. A bit of background, we had celebrated our engagement at Alinea, and were very much inspired by all the theatrical and otherworldly presentation in its décor and food. We admit that capturing some of the concepts was a bit too idealistic and impractical, but really hoped something similar could be pulled off regarding our centerpieces; we wanted to use the element of dry ice to add an extra effect. Our original florist fell through 2 months before our wedding and we had to start all over, which was pretty stressful. Luckily one of our friends recommended the florist who did their wedding, City Scents. We didn’t get our hopes up too high, since it was only 2 months before the wedding, and we mentally prepared to begin heavy compromising thinking nobody would want to take on dry ice. We were very happy to hear back from them and that they still had availability; and it only got better from there. Not only did Teresa liked our theme, she was really excited about it. She picked up on our ideas and vision really quickly, and said she enjoyed the creative challenge. She was willing to meet with us on a day/time that was convenient for us. She was extremely professional and so easy to work with when it came to planning. The pricing was very reasonable, fit perfectly with our budget, and she helped us tailor and prioritize to make sure we stayed within budget. Finally, she was able to deliver exactly what we wanted. We scheduled a meeting prior to signing any agreement to see a sample, and it was spot on, needed no changes whatsoever, and we signed right then and there. Her pieces were beautiful and extremely unique and creative that aligned perfectly with our vision. I don’t necessarily think the picture do them justice to be honest, just a glimpse. Perfect is the word that keeps coming to mind each time I think about the night, and Teresa’s arrangements were a huge part of making our night very special and enchanting. I definitely recommend City Scents Chicago; we’re so happy we found them!

al weeks, I knew this was the absolute best choice for my July 2017 wedding. Though I thought I knew what I wanted, after hours on Pinterest and a google file, I still had little confidence that I knew what would work best in the space. My initial talk with Theresa instantly put me at ease and I knew I was going to have exactly what I couldn’t articulate! Every question or subsequent idea I had was met with grace, expertise and quick reply. Theresa was absolutely a joy to work with throughout the entire process. She met with the venue manager to not just go over details, but get a sense for what else could be done to our floral plan. Her easy, congenial manner made each meeting fantastic and I walked away with a smile each time. The attention to detail, like adding an heirloom pendant to my bouquet, and finding the exact centerpiece vases (that I had mentioned…. in passing…once!) was above and beyond. The care Theresa and her team took on my wedding day, to help at the venue, take care of details (much to my maid of honors joy) and overall willingness to make the event beautifully effortless floored me and our guests. I cannot express how grateful I am to have had City Scents expertise, talent and care involved in the perfect day of my wedding. If you are getting married in Chicago, you’ll be missing out if you don’t contact them! City Scents is truly a Streeterville treasure, and I’m so fortunate to have been a patron of theirs for so many years and on such a beautiful, important day.
