Cicada Video is a wedding photography and video team based in Cedar Falls, IA. Lead couple and owners Cat and Evan work with their team to create one of a kind wedding videos for your special day. With a combined 10+ years of experience, two videographers, and two photographers you're sure to have all the most important moments captured! Cicada Video specializes in candid storytelling and capturing all the little moments. We know just how important your big day is to you, so as a team we provide great attention to the details of your day and walk with you throughout your day to make sure it's exactly what you envisioned! We aim to create one of a kind films for our couples. We provide a number of different packages. Depending on your needs we do videography, photography, or both! We start with personal consultations to understand your ideal day. We pride ourselves on being able to provide you with 8+ hours of coverage, and be with you every step of the way! Your video will then be skillfully edited as a full feature and highlight video.

Evan and Cat did a amazing job with our wedding. We really couldn't be happier! The amount of photos, mixed with the settings and scenes they were able to capture, really allowed us to remember the wedding day like we never thought we would. After, they got us the links to the photos and videos promptly and we were able to share it with all our friends and reminisce. My one piece of advice to everyone here, add the drone video! So cool to see our wedding from the drone angles and allowed our setting to really shine. Thank you again Evan and Cat!

When I came across Cicada’s work the first time, I just knew they had to be my photographers and videographers! From the very first phone call Cat and Evan were the nicest, most accommodating people! They wanted to make sure we would get exactly what we dreamed of — spoiler alert we got that and more! We didn’t even notice the team 90% of the time, they were so respectful of everyone’s space and our Bosnian traditions while getting SO many amazing shots. The photos are so clear, polished, and we feel like we’re reliving the moments every time we look at them! We had a large wedding party & guest list and they didn’t miss a beat! Besides our photos, the videography - wow! Watching our video feels like I’m sitting there live in the moment! The Drone footage - double wow! Such amazing work all around. We cannot thank the Cicada team enough for ensuring we got the memories we wanted (and the memories we didn’t know we needed). Cat is super prompt with responses and the whole team will do anything possible to get the best shot. Our photos are exactly what we wanted - candid and in the moment. Even our portraits (that tend to be a bit more posed) had so many cute candid, behind the scenes photos too! Their team were hyping us up the whole time and were willing to take any photo we asked for. If I could do it all over again I would 150% book Cicada again!

Cat and her team were absolutely incredible to work with, not just on the wedding day, but throughout the planning process as well. As a wedding planner it can be difficult sometimes to find not only professional vendors, but quality vendors as well. I can easily say that working with Cat and her team was a breeze, and they were able to roll with the difficulties the wedding day provided (not only did we have to deal with thunderstorms, but we had tornado warnings going off too!). Cat provided not only photography services, but videography services as well, and getting to watch her team capture the day showed me not only how passionate they are about the industry, but also how talented they are! The photos they took were amazing, and I can't wait to see their full gallery! Overall I highly recommend hiring Cicada Video, they are awesome to work with!
