Cinematic Wedding Pros

I typically do not write reviews but I was extremely disappointed with the customer service we received following our wedding day. First, on the website and through email, CWP states you will receive your wedding film 3-4 months after your wedding (this was very recently changed on her website to say 5-6 months for a highlight and a year for a video, likely because of the poor feedback she received from me on my disappointment around the 7 month late delivery!). I did not reach out to ask where the film was until 3 months after that 3-4 month window having received zero communication from CWP on where my film was. I was very patient in the process up until we received the first version of the film. We didn’t receive our highlight reel until 7.5 months after the wedding and our full film until 10 months after the wedding when a wedding shot by them on the same day as ours received their highlight 3.5 months earlier than us. We were only told that there were “unforeseen circumstances” that delayed us double the amount of time and again zero communication until I reached out. Second, within the contract you are told you will receive video messages from your guests which was a huge selling point when choosing CWP as we wanted to hear from our loved ones. There were zero video messages in our highlight or full film. I paid for the biggest package (10 hours) and as professional wedding videographers one would hope they would have their schedule down to a T when filming someone’s big day to ensure their contract is met. They were late to film (never received a reason why) and now I have no messages to look back on our day with. We were offered a $250 credit but when looking at the overall dollar amount I spent, to not receive a larger refund was unacceptable. She continuously told me how I received 2 videographers, and a third for 4 hours to ensure full coverage and yet I didn’t receive full coverage. Third, when we finally received our wedding film, it was embarrassing a to show our family. There was poor audio where we couldn’t hear what was being said in our ceremony, constant background noise instead of overlaying music, parts where the camera is wobbling and shaking, angles of the speeches are far from “cinematic,” very few candid shots of our guests and parts where the focus were on someone’s head. Also, multiple times during the ceremony where the photographer was dead in the middle of shot. Seeing as I received three videographers, they could have taken a few seconds to ask her to move in and out or simply move one of the cameras. The drone footage included in the video was lacking. Our whole reception apart from dinner was outside at a ski resort and there was no drone footage of that. There was a five second clip of the town where the church was and that was it. While she thought this is what I wanted, I promise you no one would want what we first received. Brittany reworked the film after expressing all of these concerns (missing her own set deadlines twice and taking another month and a half to send the updated version). I was happier with the final result but it still lacked the video messages that I hired her for in the first place and could only add a few guest shots since over ten hours only a few were taken. However, the poor customer service, lack of communication and extremely late delivery would cause me to not recommend them to friends and family.
