Ciara's Alterations

I absolutely love Ciara and how special she makes you feel when putting on your dress, before and after alterations! I’ve had two bridesmaid dresses altered by her as well as my wedding dress! She took my mom’s old and yellowing wedding dress, cleaned it up and added pieces onto my dress! It was really special and beyond my imagination. She truly has a special gift and her dedication and passion is unmatched!

Ciara is truly the sweetest! She immediately made me feel so at ease when I walked into her shop. She is so talented and professional. I cannot recommend her enough. My grandma and my maid of honor brought their dresses to her as well and were so impressed with not only her work but her customer service. I cannot speak highly enough of her work and her as a person!

The BEST there is! I drove 2 hours to get to Ciara’s shop so believe me when I say she truly is the BEST. Ciara is an expert at what she does. Taking my dress in for alterations was scary but Ciara made everything go smoothly and was always fast to respond to any questions I had. I highly recommend.

This was the most amazing experience for alterations! Me and 3 of my bridesmaids all had work done at the same time and done within the same 1 hour appt. Ciara is THAT girl! Knowledgeable, patient, kind, and listens to what it is YOU want as the bride. I was told by the bridal salon I could wait WAY too long to get in contact with her (I should have called much sooner to confirm), but Ciara got me & my bridesmaids in & made us all look bomb in a short period of time! I can’t say how much work went into my dress, but considering it was two different kinds of lace, lots of detail, & needed a lot of taking in, I can only say she’s an expert at her craft because you couldn’t have convinced me anything had to be removed & reapplied to a “smaller” version of my dress. Ciara is a miracle worker!!! She completely restored my dress after another tailor totally butchered my dress. She hand stitched appliqué pieces back together that were chopped in half off the dress (by the bad tailor) & put them back on the dress. You could never tell that my dress had been previously butchered. Ciara is the real deal! She really knows what she’s doing. Not only did she make the dress look like it wasn’t previously butchered, but she also made me feel super pretty in my dress. If you’re looking for a talented, professional, seamstress that will brighten your day and alter your dress to utter perfection- look no further.

Ciara is the BEST! I loved how my dress turned out. The bridal store told me I’d have to keep the straps on the dress most likely but I didn’t love the straps. She was great and suggested to put different ones on that matched the belt I had. I fell in love with it all over again and was better than I imagined it. She also was able to take out the boning in the back so it didn’t buckle and fix the bust for me being small chested. She also fixed the button for the cross cross low back so it looked more aesthetically pleasing. You couldn’t even tell she has made the alterations she did! Everything held up perfectly for my hiking wedding! She makes things so simple and easy with alterations. Her skill is amazing and personality is just icing on the wedding cake! Trust me just call her for an appointment already!

I was very nervous about not only finding the right wedding dress but especially nervous about finding a seamstress I could trust. I had to go to my first appointment alone and from the moment I walked through the door Ciara made me feel welcome and at ease. She's super fun to work with and truly does an incredible job. She makes sure your bridesmaids know how to bustle your dress even if it means recording a video to remember how its done. She has a super cute location which is really easy to find and is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Ciara's Alterations and she is in high demand so I definitely recommend reaching out as soon as you have your gown!

If you’re looking for the perfect seamstress in the central Florida area to care for your wedding gown, look no further. Ciara is first and foremost an expert in her craft and takes care of every clients gowns as if they were her own. I don’t have enough kind words to describe my experience working with her but her professionalism and kindness start the moment at first interaction. Setting up my appointment was a breeze, but do be warned to book ASAP as she is in demand (for a good reason!). Her bright personality, professionalism and knowledge shine through during your appointment as well as she greets all clients with so much warmth and excitement to be working on your wedding gown. Even though my gown was a made to order dress, it was advised by the company to secure a seamstress as it is made in size ranges and while some brides need zero alterations, some may wish to make a few. I had an unfortunate experience with the manufacturer of the gown that resulted in me having to quickly change my appointment date with Ciara. The gown was to arrive 8 weeks before the wedding date and my alterations appointment was 7 weeks from the date. Well, a manufacturing error in the gown resulted in me having to ship it back to Australia and I wouldn’t receive the gown for another four weeks. As you can imagine my stress of this error so close to my wedding day, Ciara was so kind, reassuring and accommodating in moving my appointment to a new date that was extremely close to my wedding date without penalty. Her poise and kindness were helpful in keeping me calm about this massive schedule upheaval. For that alone, I can’t thank her enough. My alterations were fairly minor when considering the spectrum of needs, and included a bustle and strap adjustments. She truly helped make my gown the perfect gown for my big day! I recommend her to every bride in the area asking for a seamstress to care for their gowns.

