Cindy Lee came highly recommended by our wedding planner, Altar’d Events. Her journalism style helped build our confidence that she would capture the spontaneous, candid moments that are so special. Cindy Lee came with an assistant, Katie, who did a fabulous job. They were always present to capture the moments without being in the way or feeling overwhelmed with posing. They were organized in completing family photos with about 30 people which is not a small task considering 13 of them were children under 11 years old. They made our wedding day so fun!! And even just a couple days after our wedding, Cindy already had a preview of shots from the day. Working with her was seamless and easy. I would recommend her to anyone in the St. Louis area.

I don’t know how to accurately convey in words how gifted Cindy is. She is able to capture a feeling and deliver it through a photo. I LOVE CINDY. I honestly cried when I saw our engagement pictures, because they were exactly what I wanted. She nailed it!!!! All you have to do is tell her the look you are going for and she will find the perfect setting and the most perfect poses. She also made my husband (who hates taking pictures) really come out of his shell and be in the moment with the questions she would ask during the photo shoot. She captured our pure joy!!! While planning our wedding we knew that our special day would eventually come and go and the hours of planning and the stress of decision making would lead to a fantastic party and wonderful memories, but we also knew there was an important way to make sure that party and those memories could be documented and eventually shared with our friends and family again and again - through pictures. Now that we are married we are so happy we made the decision to hire Cindy as our photographer. She made the entire process of engagement pictures to wedding day timelines so easy. From a very cold and damp November engagement session to 90% humidity and dripping sweat on our August wedding day, Cindy somehow managed to take some phenomenal photos and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera (which is not a common thing for me). The way she made all the colors pop in every photo is absolutely stunning. Some of our favorite photos were totally unplanned - like my grandma's reaction to us entering the reception. I’ve written this review over and over because I just haven’t been able to find the words to describe Cindy and her magical photography skills. Cindy was one of the first wedding vendors I met when I moved to St. Louis 5 years ago. Since then, I knew she would be the person to shoot my wedding. Her professionalism and personality are so perfect for a couple who is not the most photogenic, aka my husband and I. My husband is very goofy and likes to make lots of silly faces and not take things too seriously. Cindy was able to deal with my husbands silly faces with a smile and laugh. She made everyone feel so comfortable during our engagement session as well as our wedding day. I was impressed with the pictures of my husband and his groomsmen, they are not the most social people in the world and Cindy and Colleen captured so many great pictures of them! Cindy made us feel so special and comfortable in front of the camera. The relationship you have with your photographer is SO important. Photography was a very important aspect of the wedding to me. I wanted to be able to look at my pictures and be able to relive my day, Cindy did jus that. She captured beautiful moments and memories that I will cherish forever. I could stare at my pictures all day, everyday. My family and friends has raved about all of our pictures, they just can’t get enough. I can’t thank Cindy and Colleen enough for being apart of our big day, I’m so thankful I met them 5 years ago.

Cindy was absolutely AMAZING!! I would 100000% recommend her for any photography needs. From the moment we met her she was warm, welcoming and put us as total ease. She had fantastic ideas on where to take photos and was INCREDIBLE at poses, lighting and editing. She made us feel very comfortable the entire day, we never felt posed or awkward. During our ceremony she was very discrete on her positioning while still getting the perfect photos. She was fantastic with shooting our formals with my large family and even getting all the kiddos to cooperate. Cindy is hands down one of the best choices we made for our wedding! Waiting to get our pictures back killed me because I just knew they would be wonderful, and I was right. really don't have the words to explain how incredible Cindy was. Other than marrying my husband, Cindy was my favorite part of our wedding day! Not only are her photos perfectly captured and edited but Cindy herself is so wonderful. She is incredibly kind, deeply passionate and makes the entire process so simple and relaxed. There are seriously not enough words to express how amazing it was having Cindy photograph our engagement session this past Fall and our wedding day on April 29th! Cindy and her 2nd photographer were both so organized, detailed and flexible through the entire process and on the day itself. I can't wait to see the amazing way Cindy captured the day :) Cindy is extremely talented and it's a total bonus that she's a joy to spend your special day with, too!

First of all, some of my favorite photos of my husband and me are from the engagement session we shared with Cindy. She's so easy to work with, and she makes the process totally carefree and fun -- which makes for the BEST pictures. Anywhoo... My husband and I have been living in wedded bliss for exactly one month. About a week and a half after the wedding, we received a preview of about 150 photos -- which was amazing. We were able to use one of them to get our thank you cards printed and they look sooooo great!! BUT one month to the day, an email comes from Cindy with over 1000 PHOTOS!!!!!!! I'm overwhelmed with so many positive emotions right now -- every photo is perfect. Every moment captured shows all of the love and happiness that was shared on that day, from the bride and groom all the way down to the florist staff. She even scouted the neighborhood to find a darling little cupcake shop with great decor for some private, post-ceremony photos of the me and my new hubby. Cindy and Colleen are the dream team, and you don't want to miss out on having those two wonderful women capture one of your happiest days!!

