The worst, most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. Booked their most experienced DJ, then "miraculously" he was unavailable a few weeks before my wedding. They gave me their brand new guy as a replacement who SUCKED. The owner, Steve, had told me if I wasn't satisfied he would pay me back every penny. Needless to say I have a string of unprofessional messages from Steve essentially telling me to kick rocks and I won't see a penny back. Now he’s arguing with me like a teenage girl on the Facebook review I wrote. DO NOT USE THEM!
We had the worst time communicating and getting in touch with both the DJ and the owner of the company. Our DJ announced names incorrectly despite going over all of the names prior.
Michael was amazing at our wedding! The guests loved him, he helped us stay on time for each event, and chose great music. Genuinely nice guy and I'm so glad we had him.
During the planning process we worked with owner Steve. There were a few minimal communication issues through email, but calling Steve always resolved them.
We had a good experience with Cipriano Productions. They have reasonable prices and were great with communication. Their online planning tool is really cool and convenient too. We met up with our DJ the week before the wedding to go over details and he was really nice. Michael M. was so excited to be our DJ and had a ton of experience so he was helpful in guiding us as well. During the reception he played all the music we asked and was even cool with my dad changing things up last minute! We had some cultural music and he was very flexible with equipment and sources of music. Great value and great fun! Thanks again Michael :)
DJ Mike really listened to the music we wanted to have played, excellent service
We went with a package from Cipriano Productions that included a classical guitarist for the ceremony, jazz trio for cocktail hour, and a DJ for the reception.
At first, we met with a DJ, we went and watched him at an event, felt comfortable with him - then a few weeks before the wedding, we were told he left the company. We were assigned to another DJ - we tried to set up a meeting with him, and before we could do that, we were assigned to a different DJ. We were told that this DJ (Steve F.) was a seasoned veteran, and would be a great choice for us.
This is now a week before our wedding. We tried to schedule a meeting with him - we live in Cleveland, and he wanted us to drive to Youngstown to meet him. It's a week before our wedding and we work full-time - we don't have time to drive an hour each way for a meeting. I tried suggesting closer places, he kept suggesting places in his area. We decided to just speak on the phone. We asked if he had ever done a gay wedding before - not a big deal, it's the same as all of the other weddings, but there wasn't a "groom" and there wasn't a "best man", there were two brides, a maid and a matron of honor. He said twice during our phone conversation, "Mr. & Mrs." and asked multiple times about a best man. We went over our timeline with him multiple times, names, pronunciations, keeping in contact with our photographer, etc., but needless to say, our confidence was NOT high. We told him we needed dancing music - we don't really keep up with super current hits, but said things from the 90's and typical wedding dancing music.
The wedding day comes - he doesn't communicate with our photographer - AT ALL. We are missing half of the maid of honor's speech, because the DJ didn't say, we're getting ready for speeches, and the photographers were eating their dinner. He was singing when he was supposed to be DJing, and we couldn't figure out why. He was playing weird rap music that is NOT what we asked for. Hardly anyone was dancing because no one had any idea what he was playing. My wife went up to him multiple times to tell him to change the song, because we didn't know what it was. It was a disaster. A bunch of people after the wedding commented that the DJ was not very good, and I have to agree. For a "seasoned" DJ - I expected much better.
The upside - the classical guitarist and the jazz trio were lovely. Steve Cipriano played the guitar during the ceremony. We requested a specific song for the seating of the parents and the processional - he sounded great. We requested another song for us to walk down the aisle to - again, I thought he sounded great. I was very, very pleased. The jazz trio did a great job - it was maybe a little loud for the room we were in, but it was nice background music while people socialized and had hors d'oeuvres.
I would certainly have the live music portion again - but I would NOT use them for a DJ. If I were just rating the live music, I'd give them a 5 - but I feel a 3 is reasonable if I'm averaging the live music and the DJ.
We had Steve as classical guitarist during the ceremony and Mike McBride for our reception DJ. They were both fantastic. My husband really wanted live music for our wedding but it wasn't in our budget. Then I found Cipriano Productions and we couldn't believe the price, let alone for live ceremony music. The ceremony music was great. Mike met with us the week of the wedding and we walked away from the meeting thinking "wow, we just got a second wedding planner" with everything he told us he would do for our wedding. He kept people on the dance floor all night. I would recommend both Steve & Mike McBride.
