Ciao Bella Cakes

We worked with Jennifer for our wedding cake at Peddler's Village on 3-19-2022 and let me tell you she does not disappoint!! We had a tasting with her over year before and we had a hard time deciding on a flavor because everything was so good! We ended up doing chocolate cake and salted caramel filling and vanilla with raspberry, and it was the best cake I've ever had. She executed our vision perfectly, and so many guests asked us who made the cake because they needed to use her for their own events. I will never use another bakery. Ciao Bella helped make our day so sweet!!

Ciao Bella did an amazing job with our wedding cake on Oct 2 2021 at Nostalgia 1720! It was beautifully crafted with frosting designs and frosted roses. Most importantly it tasted so good and we got many compliments from our guests. Each tier was a different flavor that we got to customize at a fun cake tasting with Jennifer. Amazing! We used Ciao Bella as the baker associated with our wedding package, and we have never heard of so many people loving the wedding cake so much. Jennifer was amazing from the get-go with the tasting. She worked with us and produced the absolute perfect cake (vanilla with chai!) for our wedding. It was gorgeous!

Jennifer did an amazing job with our wedding cake and mini desserts! We had a vanilla cake with raspberry mousse that our guests are still raving about! We heard from all of our friends and family that it was the BEST cake they had ever had at a wedding! In addition, Jennifer executed my dream cake design perfectly! Jennifer at Ciao Bella did a FANTASTIC job on our wedding cake! We had a 5 tier cake alternating between vanilla cake with cheesecake frosting / raspberry jam and chocolate cake with salted caramel frosting. Not only did it turn out beautiful & exactly as we had hoped, it was also delicious! It's not often that guests of a wedding rave about a cake but ours absolutely were!! Our cake came out exactly how we wanted it to look (based on a picture I had shown) but more importantly, it was totally delicious... and I usually think wedding cakes are dry. We went with two tiers of lemon cake with vanilla icing and two tiers of chocolate cannoli cake -- I can't recommend the chocolate cannoli enough! Jennifer was also wonderful to work with, very sweet (we had a lot of fun at our tasting!) and flexible when our wedding was postponed due to covid. Please do yourself a favor and book Ciao Bella for your wedding cake!

Our cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious! I'm honestly not a huge cake person most of the time, but I would have eaten this entire 4-tier cake if I could have - it was THAT GOOD! My wife and I already can't wait for our 1 year anniversary so we can eat the top tier! Highly recommend Ciao Bella Cakes!

We were referred to Ciao Bella by our venue and couldn't have been happier! She recreated the vision of our cake perfectly and we got so many compliments on how delicious the cake was! It was so good, that we decided we didn't want to waste the top 'anniversary' layer by freezing it...we opened it and said happy 1 day anniversary to us and ate it with our kids the next day! The flavors offered were hard to choose but we had a layer in raspberry/lemon and others in tiramisu. Compliments to the chef, you won't be disappointed!

Ciao Bella Cakes was included in our catering package and we were able to select our cake/mousse flavor, and add flower decorations to the cake exterior for an addition price (not expensive). Jennifer was really accommodating to my husband and I as we live in the UK and were only in town for one week a few months before the wedding. We had a tasting and my sister and dad tagged along. We also decided to add other desserts a few weeks prior to the wedding and it was no problem. We loved our cake - it was beautiful and delicious!

My husband and I worked with Ciao Bella Cakes for our wedding cake. Ciao Bella Cakes was selected for us as they are the cake provider for the Lambertville Station. We were able to choose from a variety of flavors, which was really fun! We chose to have layers of vanilla cake with strawberry mousse and chocolate cake with salted caramel mousse and it was delicious! Ciao Bella Cakes decorated our cake exactly as we asked and it looked beautiful. We recommend working with Ciao Bella Cakes!

Ciao Bella did an amazing job on our wedding cakes, but they especially rocked the groomsmen cake. They did a custom Star Trek replica cake that had lights. It was a big hit!

