning to have her makeup done for the day of my wedding, Christy was very understandable and accommodating when we asked if she could test some sample products on her face. With the high quality products Christy invests in, there was no reaction and she felt comfortable getting her makeup done for my wedding. In fact, Christy wanted to personally do my sister's makeup just to be on the safe side and because she was already familiar with my sister's skin tone and complexion :) Finally, we reach the wedding day!! Christy showed up with her lovely assistant Summer, who worked on hair and makeup for my sisters. Just like the day of my trial, I think it was a bit apparent that I was nervous when it came to applying layers of makeup. Rather than focusing on each step of the way, Christy reminded me to "trust the process." At the end of all the styling, when everything was put together, I felt so beautiful. Seeing myself with just the hair & makeup alone made me truly feel like a bride and set things into place. A compliment I received over and over was how natural the makeup looked on me, which was exactly what I was going for. I wanted a soft glam with colors that would translate across the different gowns that I was going to wear throughout the day, especially because the gowns were different colors. If I haven't sold you just yet, let me reassure you that Christy & her team are the way to go. Not only were the compliments coming from our friends; they were also coming from my parents, aunts, and grandma!! Speaking from my experience growing up in an Asian household, family members can be very nitpick-y when it comes to looks so for them all to praise Christy and the makeup she did on me, I'll take it as a win! Book her for any of your hair and makeup needs. You won't regret it!!

Christy and her staff were amazing! My hair and makeup lasted all day and night. She made little tweaks based on my requests after the trial and was always open to feedback to make sure everyone loved their looks. They did beautiful natural makeup and hair for my maid of honor, mother, and mother in law. The moment I messaged Christy, I could already tell l loved her energy and vibe. She was super responsive on Instagram and text and if she knew she is going to be busy over the next few days, she would always let me know. But I was already so confident that there would be no issues with my hair or makeup melting off, and of course, Christy did my hair and makeup flawlessly and it lasted the whole night! I was struggling to figure out what I wanted exactly but doing a trial really helped me pinpoint what I wanted for myself. Christy’s talent is like nothing I have ever seen before. She spends the time to understand your vision, and completely executes beyond expectations. Brides - DO the hair and makeup trial. It gives you such a great opportunity to get to know Christy and feel confident about your wedding day look. I even ended up booking her for my tea ceremony the day before my wedding - I wanted to look and feel my best which is what Christy is so good at. She is professional, kind, communicative, and makes you feel totally at ease. I loved working with Christy! She did my bridal hair and makeup. She had also done my hair and makeup trial, so she was familiar with the fact that I don't usually wear makeup. We all know wedding days can be so stressful & she was flexible throughout the whole process. My wedding was in July in Temecula...in the middle of 90°+ weather. Big hair and face beat…because when else am I ever going to look like this? I showed inspo pictures during our trial and she knew exactly what to do. Christy did an absolutely amazing job for our October wedding!! We had 6 women getting their hair done, and Christy made sure to get there 5 minutes early so that we had enough time. My sister and I also have really thick hair - and wanted these delicate looking updos - and Christy made it look MAGICAL! She made it look so effortless - but when I took out all the bobby pins, I realized that she had put 50+ in there! It stayed put all night, and really made my wedding photos all that I wanted them to be <3 Thank you so much Christy - you are incredible!!

Christy has the best quality in a hair & makeup stylist which is listening to their clients. She made to sure to check in along the way at the trial and wedding day to make sure I was happy and she was on track. The trial was so comfortable and felt like hanging out with a friend. She perfectly re-created my inspiration photos and put my nerves to rest when she could sense I was uneasy. She was prompt on the wedding day and even had my large bridal party ready early including final touch ups. She was extra gentle with the moms that are not as accustomed to the getting ready process (as compared to bridesmaids). Her additional artists were equally as talented and kind and made the day even more enjoyable.