DJ Mike McBride was fantastic, kept daughters wedding moving at great space, stayed longer with no rejections. Great evening
The one thing my fiance had requested for our wedding was live music, but with the price of bands it didn't look like we could make it happen. Until I found Cipriano Productions! I did the silver package which included the DJ and live guitar for the ceremony, and I also added on a solo piano for the cocktail and dinner hours. Steve was perfect during the ceremony it sounded beautiful! The pianist was just what we wanted and played the right style of music for dinner, I did not catch his name in the whirlwind of they day though! And now the DJ, Manny. He was AMAZING! We had a bit of a late start and the pianist had to leave before dinner was over, Manny was on it and already had music ready to go. He knew exactly what to play to keep the evening going and the people on the dance floor. He even came out and danced with us! I highly recommend Manny he was such a blast! If your looking for a balance between live music and a DJ, Cipriano Productions is the vendor for you they really do have the best of both worlds!
My wife and I were pleased and honored to have Cipriano Productions D.J. our wedding. We have dealt with this company for 9 years and once again, they came through. Our DJ was Justin F. and he was PHENOMINAL!!! Every guest commented on how terrific he was and his vast knowledge of music was superb. He knew what to play at the right time and seamlessly kept the party organized and fun. Justin was a calming influence in the planning of the reception too. Steve Cipriano, the owner, is class act who put his heart and soul into each wedding because he cares that much about his clients. As I mentioned, we have used Cipriano Productions in the past so having them DJ our wedding was a no brainer. All of their DJs and staff members are outstanding. Everybody wants a great deal and not pay too much for things that they purchase, yet, you still want it to be a quality product. With Cipriano Productions, we found the most affordable prices and a product that is of high quality. They are professionals who truly care about their clients. So do not worry about their low prices because these guys could charge so much more and still be worth every penny. If you are looking for DJ entertainment, live music like a jazz trio, and ceremony music, just stop your search right now and hire these guys. We had their uplights and drapery package as well. We didn't get the photo booth but we have used it in the past and it too is very affordable. You could pay more for other DJs if that makes you feel better, but if you want the very best with the bonus of having it extremely affordable, take my word for it, Cipriano Productions is the way to go. Thank you so much Justin and Steve!!!
Great service! Super fun dj!
We used Cipriano Productions for our wedding ceremony music last July. We were looking for a classical guitarist to play at an outdoor venue. They provided everything (speakers and all) we did not have to worry about anything. Paul was absolutely amazing. He contacted us several times to make sure we were on the same page regarding the music. He was so talented and professional. Paul was able to play all of the music requested. He even filled in 1/2 hour more while we had to wait for a late officiant :) I'm not sure about the previous post. I would for sure use them again in a heartbeat. The price was very fair and we had great service and communication with Steve. Everyone is different. We called and researched several vendors and was glad we chose them.
5 stars!!! Everything was perfect for my daughters wedding. The dj was fantastic and played all our requests. I would hire Cipriano Productions again and I recommend them to everyone I know!
Cipriano Productions provided live music for our cocktail and dinner music when my husband and I renewed our wedding vows. The guitarist, Steve, was outstanding. Cipriano Productions has an online planning system, so it was very simple to just go online and choose the special songs that WE WANTED for our occasion, and the time line is really very helpful and was followed so there were no problems.
Everyone complimented the smooth way our reception ran.
I would highly recommend Cipriano Productions for anyone that has a special occasion coming up and wants to have a say in there music selections and a simple no hassle planning system. We will be using Cipriano Productions again for any special events we have.
Dj Mike McBride, Steve Cipriano and the Jazz trio band helped to create a fun, yet classy atmosphere for our wedding! Steve played classic guitar for our ceremony and was able to learn all of the songs we requested. Several guests commented on how the live ceremony music and the jazz trio were unique and fun touches. We were also so pleased with Mike! He was fun and super helpful throughout the night, even getting my plate and drinks. Several of our guests gave us positive feedback, sharing that they liked his energy, yet he wasn't cheesy like other djs. The thing I was most grateful for was that everyone from Cipriano Productions really listened to us and helped to fulfill our vision. Would definitely recommend them to friends and family!