We worked with Jennifer to make the cake for our wedding. She did a tasting for us to decide on flavors and we were blown away by how good everything was. Not only were the flavor amazing but the cakes and the fillings were so light ..... nothing like what'd you expect from a catered cake. We went with two flavors vanilla cake with Tahitian cream and chocolate cake with salted caramel mousse. Every guest raved about the cake and many thought it was so good, they had to try both flavors! Jennifer even worked with our florist because the florist did the final decorations on the cake. She was absolutely a pleasure to deal with.

We LOVED Ciao Bella! We used them as part of a package with Lambertville Inn and they helped us to create a beautiful customized caked for our wedding. The outside of the cake looked like bark and leaves from a tree (our wedding was in the Fall! ) and we had two types of cake: vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream frosting and chocolate cake with caramel sea salt frosting! So delicious! I typically don't like chocolate frosting -- but they changed my mind!! Totally recommend!

Our cake was included with our package from the Lambertville Station Inn. We only spent about 40 dollars to upgrade our cake to a fresh strawberry and cream flavor and lemon cream flavor (1/2 of each). We did a cake tasting and all of the cakes were great! They weren't dried out and they didn't have weird icing like a lot of wedding cakes do. We liked it so much that we dug into our frozen "anniversary cake" when we got back from our honeymoon!

Delicious Cake and Beautifully Decorated. They were really flexible and friendly throughout the entire process. a couple guests at our wedding had a sugar allergy and Ciao Bella had no trouble getting up a sugar free cake so that all our guests could enjoy! And the total cost came in under budget which was obviously a bonus.

Our cake was almost too beautiful to eat (although I’m glad we did. It was delicious!) Our wedding had an autumn theme, and the Ciao Bella team incorporated fall foliage as well as our initials carved into the “bark” made of icing. All of our guests were taking pictures! We sprung for spice cake with cream cheese frosting and it was the best decision.

We used Ciao Bella because it was what our reception place used but we are so glad we did! We paid about $50 for some upgrades and we got a masterpiece that everyone was raving about!

Cake turned out perfect. When we went for tasting, it only took us 20 minutes to taste and decide as it was very easy to work with them. We had peanut butter with chocolate and vanilla/vanilla. The design was perfect, the taste was really good.

Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect. We could not have been happier with it! Setting up the tasting appointment was very easy. Jennifer and Denise communicate well over email. We were given five options to taste, but they had many more we could choose from. We had a vanilla cake with vanilla filling alternating with vanilla cake and chocolate filling and buttercream frosting. Normally, wedding cake is not that good. That is not the case at all with Ciao Bella. The cake was light and airy. We received tons of compliments on the taste from our guests. Jennifer said that she could create the cake to look like whatever we wanted. I emailed Jennifer and Denise photos of other wedding cakes I liked the look of, and the cake they delivered was spot on. I used Ciao Bella as part of a package deal with my venue (Doylestown Country Club), and they were wonderful! Their cake was beautiful and delicious. I'd completely recommend them!

To start, they are rude and unprofessional. Apparently the previous owner sold this business so it would seem a lot of the good reviews are from the previous owner. They ruined my cake. Aside from looking like a junior high home economics project gone wrong the cake didn't even taste that good. The design was not what I asked for and when my cake got to the venue, some of the flowers were even broken. They over charged me and under delivered. To put things in perspective for you readers, I went with a very simple and elegant design something that any professional cake maker should be able to do. To say that I would not recommend this vendor is an understatement. For something so special please do not trust your special day to them. They are hard to deal with and what you get looks just terrible.

I am from out of the area, so all of our contact was via email. Jennifer was very responsive and a pleasure to work with as we waded through our options,and delivered delicious results. So we hear! We were too busy dancing and mingling. It looked beautiful. Exctly like the picture we sent her.

The cake was delicious! Also, I got a grooms cake and Ciao Bella really worked with me to choose an affordable grooms cake and it far exceeded my expectations. They did an awesome job! We can’t wait to eat our topper on our 1 year!

