We had our wedding ceremony at the Church of Ascension with Father John. First of all, the space is absolutely stunning and beautiful. It was very clean and newly renovated. The ...
stained glass is so pretty. Lauren was the coordinator for the church. She was super responsive, helpful, kind, and gracious. She worked very well with my wedding coordinator. Father John's ceremony was very warm and touching. All our guests said our ceremony was the perfect balance of heartfelt and emotional, but not drawn out. It was executed perfectly by Father John. He is a wonderful and warm person. Our wedding was more amazing that we even imagined and we highly recommend this venue for any couple that wants to get married at a beautiful church.
A gorgeous venue that gave us exactly the wedding we dreamed of: intimate, romantic, and customized to us. We used the same floor/room for both the ceremony and reception, which wa...
s super convenient, especially for our older relatives. Since there are no pews, we could really make it the space we wanted; for us, that meant a few rows of chairs out during the ceremony and tables set up along the walls for a seamless transition into reception and dinner. The church has these beautiful stained glass details and really lovely, high ceilings with different colored lights you can control with switches, which made the dance portion extra fun. (Both the exterior and interior of the church made our photos look beautiful!) Lauren, the events manager, was so helpful in coordinating with us in the months leading up to our big day. She was responsive, resourceful, and very present, and met with us and our caterer a few times at the venue before the wedding. We had a pretty small budget and didn't use a wedding planner, but Lauren really helped us get a checklist of everything we might need—including things we hadn't thought of ourselves. As far as weddings go, it was as stress-free as it could be. We had a wonderful experience and are so happy we chose the Church of the Ascension as the venue for our special day.
