hair and make up of myself, my family and my friends. I had an elaborate hair style that I wanted to achieve that would be difficult to keep from unraveling. Chyla came up with a strategy to make it happen and that allowed me to dance, take photos all around the city, sweat a little bit, and travel to all the locations. Still at the end of the night- it was the same as when we first styled it in the morning. Amazing. My make up also didn't flake or get patchy and it lasted the whole night-- this is because we had airbrush makeup as a part of each of our packages with Chyla. Chyla's team was quick and efficient and understood the assignment. They were able to provide natural looks for all my bridal party members, which were all very diverse. Chyla can work with all skin tones, hair textures etc. I would recommend Chyla to anyone who is looking for hair and makeup artists that are professional, timely, good listeners, and those that have pure skill.
GROOM: My wife was very pretty at our first look- thanks, Chyla! Also her hair stayed together the entire day (like 18 hours!!!). It was super elaborate and everyone said she looked like Rapunzel!

I had my makeup done by Chyla and it was perfect. She was super meticulous to take notes of every product used during my trial so that my makeup would turn out exactly how I wanted it on my wedding day. During the trial and on our wedding day, she was very receptive to any feedback and made sure I was happy. She used top of the line products and was super sanitary and wiped and cleaned everything before and after use.

It was easy to contact her when I needed to and I thought she brought a great team together especially during my Covid wedding. I had a large party of 12 ladies needing hair and makeup. My makeup stayed on the whole day in September and didn't have to retouch my hair or makeup other than my lipstick (because of my mask). I was very happy with everything and so was my wedding party.

My bridal party services were for 4 women, including myself. The day of the wedding, CHYLA WAS A ROCKSTAR. She (alone) did all our hair & make-up and kept us 100% on time. Chyla takes everything step-by-step, checking in to make sure you are happy with the direction that the look is going (she starts natural but can go dramatic if you'd like). Chyla was also aware of how things would photograph & had me take a test picture with my photographer to check on the blush - we put a bit more on & it made a huge difference (what a pro!). She completely nailed my hair look, even though we had not practiced that 'do in the trial. The hair & make-up lasted all day. So happy that I found Chyla!

Trial experience: Chyla was completely accommodating to my schedule and tried a few looks. I wanted my look to be dramatic and not neutral as most brides do. Since I wear makeup with a neutral look often, I wanted something where I stood out. I showed a fee pics and she combined them all for my look. It looked awesome and if there was something that I wasnt happy with (like if the hue was too light), I informed her and she darkened it up. I wasnt afraid or intimidated to tell her how I liked it. She gave me ideas and we worked together great.
Bridal day expierience: On time, set up in the best lighting at our hotel, and makeup was so glamorous! All night compliments on my makeup. Nervous about the first-time airbrush in hot August weather, but she reassured me it wouldn't become cakey or messed up. SHE WAS RIGHT! Her makeup was the finishing touch to my special day and so happy it was as perfect. My bridal party & mom loved their hair and makeup by this team!

As a bride I was looking for a special, dramatic look that day. Chyla did not come close to reaching my expectations. She did NOT put eyeliner OR mascara on my lower lashes, I had to ask for it. She did NOT highlight any of my face OR contour, I had to ask for it. She did NOT airbrush even though it was in our contract. She did NOT use blush, I had to ask for it. It is not my job to tell a makeup artist how to do the basics. I was disappointed and I did not have time to retouch my make up after she finished (which I shouldn't have had to worry about). She was on the phone on and off in my hotel bathroom for about 1.5 hours arguing with her husband, which made me late getting ready. On a positive note, I did like my hair the day of my wedding, I just truly wish I hired a different makeup artist.
I posted an album on social media of photos from my wedding day that I wanted to share (I do not mind if these photos were used by my vendors). What was most disturbing to me is when Chyla reached out to my photographers (instead of me) to ask for the password to my entire private wedding gallery. Without my permission, my photographers gave her full access to my wedding gallery and Chyla used my personal private photos for advertising on her website (for which I have contacted a lawyer). This all went on behind my back and is completely unacceptable.
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. If you are looking for a talented, professional make up artist, I would NOT recommend CHYLAristry.

small tiara incorporated into a half-up style with curls. Chyla did exactly that and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it in order to make me feel like the most gorgeous bride. She also did makeup for my bridesmaids, and my hair and all of our makeup stayed put for my entire wedding day, even after outdoor pictures with some wind and plenty of dancing at my reception. Chyla is so lovely to work with, talking with her while she made me look fabulous was like chatting with a friend I’ve known for years, even though I had just met her! She is a rockstar, I would highly recommend her to any bride who wants to look beautiful on her wedding day without any worry.