Stefanie was a pleasure to work with- always very polite. Ciao Bella Cakes was the preferred cake baker for our wedding venue so we gave her a call. The tasting was fun but it was hard to choose the flavors! I couldn't wait for our wedding to eat the cake so I ordered a cake for my (now) husband's birthday. It made us even more excited for our wedding cake :-) We finally decided on flavors for the wedding and were unsure of how we wanted the cake decorated. Stefanie sent us different ideas and then I found a totally different idea for a cake. I sent her a picture and our wedding cake looked exactly like the picture. It was beautiful and we received a ton of compliments on the way the cake looked but more importantly- on how delicious the cake tasted! There weren't any extra cake slices left over at the end of the wedding! We did save our top tier and promptly ate it within a week of the wedding. Our plan is to order a cake for our first anniversary. And we'll probably be ordering something else before then!

Choosing Stephanie to provide my daughter’s wedding cake was one of the easiest and smartest decisions we made. From the first taste of her samples, through the discussion of our vision to the flawless execution of her whimsical but elegant design we knew we had chosen wisely. A testament to Stephanie’s abilities came in the days after the wedding when we received calls from relatives inviting themselves over for coffee because they “knew we had some of that fabulous cake left over”. Stephanie is a delight to work with and her cakes will exceed the expectations of even the most discriminating.

I had Ciao Bella create my groom's cake and it came out awesome! The owner was so nice and easy to work with and I was very happy with the cake. I came with pictures of our idea and the owner seemed excited to create something she never did before. Would absolutely recommend them!

Stefanie makes amazing cakes! We have no idea how we are going to save any for the first year anniversary! It's so good that we keep diving into the freezer to take bites! We will probably ask her to make us a first anniversary cake. Stefanie is kind, creative and best of all, she makes delicious cakes. Definitely use Ciao Bella.

We used Ciao Bella for our groom's cake. We saw a picture on the website and fell in love with it. Not only was our cake AMAZING looking but if possible I think it tasted even better! We got so many compliments about the cake, it was perfect!!

I had my reception at the Villanova Conference Center and my cake was included in my package, provided I select one of two bakers they recommended. My parents, fiance and I visited the other bakery, which I won't name here, first. Essentially, they ignored us, the cake was dry and when I asked for a specific detail on the cake, they were rude and quick to tell me it couldn't be done. Then, we visited Stefanie at Ciao Bella. She was the complete opposite in every way. First, she was extremely accommodating. We were very late for our appointment, as it was the weekend after Hurricane Sandy and we had travel issues. Stefanie saw us at the very end of her day, never rushed us and went through all of our options in great detail and with patience, upfront about any extras that we would need to pay for that went beyond our package. She truly cares about her customers, and her work. Most importantly, the cake samples were delicious. Also, when I asked Stefanie about the same detail I had asked the other baker about (I had wanted to incorporate the same flowers that appeared on the sleeves of my dress onto the cake), she immediately came up with suggestions for how it could be done. After our first meeting, she sent sketches of three different cakes. All were beautiful. On the day of our wedding, when I saw the cake we had selected, it was perfect. The detail on the cake matched my dress perfectly. And, again, it tasted great! In summary, I believe that even if I could have chosen from all of the bakers in the Philadelphia area, Stefanie would still have been my first choice. Highly recommend!

She was very flexible with flavor and filling combinations. The cake looked gorgeous and just as expected and tasted even better than the samples! My Wedding cake from Stefanie was amazing! It was better than I could have even imagined. During the meeting process, she was so helpful and provided us with a wonderful tasting and many options for our cake. I provided her with a picture and my cake turned out just like it! She also hand made the edible flowers. We got so many compliments on our cake the entire night. I would recommend her to anyone in the PA and NJ areas.

Stefanie Kitchner was the best cake maker I've met! From the day of the cake tasting to the final product, I was very satisfied with the process. She was very flexible with the style that I didn't even had in mind, and was very creative in incorporating the wedding and pulling it together to show in the wedding cake. And by the way, the fondant she used on our cake was delicious! It didn't taste like rubber that other had described fondants to be. I guess having a really good baker makes a complete difference. I would definitely use her again on any other special occasion that me and my family or friends may have!

