hing from the food to the incredible service and hospitality provided by Churchill Downs staff. The countless options/customizations allow you to make the event uniquely yours, and the legendary venue gives your many of your guests a "once in a lifetime" night. We are so thankful for the opportunity to work with Churchill Downs and truly could not recommend it more!
The PERFECT day! Kristen, Courtney and team pulled out all the stops for our beautiful wedding. We had multiple agreed upon weather contingencies and they quickly pivoted day of to...
ensure our guests were comfortable and taken care of without any additional stress. We received multiple compliments from our guests on friendly service staff and quality of food. Most of our guests were from out of town, so they loved the chance to visit a historic venue and, more importantly, to see horse racing!
As an Event Manager myself, I had very high expectations on how my Wedding should be planned and executed. I have to admit that Churchill Downs met all those expectations. I had tw...
o amazing Event managers assigned to the planning of the Wedding and the day of. They made everything run smoothly. By smoothly, I mean keeping the bridal party on time, showing the photographer around, ensuring food and beverage were correct, organizing vendors and escorting guests to the appropriate places. Churchill Downs offers three huge benefits as a venue. First, it's registered on the National Register of Historic Places, which makes for a romantic setting. Second, because of the views with old and new architecture, you don't need to decorate much. In return, I saved money on florist expenses and put more money into Bridal Party gifts. Last, they have an onsite caterer so for planning purposes, it was one less vendor I had to search for. I would recommend Churchill Downs as a Wedding venue and very happy with the overall success of the event.
We had our wedding in October of 2017 with the reception at Churchill Downs afterwards. It was always our dream to have our reception at Louisville's most iconic location and it ex...
ceeded our expectations. Our reception was held on Millionaire's Row on the 6th floor which offered panoramic views of the track.
We had two event managers that were incredibly helpful throughout the process and ensure that our dreams came to life. They made the planning process extremely easy and we had 100% trust that our vision would be executed at the venue.
The catering company was wonderful to work with and offered us multiple packages that fit our budget and exceeded expectations. The venue space was the perfect size, big enough to hold our 200+ guests but also a comfortable space where all the guests felt connected. The open floor plan made the wedding activities easy to be seen by all. The vast amount of complimentary parking allowed for easy access to and from the venue for our guests.
Our guests loved the location and the out of town guests enjoyed being able to see the iconic venue. Thank you Churchill Downs for making our wedding day so special!
