In the early days, he and his wife operated City Barbeque out of his garage and even used his neighbors’ ovens to prepare his sides. These humble beginnings led to a focus on providing exceptional service to every customer and creating an unforgettable barbecue experience from start to finish. Now with locations across seven states, Rick and his team still make customer satisfaction their top priority, crafting each dish from scratch using fresh ingredients. City Barbeque is available to provide on-site catering services to celebrations throughout Lexington and Louisville. Their wedding coordinator, Antonia Hansford, will assist you in crafting a dining package to fit your specific needs, desires, and budget for a stress-free experience. Holy cow I can't say enough positives about City BBQ!!! First, we sampled all their food before we booked and it was AMAZING. Antonia was so helpful throughout the entire process and helped elevate so much stress. All night our families and friends kept complimenting the food, the catering team on site, and the set up. If absolutely amazing food is high on your lists like it was for us, definitely go with City BBQ!!

Antonia and the whole City BBQ crew from start to finish were amazing to work with! Starting from the tasting all the way up to the wedding day everything was extremely well organized, our questions answered rapidly and making changes to the menu was a breeze. All of our guests commented on how good the food was and the S'Mores bar was a huge hit as well! Would recommend them to anyone considering BBQ for your wedding!

We met with Antonia to do a tasting and were shocked by how hard it was to choose, everything was delicious. She was so helpful and really listened to my wedding vision to help make sure everything they did fit well. She was also helpful as I made a couple changes along the way, even up to a week before the wedding. We thought it was budget friendly but also so good! All our guests were raving as well!

INCREDIBLE. they showed up early , they brought their own decorations that matched PERFECTLY with the aesthetic of our wedding, they were professional yet went along with our goofy tribe that we had. As they were getting our leftovers together they made individual containers for the bride and groom. Nobody could stop RAVING about how good the food was (which is always a plus) love love love !!!

City BBQ is the best caterer in town. From their professionalism, to their elegant decor, the process is flawless. They provide an amazing experience, delicious food, and world class hospitality. I would Recommend working with their team for any event. Devan Schmidt, their wedding coordinator, is thorough and quick with responses. She makes sure all your needs and cares are taken into consideration. Rachel Combs, their field manager, makes sure your event is setup perfectly and ran flawlessly. Their team, their setup, their food! It's all amazing and I will make sure to promote them to anyone getting married!