Doing a trial is well worth the time and money because Christy really takes the time to understand the look you are going for and what works best for your particular hair and skin types. I was so glad I did a trial because, not only did I get the time to discuss my ideal look, Christy also put together an entire skin care routine for this tomboy bride who was previously on the soap and water regimen. I didn’t even realize how dry my skin was, and after a few weeks on Christy’s recommended regimen (which was all super simple and affordable products), I was a new woman. For that I am forever grateful. Christy is super approachable and fun. She is someone who is easy to talk to and get to know, which is such an amazing trait in a hair and makeup artist because it makes it easy to give feedback and discuss your look. While I loved my hair and makeup at my trial and it would have been great if it stayed exactly the same for my big day, I really appreciated that Christy took the time to analyze the pictures she took from the trial and make small changes in order to best fit the vibe of my wedding even more. She recreated my inspiration pictures to a T and I could not recommend Christy enough. I have never felt so beautiful in my life and I owe it all to Christy. I was truly floored by the work Christy did on my hair. I didn't even do a trial, and just trusted that she would be able to get it done and she delivered. I looked at her previous work, sent her a few examples and the execution was unreal. Besides the quality of her work, the people I had in the room with me while getting ready was massively important, I did NOT want a company that just brought in a big group of random people to get us ready. I wanted a very relaxed environment and someone whose company I enjoyed being around because I knew I would get a little anxious. Christy hit every mark, she brought her assistant Amber and they were incredible. Again, from the quality of their work, their personalities and their professionalism, you can NOT go wrong picking her for your big day! I'm trying to find another event I can attend to have an excuse to have my hair look so good!

Amazing!!! My hair never holds a curl and lasted a full 12 hours!! Was able to recreate the photo I showed her perfectly!

I found Christy through Instagram. Her style is amazing and was exactly what i was looking for. She is so helpful in answering in detail with any questions you have for you vision for your special day. She is the sweetest i absolutely loved my hair for my wedding !! I can’t stop looking at all my pictures my hair made the whole look!!!

I found Christy while browsing through Instagram for a hair stylist, as my wedding was approaching quickly, and a previous artist bailed. She was so quick to respond, very thorough, and without even meeting her, I knew 1,000% that she was going to be my hairstylist for my special day! She is so sweet and made me feel like I deserved everything I had envisioned for mine, my bridesmaid's, and families hairstyles for my wedding day. I had sent Christy inspo for different hairstyles for myself, and after scheduling a trial with her, we learned that the hairstyle was not for me. Rest assured, Christy was so accommodating and able to give me EXACTLY what I wanted for my wedding day. She was attentive to my needs, what worked for me, and what didn't. She truly gave me my "Egyptian Goddess" fantasy. My half-up, half-down do lasted ALL night, and my 6 bridesmaids up-dos lasted all night as well which received many compliments. STUNNING! I can't wait until we can collaborate one day again in the future! She is officially someone I can call a friend for life!

Christy was my HMU artist for my wedding. Without a doubt, she was an essential person to my day as all eyes would be looking at her handy work. From the beginning (and up until my big day), Christy was super responsive to my inquiries, moreso, I noticed she offered outstanding communication and answered all my many questions clearly and thoroughly. This was truly appreciated because she helped relieve a lot of stress which admittedly you never know what you’re going to get out of wedding vendors these days; especially when they ask for deposits before you work with them. I had several ideas of how I wanted to look, but the hard part was to narrow down the ideas to what my vision was. Christy was patient in laying out what was needed to achieve these looks and breakdown for me my options. I’m not very artistic and quite low maintenance, therefore Christy’s talent, artistic visions and recommendations were very helpful to me. And ultimately my only goal was I wanted to look beautiful. Christy was professional and offered great advice and recommendations. From helping me match my extensions to my hair color and giving me options that would work with my budget from skincare regimen and products that would help improve the longevity and quality of my skin long after the wedding. On my wedding day, Christy was punctual and came prepared with notes from my trial. She never complained and always had a positive attitude. While I was mending a broken ankle even on my wedding day, she was so understanding and accommodating throughout. This just goes to show that I was working with a real professional whose ultimate goal was for me to look and feel beautiful even when I was concerned and wanted to change small things about my look. Christy remained calm under pressure and didn’t skip a beat. Ultimately, I received many compliments on my make-up and even more on my hair which lasted all night long and didn’t require a touch-up even though she left me a little kit in case I needed it. She’s got a whole bag of tricks and quality make-up and hair products to make any person look radiant. Furthermore, I noticed she was very sanitary and practiced clean and safe methods while working. My experience with Christy was wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone looking to beautify themselves for a special occasion.