We hired Ciao Bella Cakes for our wedding cake. We had a very particular design style in mind, and also wanted buttercream icing - no fondant! We also wanted a four-tier cake, with two tiers of chocolate cake and two tiers of vanilla! Not only was our cake absolutely beautiful, but it tasted amazing! All of our guests commented upon how yummy our wedding cake was, and how modern it looked. All of our tiers were square with orange sugar dahlias. It was quite striking! We will continue to use Ciao Bella for all of our specialty cakes (including a birthday we have coming up!)

Ciao Bella made our wedding cake and it was fantastic. We had them make a special cake for us - it was shaped to look like a mountain with a ski slope on it. Ciao Bella provided us with multiple options for how the cake could look at different price points so that we could pick the look we wanted and consider our budget at the same time. It turned out fantastic and not only did we love it but our guests did as well. My husband was thrilled with how it looked (as was I) but I was more happy with how it tasted. Ciao Bella had great options for the cake flavors as well as the fillings/icing. Ciao Bella was a pleasure to work with for our wedding cake. They were professional, patient, and kind. I would definitely recommend Ciao Bella to anyone needing a wonderful tasting and wonderful looking cake for their wedding or other special event.

I had my wedding cake made at Ciao Bella Cakes. They were recommended to me by my caterer P&P Caterers. We met the owner Stefanie at our cake tasting and she was extremely nice. Not only were her cakes beautiful, but they were delicious. Our cake had layers of vanilla and lemon butter cream, and also layers of chocolate truffle, and chocolate mocha. It was delicious, and I can't wait to eat the top layer next year. Stefanie will create pretty much any cake you want. I would definitely recommend Ciao Bella for your wedding!

DELICIOUS! I am so bummed I couldn't eat more of my cake! Stefanie was so easy to work with in choosing our cake choices. Not only was it delicious but I had a picture of what I wanted and she replicated it PERFECTLY!! I am so happy we went with her.

The chocolate cake was delicious. Actually it was the best that I had tasted. The only reason that I did not choose ciao bella was because I wanted a different flavor other than chocolate and vanilla and she wasn't able to offer a tasting for the flavors that I wanted. I'm not brave enough to choose a flavor without tasting it.

I’m generally not a cake fan, but this cake was fantastic. We were married in August at Montrose Mansion (Villanova) and five months later, our friends and family still comment about how good the cake was and they wished they had taken a few more pieces home with them. Stefanie was a pleasure to work with and really incorporated our ideas into a beautifully designed cake. We chose chocolate with alternating layers of chocolate buttercream icing and chocolate raspberry truffle icing. Really can’t say enough good things about the cake itself and Stefanie. Ciao Bella Cakes was one of my best picks throughout my wedding planning. Stefanie the owner is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and her cakes are delicious! Both of us came up with the design to go along with my fall themed wedding. Her sketch of the cake looked identical to the real thing. I will from now on get my cakes from Ciao Bella Cakes! Stefanie from Ciao Bella Cakes did a great job on our cake :). We asked for an Adirondack themed caked, with a trail, leaves, and Cairns to mark the trail--it looked wonderful! most of the cost of our caked was taken care of by the venue (included up to $500 dollars), and we paid extra for a flavored filling and the extra decor. All and all, she did a great job, delivered the cake on time and looking great.

Stephanie, the owner and baker, comes to your home to conduct the cake tasting. As I was making my final decision between two vendors, she welcomed me into her shop for a final tasting of the raspberry swirl cake I had my hearts set on, AND she designed our cake to look exactly like the 66 cent cake stamp used on our wedding invitations! Not only beautiful, but delicious! (Ciao Bella is one of 3 bakers the Old York Road offers as part of their wedding package.) We had a 50 cent per piece upgrade fee for the raspberry swirl flavor that was chosen.
