I can't say enough great things!! Chris is the best photographer I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He was flexible with last minute changes, helped keep me on schedule the day of, and was incredibly professional yet personable. He goes above and beyond for his brides! Not only did he help me get my shoes on at my bridal shoot but he also expedited the printing of my portrait so I'd have it for the big day! I am very self conscious and have never been comfortable having my picture taken but Chris made me feel absolutely beautiful ; I truly felt like a bride. It is evident he has done this many time. He knows all the ins and outs of weddings. I have the most beautiful images from my big day thanks to Chris. Hire him immediately!!!

I’m not pleased with the final results, especially with how much was invested. I provided Chris a list of must have shots and that was disregarded. I purchased a few props to use for photos and that was tossed aside. The colors used for the template of the photo booth was different compared to what was shown initially.

Chris is hands down the BEST! He was the photographer for my brother's wedding in 2018 & at that moment, we knew we had to have him for our big day! My brother surprised Dom & I with hiring him as our photographer & we were SO stoked! We love his style & how interactive he is. He was out on the dance floor with us getting action pictures of moments we completely missed. Chris was phenomenal from beginning to end. From the very first phone call until the very last photo on our wedding night, Chris kept everything fun and light. We received more compliments on Chris than we did on anything else at our wedding. I’m so happy we went with him and am recommending him to anyone looking for a photographer!

We booked Chris during the January 2019 Bridal Extravaganza after meeting him and speaking to him (the hubby picked him just to put it out there). He is very cool, laid back and knows what he is doing (he has shot more than 600 weddings). Our engagement pictures were taken during the summer and they came out great despite being in the hot sun sweating our butts off. I’m not photogenic at all, but Chris would direct you on what to do and would make us laugh. On top of that we received our engagement pics within 4 days and the pictures were amazing. The day of the wedding Chris showed up on time and everyone loved him. Everyone kept on raving about what an awesome photographer we had , even those hard to please people were complimenting about how cool and fun our photographer was. Chris was able to make all the bridesmaids/groomsman laugh and was able to capture all the fun that we were having (lots of action shots in the dance floor). My wedding was on 12/21/19 and we received our photos on 12/27/19 which was sooner than I expected since I know several people receive their photos months after the wedding. The pictures were great. Chris is always on his A-game, very professional, experienced, and it is obvious to see his passion for photography. I would highly recommend him!

Chris was so much fun and were so thrilled to have him on our big day. He made everyone feel comfortable and allowed us to loosen up and laugh! We got our photos back super quickly, which was amazing as I heard people with other photographers have had to wait an upwards of 6 months for their photos!! Chris W. was one of the first 5 vendors we hired for our November 16, 2019 wedding. I believe we hired him in August 2018. What stood out to me on his website was he was ON the dance floor in all his weddings - he was active during the wedding and had so many FUN photos capturing the mood of the weddings. I had spoken with a LARGE handful of photographers/videographers prior to talking to him. I had great conversations with other companies then when it came down to asking "will you be my actual photographer for engagements, bridals, the actual wedding?" the answer I kept receiving was NO. I also was against a first look and stated that on all my calls (wedding started at 7PM with reception ending at 12:30AM) - no photographer encouraged me to think about it some more before making my final decision. Then I had my call with Chris - we spoke for 45 minutes and he just got it. AND HE'S THE ACTUAL PHOTOGRAPHER! He understood the vibe I wanted for all of our sessions. The outdoor/boho look weddings with the super white edits on photos is so popular right now but that's not the look I wanted and I didn't want to choose a photographer based on their "edits" - anyone can make a photo glow on the computer. I wanted a photographer who was going to get all the shots I knew I wanted but also all the shots I didn't even know I wanted. He also encouraged me to think about having a first look so we could get all the photos done before the ceremony - didn't push me but just encouraged me to reconsider. Best decision on having a first look! We had our engagement session with him - he stayed with us until we got everything we wanted - definitely took me out of my comfort zone during my bridals - but that made me realize I needed to relax and truly was incredible our entire wedding day. I had a long list of all my "MUSTS" for photos - we got some of them but I'm glad we didn't get all of them - because we got so many more that I didn't think I wanted. He is so professional but so fun - his lovely wife worked the photobooth (that I initially didn't want but turned out to be great), he was in the middle of the dance floor all night getting the best shots and was really concerned on getting as many photos of me and my husband as possible. Which was amazing. He didn't sit down once during the reception and would get our guests hyped up if there were any pauses during the reception. Then received all our photos within a week! He's great! If you're debating whether or not to hire Chris - just do it. You will not regret your decision. When hiring your vendors, go with the smaller family owned company. You will be so much happier in the end! If we had to do it all over again, we'd hire him again in a heartbeat.