This is the best dj service out there!! We hired them for our May 2, 2015 wedding!! Mike McBride was amazing!! They worked with us for the way we wanted the flow to go. Definitely would recommend to a friend!!
Beware. There are other DJ's out there. Don't get caught up with this company. Although the service was not completely horrible, I would definitely not work with them again and 100% would not recommend to a friend.
Not worth hiring. I worked out a price with them for a DJ for my wedding. A week before the wedding, I received a called from the owner screaming at me asking why I was paying as little as I was for the DJ. I then forwarded the email of our negotiations, so we were able to enjoy their DJ for the wedding. However, the lack of professionalism was terrible. No girl should have to deal unnecessarily stressful situations a week beforehand. There is enough else going on!
We had Michael McBride dj our wedding on 10/17/15 and he did an amazing job! Mike is very friendly and personable. He was so easy to work with and even helped with carrying my food for me at our reception. Everyone commented on how great he was and also on the music selection that he chose to play for the classic rock we had requested. Cipriano Productions has an online planning website which was very helpful. You can choose songs for your must play, play if possible and do not play list, along with a section to add in your event timeline and all of the special dances. I highly recommend using Cipriano Productions, specifically Michael, for your dj!!
Cipriano Productions was wonderful! We booked both the Jazz Trio and Manny as our DJ. The trio added just the right feature to our cocktail hour. I just wish that we would've had them for longer! (We unfortunately had to cut them short due to running behind on our end). And Manny...we could not be any happier with the work and professionalism that he provided. We met with Manny the week of the wedding and instantly felt like we were in good hands. He got to know us and truly listened to our requests. We feel like he went above and beyond to make sure that our day ran as smoothly as possible. Manny even got out on the dance floor to keep the energy going, teach dances, and join in on the fun! Guests were out on the dance floor the entire night--and people from all ages! Highly recommended!
Josh was really great and kept the guests dancing all night. The online system for entering music & planning a timeline is extremely helpful and makes everything run smooth. There were a few "must play" songs that didn't get played, but it didn't make the night any worse. Overall, I would recommend this company and the reviews we've seen everywhere were spot on about how well done all of the company's events are.
We booked Cipriano Productions for the Jazz Trio during our cocktail hour and DJ for our reception. It was an easy decision considering their stellar reviews and unbeatable pricing! There was a little bit of a slow start as far as email communication with Steve, but we were never worried that something would go wrong. Jazz trio delivered a great performance. We requested Manny as our DJ and he was great! His easy going and fun personality made us love working with him. He listened to all our requests and kept the dance floor fun all night with all our requests, and more. Only concern was that we used their microphones for our ceremony and the sound cut out at times and had some interference that seemed to be equipment related.
We hired a ceremony violinist from Cipriano Productions and she was great! The price was affordable. No complaints!
We had Justin as our DJ and I can't say enough to complaint him. He was very easy to work with and provided suggests when we needed but was open to playing the music we wanted when we wanted it played. He came earlier to our wedding then we paid for just to make sure the acoustics were perfect. He is a lot of fun and does a great job of getting guests to dance.
Our DJ met with us prior to the wedding to discuss what we wanted. He fulfilled every request and treated us like family. He even made the bride her plate at the reception so she would keep her dress clean.

We used Cipriano Products for all aspects of our wedding. They had a package that included acoustic guitar for the ceremony, jazz trio for the cocktail hour and a d.j. for the reception. All of the muscisians did a phenomenal job! Our d.j. (Josh) was awesome! He really kept the party going and the dance floor full! He even rolled with it when my dad's side of the family, unexpectedly, pulled out the ethnic traditions.
I had DJ Josh. A lot of people commented that they loved the music. There were no breaks between songs it was nice.
The price was right. Only $590 for my five hour wedding, but I wasn't that impressed with the DJ. He said he would take requests but never did. He had trouble finding the polish money dance song and he was definitely hard to hear when announcing during the wedding.
Most affordable DJ company we could find that had good-quality equipment. We had a less experienced DJ but he worked very hard to make everything perfect -- he danced all night! Couldn't ask for more for the price!
