This is the first time I've ever done catering for an event and I have to say I was absolutely blown away about how easy the process was! From the beginning working with our catering specialist, Veneisha, to the end of our wedding day. Veneisha was so fantastic and responsive to our questions regarding packages and setup. We opted for a full service package (set up, serving, cleanup) and it was perfect for a stress free day. Our servers were so friendly and helpful making sure all our guests received their fill. The food was absolutely delicious and many of our guests went up for seconds and thirds! I highly recommend doing a tasting and consider City BBQ for your event.

City BBQ was one of the best choices we made for our wedding! We worked with Veneisha who helped us coordinate every step of the way. We reached out to them after seeing great reviews online and were able to set up a tasting quite quickly. From the tasting experience, we knew that we had to go with City BBQ. The food was phenomenal, the tasting portions were generous, and Veneisha's explanations of packages/options were thorough! We left the tasting feeling confident in our choice. Fast forward to the day of and our guests were raving about the food. Not only was it absolutely delicious, but the staff working our event were extremely attentive and kind. After my husband and I got our food, a staff member checked in with us to ensure we were enjoying the food, offered to bring us anything we needed, and even cleared our plates (we had a buffet style service so we were not expecting this). They also made rounds to check in with guests and help clear the space throughout dinner service. Overall, we could not be happier with City BBQ!

City BBQ is the best BBQ we've ever had. From our first tasting to wedding night, City BBQ was nothing but amazing in every aspect. Always responsive. Easy to work with. More than competitive pricing. Friendly staff. Tremendous food. The brisket sliced on location is so good. We received many positive comments about the food and presentation from guests. We highly recommend you use City BBQ if you are considering BBQ for your event. And make sure you get the peach cobbler and homemade whipped cream!

We are SO glad we booked with City BBQ for our wedding day!! Veneisha was so awesome to work with through the whole process. At our tasting, everything tasted delicious and it was SO hard to choose! Veneisha helped us plan exactly the quantity we needed, she and the team were very flexible as we changed course last minute due to weather, and the ONLY food item we had leftover at the end of the night were green beans! We had so many compliments on our dinner and desserts. I wish I could go back and enjoy the food all over again... it was so good! You will not regret booking them for your big day!

We were SO happy with our experience with City BBQ. Veneisha was incredibly kind, helpful, and communicative throughout the whole planning process. She answered all of our questions quickly and made everything easy. On the day of, the City BBQ team was amazing. The room turnarounds were quick, the service was fast, and they were constantly asking us if we needed anything. The food was SO GOOD and we heard from most of our guests that it was the best wedding food they ever had, and I agreed! Also couldn't beat the price. I would highly highly recommend them!

We had two requirements when trying to choose a caterer for our wedding: We wanted buffet style BBQ, and we wanted it to be guaranteed that none of our guests would go home hungry. From our initial tasting and consultation, Veneisha worked with us continuously to put together the perfect menu for us. In the months leading up to our wedding day, we had multiple changes and alterations to the menu (like adding vegetarian and vegan options, for example) and these were updated for us instantly each time. Everything at City BBQ is honestly so good that we had a hard time just choosing just a few entrees and sides. Veneisha provided honest advice for us to help us choose and ensure that all of our guests would enjoy the dinner. No one went home hungry and the staff even provided take home containers for our guests to take whatever was left. Last, and most important, the food is some of the best BBQ you can find in the city!

Everything was amazing. The food was hot and fresh. People had over flowing plates and are still talking about the food. Vaneisha was a great help and wonderful at communicating from the very beginning. Would easily work with them again!

Everything was exactly as planned. The caterers (Veneisha, Angela, Avion, & C.J ) were very friendly and attentive. The food was too good, we should have ordered more. Everyone loved it! Exceeded our expectations and would 100% recommend!

Everyone at my parents surprise vow renewal raved about the food! Most went for seconds! Veneisha was extremely easy to coordinate all the details of the full service catering with. She was very polite, communicative, timely and professional. The set up was beautiful! The on site team of Kim, Giselle and Isaiah were polite, efficient and very communicative. The guests loved them! The set up and clean up were both super clean. The food was refilled before it ran out. Plates were cleared quickly without sitting out for too long. When they left for the evening you couldn’t even tell we had catering. Thanks for helping to make my parents 40th anniversary Vow Renewal a memorable one!

City Barbecue was the perfect caterer for our wedding. The food was so delicious and many of our guests commented on how great it was. The setup of the buffet was so unique and beautifully decorated, unlike traditional buffets. The servers were incredible and made sure that everything was perfect for all of the guests. They kept the food warm and bused tables, and made sure all of my guests were satisfied. The overall experience was amazing. The caterer manager was perfect with her communication skills and knowledge of wedding events. I was amazed at how responsive she was with answering questions I had. I highly recommend them for any event!