Chris and his assistant were incredible! They captured so many magical moments from our wedding and our reception. His specialty is candids and he does it well! The pictures really describe the energy and love in the room, and we will treasure them forever! Chris was also professional, punctual, and flexible! He was very receptive to our requests while at the same time taking charge at moments and taking the initiative for fun and imaginative shots! Chris did my bridal shoot too, and that experience was also incredible! They are photos that we will treasure forever! Overall, we would absolutely recommend Chris!

Chris was my photographer for engagement and bridal shoots and the wedding. I am very happy that I chose him as a photographer out of so many others. When I first saw his galleries, I noticed that Chris is original and creative compared to other photographers. His style is very distinct from others. My engagement and bridal shoots were wonderful and I was waiting for my wedding photos with much anticipation, as it took longer for them to be ready. My wait was rewarded! Thank you Chris for capturing all steps of the happiest day of my life in such a professional, interesting and sometimes funny way. Like in other photo shoots, he was able to capture very unusual moments and did not miss anything. Someone asked my Mom where is Chris and she answered “everywhere.” It was true. He was everywhere and worked very hard. So, I have memories of everything important on my wedding day. I had Russian-style wedding and a lot is going on in such weddings – games, contests, dances. It is important for the photographer not to miss anything. I usually do not write reviews, but in this case, it is impossible not to. You could make a wrong choice in some things for the wedding, but choosing a wrong photographer is detrimental. Choosing Chris is the right decision for any photoshoot.

Chris and Zac captured the best moments of my wedding. Those moments were when my husband and I were being our goofy selves and having fun. Chris was perfect for us. From our engagement photos where he made us comfortable and got some excellent shots of the two of us to use on all our wedding stationary, to communicating through out, to the day of to his INCREDIBLE return time on getting edited pictures back to you - we couldn't have asked for anything more. His pictures are wonderful and he does a great job of getting the classic/traditional pictures you want, but also getting in to the middle of the party and capturing every single one of your guests. He is so laid back and congenial, but also worked so well with our day of coordinator to help keep us on track that it is a great mix. We loved working with him, suggested him to family for other photo needs, and fully play on using him for photos in the future. Chris truly made our day the spectacular day that it was!

My husband and I originally hired a different photographer and then fired her after we got our engagements back. They were terrible. I then met Chris at a bridal show and fell in love with his work. I told him our story and he did our engagements and then wedding. He is an amazing photographer! He got our photos back quickly and we love looking through them often.

Chris photographed our New Orleans wedding and we could not be any happier. When picking a photographer we looked for someone with positive energy who had the ability to take amazing candids. Chris exceeded all of our expectations! A few days before the wedding Chris called to let us know that he was all set for our big day which we really appreciated. He was on time and worked well with our videographer, whom he had never met before. He had great ideas for our 'getting ready' shots that didn't feel too cheesy or cliché. The photos from our reception captured the energy and fun of the evening perfectly. He got pictures of almost all of our guests dancing and smiling, and it's wonderful to be able to look back and see how happy everyone was. We had a reception band and a second line band and Chris got amazing pictures of us on the dance floor and dancing in the street. I really don't know how he did it! Last but not least we received our pictures in a very timely manner. We got a sneak peak within 2 weeks and all remaining pictures within 3. We received sooo many compliments on the images and it is all thanks to Chris. I highly recommend him and hope to work with him again in the future.

