Cinema Four40's website captures it perfectly: "If a picture says a thousand words today, imagine watching your wedding video in thirty years from now." Both of us wished we had video of our grandparents' weddings - so we wanted to make this investment for our family and friends. Video simply adds dimension that photographs can't capture. We chose Package Three and added an extra hour of coverage. Cinema Four40's packaging strategy allows you to pick what means the most to you. For us, it was most important to have our ceremony recorded. Everything else that came along with the package - the recording of the toasts, dances, candids, and the Highlight Film were a bonus. I'll admit I'm generally not a fan of the "wedding video" genre, which can sometimes hype the emotion without really good video or sound to accompany them. This does not describe Cinema Four40 at all. Jeff and Larissa are truly talented videographers and editors who make tasteful wedding videos. We were very happy with the detail of planning and communication involved from start to finish - and this contract went on longer than expected due to the pandemic. We really appreciated Jeff and Larissa meeting with us before our wedding to feel out our personalities and get our perspective for what was really important to us to be captured on our wedding day. Their professionalism and kind and calm demeanors kept us going through the day. Not only do they work great as a team, but they coordinated seamlessly with our photographers - and we couldn't be happier with our photographs and videos. We obviously won't be getting married again, but parts of us wish we could do it all over, because we had so much fun working with Cinema Four 40!

They were extremely respectful to both my husband and me in when to film and when not to film. They had never worked with my photographer before but you would have thought they had a million times. I really appreciated how well they worked together to make sure both video and photo was all captured the way I envisoned. I received an edited sneak peak video from them within a day, which brought me to tears. They even sent me some unedited videos/pics they took for fun. Knowing how busy all wedding vendors have been with 2020/2021 weddings, I had no expectations on when I would receive my final video. I was SHOCKED with their speed as I received my video within 3 weeks!!!! I cannot tell you how happy recieving this video made my husband and me when we arrived home from our honeymoon. But on top of their phenomenal abilities, they are two of the kindest souls I have ever met. Jeff and Larissa are so talented and the final products they deliver are exceptional. We loved that we could preview another couple's site ahead of hiring them, and now we are so happy to have our own menu of videos to watch over and over. Thank you Cinema Four40!

Not only are they unbelievably talented, but so kind, genuine, helpful, and accommodating. Having them there on our wedding day was like having family. Through the entire day, they were perfectly on time, and made us feel so comfortable. They went above and beyond what we had originally discussed out of the kindness of their hearts, and made sure to capture all of our most precious moments on the wedding day. g videos are among the most polished I have ever seen. They have multiple videos on their website to get a great idea of the shooting style and DVD menu format they use. Although there are definite stylistic similarities among their wedding videos, each—including our own video—has its own unique features so that you don’t feel like you are getting a cookie-cutter product. 2) Narrative skill: Larissa and Jeff spend quite a bit of time learning about you, your personalities, and your relationship. They ask you for your priorities, and manage to weave together different sequences into an absolutely fantastic and truly representative story in the “highlight reel,” which I think is the crowning jewel in their packages and honestly the item that we will return to most frequently. Their music selection for the highlight reel is also fantastic and enhances the scenes. 3) Professional behavior: Jeff and Larissa arrived on time with their intern who was in training. They asked beforehand for our permission to allow the intern to be a third shooter. They set up very quickly and moved their equipment efficiently to the different areas for shooting. Based on the video they provided, they were able to get amazing shots for many of the important events in our wedding, without being aggressive or too intrusive in their positioning. My wife Alycia was especially appreciative of how supportive Larissa was when she was getting dressed—she reminded Alycia that it was her day and that her comfort should be prioritized, even getting her water during an especially busy time. Finally, at the end of the night when our pre-selected hours ran out before dancing began (due to unavoidable delays in the wedding schedule), they gently asked us if we wanted to purchase additional shooting time. We did not feel pressured to make an immediate decision, and after careful consideration, agreed to additional time. Now, we believe that was the right decision given that so many of our guests were captured on the dance floor! 4) Excellent Value: Their packages are on the more expensive end of the spectrum of videography, but if you have room in your budget, the product is of very high value. My wife and I decided to go with Cinema Four40 because we knew we would not watch a wedding video where you had to manually scroll to different scenes. Their DVD-style menu allows us to immediately and easily go straight to our vows, the Chinese lion dance in our reception, or even to a scene as specific as the recessional of our ring ceremony. The secure website link also makes it very easy to share with friends and relatives. As promised, they included every bit of the ceremony (which meant the whole hour of the Indian ceremony and half-hour of the western ring ceremony). Finally, the multiple angles and panning shots on a gimbal really lent a cinematic quality. The use of drone footage for an aerial view of the city was also a nice touch! ***Summary: Cinema Four40 is a wonderful and exceptionally skilled couple-run videography business. They make fantastic wedding videos, and we cannot recommend them highly enough! If you have room in your budget, their service is an excellent value.

I will say that we were hesitant about hiring a videographer, just due to budget constraints; however, this was by far one of the BEST wedding investments EVER. The featured film, ahhh, still gives us chills. We watched it at least 100 times the day that we received it. How can you fit every perfect moment into eight minutes of film that makes you cry tears of happiness every single time you watch it?? That is why they are the BEST. Us, along with our family and friends, still watch this on a daily basis. And the format of the full film is just like a real movie - so easy to navigate and we are able to actually re-live the best day of our lives over and over again thanks to Jeff and Larissa. We are so incredibly thankful to have had the opportunity to meet Jeff and Larissa and are so grateful that they were able to capture our wedding day the way that they did.

I found Cinema Four40 through a friend who had used them years and years ago when my circle of friends started getting married and I remember falling in love with them instantly and saying then that I wanted them as my wedding cinematographer. Larissa and Jeff are so humble, professional, sweet, personable, patient, and accommodating. Not only are they an absolute dream to work with, their work is unbelievable and out of this world! It rained from dusk till dawn on our wedding day and Cinema Four40 made it seem like the rain was actually a PART of our day - almost as if it was part of our wedding decor. It was so wonderful! Having a wedding videographer to most couples is an "unnecessary" expense but that is 100% not true - it was the one thing I am so happy I did and will never regret. I could only imagine if my emotions could be stirred watching strangers that I never met, how incredible my very own wedding film would be. . After talking with Larissa over the phone the deal was sealed--she was so warm and friendly. Through my discussion with her, I felt confident that the product they would produce would be exactly what I dreamed of. Larissa helped me better understand that what they would be creating was not just videography, buy cinematography. What her and her husband, Jeff, create is art. . Throughout all of the wedding prep, throughout the wedding day, and even post-wedding (seriously I just reached out to them nearly 8 months after my wedding), they were and continue to be incredibly attentive, caring, and most impressively, they superseded our expectations. .