When you go to a wedding, you don't usually go in with spectacular expectations of the food. It's usually overcooked pasta, dry chicken, and overly mashed potatoes. We have all been there. We didn't want to have a boring traditional option like that. We decided to go with something a little different that would leave everyone talking about it. City BBQ was the best choice for catering our wedding. It was hot, fresh & delicious. Our servers were Angela, Anton, Maggie, and Andee. All of them were incredibly friendly, fun, outgoing, helpful & sincere. Even at one point I noticed that they were helping set up our water carafes at the tables which was not assigned to them. They went completely out of their way to be helpful. In addition, they were instructed to bus tables as people finish their food, so they were cleaning up plates through the evening. I was the bride, so I didn't get a chance to eat that much, and even though dinner was well overwith and all the plates were cleaned up, they would not remove my plate in case I wanted to go nibble at any of it throughout the night. In a hectic and stressful day like a wedding, little gestures like that go a long way. Again, they could not have any more of a pleasure to work with.

We had City BBQ cater our small-medium sized wedding in Chicago and could not have been happier with the experience. The food was great and a unique experience our guests keep raving about. When booking, ask to work with Veneisha, she is fabulous and does not miss a detail. It was also a very reasonable cost overall, if you are looking to save some money.

We found City BBQ on The Knot and set up a tasting to give it a shot - probably our luckiest wedding find! The food was the best we had tried and was still the most affordable option! We went for the macaroni bar which was a huge hit, would definitely recommend doing that! Across the board our guests have said how amazing the food was and how good the set up looked - it stands out in all aspects. And if you're in the Chicagoland area, Veneisha, our wedding event specialist, was absolutely incredible! She went above and beyond in making the process smooth for us, making sure we knew all of our options, and even gave us other tips for our wedding like how to save on flowers! She responded quickly to any email we sent her and was very accommodating. Another thing that made her stand out to us in addition to all this was that she took a picture of us at our wedding. It was a small thing that I think speaks a lot about her - she clearly cares about her work and puts in more effort than I've seen from any other vendor. We had incredible vendors across the board, so for Veneisha to stand out says a lot! Her catering team of Angela, Kim, Jadia, Giselle, & Ken also made the day incredible! They brought us food themselves, tended to us so well, and our family and friends that helped tear down said that they were so great in getting things done on time then as well! While the Chicagoland team is especially amazing, I really really recommend you try this place out for your wedding no matter your location!

I loved absolutely everything about City BBQ. When we went in for our food tasting with Veneisha we instantly loved her and the staff was fantastic. Veneisha keep in touch and updated our food order, answered any and all questions. We were so happy when she came by our wedding. She talked to all of our guests as if she knew everyone there. She was absolutely fantastic and truly helped make our wedding so special! Our caterers were Angela, Kim, Jason, Jordon, Stacy & Candice and they were absolutely fantastic! All of my guests couldn’t stop talking about how awesome and friendly they all were! Every time I walked past them they told me how beautiful i looked and truly made me feel so wonderful! They truly catered our wedding with the upmost professionalism and everyone involved was truly Fantastic. Our guests are still talking about how amazing our food was! Friends of mine who had their own weddings even said the food was the best they ever had at a Wedding! The day was so smooth and I was not inconvenienced once! I will always cater with City BBQ for events!!!! I loved everyone who from City BBQ who took part in mine and my husbands day! (They even made mine and my husbands plates and walked them to our table for us) I would give them all a million stars!!!! Thank you all so much again!!! I even asked them to take a picture with me (Veneisha, Angela, Kim, Jason, Jordon, Stacy and Candice) so I can have them in my photo album because they made my experience that amazing!!!

They did a HORRIBLE job at our wedding. My brother booked them a few years ago for his wedding and they were outstanding. They arrived with only two people and were supposed to send 4. The ladies were on their phones the entire time. They cooked the mac and cheese in the garage with a hot plate and the fuse kept blowing. They didn't serve anyone, even though they said they would. They didn't serve the lemonade, even though they said they wood. The lemonade stand broke and fell on a guest. They ran out of dressing, BBQ sauce, and brisket. They told guests to take chicken because there was not enough brisket. They didn't bring a platter for the appetizers so we had to use on of our own. Someone spilled BBQ sauce on the serving table and they never cleaned it up. The water they brought spilled all night long because it was broken.

This food is AMAZING! I had a graduation party for approx 55 people and thank goodness I ordered for 70, because people went back for seconds and thirds. There were people who don't like beef brisket that said it was "Outstanding!" The only disappointment was that there was no meat left over for us to enjoy again the next day. As long as the guests left happy :)

They were amazing! The food was great, the service was even better. They were truly there to help the entire way.