I meet Chris at my brother's wedding. He was very professional and friendly. I think I spent half the day with him. He did a great job capturing the "moment" throughout the day. Chris had a great eye and ideas for various scenery. He was well prepared for every situation. My brother's wedding went till 2 in the morning. Chris even had a light in his pocket to get photos of my brother and his wife as they drove off. Those photos turned out GREAT! I was extremely impressed. I was so impressed and pleased, that my wife and I asked if Chris would do a fitness photo shoot in a gym setting. It was a little outside his normal business, but he said he could do it. He met us on site and we spent about two hours with him. Chris very quickly adapted to his surroundings and began to take some great shots. In celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary on December 29, 2014, my husband and I were reminiscing about the amazing evening we had on that most special day! My husband and I both loved working with Chris. He did our engagement, bridal, and wedding photos and all of them turned out great. I moved to Austin during the middle of the wedding planning and he was able to work with us to find times to meet on the weekends to take pictures even though those are his busiest times. Overall, I am extremely happy with the photography by Chris for our Engagement and Wedding pictures. After seeing how beautiful his work was for my sisters wedding 3 years ago, I immediately booked him for mine when I got engaged. I had an idea of the style I wanted and he nailed it! He did a great job getting candid shots at perfect moments and really captured everything perfectly. Chris traveled to College Station with us for Engagement shots on campus and then traveled to Fort Worth for our wedding day. He was loved by all my guests and made a great impression on us. He did not distract from our ceremony and was able to go unnoticed while getting great shots! The photographer was the most important part in vendor selection for me and I would highly recommend Chris to everyone. I have no complaints. He was extremely cooperative with my crazy wedding that was in Vegas, then again for my big reception at home. He took amazing pictures and even had a great personality. Chris took the pictures for my wedding on August 30, 2014 at Chateau Cocomar. He came highly recommended by 2 friends, one of which used him for her wedding. Upon seeing her photos, I was amazed at how beautiful he captured her event so I became curious and looked further into him. All of the photography on his website is absolutely gorgeous and when I looked at his price it was definitely extremely affordable (which is always a plus). I spoke to him several times over the phone and email. I loved how quickly he responded because for brides it is always important that your questions/comments be answered quickly. Before our wedding I changed my package easily (THANK YOU Chris for this). On the day of my wedding he was just wonderful to work with! :) I received many compliments from my guests that he is very friendly and that quickly caught on and was obvious in the pictures. He was so amazing that later on my brother and sister-in-law used him for a photo shoot. He definitely went above and beyond what you normally think of a photographer and through that he was able to capture many beautiful moments and make our guests feel comfortable in front of the camera. After receiving the pictures, I was shocked at how model-like he made everyone look! :) Kuddos to him! I would highly recommend Chris because his photography is beautiful, he has an infectious fun personality, his price is very affordable and he is quick to respond and accommodate you.

If you're searching for a Houston based photographer just go ahead and stop looking. You will seriously regret it if you don't choose Chris Wineinger. I first met Chris at my best friend's wedding in 2010 and he made us all feel so comfortable while he was snapping away. (Not to mention her photos were amazing) I am not one to really enjoy getting my picture taken, I feel awkward in front of the camera, but that all changed when I met Chris! He has such a natural way of making you feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the lens. When I got engaged and set my date the first call I made was to Chris. I knew immediately that I wanted him to photograph our big day. He also shot our engagements and my bridals. He listens so carefully to what you want and we all know that as a new bride-to-be that is really important. There is not one single photo that he took that I didn't just love. His creativity makes for some beautiful photos. You will not be disappointed! Needless to say our wedding pictures turned out incredible. The candids at the reception that he was able to capture were so great! You could see in all the pictures how our guests were interacting with him, and they loved it! He gets right in the middle and it just adds to the fun. I had so many people ask who he was and how I found such an amazing photographer. I recommend Chris every chance I get. And now that we have started our family I still choose Chris to photograph us!