We has our venue for 6 hours, but Cipriano suggested only booking the DJ for 5 hours and adding on the day-of in 30 min increments (same price as if we would have booked upfront). It turned out to be a great suggestion and saved us money. The DJ was excellent and we felt like he thought of us family and wanted to make us happy!
Working with Cipriano Productions for wedding ceremony and reception music was such a pleasure! Our DJ, Jason Barthol, thoughtfully went through our whole wedding plan and made very helpful suggestions. The ceremony musician did an amazing job as well. Jason really listened and made every effort to fulfill all of our needs and make us feel at ease. Everyone (Steve Cipriano and Mike McBride as well) we worked with at Cipriano Productions was very responsive and helpful. They have a great online planner as well. Cipriano Productions was very easy to work with and I would highly recommend their services!
Don't hire the DJ! My mother-in-law and I found Cipriano Productions at the Cleveland Bridal Show. The owner was playing in a very classy, smooth, three piece jazz ensemble. I instantly fell in love with the band and set an appointment to discuss pricing with Mr. Cipriano himself. He had years of experience and he had a lot of good ideas. He was fine with the fact that my husband and I are offbeat when it comes to our musical taste. And, he was very reasonable to remind us that our guests didn't want to hear our playlists on our iPods. But, he upsold us on a package deal. Worst mistake ever on my part! I originally wanted his jazz trio only. And they were VERY reasonably price; only $600 to play our cocktail hour and our whole reception. I wanted them to play for the entire reception. But, foolishly, I allowed the owner and my mother-in-law to talk me into the "Cipriano Special," which included the use of the jazz trio for the cocktail hour and the DJ for the reception for only $1000. I only agreed to the use of the DJ because I made myself perfectly clear that I didn't want Cheesy Jon Lovitz guy from The Wedding Singer. I specified that I wanted mellow and classy. I was promised by the owner that all of his employees were professional and had lots of experience and would give me exactly what I wanted. The owner gave us access to his huge online database of music for the DJ, which allowed us to choose some cool songs, but more importantly, the database allowed us to choose songs that we did not want played. I was happy about that. So, after paying early in the spring of 2012, we met with our assigned DJ only a week before our June wedding of 2013. We should have been contacted a month before the wedding for this last meeting. The DJ went on and on about how we were his 160th wedding to DJ and how he wanted it to be perfect for us. He complimented us on our offbeat musical choices and said he looked forward to making our day special. He seemed fine at first. He went over details with us about announcements and the bridal party. Again, I specifically told the DJ that I didn't want, "let's get ready to rumble!" type of announcing. On the day of the wedding the jazz trio was wonderful. Guests really enjoyed the music as they mixed and mingled to a perfect volume of easy listening in the background. I was very pleased with the jazz trio. The DJ was ok at first, too. But, he was totally cheesy and used the tone and inflections that I asked him to avoid. Then, things got terrible. One of our drunken guests was wildly inappropriate with the DJ. Furthermore, in her drunken stupor, she knocked over one of his speakers. I felt horrible, but I can't control the actions of all my guests. Every family has that one relative with a drinking problem. Instead of being rational and handling the situation like a true professional, the DJ flipped out and started cursing and throwing things. Thankfully, this was near the end of the night, but most of my guests left 30 mins early due to the DJ going postal. The DJ insisted that we pay $350 for the speaker (I don't even know if it was really damaged). We paid to avoid arguing and we were embarrassed. But really?! Why wouldn't these guys have insurance for accidents like this?! This couldn't have been the first time a guest became unruly and knocked over a speaker. Ruined our reception! I was VERY disappointed and would highly suggest you check out other vendors.
Michael did a wonderful job Djing our wedding! He was meticulous and kept the whole night running wonderfully. Our dance floor was always full and he did a great job playing a mix of different kinds of music throughout the night.
Cipriano Productions was easy to work with and very professional. They have an online program that you can fill in all your special requests and information regarding your wedding and that made it easy to fill out as we made decisions on music. You can save your responses and come back and fill it in on your free time. I loved the online system.
Josh Angell was amazing! He was prompt with returning phone calls/texts with questions and accommodated all our special requests. He helped keep the party going and was polite and professional.
Cipriano is an amazing value for amazing service. They are very willing and able to make your day a great one!