Hiring Cindy was hands down my favorite wedding planning decision (other than marrying my hubby of course). I knew from working with her in the past that she is wonderfully easy-going. WOW WOW WOW! Words will NEVER do Cindy's work justice. We just received our final wedding album and we love all of the pictures. They are all absolutely incredible. Coming from two brides who were very picky in choosing their photographer, we trusted Cindy from the moment we saw her photos and found her on Instagram. We had our initial meeting with her and then she met with us a couple of times to make sure that she had the same vision in mind for taking our wedding photos. INCREDIBLY TALENTED, professional, fun, and easy to work with! Our budget was very important to us when selecting our vendors and we knew we loved Cindy's work right away but weren't sure if we could swing it. She was flexible in finding a way to customize a package to fit our budget. My husband and I both agree that we got so much more than we paid for and are so grateful to have these beautiful photos to capture the memories of our wedding day. Cindy and her team were so professional and efficient. She got so many great shots in a short period of time so that my wedding party didn't have to run around for several hours or stand there waiting for us to take a million pictures. We both feel like she captured way more great moments than we realized because it just wasn't a typical dragged out wedding shoot. We actually got to kick back before the reception and have a little fun at a local brewery for an hour while she went off and got pictures at our reception. A total win for the wedding party! When my husband and I got back to our hotel room I hadn't even changed out of my gown yet and I saw that I already had an email on my phone from Cindy. It was the sweetest thank you message and 3 GORGEOUS, already edited photographs from earlier in the day. We could not believe she did that so quickly! It was just the icing on the cake of our great experience with her. SO impressed!

Cindy's work is perfect and gorgeous. She truly captures a person/couple's actual personality. But her work speaks for itself. Cindy is worth your business not only because she is an extremely talented photographer, but because she is so easy to work with and she excels at the business side of her work as well. If you are considering using her for your wedding, keep in mind that so many vendors are difficult to get a hold of and work with, but not Cindy. She will actually take less stress away from you because she follows up and takes initiative on her own! She was always quick to email back, and considered our needs over her own. She is efficient and always lets you know when a payment has come through. She has a kind and fun personality that made day of pictures and engagement photos a wonderful and memorable experience. Out of all of our vendors, Cindy was our absolute favorite to work with. She is the whole package!

We had a phenomenal experience with Cindy from start to finish. We met with her when we were deciding on photographers and knew right away that she made us feel comfortable, and that her knowledge would be a huge help to us so that we didn't have to worry about things unnecessarily - she would take care of it all! Our engagement session was wonderful and she had great techniques to make the time seem natural, help us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and catch some amazing moments. She worked some magic on our wedding weekend when our second shooter was in a car accident to get us phenomenal coverage with a replacement second photographer who was wonderful and professional. Our wedding day was incredibly cold (about 5-degrees Fahrenheit at its warmest) but Cindy was a rock star and helped us find some great indoor locations for beautiful shots, and then braved the cold with me and my husband for some amazing ice-covered canal shots and sunset photos. Her use of lighting and eye for candid, honest moments throughout the day left me breathless and a little teary-eyed as I looked through all our wedding photos when we got them back, and I am highly recommending her to all my friends who are getting married!!! Stunning! I honestly think booking Cindy to shoot our engagement and wedding pictures was one of the best decisions we made in our planning. My husband (so weird to say...haha) and I don't love attention so we were a bit nervous about the engagement session but Cindy was amazing. She made us feel so comfortable and asked us to tell stories about each other which made it a fun date! And the pictures...wow. They are incredible. Cindy and Colleen did such a great job of capturing the true,raw emotion of our 11/5/16 wedding day. And the lighting they capture in every photo is incredible. My husband and I felt the entire day flew by way too fast (as they told us it would) but when Cindy sent us the photos, it was like reliving all of the amazing moments again. Cindy was one of the best wedding-related decisions we made, hands down. After meeting with 3 potential photographers and not being able to agree with my fiance on who we should book, I reached out to Cindy. Best move ever. We chatted on the phone and I knew immediately that the search was over! She completely "got us" as a couple and was nothing short of amazing, both pre-wedding and on our big day. Her work is beautiful, (none of those weird cheeseball posed photos) she is incredibly talented and so, so sweet. Why are you agonizing over those tiny details for your big day when nobody is even going to notice? Because Cindy will notice. And she will capture them beautifully. Although we had a low-key wedding, there were some details that I put a lot of thought into and Cindy caught them all. I am totally embarrassed that I am just now taking the time to write this, as my husband and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary. We had the absolute privilege of having Cindy as our engagement and wedding photographer, a Catholic mass with a Chandler Hill reception. She not only was a calming soul through out what was a wonderful but VERY busy day, but captured our wedding celebration and love for one and other in the most beautiful, honest, and natural way possible. If I had to put the style/beauty of our photos into words, I would say they are classic, yet unique, utilize natural light and scenery to enhance the beauty of the photos while always keeping us and the wedding party as the primary focus of the photos. Simply put we could not be more in love with our photos. However, what puts Cindy above other wonderful photographers is her professionalism, eagerness to know what YOU want, patience with a wedding party ready to party, the ability to make two one-year-olds smile, and go with the flow personality. Even after much planning, our timeline was off by 30+ min, Cindy never once made us feel rushed, yet still somehow captured all of the photographs that were important to Vince and I. I will also say that I hired a videographer that had worked with Cindy at a previous wedding. He was somewhat of a disaster, and I truly think that I would not have received our DVD had I not asked Cindy to intervene. He had said two previous times that he had mailed us DVDs that mysteriously never got to us, I expressed my concerns to Cindy, and after one email from her to the videographer...we had our DVD in <1 week! This is a prime example of how Cindy goes above and beyond what a photographer is expected to do. I can 100% garuntee that you will 1. Love Cindy 2. Cindy and her assistant really captured the essence of our special day and we are forever grateful for their talent! The amount of emotion of how we felt in the moment comes right through in every picture, and this is what differentiates her from other photographers. We picked Cindy for our engagement pictures because a friend of a friend had used her, and I thought their pictures were great. Cindy was professional and organized, always responding to emails and requests quickly. The day of she was SO great at making us feel comfortable, doing things like asking us to name our favorite thing about the other person and then taking candid shots. She gave us sneak peak pictures within a few days which was crazy fast! We got all our pictures within two weeks and they were great, we loved them. Cindy is great to work with, takes great photographs, and comes at a great price!