We hired Chris because we love photography with a little edge! He is excellant at taking very interesting candids especially at the reception! He gets in there and dances with your guests in order to get some great live shots!! One of our best memories of our wedding was just looking around and seeing how much our family and friends were enjoying the evening and that joy was truly captured through Chris' lens each time! When dealing with an artistic photographer though just keep in mind all the "posed" pictures you for sure want to get. Just write down who all you want a posed picture with and tell Chris that day. Remember that you can't teach a "posey" photographer the art of candid photography but you can remind an artsy photographer what posed pictures you would like :) Also, he was very helpful when it came to putting our album together! I am very picky and sent several layout revisions but Chris was happy to make all the changes to make sure our album was exactly as we wanted it! The album is gorgeous and sits on out coffee table every day!! Hire Chris, take my advise on the posed pictures, and you will be very happy!!!

My daughter and I checked out various photographers.Chris was referred to us randomly by my florist. We spoke and were given quotes and evenually met him at my daughter's bridal portrait shoot. (which had to be re-scheduled due to weather which Chris was totally ok with). My daughter and Chris clicked immediately and we knew we had chosen the correct person to do all the film work we had wanted. His pictures were incredible, the videographer at the Rehearsal Dinner and the church ceremony did a great job, and the reception which Chris shot totally captured the spirit of the evening. He even managed to put himself in a few pictures, which we loved. As mother of the bride I was thrilled with our choice of Chris. I have and will continue to recommend him. In fact, he took so many fabulous pictures i have yet to order the ones I want as the choices are difficult.

I hired Chris as a preferred vendor of my wedding venue, Agave Real. He took our engagement portraits, my bridal portraits, and photographed our wedding back in September. While the engagement portraits were lovely, it was when the bridal portrait session came along that I knew I made the right decision. The attention to detail, and the care that he showed helping me around the Museum District blew me away. Whatever you like/dislike, Chris will give you what you want as the bride. And on our wedding day, he along with videographer Zac Whitte, captured moments I wouldn't have dreamed of. A wedding is such a blur of events, it is wonderful to go back and see the moments you were too frazzled to notice the first time. Also, during one of the most stressful events you'll ever plan as a bride, I promise you that Chris will make you laugh and break through those nerves! Budget wise, you cannot beat the quality of work for his rates, either. I did shop around before booking Chris and most were either too expensive for what you got in return, or I did not feel comfortable working with the photographer himself. With Chris, both comfort and great pricing were there.