When I tell you to run not walk to get your dress alterations from Ciara, I mean it. I knew instantly that she was the one I was going to have alter my dress from the moment I bought it. Throughout every step of the process she was so sweet, caring, and I could tell this was her passion. She made my dress fit perfectly, even when I was having doubts that it might have been too tight she reassured me that it was supposed to fit like that and she was right! After her alterations to my off the shoulder straps, taking in the dress to fit every curve on my body, and a bustle that had about 7 clips that were invisible she made my dream dress a reality. To have trust in your seamstress is huge, to have one that will hold your hand about your dress worries is even better! Ciara is the best at what she does, I can promise you that! FUTURE BRIDES PLEASE GATHER for I have a terrifying tale to tell… ‘‘Twas two weeks YES 2 WEEKS before the wedding when I bought an off-the-rack gown to wear BAREFOOT at my wedding. Stomach churning, I know, but I knew who to call. My Fairy Godmother was none other than the fearsome, the powerful, the saver-of-lives herself: Ciara's Alterations. She brought me in ASAP and took no shortcuts. She was extremely informative and gave me excellent advice. She’s seen it all and knows how to make it work. I left feeling 100% confident and 200% excited. LADIES I needed a high hem on an entirely lace gown. I needed both sides taken in from my armpit to my thighs and the gown was fit👏ted👏 And she also had to make the boobs smaller and I still have no understanding of how that physically occurred. I picked up my dress the day before my wedding and I’ve never worn something that fit me so flawlessly. Tearing up right now just thinking about it. My dress was my dream come true and I am inexplicably thankful to Ciara and her team for making it happen.

Ciara is PHENOMENAL!! I would give her 100 stars if I could. She got me in right away, made me feel comfortable, knew exactly what needed to be done and how to make it happen. She took my dress in several INCHES and you couldn’t tell. It was beyond the perfection I had imagined!! I danced the night away in the dress without having any concern that it would move!! Ciara is a true gem on the Space Coast! I wish I could give her more than 5 stars because she more than deserves it. Her workmanship is absolutely flawless. She hemmed my dress and added bustles. My sister (MOH) was nervous about bustling the dress and was not able to make my final fitting to see them so Ciara filmed a video with her coworker bustling my dress and talking through how to do it so my sister could see how to do it! The bustles were beautifully placed and impossible to see when the dress was down. When it was bustled, the dress transformed in to a spectacular dress that looked like it had always been like that. But the best part of all working with Ciara is her. She has an infectious personality and radiates positivity. When I first met with her I was nervous and did not feel 100% confident in myself and how I looked and Ciara made me feel amazing. During the entire fitting she was the best hype woman. She continued to be like this every time I met with her or talked to her. She will make your dress look beautiful and more importantly she will help make you FEEL beautiful every step of the way leading up to the big day. You can feel her passion for her work and her brides and I am so blessed to have worked with her! I highly recommend her to all brides for any of their needs!

Ciara was the only seamstress that atleast 6 different friends highly recommended. She was extremely easy to coordinate with and really listened to exactly what you wanted. So many aspects of planning a wedding are beyond stressful and this was not one of them. My mind was at ease leaving my dress with her. Ciara dropped everything she was doing on my wedding day when she got an SOS call and came to the bridal suite and helped with a strap (nothing with the altering). I have already sent her info to several brides to be.

The 5 star rating if this shop is no exaggeration for how wonderful it is. Ciara was able to hem, add a corset, add bustles, and add lace off the shoulder straps to make my dress my dream dress. She is also the sweetest and makes sure to bring your vision to life. I accompanied a friend to her dress fitting at another place in Orlando where 1 seamstress was serving 4 people at once. Ciara has only 1-on-1 appointments to give you her undivided attention. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for bridal alterations!