Cipriano has a great package for weddings with a ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We got a live guitar for our ceremony (and he was willing to learn any song you want him to play); jazz trio for the cocktail hour (everyone's favorite!); and a DJ for the reception. They have a nice online system for picking music and laying out the flow of the whole day so everyone is on the same page. This package was perfect and super affordable!
I would recommend spending more money on another company. I was never told until a couple days before the wedding that it would actually be another company doing our videography at the wedding. Our contract stated the videographer would begin filming an hour prior to the start of the ceremony to film the bride/bridal party and groom/groomsmen getting ready as well as record statements from the bridal party and family/guests. None of that happened. My grandmother actually said the videographer came up to them saying he would record statements from people and then never did. This was something I was looking forward to and was extremely disappointed it did not happen.
We have not received our videos yet as we were just married December 1st, but I already feel it will not be up to the standard we were hoping.
We used Cipriano productions for our wedding, We had the DJ Michael, who I would recommend in a heartbeat! He was wonderful, and super attentive! Mike was a wonderful DJ he got always wanted to check on my husband and I to make sure we were okay, he played a wonderful variety of music, and not once was our dance floor empty. If I could book Mike all by himself without having to go through Cipriano I would. However we also used the Jazz band that consisted of Steve Cipriano himself... it wasn't until after the wedding that we learned how rude the jazz band was to my father (the man who paid them), my bridal party, and even some guests. If I would have known the night of the wedding I would have told them to pack up their things and leave. We've tried to reach Mr. Cipriano since, but it appears he refuses to return our phone calls. It was disgusting how unprofessional they were... I was so disappointed to hear the band had acted that way. I don't know if it was miscommunication between guests and the band or what, but i also found it unprofessional that my reception started at 6 and that was also the same time the band showed up to set up... It was a mess, we had equipment being set up and tested, while guests are arriving. If I would have known, I would have never booked them. I guess you get what you pay for.
For our reception, we wanted simple blue lighting. The uplighting from the company was perfect! The lights were beautiful and added just the right amount of ambiance and glow for the reception! It looked great during dinner (with low lighting) and throughout the entire evening (even with the other lights on). It was perfect!
The owner of the company made it seem like we were getting a great deal and I was excited to have selected Cipriano Productions. Their online planning program was great and everything was going smoothly until about 2-3 days before our wedding. That was when I got the call from someone saying that they were the new guitarist for our ceremony to which I was not notified of prior to receiving this call. I also had a hard time getting in touch with our DJ for our reception. The guitarist that did show up to play our ceremony was not someone I would have selected at all if I had been given a choice. Our DJ for the reception was very accomodating and friendly but was not totally set up before our guests began to arrive :( Overall, it wasn't too much of a hindrance on our day but I did not feel that I got what I had been told I would in the beginning.
Cipriano Productions was used at my wedding in September 2012 and they did an awesome job.
The meetings we set up 6 months prior to the wedding went very well each time, we had written contracts which were followed through with, and communication was always open.
They have a website which I could break down the timeline of my wedding on with specific songs and times I wanted to hear those songs as well as entering all the names of my bridal party for the DJ to announce. This is a very convenient feature and when I didn't meet the deadline for my entries to be finished before the website locked me out, they gave me an extension so I could finish it.
We had an AWESOME classic guitarist play at our ceremony. He started a half hour before the wedding started, the ceremony was delayed and he played on the porch of the outdoor venue through the rain for our guests, and then through the ceremony. It was such a different element to our wedding and EVERYONE raved about how beautiful the music was. This was truly my favorite part.
Our DJ met with us a few days before the wedding and reviewed our reception timeline. He was dressed nice, in communication with whomever needed to talk to him, and very in tune with the needs and mood of us and our guests. When something went wrong or didn't look right he fixed it. He even tried to fix my cake topper which was falling at one point! Something went wrong with the PA system and so the one disappointment was that he wasn't very loud with his announcements, but this may have not been something we could have avoided that night. Overall everyone told me that he was a great DJ and that they had a great experience.
Our price was around $600 for five hours of DJ service and an hour of classic guitar, which turned out to be a little longer because of our rain delay (which meant a lot to us). I think that we definitely got our money's worth and we are very satisfied with Cipriano's services. I plan on using them again for future events in which I could use their services.