Cindy and Colleen were amazing! They exceeded our expectations. We got married at Lake Ozarks and they were so great about coming down. They were on time and very helpful. Amazing!!! That's the word that I have for Cindy and Colleen. Cindy followed me, the bride, for the day. She was so easy to work with, it was like she was apart of the wedding. I booked Cindy in April 2015 for my July 9, 2016 wedding after a recommendation from a friend + seeing all of her gorgeous images on her website. Right off the bat, Cindy was very responsive to my messages, questions, and even my concerns leading up to our engagement shoot in Aug 2015 when I was worried my fiance and I would be crowned Most Awkward Couple. We were indeed NOT graced with that title and we were over the moon pleased with our engagement photos. So many professional photographers create stiff, forced, and posed images as if that's the way it must be. However, Cindy's style of photographing allows her images to be natural, free-flowing, and she has a unique knack for capturing the true essence of her subjects. She knows how to get a reaction, and sometimes those are the best photos. She made my fiance and I feel so comfortable in front of that intimidating lens. Fast-forward to our wedding day on July 9, 2016. I almost didn't even know that Cindy and her talented assistant, Colleen, were there. Our ceremony began at 5:30pm with the reception following, but we were able to go off location beforehand for all those good wedding party photos. Cindy thought of some great off-site locations for photos, as my fiance and I were coming up with nothing spectacular. We received our images from both the engagement shoot and the wedding day ahead of the timeline stated in the contract. We even got some sneak peek photos a few days after shooting for both occasions. All in all, we highly recommend Cindy Lee Photography. Cindy is a true artist and master of her trade. My wife Molly and I had Cindy Shoot our wedding in rural Missouri back in March of 2016. She and her associate Beth were a delight to work with. Cindy has a natural eye for balance and light and its evident in her work. Cindy was absolutely amazing! I loved all of our engagement and wedding pictures!! I love that not every picture was "posed". She took a lot of candid pictures (of us laughing, talking, etc) which ended up being some of my favorites! The colors of her photographs are amazing! I cannot express enough how wonderful Cindy was to my now husband and me! We chose to contact Cindy about our wedding photography after seeing a friend's engagement photos on Facebook and fell in love with the colors and the emotion felt when looking at them! Due to my busy schedule at the time, we decided to talk over the phone and she allowed for me to ask any questions that way versus through email; this to me, was perfect as I felt it was more personal than through email. I had such a wonderful experience, we booked Cindy for our wedding without even meeting her face to face! We then scheduled our engagement session and met with her prior to our session! I was a very indecisive, overwhelmed and anxious bride and Cindy was absolutely wonderful and patient! She also worked with us to customize a package that best fit our budget and our untraditional wedding. My husband and I had never had professional photos taken before, so we were nervous and didn't know what to expect, but during our engagement session (and again on our wedding day when emotions were high), Cindy made us feel so calm and gave us the perfect direction that made us feel as though no one was around but the two of us! Cindy was able to capture all of this in our engagement photos and once again on our wedding day! We have had endless compliments on both sets of pictures and the most common thing we hear about our wedding is "your photographer is amazing!" On our wedding day, Cindy and her second shooter, Sherry, were so wonderful and yet they were so 'unnoticed' while capturing the day. We were able to have our day go so naturally and still have all of our special moments captured. I was so shocked at how quickly we received our photos back and they were packaged so lovely in a beautiful, embossed box; such a small detail that was a beautiful and wonderful surprise and shows all more how much Cindy cares about her couples! She is very calm, genuine and kind hearted which I feel is important when selecting a photographer whom you trust will be as passionate about your day, the emotion and the details as you are! Before even being engaged, I knew the photography would be one of the most important items on my checklist. I did a lot of research and contacted a lot of photographers. From the first email to the very end, Cindy was simply amazing. Friendly, professional, and easy going - exactly what my husband and I were looking for, not to mention her competitive pricing. Her work speaks for itself, but to actually be in front of her lens is the special part. She immediately put us both at ease, was quick and so creative. The shots she captured during both our engagement session and wedding day are magical. I cannot stress enough how easy it was to work with Cindy. Throughout the entire process, from all her correspondence to her day of process, she made everything stress-free and quick! We completely trusted Cindy with capturing our vision and she beyond delivered, we couldn't be happier. And I have to mention her packaging, just wait...it is as adorable as she is!

