Citizens and Southern Event Center is a historic venue in Spartanburg, SC, hosting weddings and events. This charming property is listed on The National Register of Historic Places and has been a local cornerstone for nearly 150 years. Classical architecture gives the building an air of grandeur, making it the perfect setting for unique and refined celebrations.
Citizens and Southern Event Center is located in the heart of Downtown Spartanburg on Morgan Square near restaurants, hotels and shops. The building features 5,000 square feet of event space, double-height ceilings, symmetrical pillars, and large sash windows with elegant drapery. You can host your ceremony on the main level with an audience of up to 75 loved ones. After you tie the knot, you can take advantage of the outdoor patio or upstairs mezzanine level for an elegant cocktail party. Later, you can return to the main function room with up to 125 guests for a seated dinner reception, utilizing both the ground floor and the upper mezzanine. Larger gatherings of up to 175 can be accommodated standing-style, perfect for an evening of music and entertainment. Whichever option you choose, the dedicated staff will be on hand to respond to your requests and make sure your celebration runs smoothly.
Choose Citizens and Southern Event Center to transform your special day into something spectacular. Their event planning team and on-site day-of coordinator will happily guide you through their various packages, helping you choose the right fit for your needs and budget. They recommend booking their inhouse catering team for your entrees and appetizers, but they are also open to welcoming a chef of your choice. Their bar services are provided by C & S Events and Catering LLC, a licensed alcohol provider serving beer, wine, and liquor. Convenient parking is in the Magnolia Street Parking Garage, with additional curbside spaces and wheelchair-accessible spaces adjacent to the building.
