We had an amazing experience with City BBQ from start to finish. The tasting at our local restaurant was so easy, and we loved that they could handle our appetizers, buffet, and late-night snack all in one place. They also offer desserts, but we decided to bring our own.
Since they had worked with Blue Heron Barn before, they already knew the venue and exactly what to expect, which made everything seamless on our wedding day. The food was incredible, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about it—one of them even went to City BBQ the very next day because they loved it so much!
One of our favorite little touches was that they packed up some of our late-night snack and sent it home with us after the wedding. It was such a thoughtful surprise after a long day. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice and would absolutely recommend City BBQ for any wedding or event.

The ONLY thing I would've changed was the amount - I wish I would've overstated a bit due to the way I know my family eats. We didn't have a drop of leftovers, which wasn't an issue on our end, but there were a few people who were looking for seconds that didn't get them. I guess that is a testament to how amazing the food was!!

be beat. From the cast iron serving buffet table to the quality of food it was just perfect for the atmosphere we were looking for. My uncle has been to 4 weddings with BBQ this year and he said it was by far the best he has had.
The day of team made sure things were at the right temperature, asked for our opinions on when things should go out, were flexible when our timetable got bumped back, and made sure my husband and I had enough food.
My coworkers are still enjoying some of the leftovers this week, and I couldn't recommend a better option for food at a wedding, especially an outdoor one.

was savory, and green beans were able to be made vegetarian. The staff was friendly and checked in with guests on food and helped clear dishes. They also bagged up all the food for us at the end of the night and had an end of the night “newleyweds” meal box, a little touch that was so thoughtful. Also from the day of booking to the wedding day communicated frequently so we had zero worries in regards to cost, expectations, schedule, etc.

I didn't even have to think about them on the day of the wedding - they were there, they set up, and took down without me even thinking about it - and left the leftovers in the fridge. Not only were they easy to work with, but everyone complimented the food. Food tasting good was the least of my concerns, but the more positive feedback I get on them, the more impressive it was. If you're looking for quality barbecue, attention to detail, easiness to work with, and friendliness from the staff - look no further than here. I did not give 5 stars because we did have a few issues at the wedding - the company had a mix up and did not provide a carving station that we had in our contract, and the on-site staff was not kind to my husband when he tried to talk to them about it. With that being said, after the wedding, Allison was amazing and worked with us to give us a monetary compensation for their mix up (as we paid for a service that we were not provided), but I was really put off by how the on-site staff treated my husband at our own wedding. I would still recommend City BBQ - as the food was amazing, and Allison is the best, but if I could do it again, I would double check that everything in our contract is what they were planning to provide the day of.

The staff that came to the wedding was marvelous! They went well above their duties! They did tasks that were out of their scope. Tended to details that were not their obligations! They were phenomenal!!!! We had a lot of people who were very nervous about covid even being an outdoor venue and the staff wore masks the whole time even though it was outdoors. Super accommodating!!!! Love them and appreciate them! Could not recommend more!!!!

y exchanged between 70 and 100 emails over the course of my engagement and I don't think she ever replied more than 1 business day later. Allison is willing to put in the time and energy to make sure that you get what you want. Allison is also remarkably friendly and genuine. You can tell that she enjoys making her clients happy. S+ vendor.
The food at City Barbeque was absolutely amazing and many of our guests went out of their way to tell us how much they enjoyed it. We also thought that this restaurant provided unbelievable value in their packages. Their cancellation policy is also extremely generous (so it is no risk, but if you book them you won't want to cancel). You should definitely book City Barbeque if you are thinking about a BBQ wedding, it's honestly a no-brainer with delicious food like this coupled with astonishing service and fantastic rates.