Cindy was one of the first vendors we booked for our November 2014 wedding and was the only photographer we met with...we just knew from day one that she was exactly what we were looking for. First off she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and she is very professional, organized, and always extremely responsive. We loved that Cindy's packages included rights to all photos and a USB with all of the files. We also loved that her prices were very reasonable compared to other photographers we had researched. Our engagement session was awesome and Cindy really made us feel comfortable so that we could be ourselves, which resulted in some pretty incredible pictures. She had also scouted out the area the week of our shoot to pick out the best locations. For our wedding, we had ten hours with Cindy and her second shooter. Cindy and Laurie were so great to work with all day! They were on time, and just came in and started doing their thing while we were getting ready, asking us for what they needed and providing some direction, but not at all interfering with us getting ready and enjoying ourselves! At the ceremony, they were hardly noticed, and for our post ceremony formals, Cindy knew exactly which pics we needed and who needed to be in them...she kept it moving and made it fun! We went to several locations around St. Louis on a trolley and Cindy and Laurie rode along and were super flexible with us and our bridal party. They captured amazing pictures, including lots of candids and sweet little moments that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. At the reception they got beautiful photos of all of the details in addition to great shots of all the major events such as entrance, dances, speeches, garter, bouquet,etc. They even took a lot of photos of our guests at our cocktail hour which were so fun to see and share! The day after the wedding Cindy posted a couple of the best shots on Facebook for us to see, and about a week or so later she posted another album of about 20 pics as a sneak peek, which was so exciting because after your wedding you can't wait to see how they turn out! Then a week, later I got an email that the entire gallery was ready to view. We also got a package with the USB and some other little extras that were packaged so beautifully and are wonderful keepsakes. Cindy was a joy from start to finish and we can't wait until our next big life event to reach out to her for her fabulous work in the future!!!

I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed Cindy! She and her assistant were able to help create the fairy tale wedding that my Bride had always envisioned. My groomsmen and I were given free range in our "getting ready" shots and as a result, we have several hilarious memories illustrated in our wedding photo book. We had several special requests that Cindy flawlessly delivered. There were certain types of photos and poses that we wanted and Cindy had no problem understanding exactly what we wanted and giving it to us. We also requested that she and her assistant try to seem invisible during the ceremony and they did an excellent job. We wanted no shutter sounds so that we could fully enjoy each moment of the ceremony and we didn't hear a thing. Getting married is a once in a lifetime dream come true for Brides (and Grooms) and Cindy helped us realize that dream. She has delivered beautiful portraits and action shots that will serve as reminder of the happiest day of our lives forever.

Cindy did an amazing job. I've been in many weedings over the years and she made myself and my groomsman feel as if she wasn't even there. We worked with Cindy to have our engagement photos done in Forest Park after it snowed and at Steinberg Ice Rink. Even though we were freezing, the pictures turned out absolutely beautiful. She had scoped out the park ahead of time to find a great place for pictures. The pictures were so unique. My fiance does not care to have his picture taken and Cindy made him feel very comfortable.