My best friend married back in 2005 and used Chris Wineinger as her local photographer in Houston, TX. Her pictures were nothing short of amazing, so naturally I decided to use him for my destination wedding in Mexico. It could have been a disastrous day since a hurricane hit the day of the wedding, but Chris managed to document our special day and tell the story of the day so beautifully and candidly that when I look back at my photos I don't think about the stress of the hurricane and everything that went with it, all I remember is how much love we were surrounded by and how much fun everyone had in spite of the horrible weather. My pictures are amazing! When friends see my album they always comment and say how jealous they are of my pictures because Chis is just so good at capturing moments that you as a busy bride never get to see and none of them look staged or boring... I found Chris at the Bridal Extravaganza where I felt completely overwhelmed by everything going on. To me, the photographer was one of the most important details of our wedding day and I could not begin to imagine how I was going to decide out of the hundreds that bombarded me with their cards. As I looked through Chris's albums, his style was exactly what I was looking for -- candid, artistic and beautiful and I fell in love with his work. After it was all said and done, I had narrowed it down to Chris and one other photographer. We had some more questions to ask them before we made our decision and Chris was so patient and responsive with the dozens of emails and phone calls from my mom and me. We never had any issues getting in touch with him, he would even send us an email response at 2 am after he got home from shooting a wedding all day so that we would have a response first thing in the morning. The other photographer we were looking at seemed very uptight and it taking days to hear back if at all. I am a very shy person at first and knew I needed someone loose and fun to help bring me out of my shell and Chris was just that. You can tell he has fun doing his job and takes pride in his work so Chris is who we chose and I would choose him a thousand times over! His “lack of professionalism” as other reviews stated is not at all how I viewed his style. He is very laid back but that is something I enjoyed about working with him. It made it so easy to work with him and connect to him, therefore I was not uncomfortable in front of the camera. When it came to my bridals, it was raining on the day they were scheduled for so he suggested we take them somewhere indoors. I insisted that they be outdoors so he re-scheduled them quickly and with ease. On the date we re-scheduled them for it was raining again and he worked with me and got them re-scheduled for the second time without issue. Finally, on our third try we had sunny skies all day. It was getting close to the wedding date at this point so he got them edited by the next day and we were able to order some prints in time for the wedding. I brought my 90 lb. pit bull to the shoot with me who was dealing with a lot of medical issues. I wanted her to be a part of my wedding memories as I knew she would not be around much longer and Chris was so patient with us both. He didn’t even hesitate to get covered in her fur without me asking by lifting her in and out of the car for me. He was able to capture some beautiful images of us together that I cherish now more than anything. The location he chose was somewhere that I probably would have said no to if he had told me where we were going but I decided to trust him and I am so glad I did. The backdrop for my portraits looked great with my dress and made it look like they were right out of a magazine. I am normally so awkward in front of a camera but he guided me on what to do and made me laugh so I could come out of my shell. On our wedding day I never once felt like he was in the way as I have felt at so many other people’s weddings with their photographers. Most of the time I did not even notice him there because he blended in so well with all of our guests. He got out on the dance floor with everyone and was able to capture some awesome candids. I am so happy with the way all of our photos turned out and we now have gorgeous photos that will last a lifetime. I will definitely be booking him again for any future photo needs we have!

When you meet him, he is really charming and nice until you sign the contract and he gets his deposit money. After that, it’s really hard to get a hold of him, and when he does contact you back he doesn’t treat you as a customer. He treats you like he is doing you a favor. In my opinion, it’s really uncomfortable to work with somebody like this on one of the most important days of your life. For this reason, I chose not to have him at my wedding. I emailed him on Friday, not expecting a reply until Monday since I knew he probably had weddings or other events to attend to. On Monday, I contacted him, and when he finally called me back in the afternoon, he didn't even know who I was. He started yelling at me saying that he works on the weekend. He stated that not only do I choose him, but he also has to choose me as a client. The only reason I give him a 1 star rating is because he gave us our deposit money back!! Please choose another photographer!!!

We booked our wedding with Chris Wineinger 7 months in advance and 5 days before the wedding he backed out stating that he had double booked that day and would not do our wedding. This left our daughter in tears for two days, cost her a day of work since she had to go out and find another photographer at the last minute. The only reason we gave him one star is because he gave us 5 days notice instead of not showing up at all. He recommended his assistant but if he runs a business that can't be trusted, how could we trust his assistant. There are too many reputable photographers out there. Hire another one.

The videographer that is with this company is amazing! I can watch other videos of people I don't even know (by Zac) and I get emotional, because you can feel the emotions that occurred for those people on their big day. The highlight videos are some of the best I have seen and would definitely recommend Zac to anyone who was wanting a videographer at their wedding. Like my photographer, he blended in the entire night. He didn't try to cut in front of someone to try to get a shot. He was really great and fun to work with!

I loved our photo booth! We had excellent props that everyone had fun with. And the technician running the booth was so nice and sweet to me and all of my guests!

I cannot say enough good things about Chris!! I have known him for years and now have a true understanding of why my past clients love him. His laid back, yet professional approach was exactly what we wanted/needed from our photographer on our wedding day! He made us very comfortable in front of the camera (not an easy task for this camera shy bride) and he is so great at getting "in the mix" with friends and family at the reception to get the fun candid shots of everyone enjoying the party. The photographs are beautiful...we couldn't have asked for more!! Book this super awesome photographer!!!