I was not about to spend over 1000 dollars on a DJ so when I found Cipriano Productions I knew I would go with them. Their service was great. We got to plan the wedding through an online service which was nice not having to meet with another vendor during the busy time. Our DJ was Josh and he was great. He was very flexible during the wedding and would change things up at the drop of a hat. It made the night go by very nicely.
We had the privilege of working with Mike for our DJ for our wedding. He was awesome!! He kept things going, he played what we wanted & was great all night long! I would totally recommend Cipriano Productions & ask for Mike to be your DJ
We had Mike and he did a great job. We had a request list a mile long and he played as much of it as he could. Only complaint is that he ended at 11 and the reception ended at 11:30. This is because we told them start time would be like 6:15-6:30 depending on what time people started showing up, and he started the clock at 6 when there was no one there. And then he started music 15 minutes after everyone started showing up. But in the end it was not a big deal. $100 an hour
We used this company for our reception. They had a really nice website where you could pick your music choices ahead of time and basically plan out your wedding. I finally spoke with the dj about a week before our wedding which was a little nerve wracking. I had receive d a call from one dj already but he had been switched to another wedding. Our dj ended up being young and very nice. We weren't the happiest though because we did not hear a lot of the music that we put on to our play list, especially certain things like the cake cutting. He did get up and dance to get the crowd going but it wasn't the best overall experience. If we could do it over, we would have chose another company.
Cipriano Productions provided the music for our ceremony. It was lovely and very appropriate for our venue. Our particular guitarist was only 15 years old and did a great job!
Cipriano did both our ceremony music and DJ duties. It was by far the lowest price and it was actually the same person for both parts. I loved him and I couldn't be happier! Definitely would use them again and the price was amazing!
Make sure you know your contract. They tried to charge a travel fee and tell us that it was in our contract when it wasn't. When my husband refused to pay the fee, they waived it. When I wrote about the travel fee as an example in my wedding planning blog (which was under a blogger name) of why you should understand your contracts, the lady with Cirpriano Productions called me and yelled at me and then left unprofessional comments on my blog (in which I had not used their name).
The DJ that we selected from their team was Jason. Jason was an excellent DJ with great attention to detail and took time to get to know our tastes and made sure to have the correct pronunciation for everyone's names. He was punctual, professional and kept our reception on track and fun. His flexibility during the event made things flow smoothly. If we could recommend Jason without recommending Cipriano Productions, we would.
Very professional and easy to work with!
Cipriano productions was very affordable, courteous and catered to all our needs.
My DJ helped provide a time line of events that kept the night moving without missing a beat. thanks
Mike McBride is very dedicated to meeting the needs of the Bride & Groom. Preplanning is a key and he makes sure everything happens in the order it needs to. Only years of experience can prove that. Cipriano's client website was a great tool to use in selecting the song list that we have gone back to to reference even after the wedding day. Excellent DJ service! 2 Thumbs up.
We used Cipriano Productions for our DJ and Classical Guitar for our ceremony. They were great! Our DJ, Mike, was so helpful and the ceremony music was beautiful.
We picked them for our DJ because they had good reviews and a great price. We meet with the owner and he was great. The music selection was huge and their equipment was great. No complaints or problems with any of that. However, our DJ was another story. We had Jason and two weeks before the wedding he called us to have a prep meeting that HAD to be that weekend. This didn't work for us and was a big inconvenience since it was the groom's weekend bachelor camping trip, I worked and it was my bachelorette party. We met anyways and went over the basics. I already filled the online form out so he basically read my form and OKed it...waste of time. We ordered too much cake because we placed the order months in advance, but when the RSVPs finally came in a lot of people couldn't make it. Because of this, we wanted the cake served later in the evening to give people a chance to enjoy their food, let it settle and then help eat all the extra cake. He wanted it right after dinner to make the dancing flow better. During every meeting, every phone call and even at the wedding, he asked me to change it. How many times do I have to say that's not want I want?? It worked out better may way too! In his defense, he did seem like a nice guy and was a good DJ. I think we just got off on the wrong foot due to bad timing. The company was great to us though.
Steve and his crew did a great job. They were very organized and kept things moving. The trio was such a nice touch for dinner!
;they do not actually include the lights that are advertised in the package unless you ask for them.