Wow, right from the beginning we knew City BBQ was for our wedding! They let us have a tasting - which was massive to say the least. They have so many different options for what you need, being very accommodating and professional all around. Suzette was on top of everything throughout the process, and the appetizers and dinner went SO smoothly the day of. I can't tell you how many people complimented us, saying it was the best wedding food (and some said the best BBQ) they've ever had!

Seriously couldn’t have been better! They were amazing, attentive, polite, and so professional! The food was amazing! Even the pickiest eaters were satisfied! And they totally fit out rustic theme! If I could I would give them a 10 star rating!

City BBQ catered our wedding June 2019. Suzette went above and beyond to answer our questions and was easy to get ahold of. She came to the venue layout meeting to make sure everything would be ready and smooth the day of. Also, the food was AMAZING. Everyone raved about our food all night. We highly recommend City BBQ!

City BBQ catered our wedding on 5/4/19! And they were amazing! I cannot say enough good things! From the first tasting to the day of the staff was amazing! The food was the best and our guests could not stop raving about how amazing the food for dinner was. I would definitely recommend and will go to them for any of my catering needs again!

From the very beginning Suzette was great. We scheduled a tasting, which was amazing and it was fun. We were able to decide completely with her help that same day. We kept in contact with her throughout the months. City bbq met with us as the venue a couple weeks before the wedding to check where they’ll be setting up. Karla was the lead the day of the wedding and was amazing! There was one time I went into the kitchen during the reception to see how everything was going and if they needed anything or wanted to eat and she shoo’d me out the kitchen saying not to worry about a thing! My husband and I felt completely at ease and literally did not have to worry about a single thing the entire night. The staff were so great. We had so Many people tell us throughout the night that it was the best food they’ve ever eaten at a wedding. The food taste amazing. Every single thing we chose were a hit. Especially the peach cobbler. The only fault was my husband and I specifically chose a certain an extra dish that we really wanted there ( the corn pan pudding is amazing). The day after the wedding I asked around and found out it wasn’t served. I was refunded and given an apology immediately but I believe it would go gone unnoticed hadn’t I mentioned it. Simple fix. Everything about city bbq was amazing and I will forever recommend them. Already planning a visit for dinner!

The food was great. We ordered the brisket, pulled chicken, slaw, corn pudding, and mac n cheese. The corn pudding was loved so much it was gone at the end of the night. They packed up the leftovers for us to take home. We ordered more than we thought we would need but it was good because people had seconds.

The food was amazing! Everyone, I mean, EVERYONE commented how wonderful the brisket was! I'm still daydreaming about it. We used the City BBQ in Florence KY and Kim was fantastic- she answered all our questions promptly and generated quotes for us with a variety of options. The staff was awesome and had the food out and ready on time. Highly recommend for a buffet style wedding.

City BBQ did such a great job catering our wedding! They provided appetizers, the dinner, a s'mores bar, and cut our cake, so there were a lot of moving parts, and everything went so smoothly the day of the wedding that we didn't even have to think about it! Suzette was wonderful - she was responsive, coordinated the venue walk-through and was very thorough, kind, and professional. All of our guests raved about the food and many of our friends were very excited when we had leftovers available! The s'mores bar was so cool and perfect for a fall wedding. I'd highly recommend them to anyone wanting a professional caterer that provides crowd-pleasing food!

We chose to use City Barbeque as our wedding caterer because the food was incredible and our Wedding Caterer Coordinator Kimberly Hardrick was amazing. She helped to customize our menu to match our needs perfectly, and she made our wedding tasting one to remember! The day of the wedding Kim and her catering team went above and beyond to make sure our guests were served and satisfied. They had all the food set up beautiful and well presented. I can't imagine having a better experience with a caterer.

Amazing! Ever single person st our wedding was beyond pleased with the service and the food! All of our guests loved the food and it was all fresh and absolutely delicious. Christiane was an amazing leaison to get us ready for our wedding and everything went so smoothly. There are a number of other bbq places in the area that offer a full pig roast, but reviews were inconsistent. I HIGHLY recommend this place as I duly believe their service, food, and particular ambiance will always be consistent. We will use them again should we ever need another bbq type catering! Let me just say I couldnt have scripted it any better. We were married on October 28 of this year at Jorgenson Farms in New Albany OH and it was a country style barn wedding. Randy Arehart and his crew performed above all expectations. The compliments we receieved on the food and the service was exceptional and after the way I treated them early on was not deserving. The menu was INCREDIBLE the hospitality tremendous and City BBQ has earned my business and trust from here on out and I will be using them for future events. Randy has truly become a friend to us and has simply made me true to the cue from here on out. He honestly puts alot into making sure the events are ran smoothly and acts like he is serving family. Well done Randy well done City BBQ the food was delicious, but your people made the wedding!!!!