Christy is the most amazing makeup and hair artist! I am so happy I booked her for my wedding!!! I stumbled across her makeup page on Instagram, and told my sister she should try her out for a wedding HMU trial. My sister hired Christy for her wedding and Christy did my bridesmaid HMU. I loved her style and immediately booked her for my wedding. Christy is so attentive to detail and made sure to always confirm I liked the way my makeup looked. She does tons of wedding so she would also give me her feedback as an expert, but I never felt dismissed. She somehow always knew exactly what I wanted. Christy and her team is also very hygienic and would sanitize often. Her prices are reasonable and she does a great job listening to her clients. I love that she can do a K-beauty natural makeup look for my sister, but was also able to do full glam look with pink glitter for me. My makeup stayed on well during the whole wedding and I didn't have any issues during the night. Now that Christy has done my bridal HMU and my sister's bridal HMU for her wedding we feel like she is part of the family. We can't wait to hire her again for other special events!

Dream wedding hair! Christy is so sweet and talented, and was just lovely to work with! I found Christy while searching for hair stylists in the area for my wedding on May 21st. She was quick to respond, very thorough, and was knowledgable in helping me decide what would be best for my hair-type, the vibe of my wedding, and the style of my dress. I first did a hair trial with Christy, and loved chatting with her while testing out a couple different hair-dos. She was gentle and paid attention to the care of my hair to not damage or pull anything too tightly. I ended up falling in love with the long, thick, glossy curls as my hairstyle. Come wedding time, Christy gave me great tips to help me prep my hair to have it really moisturized and shiny for the day-of. She also rocked out other gorgeous half-up styles for my 5 bridesmaids. Each girlfriend of mine loved their hair. I was so glad Christy was part of my glam team for my big day! She helped things go smoothly and was able to bring my vision to life for such a special day. Christy and her team made my couture, elegant bridal look come to life! From the moment I reached out to Christy she has been super sweet. I was in between 2 different hairstyles and she was able to do both styles for me during our hair trial to finally help me make the final hair decision. I wanted a couture up do twist and Christy was able to make that happen. I received so many compliments on my hair. She is very detailed and was always making sure I was happy every step of the way which I really appreciated. Karen, her makeup artist, is also very sweet and was also always making sure I was happy with every little thing she was doing as well, keeping me involved in the decision making for my final look. All of my bridesmaids were also very happy with their hair and makeup on the big day. One of the girls had a bad experience with false lashes but Karen was able to apply just a few individual lashes that she ended up loving! Everyone looked fabulous and Christy and her team was able to finish everyone's looks by the requested timeline. Christy was very accommodating with all of my requests and I highly recommend her and her team for your big day!

Christy is absolutely amazing and SO good at what she does!! I watched Christy do my friend's HMU on her wedding day (she actually also left an amazing review here too!) and knew she was the one! I feel soooo lucky to have been able to book Christy for HMU for my wedding day: even without being able to do a trial run because of COVID 19, Christy perfectly captured who I was in hair and make up!! You know, I'm really not the type of girl to know exactly what I want, especially when it comes to hair and make up. But with the little description I gave Christy, she NAILED it. I've received sooo many complements and our wedding photos came out amazing!! During the process, Christy has been very down to earth, chill, affirming, so easy to talk to... I literally changed plans like 3 times and Christy remained so so very understanding and supportive throughout the whole processes! Christy is extremely thorough, detailed oriented and professional. At every stage of planning my wedding look she was excellent at listening to my ideas and providing ideas when needed. Christy paid close attention to the little details and executed every thing so seamlessly together exactly how I had envisioned it.