Ciara did such beautiful work on my Wedding Dress. She made sure I understood what needed to be done and how it would look finished. She also made sure I would be comfortable in my dress day of. She held on to my dress, fur jacket, and veil and let me pick them up day of since I live in Orlando and the wedding was in Cocoa so they wouldn't get messed up with travel.

I could not say enough great things about Ciara and the magic she can create. Ciara exceeded my expectations when she created original sleeves and added more lace to the bust and made the dress feel more me and made me feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. She is so awesome and easy to work with and she truly wants you to feel confident and beautiful on your big day and will help you get there with her alterations.

Cierra did an amazing job on my dress. I didn’t want a train and we cut it off the first day I came in to have her alter it. She even took that train part and made my veil out of it! :) She was so easy to work with and has great prices! WOW! What can I saw Ciara is hands down the goddess of seamstresses. I knew before I got engaged that i would take my dress to Ciara. I was so worried that living out of state and finding my dress rather quickly Would be an issue, but Ciara assured me it was fine and she squeezed me in and I am forever grateful. Ciara was amazing throughout the whole process! I bought a sample size dress on sale and afterwords you would have never guessed half the dress had been taken in! She was always extremely reassuring and was able to make last minute adjustments all within the final fitting and dress pick up. She was very knowledgable and my dress was gorgeous!

Ciara went above and beyond to make sure my experience was amazing. Each time I messaged her with a question, she was very professional and quick to respond. During the entire alteration process, Ciara was knowledgable and shared her honest opinion when I asked for it. She altered my wedding dress, my maid of honors dress, my mothers dress, and both of the flower girl dresses. They all looked incredible, but my wedding dress was *chefs kiss* I had a very fitted dress and she made sure it fit like a glove. Even down to where she made adjustments to my straps and hand stitched the beading back together. Ciara also took the time to show me how to sit in my dress and showed my mother and my maid of honor how to do my bustle at my final fitting. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and I cannot thank Ciara enough for her phenomenal work.

Ciara was amazing to work with from the very beginning to the very end. From the moment I stepped through the door during my first appointment, I felt welcomed and as though I could fully voice my opinions about what changes I needed to my dress. Ciara was patient with me (and my mom) as we learned to bustle my dress and as we made changes to my dress during each of the appointments. By the day of my wedding, I had zero concerns that the dress didn’t fit or that I would trip over it. I also LOVE that she keeps your dress until right before your wedding so you don’t have to worry about storing it or your future-husband taking a peek 😉. Ciara is the BEST! I had had my dress for awhile before my wedding and had lost a lot of wedding between dress purchase and wedding date. My dress also did not have pockets - yet. Believe me when I tell you that she took my dress from princess to queen material! She added pockets (and even went the extra mile to make sure they wouldn't show in pictures, they laid perfectly, and that they flowed nicely with my actual body). She is so dang sweet and funny and COMMITTED! She answered all my nervous questions and made me feel so welcome and made sure that everything came out exactly as I wanted. She told me how to handle the dress throughout the day to make sure I was comfortable and that if I had any issues that I could call her. She gave me a goodie bag - ON TOP OF MY BEAUTIFUL DRESS! I felt like a queen on the day of wedding because my dress fit me so well! She is worth EVERY. PENNY. If you are nervous about leaving your dress with someone like I was, put your fears to rest because you are putting your dress(es) in the best hands possible.

My daughter ordered her dress in the summer of 2019 for her August 2020 wedding. Due to the pandemic her wedding was rescheduled for 2021! The long COVID delay added extra anxiety to having ‘the dress’ be perfect. We just had her fitting with Ciara. Ciara was so wonderful. She listened to my daughter's concerns and knew exactly how to address them. Her confidence in handling the delicate fabric was amazing. The dress is perfect and we were thrilled and excited after leaving Fifth Avenue Bridal.

Ciara is a creative genius! I am so happy I found her! She is super easy to talk to, sweet, professional and replies quickly to messages!
